Setting AAM and IIS binding opens IIS default page

Hi,
I'm trying to create an AAM for my existing web application
http://ABC.domain.net. I add the URL in the Intranet zone
http://XYZ.domain.net then added IIS binding on each of the WFE servers. I also have the entry in the DNS for this new URL.
When I try to get to the new site http://XYZ.domain.net it leads to IIS default page as shown below:
What else I need to setup to get to the actual site? I thought these are the only steps needed. Thanks in advance.

Did you create a DNS entry and does it point to the correct IP? What happens if you stop the Default Web Site?

No, not in iPhoto, but instead in Finder (only). I've tried going into the camera menu and making sure it's set on Mass Storage, but no difference. Then I tried Auto - but also no difference.

When I load Firefox, the default search engine goes to AVG Search. I'd like to change it so that the default search engine on the search bar is Google. In addition, when I one a new page, the new page home page defaults to AVG Search. I'd like opening a new page to default to Google. My initial home page goes to the Wall Street Journal, which I want to keep, but want to change for the search bar and when a new page is opened to Google.

Spry Navigation Column open by default page by page

So I am trying to get my spry vertical navigation complete
and my boss decides he would like to see the active panel open
depending on what section of the website you are on. So far if I
were to click on my .accordianPanelContent div the panel would
expand the navigation to show you what is inside the
.accordianPanelTab div. With the panel expanded I can click on any
of the text withing the .accordianPanelTab and it will link me to
its page. Pretty simple, right? Now this is what is complicating
and I'm not sure if it is possible. If I were to click on a link in
.accordianPanelContent or .accordianPanelTab I will be directed to
that page. Can you have that panel stay open on the page you
navigated to? This way I can set a default panel to be
automatically opened depending on what page you are on. Has anyone
attempted to do this?

I have not tried to do what you are asking for, so do not
know the answer.
If it can not be done, see if your boss would like this sort
of idea
instead: not to have the current submenu open, but to have it
highlighted so folks know that is is the active menu item.

I followed about:config to set the new tab to open my home page, but it is not working

i am using windows 8 and firefox version 20.0.1...
i tried to set the new tab page to open to my home page ... i followed the about:config, browser.newtab.url and set it to my home page ... but it is not working at all ... it still not open to my home page ... i saw it was changed to my homepage in the setting but it is just not working at all...
i quit firefox and open firefox again and the setting in browser.newtab.url back to the default ... the firefox did not save the setting in browser.newtab.url to my home page...
it works in mac but not windows...
IT IS NOT WORKING IN WINDOWS 8 ... WHY ... any help?...

What page is opening? The default 9-thumbnail page? Some other page?
Extensions can override your selections for new tab, home page, and search provider. Try reviewing and disabling nonessential, recently installed, or unrecognized extensions here:

How can I click on a bookmark and have it open a new page? When I click a bookmark it always opens right in the sidebar, all my bookmarks disappear and I am left with two seperate pages?

I keep my bookmarks open at all times in the sidebar. If I want to go to a site, say Google, I must do a right click on the bookmark and then click on "Open In A New Tab" then the google page opens in a new tab.
I want to skip the second click. I want to be able to simply left click the google booknark in the sidebar and have google open in a new tab.
the way things are now, when I simply do a left click on the google bookmark the new google tab opens in tne sidebar itself. My bookmarks disappear from the sidebar and the google page is opened in the sidebar. So at this point I have two active page open at the same time.
Is there a way to simply left click the bookmark in the sidebar and have the bookmark open as a regular page?

Opening in the Sidebar is the default action for bookmarks that are created via a "Bookmark this Page" link or button on a website. Make sure you use the many "Bookmark this Page" methods that are in Firefox instead.
Right-click that bookmark and select '''Properties''', then un-check the preference for '''Load this bookmark in the sidebar''', and then click Save.

Another way of opening the home page in a new tab is to middle click on the home button in the navigation toolbar.

Sharepoint 2013 AAMs and IIS 7 bindings

Hi everybody,
I have a server running Sharepoint Foundation 2013 and IIS7.
On the IIS7 there was already a website running on port 80. Now I have configured a sharepoint site running at port 31600. From internal network everything is working fine. But from the internet only the website on port 80 is working, I cannot reach the
SP site. I assume I made some mistake between IIS bindings and Sharepoint AAMs, but I don't know whats wrong.
This is the current configuration:
Website Bindings in IIS
http:*:80:webapp.company.com,http:10.10.40.4:80:
Sharepoint site bindings in IIS
http:10.10.40.4:31600:,http:*:31600:webapp.company.com
(10.10.40.4 is the internal IP address)
AAM settings in Sharepoint
InternalURL:Zone:PublicURL
http://servername:31600:default:http://servername:31600
http://webapp.company.com:31600:Internet:http://webapp.company.com:31600
As I said: internal access is fine to both sites, from external the SP site is is not reachable. Any help is appreaciated.

Do you have TCP/31600 open on your firewall/router and mapped correctly to your SharePoint server? Is the 'webapp' A record registered in the DNS zone 'company.com' externally?

You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. Is it possible to set Touch and Gesture selected options by default on the simulator?

Hi,
I am developing a mobile app using touch events and is a pain to have to select Touch and gesture and clik Touch layer and select the proper option every time I test the movie. One or three time is fine but along any usual development day I have to do it like 200 times and is really time consuming.
If there is not way to do it, is there any workaround as using an external tool or plugin?If not, can I suggest to implement this a future feature?

Write messages in plain text or rich text
You can compose messages using plain text or rich text (HTML) formatting.
Plain text can be read by all recipients, regardless of the mail viewer used. You can attach pictures to plain text messages.
Rich text can’t be read by a small number of recipients because rich text uses different fonts, text styles, and formatting to stylize messages. If a recipient’s computer doesn’t have the same font that you use in your messages, another font is substituted. Try using a popular font, such as Times New Roman or Geneva. You can put pictures within rich text messages.
Set the default format for all messages
Choose Mail > Preferences, and then click Composing.
Choose the format you expect to use most often from the Message Format pop-up menu.
To always respond to messages in the same format as the originals, also select the “Use the same message format as the original message” checkbox in the Responding section.
Change the format for a single message
Choose Format > Make Rich Text or Format > Make Plain Text before you send the message.
Unless a message actually contains rich text (such as formatting and different text styles), it will not be sent as rich text, even if rich text format is selected.
