Set up of SDM on SOLMAN 4.0 (SP 13)
Hi!
I would like to setup SMD functionality.
I use SAP Solution Manager 4.0 with SP 13.
Here are the steps I already executed:
a) Installation of Wily Introscope Enterprise Server 7.1 (Location: Server of SOLMAN)
b) Deployment if file ISAGENTSMD71*.SCA (Location: Server of SOLMAN)
c) Setup steps on SOLMAN (conf. of at least 3 BTC processes, activation of BI source system, configuration of SLD according to tcode SPRO)
The errors I currently have:
1) Managed Systems Setup
I am about to set up the SMD for the monitored systems via http://server:50000/smd --> Diagnostics Setup --> Managed Systems --> Setup Wizard
Retrieval of selected solutions failed
The contents of at least one solution could not be retrieved from Solution Manager, or could not be uploaded to Diagnostics DB

What has happened?
Call of URL http://server:8000/SAP/BW/BEX terminated due to error in logon data.

What can I do?
Check the validity of your SSO ticket for this system.
If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.
Error Code: ICF-LE-http-c:666-l:E-T:21-C:6-U:5-P:5-L:3
HTTP 401 - Unauthorized
My questions:
- Which additional settings for SDM setup (on SOLMAN and on the site of satellite systems) should be done?
- How can the errors (see above) be fixed?
- Should some additional SLD configurations be executed for the monitored systems?
Thank you very much!
regards
Thom

Ok did you use the SAP note 987835, to define your solution?
Did you check that the value in smsy are all fill in?

Yes it is populated when running the different wizards on the central system.

You can run the transaction sm37 and check the job called CCMSBI_CCMSBI_SETUP*.
You should have a long time between ~ 600 to 100ms
If not there is some SAP note to activate the BI. SAP Note 1107804 & 1110013

ManjuHi Manju,
The issue is due to inactive object in the infocube .
Please check the note: 1110013 - ST: Manual activation of BI Content for E2E Diagnostics SP13 attachment . it will help to activate the inactive object.
or
Go to basis configuration -> step 5. configure automatically ->re-excute the Activate BW Source System. so it will reactive the infocube.

SDM agent is not registered with SDM server of Solution Manager server
Hi,
We are in process of configuring EWA report for JAVA stack of SAP system along with ABAP stack. For ABAP stack the EWA report generation is straight forward and it is working fine. We are facing the problem while configuring EWA report for JAVA stack. Pls. find below the steps that we have followed and currently where we are stuck,
1) Installation of Willy introscope on Solman server.
2) Define JAVA component for each SAP system in SMSY
3) Installation of SDM Agent on all managed systems
4) Trying to attach SDM Agent to SDM server(solman) with the use of smdsetup.bat (managingconf & sldconf ).still we are getting error in smd agent log file as given below:

5) The solman_setup t-code execution is successful in Solman server.
6) Trying to configure Technical system for JAVA system type through solman_setup : At this time we are getting another error as shown below:

I have gone through the SAP note: 1274287 : My solman system is already on the required patch level for LMservice and St 400 SP. Also, the managing systems Java patch level is more then sp06 which is minimum level required.
I need your help to know, why i am getting this SAP J2EE ENGINE 7.00 patch level error although my Java stack is up to date with the required patches.
Waiting for your reply friends.

Service Desk Issue in SolMan 4.0 - Installation Number differrence
Hi all,
I am in the process of setting up Service Desk in SolMan 4.0. When I create a message in my satellite system, the message is sent successfully and appears in my Solution Manager. However, I have red light appearing. This is because I need to provide Sold-To Party and Reported By Business Partner entries in the support message. My understanding, please correct me if I am wrong, is that these entries can be automatically filled based on iBase information. I have followed the IMG to setup the iBase.
Upon further investigation, I noticed the following problem. My installation number in the satellite should be XXXXXXXXXX, this is reflected in the System Landscape and iBase. But, when I look at the SAP Attributes tab in the Support Message, the installation number is YYYYYYYYYY. I think that this difference is a possible cause of my problem at hand.
This was the problem as there was an entry in table BCOS_CUST with YYYYYYYYYY in the satellite system. Can anyone tell me where this entry came from? Could this be from configuration of Service Desk?
Thanks,
RobertThank you very much!
The problem is solved!
Im my case was necessary to apply SAP Note 1055630.
I have assigned the role "SAP_SM_S_USER_GRP" to the user with RFC_READ connection, refreshed the last alert in DSWP and tha is.
regards!

Solman 7.0 : Resolution for error 'Answer the question for currnt SAP comp.
Hello sap experts,
We are in the process of setting up Service Desk for Solman 7.0 (SP 19) for which we have created a custom user status profile ZSLFN001 and attached to SLFN transaction.
Now we are able to create a new message with the customized dropdown for user status (fast entry screen), but when a message processor is assigned to the notification an error is generated with the following details.
Message type : Error (Red traffic light)
Ref object : Header Data
Message Text: "Answer the question for the current sap component.".
I feel this has something to do with the action "Answer to app-specific questions" but am not sure what i am missing here.
Regards,
VivekHi,
Yes you have to use that action.

Start SDM in standalone mode:
sdm jstartup "mode=standalone"
Set new password:
sdm changepassword sdmhome=/use/sap/SID/JC00/SDM/program newpassword=test
Set SDM to integrated mode:
sdm jstartup "mode=integrated"
Now the password of SDM has changed.

