SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY(FORMS_MDI_WINDOW, WINDOW_STATE, MAXIMIZE); and Forms9i

Hi All,
I have this problem, whenever I try to resize the MDI window to its maximum state for a form to run on the web, the forms doesn't seem to take any action , means the statement SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY(FORMS_MDI_WINDOW, WINDOW_STATE, MAXIMIZE); won't be executed by Oracle Forms 9i or 10g , does any one have a clue or faced this kind of problem before, please reply if you have anyway to sort this problem out.

no it's running on separate frame(window), but im running the application from the iAS, so is there any .cfg file for the forms server installed on the iAS that has to be configured , as when I run the application, it runs on separate frame (window) , so I assume it's set to SeperateFrame=True for the forms server as well.

Still i am strugglling, i am working on this small problem for hours and hours, i created many complex forms but still i am breaking my head with this problem.
set_window_property(forms_mdi_window,window_state,maximize);
working fine.
when you type the above syntax in maximize in syntax, it is not turning to blue. but if u specify the minimize it is turning into blue(some body told its reserve word)
in my if i say maximize my form is displaying , its cool,
if i specify minmize ...oooopppps my mdi window ifself not displyed in the browser, only i am able to see the default menu bar !
What happened, i am working on this problem for hours and hours
FORMS EXPERTS UR ATTENTION PLEASE.
Is there is any problem with my formweb.cfg file

how is it possible to lock it on maximize so the user wont be able to change it?

Maximize and minimize an application

Hello,
I`m trying to make an application and i need to be able to maximize and minimize other applications too.
For example minimize and maximize Firefox. Could you provide me with an example how can i control other applications and minimize/maximize them? I tryed google it for like 1 hour with now luck..
Really sorry if i didn't looked that good and someone found the answer on google.

Every once in a while, a black box will cover the windows minimize, maximize, and close buttons, and then I can't minimize firefox quickly or easily.

After a bunch of browsing, a black window takes over the windows caption bar and covers the minimize, maximize, and close buttons. When this happens, I can't close firefox except by accessing the firefox menu. And there is no way to minimize or maximize the window.

My Minimize, Maximize, and Close Buttons are not functional in Firefox 13.0.1

I recently downloaded Firefox 13.0.1.. For the past several days the minimize, maximize, and exit buttons located in the top right hand corner have been non functional almost immediately upon starting a browser session. I have tried disabling plugins with no success. I have experienced the same problem when running safe mode. I have attempted to disable hardware accelerators. I have even tried resetting to default settings.. For the record
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) with 2 GB of RAM as well as Norton Antivirus.. Any advice would be appreciated.

Minimize, Maximize, and Exit Buttons are Missing

I can not view the minimize, maximize, and exit buttons unless I enter full-screen viewing. I have all add-ons turned off.

You may not see those buttons clearly if they get hidden by the transparency on Windows 7.
Right click in a free space on your desktop. 
Left click on Personalization. 
There are four options in Windows 7 at the bottom of the screen, choose "Window Color and Appearance". 
Select a border color 
Uncheck: "Enable transparency"

Are there hotkeys to maximize and shrink (not minimize) window/tab

Don't know whether this is a Safari question or a Mac OS question, but when I fire up Safari, the program opens up with roughly a 1/2 screen window. I've been mousing up to the upper r-h corner to maximize and shrink the window. Can't seem to find a hotkey combination that does the same thing. Is there one?
According to iTunes update, I'm using OS X 10.8.4 Don't know if that is 'Mountion Lion' or not. ??

Running FF3.6.8 on Windows 7, 3 window buttons not in top right hand corner ( minimize, maximize and exit) . how do i get these to appear ?

when FF 3.6.8 loads it loads everything except the the classic window buttons (minimize, maximize and exit ) do not appear in the top right hand corner as the normally would. it seems as though the page has been cut off or the monitor screen is to little for the whole page to load.

It is possible that the screen is too wide or too high.
Open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize that window.
If that works then close Firefox to save that setting.

Firefox Maximizes by Itself After Being Minimized, even if I am working on something else, it will maximize and come to the forefront of my screen...can this be stopped?

While I have the FF browser minimized and I am working on another application or in another browser, the FF browser will maximize and jump up on my screen automatically. This happens often while it is minimized. There are no pages that would seem to auto-refresh (don't think that's relevant though). The whole thing will randomly maximize for no reason. Can this be stopped?
It's annoying, especially if I am working and training people and the FF browser jumps up out of nowhere after being dormant. This has been happening for several week, it's now become bothersome.

Ya, it takes forever for it to happen. It seemed to be doing it with almost all of my add-ons... It's probably some combination of add-ons.

* BetterPrivacy
* ChromeEdit Plus
* FindBar Tweak
* NoScript
* Tab Mix Plus
It happened like 3 times within a few hours. It's like someone or something is controlling my mac. It's disconcerting. I disabled remove cookies by timer in betterprivacy. Now let's see. Also, I upgraded to fx 7. so it was happening since 4 and even with 7.

Comparison between Forms6i and Forms9i

We have some client/server-based applications built in Forms6i and are considering to convert/rebuild them into Forms9i or JDeveloper as web-based applications. Has anyone done any comparison between Forms6i and Forms9i/JDeveloper? Or, can you point me to such documentation if existed?

Comparison to JDeveloper? How about the fact that you develop with Java language in JDeveloper and with PL/SQL in Forms.
I would suggest that first you try to run your application on the Web using forms 6i. This should be a very simple test to do. See how you like it and only then ask yourself if you really need to go to JDeveloper.

Full screen isn't full screen,unless I use "maximize" and later goes back

I used to be able to press full screen and it would be fine and when I closed ff, upon restarting it would restart in full screen. Something has gliched. When I press full screen in regular size, the full screen isn't full, only about 90-95% of screen. I can make it go full screen if I click
"maximize " and then full screen , but if at any time the screen isn't maximized, the same thing happens. If I close maximized and full screen
it opens with the reduced full screen. I can't move or stretch it out in anything except normal screen, and again, not I click full screen from there. I never had this problem.

You provided no information about installed extensions. Do you have any extensions installed?
Does Firefox do that while running in the Firefox SafeMode?

Keyboad short cut to maximize and minimize windows

Hi All
We are running forms 10g R2 as a separate frame. How do we set up shortcut keys to maximize and minimize windows. To simulate the effect of pressing the square icon on the top right corner. This is key to our user's productivity. Any immediate help is greatly appreciated.

When I want to get at the desktop with lots of windows open I use expose. The F11 key, or the 4 finger swipe upward will do it (assuming this is enabled via System Preferences).

Dialogs don't have those buttons, so the question
n should be to the OP how did he/she get them in the
first place? Cuz they aren't using JDialog to do it,
unless it's something to do with a specific look &
