Check where you installed the 9.2.0.8 patch, in the database home or Enterprise Manager Agent's home?
Check the compatibility between the versions of agent, database and OEM.
Try to reinstall the (correct version) agent again in Node 1.
If you have 2 database on Node 2, if they both uses the same Oracle database version and same home, you need to install the patch only once, but got to run the upgrade and catpatch.sql seperately in each databases.

Unfortunately, you will be unable to accomplish this in LabVIEW. This operation is not supported by the data acquisition driver. NI-DAQ will generate an error when trying to configure port C as two 4-bit ports. While NI-DAQ does not support this function, it is possible to use register-level programming. Application Note 131 includes sample register level programming code that will accomplish this task.

Problems in Setting up SB Live! 24-bit Exter

Last month I purchased a SB Li've! 24-bit External device to hook up my laptop via USB. The box came with two CDs -- one for Windows Vista and another for Windows 2000/XP.
The other day, I tried setting it up on Toshiba 3440ct running Windows 2000, and on Thinkpad X60s running Vista. In both cases, the software installation was smooth, but there was no audio output either on my 2. speakers or on a brand new Creative Inspire T600 5. speaker. However, there is output on the headphone.
Note that I have disabled the laptop's built-in sound device as suggested in one of the forum threads.
Is there something wrong with the device? How do I proceed in finding out the source of problem?
Help, links and pointers are welcome.

Now I have managed to run it on Thinkpad/Vista. I think that there was a conflict with the built-in sound device, which I thought was disabled. It wasn't, hence no auido. After disabling it, everything is working fine.
On Toshiba 3440ct (Windows 2000), I have only disabled Yamaha AC-XG audio device. It is still not working using any audio player (including Creative MediaSource Player). Note that Creative Speaker Settings --> Speaker Test shows that all speakers are ali've and well.
Do I need to disable "Audio Codecs" and "Legacy Audio Drivers" from Device Manager --> Sound, video and game controllers.

I set firefox to open in 32-bit mode but it doesn't.

Netflix instant streaming still asks me to restart in 32-bit mode even tho I followed the instructions to ALWAYS start in 32-bit mode. I even reinstalled firefox. On Netflix when I click on the button to restart in 32-bit mode, it goes in a loop and just keeps asking for the 32-bit mode. This is a new problem, since in the past restarting in 32-bit mode always worked.

This is a known problem with Netflix and Microsoft Silverlight right now. You can try the following:
See if there is an update for Microsoft Silverlight.
After checking for updates, Go to Finder, then Applications. Right click on Firefox, then click "Get Info". Then check the box that says "open in 32-bit mode". Restart your PC, and test again. Does it work now?

Can I upgrade the 32mb video chip set on my DX9000, running 64 bit Windows 7

I got tired of building my own PC's, this is my first all in one. I can not find any slots for video cards.

This can be done by sharing the printer on the XP system and adding it to the Windows 7 system using a Windows Update driver.
The first part is to install and share the printer on the Windows XP system.
To share the printer on the XP system, follow the steps in this document from Microsoft. I recommend using something simple for the printer share name as it will need to be entered on the Windows 7 system.
The next step is adding the printer to the Windows 7 computer. Make sure to uninstall the printer from the Windows 7 computer before continuing.
1. Go to Start>Devices and Printers.
2. Click on Add a printer at the top.
3. While it is a networked printer, it is not the current network standard printer. Select Add a local printer.
4. Select Create a new port with a local port for type.
5. Enter \\<host computer name>\<printer name> without the < > symbols. The host computer name is the name of the computer that has the printer attached to it. If you do not know that name, go to the host computer and go to Start>Right-click Computer (My Computer on XP)>Properties. The computer name will be listed here. The printer's share name was selected in a previous step in the Microsoft article.
6. Click Ok and the printer driver screen will appear. Click on Windows Update to ensure it is the most current list.
7. Select the printer model from that list.
8. Follow the rest of the prompts.
At the end of these steps, the printer should be shared from the host computer to the other Windows 7 computers.

How To Set Up a Virtual Windows 7 Pro OS on a Windows 7 Pro Host - 64-bit

This may be as easy as stating, "Windows 7 Pro 64-bit cannot run on a Windows 7 64-bit host." Most of the documentation I find states something to that effect - however, ALL of that documentation is 5-8 years old. I cannot find ANYTHING in the
last year or so. My hope is that this has changed. All I need/want is to set up a Win7 Pro 64-bit test environment.
I can install Windows Virtual PC successfully. I can run through the wizard to create the .wmcx file. I can successfully mount a Win7 64-bit ISO or point to the CD drive for an installation disc.
What I CAN'T do is successfully load Windows 7 Pro 64-bit in this environment. I receive the following (all details in image):
Windows Boot Manager
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware of software change might be the cause. To fix the problem..not compatible with 64-bit mode.
I checked my CPU against those that are compatible, and my CPU is not even listed. It's an i7-3770 3.40GHz.
Again, I'm currently running 64-bit Win7 Pro - I just need assistance in installing the VM.

