Set up quality certificate printing for deliveries

Hi,
to print a quality certificate for a delivery,
1. do you need a certificate profile? Or is that only for QC for a batch and for an inspection lot?
2. do you always use usage B?
3. do you always use application V2?
4. how do you set up condition tables, access sequences, condition types and output determination procedures?
I created an output type (copy of LQCA) in application V2, assigned a program (RQCAAP00), a form routine (entry) and a form (QM_QCERT_01). I also created and released a certificate profile.
But when I run QC20, I get the message
"No messages for initial processing exist".
What could be the error?
Thx.
Jessica

Yes, you always need a certificate profile.  Usually you always use V2 (shipping).  The form you used, QM_QCERT_01 is only an example form that SAP provides.  It should be copied and must be adapted for your businss and you'll need a person knowledgable about SAPscript to make changes to it.  I  believe there is another for a COC (Certificate of compliance) which might be more what your looking for if you don't need to report batch values or inspection lot vales.
Your probaly missing the certificate recipent record.  You'll find this under the QM area under Outgoing certificates.  You can try adding LQCA output type directly to the delivery in the item outputs.  (Any good SD person on site should be able to show you how to do this)
To understand condition tables and procedures I would again turn to an SD person or a pricing person.  They use the condition technique a lot and should be able to explain it easilly.  They should also be able to help with setting up the output procedures and related items as well.

Looks like I didn't do enough research as the HP site said it's available however upon further investigation only manual duplexing is available with drivers installed.

  • Setting up a different printer for a delivery output based on the sales grp

    Hi All,
Is there a way to send delivery output to a specific printer based on the sales group in the delivery document apart from the normal printer maintained in VV22 for that output type.
I have seen printer determination based on plant and storage location combination but not specific to any other fields.
Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    MS

    Dear mandapathi ,
In the output determination for delivery. check whether there is SALES GROUP in the condition table (field catelog).
Else you may add this field (have done in pricing and it requires adding the new field to some pricing tables.. similarly we might need to add this new field in the output tables also)
If adding this new field works well, then i hope we can set the printer for this combination in the condition record.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Setting up a wireless printer for iPad

I am trying to purchase a printer to print documents/email/ect. from my ipad using an app. I DO NOT own a computer at home, so I would need to set up the wireless printer on my network without needing a computer to do so. Is anyone aware of any printers that will allow this?
If not, are there any other ways to allow for printing form the iPad without using a computer as well (for example, a adapter or special cord)?
    Any info will be appreciated!

You can simply print from your ipad wirelessly without any kind of cables or Internet connections.
All you need is a simple router like “Tenda W150M Portable Wireless AP/Router (Microcenter: $34.99)” is a small device that can be powered right off of most printers USB ports. Then obviously connect any Wi-Fi ready printer and IPad to this “Tenda” router. No Internet service needed, you are using this for network connectivity purposes only. You now can be anywhere for ex: like in a car and be able to print from your IPad or iphone wirelessly, without any other needed connections.

  • Quality Certificate Printing Issue for assembly

    Dear Expert
I am not sure how to achieve this(point 2 below) or even if its possible to do in standard SAP or not. So requesting your help to provide some suggestions.
We are in Chemical manufacturing business and the third party manufacturer produce certain product for us and send those to our customer or we buy from them . They produce COA for each batch of same product and send to us / customer. One particular product can have more than 10 batches in a shift / day , but when we receive it in SAP against PO we create a unique batch for the inventory. Third party manufacturer not using SAP system now, but we are planning to bring them in our ongoing QM Implementation landscape. In SAP the third party manufacturer is set up as a "Plant" and we Procure all products from them and sell to customer. They use different stand alone system for Production & QM now. The batch number they produce currently different than the batch number we receive.
Third party manufacturer produce different products e.g. P1, F1
    1. When they produce P1 in say 10 different batches for P1 , they inspect all batch results and send 10 COA against the inspected result. This scenario we can easily map in SAP using 89 Inspection Type and Lots.
    2. When they produce F1 with batch XX, they do not want to record any result for batch XX, but they only want to reference pre- identified batch from P1 and print the test result into COA for  batch XX. For integrated SAP system (PP) we would have achieved that easily, but in this case Production is out of SAP. We have plan to  make batch XX available in SAP using some program or manually.
As I said those third party not in SAP now, so when we will implement only SAP QM for them , what can be the best approach to achieve this (point 2)?
Any input will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    SK