UMASK check unsuccessfull STDOUT:077 STDERR:
Hi Experts,
In series of problems I am getting while doing managed system configuration in solman_setup here comes a new one.I am getting this error in "Byte Code Adapter Installation" step. I have changed the umask setting of <sid>adm , daaadm ,smdadm to 027 and restarted the server (killing startserv agent manually). I have deployed introscope java agent ISAGENTJ5*.SCA and ISAGENT*.SCA through SDM in solman but ISagent status is greyed(refer screen shot).Hi Venkat,
I checked the note 1945636. I have already corrected the umasking problem.I checked SMD log file "smdagent_trace.5.trc" and found file permission issue as shown in the note.I gave proper permission to all the listed files. After SMD restart i could see many of these error is not appearing however one permission issue is still coming. Finally i gave 777 permission to this file but still same error coming.

Unable to process EWA service session for portal instances
Hi Guru,
I am in process of generating EWA reports for portal ,below are the steps I have completed successfully.
1. SMD agent installation on portal.
2. Defined portal system in SMSY.
3. completed SOLMAN_SETUP.
4. Completed Setup Wizard for managed system.
5. Deploy IS agent via SDM in Solman.
6. Introscope agent setup done for managed system
7. Managed system data is visible in IS Enterprise Manager.
I have created EWA service session for portal but I am unable to process the service session in DSWP ,I have ran SM:EXEC SERVICES job but still I am unable to process the session data.
System Configuratoi: SAP EHP 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0 and portal is netweaver 7.0
Thanks
AbullaisHi,
I have exactly the same problem as this and have performed all the checks as specified but still my Java only NW 7 system shows "Dates for this session are overdue".
My Solman system is Ehp1 SPS 20 and all the managed system setup using the wizard has completed successfully. In Root Cause analysis I can see the data that the extractors have gathered on the J2EE system and in Enterprise Manager I can see the Introscope data also.
The only thing I can think of that may be affecting the EWA session is that after I added the system into the logical component that is part of the Production solution landscape the scheduled EWA session that then appeared for the J2EE system in the list of sessions had a date set for the next scheduled EWA run (29th March). To test the EWA report for my J2EE only system I used the "change date" option after clicking on the J2EE session and set it to 25th March (this changed on 24th March). The session date then reflected the EWA session for the J2EE only system woul run on the 25th.
Checking the session this morning I have the red flag with "Dates for this session are overdue" status.
The sessions for the ABAP based systems are working fine, it's only this one system that is J2EE only that I have a problem with.
Any pointers ?
Regards,
Brian. -

Site to site VPN re-connection issue
Hi I done site -to -site VPN between two UC 560 and I am able to make call too. Both site I am using DDNS FQDN. Now I am facing these problems,
1. When ever any of the site gone down , it is taking around 45 minute to get reconnect the VPN.
2. With in 2 minute Dialer interface is getting WAN IP address from service provider and it is updating with Dyndns also. But while checking crypto session details from my local UC I can see the peer address is not changing or showing none.
please help me to overcome this issue
I tested by restarting ROUTER-A UC560
Please find the status of remote site:

i'm not familiar with Bordermanager version but be sure you're using 3.9
with sp2 and sp2_it1 applied.
There are not specific documents that i'm aware that explains conf
between ipcop and bm but if ipcop behaves as standard ipsec device, you
can use as a guideline some of the docs that explains how to configure
bm with third party firewalls.

System monitoring - DSWP and RZ21
Hi all,
I am using sap solution managers workcenter "System monitoring" to set up the sap monitornig for a huge landscape. This works well, but to receive alerts (e.g. per mail) I additionaly have to do the settings in RZ21 (assign central autoreactions). This is not very comfortable because each setting has to be done twice (in dwsp and rz21) and there is also the risk to forget something. Do you know any other possibility? Do you know about plans to integrate the functions of RZ21 into DSWP?
Thanks
MichaelHI
We are setting up system monitoring is solman? i do have the same doubt as mentioned earlier

can anyone guide me here? and what would this affect the RCA setup

Early Watch Session overdue - Error in Data Transfer
Hi folks,
in my solution, the Early Watch Reports from the productive system are labeled overdue (with a red flag). It says that there is no data transmitted from SDCC.
When calling SDCC manually, it says that I don't have the necessary authorisation (one of the three S_SDCC_* profiles) to call it in the satellite system. I, though, HAVE all of the profiles.
RFC also works fine.
When calling SDCC in the productive system itself, it says: "EWA_SAPOSCOL_B : no matching interface found" " > function module not found" "EWA_SAPOSCOL_B : funcname /SDF/EWA_SAPOSCOL_B , module 001203", which seems to be the real problem. I don't have a clue what that means respective where to look to get rid of it.
Can anybody solve this? Points will be rewarded as a matter of course. Thanx in advance!
DirkThe red flag means the session is overdue.
Could be for a number of reason - firstly are the trusts correct set? As it appears (from the text you've posted) you cant call SDCCN on the remote system from SOLMAN.
The other reasons could be you dont have the correct configuration setup on the monitored node.
SDCCN Check the RFC settings for Setting-Task specific.
You should have a link pointing back to SOLMAN and this should have the tick for Master set.
Check you have the correct sessions scheduled and they are set against the RFC for solman, not OSS and they are a periodic job.
Sessions needed are
Refresh Sessions
Request session data.
You can manually run the session by right clicking and say run now.
If you are still struggling post additional details.
RTCCTOOL is used to check patch levels are upto date, not the configuration or links. You can still run EWA without being on the latest patch. -

AbullaisHi,
Kindly check security guide for RCA authorization,

It may be due to authorization issue.

Kal.there is no difference in setting up the CCMS in Solman, whether the landscape environment is Clustered or not..
you can use the link to get .sim tutorials to setup the CCMS in Solman and refer the SDN link to setup the monitoring, both will help you