Thanks, Bob. That pretty much explains it then. I thought about Hyper-V, but that's a little more challenging in a work environment with all of the approval hoops to jump through.
I also considered VMware Workstation, but I recently heard (internal source) that anyone who hits the VM OS (again, Win 7 Pro 64-bit) has to have a license. Every user. This is apparently something relatively new by MS that came out recently. That's a fundamental
issue for me as I want to set up a VM that I might blow away and reimage at any given point - something that is abnormal for our environment.
Thoughts?
I'm not sure what you mean that everyone who hits the VM OS has to have a license. There are no licensing differences for Virtual PC or VMware Workstation with regards to what you need to run a VM.

Display color setting stuck at "Lowest (4 bit)"

I'm experiencing a problem that so far I haven't been able to resolve.
I am running Windows XP Home Edition, MSI Graphis Card G3TI200 Pro, Sound Blaster Audigy MP3+, 512 MB DDR RAM, 80 GB HD with plenty of room.
My system was running just fine but I was having trouble accessing a web page so I thought I might restart the computer to reload it's brains (so to speak). When the computer re-booted my color setting had changed to "Lowest (4 bit)" and when I try to reset it I don't have any other setting available.
I have downloaded the latest drivers, cold started the system, re-seated the graphic card, checked memory cards. It appears to me that everything is as it should be except the color setting. Wanted to check the voltages but the program that does that needs a minimum of 256 colors to run :(
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem is and how to fix it?

I am glad to hear you are all set now.
The reason I always use the nVidia Drivers for any GeForce card is: (This is the release order of Drivers.)
1) nVidia Makes the Drivers. (Same ones they post on their website)
2) Then the Card Makers get the same drivers and modify them so their logo show on the drivers along with some minor changes. In MSI's case they add their MSI Tabs.
So if you want the latest drivers with the most up to date fixes, you go:
nVidia for GeForce
ATI for Radeon
nVidia for nForce
VIA for 4in1
SiS For their Motheboard Drivers
Intel for their Motherboard Drivers
Creative for Live! And Audigy Drivers
Logitech for Mouse Drivers
etc.
It does not matter who sells the hardware, I use the Chipset Maker's Drivers whenever I can.

How can I set Firefix to always start in 32-bit mode?

Running FF 4.0.1 on OS X 10.6.7. Apparently defaults to start 64-bit mode. This doesn't work with an extension needed for Netflix streaming, requiring restart in 32-bit mode. How can I set FF to start in 32-bit mode in the first place? (And what would I miss out on if I did that?)

SEQUENCE SETTING: Audio Bit Rate

Is there any way to get 24-bit audio in a sequence or project setting? We see no option to create a 24-bit project or 24-bit sequence in Premiere Pro CC.
We recently made the jump over from FCP 7 to Premiere Pro CC and we are hoping this is an ‘audio works differently in Premiere’ issue.
We have been editing ProRes (422HQ) as that is how our broadcast clients require final delivery. We edit with ProRes (HQ) files with 24-bit audio. We have also have attempted to create a sequence based on the clip settings. We figured everything is working as expected...we also get our final mix from our audio designer 24-bit.
However, when we are ready to deliver our mixed master, we go to 'Export Media', and attempt to send out our sequence via 'Match Sequence Settings', as we want the specs we set up. BUT, Premiere reveals to us the audio is 16-bit (even though 24-bit audio is in the timeline). Yes, if it’s unchecked we can create a custom 24-bit preset. But that's like dubbing a dub, losing resolution (to put audio in video terms), and bumping it back up. As if Premiere is currently converting our 24-bit audio to 16-bit in our sequence, thus forcing us to convert a lower quality audio (16-bit) from the timeline, back to 24-bit for the exported master?
This seems like it would be detrimental to the quality of our audio delivery and our standards. How can we use the original 24-bit audio file from our designer? Why does the Match Sequence Setting say our audio is 16-bit when it is not?
Can we adjust the audio settings in Premiere Pro CC project or sequences to reflect a 24-bit audio.

So how do I ensure the 24-bit audio in my sequence is being used properly...the Match Sequence Setting (which I don't use) is saying my sequence is 16-bit, and that's deceiving if it's not...Why would Premiere 'think' that, especially when we have only 24-bit audio files in the timeline and project.
The MS Setting drop down menu is not giving me the trust of what is natively in my timeline, when it's displaying it's 16-bit. Therefore, it's not giving us the confidence Premiere is handling my audio correctly...How do I know Premiere is using my 24-bit audio during that manual export?...cause to me, Premiere's thinking it's 16-bit.
Is it downgrading the audio int the timeline? And am I bumping it back up when I do it manually? That's not good, and unacceptable for broadcast.

When firefox starts up, the windows xp c drive 'dirty' bit gets set forcing a 'chkdsk' on reboot. How fix?

when firefox 5.0.1 starts up, it sets the windows c drive dirty bit on and the next time the computer reboots it causes a 'chkdsk'-annoying. I've checked this and seen it happening using 'fsutil dirty query c:' and it's off before firefox starts and on afterwards. I can even turn it off diddling with the, for example, add-ons option and disabling/enabling an add-on like zoom-in for instance.
How fix?