    Hi SK,
I assume that you do not have manufacturing set up for P1 and F1 products and hence procuring from outside manufacturer and selling it to your customer.
I have few queries here to understand it further correctly!
Why the third party manufacturer is created as plant code in your SAP system? Is that the legal entity which belongs to your company code? If not, then it should be a normal vendor.
Are you receiving the goods in your plant or your manufacture directly dispatches the same to your customer?
As per my understanding, it doesn't matter which ERP system your vendor is following. Hence possibly there could always be the difference between material and/or batch codes that your vendor follows and codes that you follow in your plant. Finally the COA should contain the same batch numbers' reference which your end customer is going to receive and not the internal numbering. I also understand that you have issues with F1 product only as for P1 the process you are following suits you.
Your vendor does not wish to inspect the consignment for F1 while they dispatch from their premises and want the reference of P1 results for F1 COA printing purpose. This could be feasible with inspection lot copy functionality but your vendor should be on SAP and COA should be printed by you vendor.
As COA is mandatory for P1 and F1, what I could suggest is, you can print COA at your plant until you supplier runs on SAP. You may have to carry out goods receipt at your plant for inspection lot generation.

  • I want to set media quality to print on a Canon Pixma IP 4000, where do I do that?

I have had that problem with other printers too. Am using Photoshop CS3. When using Windows on a PC I can set printing quality and chose media without a problem. On the Mac I only can set size. Is the pixma 4000 too old? What Canon printer would work, if that is the problem?

I'm having a similar problem, but I do have the key and is not working anyway.
My old pc was running on windows 7 and my new one is an apple running on Lion.
My phone is an Iphone IV and I can see all the bookmarks there.
In order to sync, what I did was click on the "I don't have the device with me", I entered the key that was provided and the process finish ok. It says congratulations, etc, etc.
But the bookmarks are not there, I tried merging data and replacing data on this computer options but is the same.
    Any suggestions?

  • How to set up bluetooth on printer for wireless printing

hp officejet 100 mobile printer,  can it be setup to print from ipad2

Apple mobile devices like the iphone and ipad do not support the required bluetooth printing protocol. There is at this point in time no way to print via bluetooth with those devices. From a mac laptop, or from other bluetooth mobile devices that do support bluetooth printing it would work fine.

  • How to set up postscript Printer for printing graphics

We have a requirement to print Structured graphics. I found out that we need to set up a postscript printer for it. After debugging I found out that the Device Type name should be either GRAPHICS or POSTGR or ZGRAP.
How can we set up such a printer?
    Thanks in adv.

    Hi,
The Device Type names that you have provided are not listed in the SAP Central Note for Printers/device Types
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/8928
However, you can again re-check this note with your printer model and check what suitable device types should be used. As you will find inthis note:
"Device type definitions are stored completely in tables and can be individually adapted, modified or enhanced. If SAP performs such an adjustment for a customer, it constitutes a consulting service, and is generally charged seperately"
SAP has now released the SAP Printer Vendor Program - https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1130927, printer manufacturers can develop and release device types for their printers.
https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1100779 contains a list of all participants
Information about the support for new printer models is contained in the "Printer Vendor Wizard Note" of the relevant manufacturer. A complete list of all "Printer Vendor Wizard Notes" is available in Note 1097990. If your printer model is not listed in one of these "Printer Vendor Wizard Notes", proceed as described in Note 1103826.

