Is this something you need to do on a daily or regular basis?
If so, then your options are using the script or switching to another email client that provides for this.
Leopard Mail may include such a feature and if so, Apple has kept it hidden so far.

Um, there is no such thing as NAS4.1.
I'm assuming that you mean NAS4.0 (maybe NAS4.0sp1?). If so, then the session timeouts are specified in the session section of the NTV configuration files.
AFAIK, you can specify session timeouts on a per user basis.

Thanks for that suggestion - could not get it to work. However, I did manage a different approach. I finally determined the sequence of events in terms of how the various events and listeners fire (I think).
Basically, the CalendarActivityListener fires, followed by the listener associated with the Calendar object's Create facet, followed finally by the CalendarEventListener - the final is where the TriggerEvent is available and then finally, control is passed to the popup/dialog in the Create facet. So, my approach of trying to set/get the TriggerDate in the user's HTTP session was doomed to failure because it was being get before it had been set :(
Anyway, I ended up adding a bit of code to the CalendarEvent listener - it grabs the current BindingContext, navigates through the DCBindingContainer to derive an Iterator for the ViewObject which drives the calendar and then grabs the currently active row. I then do a few tests to make sure we're working with a "new" row because I don't want to alter start & end dates associated with an existing calendar entry and then I define the Start and End dates to be the Trigger Date.
Works just fine. Snippet from the listener follows

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Send button for email

Why on earth isn't there a way to include a send button in the main window of Mail so I can send my written email all at once by clicking Send. It's only available in the individual email window. That means that when I get online to send email I have to open all of the email again in order to send one at a time. This seems a ridiculous feature to have been omitted.

If the mail goes to your Outbox after composing, it should all be sent automatically when you go online.
I just tried this... turned of the Airport so that the internet connection was lost. Then composed two messages hitting send to send them to the Outbox. Then turned the Airport back on, and after about 10 s both messages were sent without me having to do anything.

(1) Exchange ActiveSync.
Windows > Programs > ActiveSync > Menu > Schedule > peak times (link)
(2) POP account.

I have about 6 different email accounts on my iPhone. From exchange server (work email) to my personal yahoo and google accounts plus my personal business account. Is there a possibility to set up different ringtones for each of the emails separately?
I monitor my email very closely as I work for a 24-7 emergency call center and I would like to have a way to differentiate my emails by the rintone assigned to them. My work email goes off all the time, but i can't tell which is which and I hate picking up my phone or stopping what i'm doing for just a junk email.
Also would there also be an option for high priority emails to have a different ringtone as well?

You'll essentially get a "Send Receipt" immediately after sending as the message will appear in your Sent mailbox.
If you are looking for a "read reciept," It is pretty much not supported by Mail. You can set up a header for all outgoing email which will attempt to intrude on your recipients' privacy, but it will be for all emails.
Also, many email clients will not respond to a read receipt, including Mail. Even if they will respond to a read receipt, the default setting is uaually to ask the user prior to sending. So, there is no guarantee you will ever get a read receipt.

If it is really that important to you, add a sentence to your signature explaining the great necessity that you need to invade your recipient's privacy and that they need to respond immediately to let you know they've read your email.

Well I do appreciate the 'genius' comment, not sure if its warranted. It was really just a guess, and I didn't actually try it until after I posted my reply, lol.
But anyway, you can assign that signature to any one account or all accounts. You can actually set up differerent signatures to each account, one for yahoo and one for icloud in your case,
When you go to composet a new email, tap on the 'from' field and you will see the different account options appeare and then can choose which one you want to send from and thereby the signature (template).
You can also choose a 'default' account that will automatically send from that account everytime unless you chose otherwise.

After uninstalling nightly, I can no longer set firefox as default browser for email links and they no longer open.

Permanently Block Sender Feature for Email?

Does the Apple mail service offer some sort of permanment block sender list so I can add certain email addresses so I will never again get email from them? Yahoo offers a block sender list. Does Apple have this? I couldn't find it on iCloud or in my Mail application on my laptop. I am wondering if it's hidden. And no, creating a filter is not what I want. I know how to do this. I want to permanently block a certain sender's email and ideally all email from their organization.

I'm afraid this facility is not available. The nearest you can get is to set up a Rule on the iCloud website sending messages from this address to the Trash so you won't be bothered by them, and from where they will be automatically deleted after a period.

Future encoding time for HD DVDs!

Wow! For those of us who think our encoding takes a long time now, I read in a recent HD trade magazine that stated a 2-hour theatrical movie is taking 100 hours to encode for an HD movie. It didn't say what programs or systems were being used. If this is true, I think I can wait a little longer before I need to make an HD DVD.

using the preset in HD DVD H.264 preset in compressor can take that long.
we would need more information on how exactly you are compressing your video, also what your native codec is.
we need more information such as:
-are you using presets
-if you are NOT using presets (you set your own settings) what are they
-what type of file are you importing into compressor and with what codec
-what kind of and how many drives do you have in your G5
-are your drives stripped (using RAID)
-how much RAM
-what other applications do you have open when encoding
(see what i mean, all this info would be VERY useful)
one of your questions was if encoding with the H.264 codec was really this time consuming. the answer would be yes, although it sounds like you might have set some other settings manually. but i will not assume, i will await a response.
also, your last comment is a little confusing since once again, more information was not included.
do you mean that both H.264 and high bit-rate mpeg2 codecs work in a G5, so it will play back on the newer versions of Apple DVD Player?
or do you mean that the h.264 codec will play on toshiba's HD-A1 and HD-XA1 hardware players, such as the high bit-rate mpeg2 codec?
if the former, then you are 100% correct!
if the latter, then you would be 100% incorrect (unless toshiba finally delivered their much promised firmware update, which would include *.ac3 [dolby] playback as well).