Update your video drivers. Your system details shows you to be running drivers dated 11-11-2005 which are too old to run Firefox efficiently.
You can update to the current version which is 275.33 by dowloading from http://www.nvidia.com
Remove the existing drivers via Add/Remove Programs first.

Data Federator XI 3.0 using DB2 VARCHAR FOR BIT DATA Column?

We have a column in a DB2 database that is defined as VARCHAR(16) FOR
BIT DATA.
We are using the suggested IBM JDBC driver, db2jcc.jar, against a DB2
OS/390 8.1.5 version database.
The Datasource column displays a data type of NULL, indicating the DF
does not understand or cannot handle this IBM data type.
We have two issues.
First, target tables are not able to return any columns, regardless if
we exclude columns defined as NULL as mentioned above. We see the
'Wait' animation for a very long time when we use the 'Target table
test tool' option. Selecting to display the count only, returns zero.
We are able to fetch and view non-NULL column data when using the
'Query tool' under the Datasource pane.
I also get the same result when using the 'My Query Tool' in Server
Administrator; a selection agains the sources returns data while
selecting from a target table returns no data. Also, a 'select
count(*)' returns zero.
The second issue is in mapping a relationship between two DB2 tables
where the join is between two columns of the above mentioned type
(NULL).
The error we get back when we use "Show Errors" is "The types
'NULL' (in 'S1.PLANNEDGOALID') and 'NULL' (in 'S2.PLANNDEDGOALID') are
not compatible.". When reviewing the relationship, a dashed red line
appears instead of a solid grey line between the two tables in the
"Table relationships and pre-filers" section of our mapping pane.
The following query returns an error via the Server Administrator
Query Tool; "Types 'NULL' and 'NULL' are not compatible for operator
'=' (Error code : 10248)".

So, the following is the two questions we require answers for...
Is this a limitation of Data Federator?
Is there a work around short of changing the datatype in the database.

The VARCHAR() FOR BIT DATA is a binary data type and Data Federator does not support binaries. But if in your case, it makes sense to map this column to a VARCHAR data type you can configure the DB2 connector to view this column as a VARCHAR.
Your column can be mapped explicitly to a data type of your choice using a property: castColumnType.
This property can be set updating the resource you selected when you registered you DB2 data source.
If the resource is "jdbc.db2", then:
1. Launch Data Federator Administrator
2. Click on "Administration" tab
3. Click on "Connector Settings"
4. Select the right resource: "jdbc.db2"
5. Click "Add a property"
6. Select "castColumnType"
7. Set its value to: VARCHAR() FOR BIT DATA=VARCHAR
8. Click on Ok
You should see this column as a VARCHAR.

Issue with SSIS Custom Components - 64 bit SQL 2012

Hello All,
Our SSIS packages built on SQL 2008 R2 make use of some custom components. These custom components are installed as part of an MSI. The dll's are copied over to the Windows/assemble [GAC Folder] and also to the Program Files(x86)/SQL Server/110/DTS/* folder.
The installation does not copy the dll's to the 64 bit program files folder.
X:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS
These packages are executed via SQL Agent jobs on a 64 bit SQL server and there does not seem be any issue.
Now we are upgrading our servers to SQL 2012 and we have a new installer for the custom components as well. The new custom components use .NET Framework 4.0 and when installed the dll files get copied over to the Ms.NET 32 bit runtime GAC folder and also
to the SQL Server DTS Folder in x86. The upgraded packages work only when we set the runtime mode to 32 bit. The packages successfully executes within the 32 bit dtexec utility, but when we try to run the same package using a 64 bit dtexec utility the
process errors out with a component failed to load message. The package moves data between two SQL Server instances.
The custom components have always been built for 32 bit runtime. I can run a older package through the dtexec utility (from the 64 bit folder in program files) and it does work without any issues. After the upgrade the package will only execute on
a 32 bit utility. can someone help me understand this issue?

i think we got the answer as well, as the .NET framework 3.0 installer copied the files over to the C:\windows assembly the dtexec utility [32 bit/64 bit] was able to load the components.
Now with the new installer the files are copied to specific runtime gac folders as Arthur has mentioned. The 64 bit utility does not find the dlls in the GAC whereas the 32 bit version will find them.

At a point before is I had the same log as techhit1 in the second troubleshooting link, Which seems that the ARM updater needed to be updated from 1.7.0 to 1.7.4.. but didn't want to go any further without first getting the LUAPatching set to enabled..
I feel even if i manage to get it set to enable I'll still be having the same issues as techhit1, and will still be stuck on implementing this, and instead have to just add the updated msp files to my deployed GPO.
But how do I get this LUAPatching set to enabled???!!?

Any thoughts? I was able to write a batch script that silently install the 11.0.03 msp file so that user are updated with prompting a UAC, however i don't want to have to write a new script everytime adobe comes out with an update, I'm sure future updates will installs like the orignal guide states it should once I get the UACPacthing enabled.
Since the script installed the latest reader update it also updated ARM to 1.7.4 which should make future auto updates work fine unless theres another update for the updater... uhhh