  • Quality Certificates for Finished Goods

    Dear Friends,
Please guide me to map in SAP for the below Scenarios of Quality Certificates.
There are two types of Certificates for Finished Products
    1.     Permanent Certificates
We have certifications from some Institutes for Finished products.
    e.g.  TUV: IEC 61215 Ed.2, IEC 61730 & UL1703
These Certificates are sent to customers only on Demand.
I want to create all these certificates in SAP and assign materials to them. Print should come manually.
    2.     IV Testing Report (Certificates for each Product).
Each Product is tested by a machine for its efficiency and power. A Current-Voltage relationship Graph is produced by the Machine. We call it IV TESTING REPORT. Each product has its IV Testing Report and it is sent with the product to customers.
Print of this certificate should come automatically with each Billing Invoice in SD.
    Regards
    Prashant Atri

These requirements can all be handled by the standard SAP COA process.  You simply have to create a couple of different SAP script forms.  One for the stand COA where you report out the values where you actually test the product via your machine, (requirement 2).
For the frost requirement, you need to reproduce and send copies of outside certifications.  I assume you actually have a paper copy of these and that these are for specific products.  For these, you create separate COA outputs, one for each cert type.  You create a SAPscript form for each.  These forms will be identical with but one exception.  In the form, instead setting it up for reporting characteristics and product info, you create it with one frame that is a bitmap.  (your programmers should be familiar with doing this for putting on company logos on various forms).  Instead of displaying a logo in those frame, you display the bitmap image of the cert you want to use. So the SAPcript is very easy, just a single bitmap along with anything else you decide you want to include on the form.
All your certs can then be sent automatically at time of delivery just like any regular COA.

  • Error while executing the transaction QC22 (Quality Certificate for Batch)

    Hello Friends,
While executing the transaction QC22(Quality Certificate for Batch), after giving the Batch Number and Customer Number, when i am executing it , system is throwing the error message as "Not all data was found for characteristic 90139982 in profile D80D8".
    Message no. ZQ010
    Diagnosis
Not all data was found for characteristic 90139982, referenced as number 0030 in certificate profile D80D8. The missing data could be the short text, specifications, or results.
    System Response
The missing charactertistic will not be printed on the certificate,
    Procedure
Review the settings for data orgin of the short text, specifications, and results, and adjust accordingly.
One more thing i would like to add here as against the same batch in april we had taken the print of COA (Quality Certificate) through the transaction QC22. But now we are trying to do that than system is thrown above mentioned error.
As i am new in QM, kindly explain we were to maintain the certificate profile.
    Waiting for the experts inputs.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jitendra Chauhan

    Hi
Try with QA33 you may have display authorization,  or check in MB51 on the base of material and batch you can find the lot number generated, then go to QA03 and check the result, if you want to validate the characters check with the inspection plan, the characters entered in the inspection plan and the characters in the concerned certificate profile.

  • Setting resolution, deciding file type, for very LARGE Canvas prints. 36MP camera.

Okay, so I noticed my lightroom was on 240 PPI resolution. I changed it to 300 because I read 300 was for standard prints. What would I need to set the export to in the resolution box for a very large Canvas?
Is it better to choose Tiff instead of Jpeg for prints of this quality, if not then what should I choose?
I am using a Sony A7R full frame 36.4MP and with some of the sharp Zeiss lens there is really no pixelation that noticeable when I zoom in 100 percent. Of course the A7R is being said to be one of the best Sensors on the market today. It's supposed to be like the Nikon D800E, but apparently it has some advantages.
In other words, I want to export in as high of quality as possible for the Canvas. File size is not an issue.

Changing the resolution setting does absolutely nothing to the digital image. This is a common misconception. The only thing that counts in the digital image is the pixel dimensions. Regardless of what the PPI setting is (240, 300, 600, whatever) the image still has the same number of pixels. To determine what you need for a print of any size it is necessary to multiply the inches by the desired pixels per inch. Suppose you want a 16 x 20" print at 300 pixels per inch. The math would be something like this:
    300x16 = 4800 pixels
    300x20 = 6000 pixels
So to print a 16 x 20" print you would need an image that is 4800 x 6000 pixels. And the PPI setting can be anything you want it to be because it has no effect on the image.
