need to know what sort of tech challanges lay ahead to push data out security, set up syncing, itunes accounts for school, sync staion for setting up 30 at a time, other sofware we might need

While I'm not in the education field, reading some responses here paint an ugly picture. You can deploy an "image" of one iPad to other devices using Apple Configurator to simply the process. Essentially it allows you to restore a backup to mulitple devices. The actually using of the iPad is the difficult part. There are issues with the proxy configurations if your school uses one as well as then authenticating to the network. Are these going to be individual teacher/student devices? If so each would need a separate iTunes account for apps, etc. Along the same lines of apps, if you are purchasing paid apps you can use Apples volume purchasing program to buy them and redeem voucher codes for particular devices. There can be a lot of "gotcha's" just depends on your circumstance.

OK need some advise on seting up new ipad's for my son's school. Issue is how or what itunes do u use to activate the ipad's. I belive you need a credit card to open an itunes acc. school's dont hve that.

You sign out of your ID in Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID, then sign onto the school ID in order to use it. You know your situation better than I do, but when you switch ID's on the iPad and go back and forth in order to download purchases, you run the risk of locking yourself out of one of the ID's for 90 days.

It depends on what you want to do.
You could, for example, have one AppleID for iCloud backup [and therefore message syncing, notes syncing, etc] and a second one for iTunes [music, iBooks, etc].
But if you are looking for a way to flip everything between different appleIDs, then no.

I teach at a school where even period and odd period classes are taught on alternate days and I teach only odd schedule classes. So, one week the class is taught on Mon, Wed, Fri and the next week it is Tu and Th except for weeks that have holidays. What is the best way to use repeating events and make up the schedule for this semester (ending 1/28/08 so I also know at a glance what days I'm available to substitute for other instructors?

Can I undo 3.6 and go back to 3.5? School website doesn't support 3.6

I am a grad student at Capella University. I'm running Windows 7, and the Mozilla Firefox browser has worked previously when I was running 3.5. Recently I updated to 3.6 and now the website for school isn't functioning properly. I checked the school system and 3.6 is not compatible with the school website so I need to have 3.5 back and I don't know how to get there. Is it possible for me to uninstall then go to the website and download 3.5 version instead of 3.6? Help I'm in a hurry, this class for school ends 3.18.2011 and I still have a week of work to do for school.

I suggest you first of all read [[Installing a previous version of Firefox]]. Also do not use the delete firefox settings, option, as that will remove all your bookmarks etc.
It may also be worth asking your School IT department about support for firefox 3.6, and the soon to be released firefox4, there is a posibility they only need to make slight changes to allow the new versions to work.

Can not install Adobe CC with a school license

As the title says it, I can't install Adobe CC with a school license.
I still get updates and can install them but when I try to open Photoshop, Illustrator, ... I always receive the message about the license.
I received a PDF from school how I can install it because I already had a license from 2013.
I followed the instructions given in the PDF, Filled in all the codes, payed the Creative Cloud, but still I receive this message.
Can somebody help me, or does somebody knows what I did wrong?

Check the projector and see what kind of input is has, most have a VGA connector, so you would need a male to male VGA. You will also need the Mac mini dvi to male VGA (of course).
Some of the older projetors have a component in only, which is the red,yellow,green, RCA connectors, which are avaialable. (Usually the are fairy short, 5 ft or so, so you would need to get a VGA with yhe mini DVI to VGA, and a component (the one with the 3 RCA's) you will probaly have to get a Female to Female VGA adapter to connect te VGA to the component.
And finaally if that weren't enough, the really old projectors have only a composite input. All I can say about that is "the hunt is on"

How do I use multiple VPP accounts in a school system with 1 Profile manager server?

I have 40 schools with their own money they want to spend on apps. I need these accounts to be seperate. We are registered in the Device enrollment program and are using Apple's profile manager to distribute VPP apps. In the DEP website you can add existing vpp admins. I had hoped when these accounts purchased apps, the apps would show up in Profile Manager which uses the master Apple ID, but this didn't happen. Anyone know what the correct process is for doing this?

If you haven't found the answer: You have to install the correct token for each account. Apple Servers, as far as I know, do not support using multiple tokens at once. As a result, you will have to swap out each of the 40 tokens anytime anyone wants to buy something then assign it to a user then push the app.
Or just buy it with a redemption code and give that code to your users.

Setting up Apple TV in school?

I am looking at setting up Apple TV 2 in my school for the 115 staff who are about to receive iPads.
Firstly, Is the method in transmitting the data from the iPad to the Apple TV device secure, eg, no students with iPhones can jump onto the device.
Secondly, can I configure ONLY the classroom iPad to see ONLY the room's ATV2?

Apologies all for the lack of commubnication on my part, I have been wrapped up in different projects since, but am now back on this front.
We have 90 classrooms here.
So my main issue is that, by design, every iPad will be able to see every AppleTV. Without being mean , the bulk of our staff are not the most technologically capable and seeing this will most likely freak then out!
Do any of you run Apple TVs in a school environment, and especially one where teachers change rooms frequently?
