Setting alarm tone?

Hi Dear Friends,
I have a question about setting wake up alarm. How can I set it and change alarm tune? do I have to set it every day?

Go toDate and time in phone settings, and set your alarmtone, and workdays.

  • Nokia E51 - Can't set clock alarm tone

    Hey there people!
My device is Nokia E51, and for some, bizarre reason, I can't set the clock alarm tone.
When I choose the sub-menu "Clock alarm tone" a list of songs/audio files on the phone is supposed to load.... but nothing there. The phone doesn't even give me any options to choose from. I actually find this quite frustrating and annoying because I'm trying to do something very basic here.
    I've attached a capture.
    Thanks for helpers.

Well the reason I asked about the large number of audio files is because it appears to be a common bug across many of nokias phones.   When you have a large number of audio files (either on the card or on the phone itself) the phone apparently gets 'confused' and is unable to load up the selection of ringtones or music files to use as a ringtone.
The only solutions would be to either:
    1)  Delete songs until the ringtone menu goes back to normal
    2)  Do what you have done with copying it to the phone then removing the memory card to be able to select the file.. then reinsert the memory card
Nokia just needs to get their act together. They should seperate ringtones from the music files.  This way when you go to select a ringtone.. it will ask to either choose a ringtone from a list.. or to select one of your mp3s from a list. This way keeping it seperate.  But that would be extra menus to navigate and people probably wouldnt like it.
But if they did it that way then they could use the mp3 listings by album, artist, song title, etc to allow people to choose the music files they want as a ringtone.  It would be easier to do that then continually scroll through huge lists

    Hi,
is there a way to set different clock alarm tone? (I didn't manage to find it in the user guide)
    Thank you

    farby is righ....
When you are setting the alarm time, if you scroll down there is an option to set the Alarm tone - Standard, Radio, Open Files, Tone downloads.
Use Open Files > Alert Tones and there are some different tones you can use there.
Edited to add: And while mucking about with it myself, up popped the message that you can switch your phone off at night and the alarm will still go off to wake you up. That's a nice feature.... though considering all the questions about battery life, how will that work!? Just checked the 206 does this too, is this a general feature of Nokia phones?

My iphone 5 has no sound out the speakers, all it will do is play out alarm tone, all sound were Working this morning, I have re set my phone many times, please help

    Hey Amiee_19,
Thanks for the question. It sounds like your Ring/Silent switch may be toggled:
    Ring/Silent switch - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph3bd01398
    Ring/Silent switch
Flip the Ring/Silent switch to put iPhone in ring mode or silent mode .
In ring mode, iPhone plays all sounds. In silent mode, iPhone doesn’t ring or play alerts and other sound effects.
Important: Clock alarms, audio apps such as Music, and many games play sounds through the built-in speaker, even when iPhone is in silent mode. In some areas, the sound effects for Camera and Voice Memos are played, even if the Ring/Silent switch is set to silent.
For information about changing sound and vibration settings, see Sounds and silence.
Use Do Not Disturb. You can also silence calls, alerts, and notifications using Do Not Disturb. Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen to open Control Center, then tap the Do Not Disturb button . See Do Not Disturb.
If the above does not resolve your issue, see this article:

  • Using song as alarm tone

I have a Nokia 6710 Navigator. I have downloaded an mp3 onto my phone, which I want to use as my alarm tone. I have selected the song as my alarm tone, and at the set time the song begins playing.
My issue is that, when playing as an alarm, only 1 minute of the mp3 plays.
Is it possible to change the settings so that the whole mp3 file plays (approx 3 minutes) when I'm using it as an alarm?
    Thank you for your help

So could anybody tell me then what length limitations the phones have?
1 minute for the alarm, for the regular ringtone "unlimited" (e.g. a song with 5:00 length)?
Is there any website with specifications/requirements for customisations/custom files (wallpaper/tehem/tone/etc.)?
    regards
    Pete

  • Can i set a song as an alarm, instead of the set alarms

can I use a song in my i tunes as an alarm, for myself instead of the set alarms?

There are dozens of alarm clock apps that will let you use a song (or playlist) as your alarm tone. One of my favorites is "Alarmed".

  • Video as alarm tone

Can I use a video clip as alarm tone in iPhone 5 ?

