Setrepo to a resource that is assigned from a cluster
A clew would be nice. The command
./lh setrepo -v -tDatastore -icom.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialInitContextFactory -fjdbc/_IdMPool -uiiop://localhost:33700
fails owing to being unable to find jdbc/_IdMPool
This is configured on the cluster, not on the DAS.

The jdbc/_IdMPool is alive and running. Successfully pings the DB and is waiting on port 33700.
Corba has been told about 33700, and that does not appear to be a problem.
Something more is needed though, and there is no advice whatsoever anywhere, to allow the cluster or node-agent to be identified as the container.
Further progress to this has been that (of course) the only valid place to run the setrepo command is from the already installed idm. In other words, once the idm has been configured using lh setup to point at the DB, the idm war file has to be deployed to the cluster.
Once deployed to the cluster the location of the lh in the node is found in a place like this:
/var/opt/SUNWappserver/nodeagents/<your nodename>/<instance name>/applications/j2ee-modules/idm/bin
You can't run it from the same location that "setup" was run.
You also have to touch two files
/opt/SUNWappserver/appserver/config/ejb.properties
/opt/SUNWappserver/appserver/config/security.properties
This gets you to where I am now. It complains about a missing class.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/corba/se/internal/util/JDKBridge
This is the same class as is found in a SLIGHTLY different path in rt.jar and appserv-rt.jar
... according to jarhoo, the same class. Found in appserver 8 update 1

I have tried to just install the new version of itunes from the apple website, it looks like it downloads but after 5 minutes at the end of the install it says 'old version of itunes cannot be uninstalled, please contact support.'?
Is there anyway I can remove the version of itunes from my computer? i dont mind if i lose the music/content I already have on my itunes. I need to do this as i have just received the iphone 4 and need to install the newest version of itunes.

Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.) -

I need some serious help!
I have been trying to update my itunes to version 10.7 and my Quicktime to version 7.7.3!
Having no luck!
So I tried selecting repair software on all of the Apple applications and they seem to have worked.
Then I selected look for upgrades on my itunes (Help) main screen
It said their were two updates - Itunes 10.7 and Quicktime 7.7.3
I selected the option to update and the .exe files were loaded to my Windows 7 p.c.
However after part of the Itune update completed a message came up on the screen
saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a net work resource that is unavailable.
O.k.
I then went to the itunes website and tried again. This time it checked my system the process seemed to be working and all of a sudden I got a message saying my old itunes programs could not be removed and or deleted. So I tried to delete my old version myself without success it won't let me.
I've run out of options and am not completely fustrated.
I have itunes on my desktop, my iphone4, my ipod and in my car.
Anyone have any clue how I can resolve this problem?

Which particular .msi file does the message go on to say cannot be found? (Several different .msi files might be mentioned in this context: itunes.msi, bonjour.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, etc.) -
When I try to open iTunes a widow appears called Windows Installer. It tells me that the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavalable. It tell me to Click OK or try again or enter an alternative path to a folder containing the intallation package iTunes.msi. I suggests I should find this in a drop down box in the window. There is a box but no folder iTunes.msi. If I click the cancel button iTunes will open and work. I wish to uninstall iTunes and then reinstall it. I am finding that I can play music on iTunes OK through my sound card but if I try to play streamed music from the web in YouTube and fom My Space the music is a poor quality with crackles and distortion. Other forums suggest uninstalling iTunes and then re-installing it. I ahve tried to uninstall iTunes but it comes up with the Window noted above and then stops. I need to stop the crackle when streaming music. Please help.

I can't install or uninstall iTunes on my laptop. I've followed all the steps on Apple Support as well as Microsoft support. I get the error "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Pick an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi". This has been going on for a couple of weeks now and I'm very frustrated. From what I can see, I'm not the only one with this problem, but I have yet to see anyone post a solution that works. Microsoft wants to charge me $99 to troubleshoot it for me and Apple will charge $20. I think both are ridiculous as this is obviously not "operator error".

A msi file is short for microsoft installer. It normally is for installation, removal, and maintenance for a program. So iTunes.msi would be used for the updating of the program. For some reason it isnt finding this so we can't update, install, or remove it.
From what I have seen windows installer cleanup utility solved related problems before.
I found this forum about removing and installing a new iTunes. It was about someone who was trying to isntall iTunes, and was looking for msi file and asked for help. Using this should allow you to be able to install iTunes. It won't give you the msi file but will allow you to isntall iTunes over again.
This was what was said.