    Yes, check the App Store.
Or DIY here using iTunes which is not hard to do:
    1. Select a title (.mp3 or .m4a) in your iTunes Library
    2. Do File > Get Info on selected title (Windows do Edit > Get Info)
    3. In the dialog choose Options tab
    4. Set Start Time and End Time (no more than 35 secs otherwise won't work)
    5. Close dialog.
    6. Now control click the title (right click) and choose Create AAC Version
    7. When it is done, drag the newly create title to the desktop.
    8. Delete the newly create title in iTunes.
    9. Rename the title on your desktop from ringtone.m4a to ringtone.m4r
    10. Drag and drop it into iTunes
    Now you have a ringtone.
Make sure it is selected in iTunes for syncing with your new iPhone.

  • Am I able to set alarm only active for specific co...

    Hi,
In previous Nokia phones it was possible to set a profile for phone sounds so that only specific contacts will alarm when they are calling, otherwise the phone is silent. Is this still posibble somehow in Lumia 800 as well?

You can set individual ring tones so you could set the default tone to silent and manually set ring tones for the others. I've more or less given up on this phone and can't recall how I did it. I think I used a market place app. It will involve putting ringtones in the cloud and then downloading them. Search the forum and market place. This has been discussed before.
This will only work for ringtones. You cannot set individual text tones- it will either notify for all or none.

  • Calendar alarm tone 6230i

Hi, I'm sorry if this subject has been covered elsewhere; I did check and couldn't find a direct reference.
Question is: On a 6230i (an excellent 'phone) how do you change the calendar alarm tone. The default setting is very melodic but is 1. not loud enough and 2. not "aggressive" enough to always get my attention when in an environment that is a it noisy (driving for example). Any help would be much appreciated.

Well? How is it done, anyone?

  • E63 Alarm tone without Call tone

I don't know if this is elswhere in the forum, but I couldn't find anything and had to work it out for myself.
If you set the Profile to the default Silent, the phone doesn't ring of course, but unlike my previous phone neither does the Alarm. There is no setting in Personalise to set the Alarm Tone, and Nokia's Help files are pretty useless.
So if you want to be woken by the Alarm but not by any calls do the following:
    - record a few seconds of silence on the mike and save it (eg to "Silence")
    - use Tools>Profiles>Silent>Personalise>Ringing_tone and set it to your new recording (eg "Silence")
    - set  Tools>Profiles>Silent>Personalise>Ringing_type to Ascending (or probably anything except Silent)
    - set  Tools>Profiles>Silent>Personalise>Ringing_volume to anything above zero ( which is one "blob")
(- leave all the other settings as defaults)
Phone calls will ring with "Silence" - so you don't hear them, but the Alarm will use it's normal tone.
Hope this is useful to someone.

  • Can't change clock alarm tone (N97)

I'm having an issue on my phone (N97) where i try to set my alarm tone to anything other than 'default tone' to wake up to in the morning, when i click on it, the loading bar comes up with "opening" for about 15 seconds,  then i get an error "Clock: Memory full close some applications and try again"
I only did a hard reset on this phone last week, along with a complete format of the mass memory, then reinstall of apps, yes another handful of hours goven away to nokia. It is running v20
BestTaskman is telling me i have no applications open and 40.48Mb of RAM free. how can changing the clock tone use up 40Mb of RAM???
I can change my ringtones in profiles just fine...
Most probably has somethign to do with the 17.5GB or so of music that I have on the mass memory, but really, that shouldn't make a difference, did they give us a 32GB phone and expect us not to use it?
has anyone seen this or know how to fix it?

  • Alarm tones on Motorola Droid Razr

I have the new update and love it. I have not had any problems with it. I just need help setting my alarm tones, after the update it changed the tones I could choose. I like the one I had, but I dont know how to change it. Very alarming was the alarm tone name.   I go to alarm and timers, choose alarms, open my alarm, choose sound, it brings up a limited list. I want to know how to access the full list. If anyone could help me with this matter I would be very happy. • Can I chose my alarm tone with Siri?

While I love setting an alarm using Siri, I don't love the default alarm tone. I've noticed that you set the tone of choice when you manually set the alarm. Is there any way to create a new default tone so that alarms set with Siri use that one?

I just went into the clock app, selected alarm at the bottom, then tapped the + symbol on the top right. That takes you to add alarm. I selected sound and choose an alarm tone I liked (one that doesn't cause a heart attack when I am peacefully sleeping). I hit save. It set an alarm for the time I began the process but I just turned that off. After that, whether I set an alarm manually or with siri, the same tone resulted.

  • No ascending calendar alarm tone in N82

I'm having some problems with the sound level of the calendar alarm in my new Nokia N82. I have the ringing type set to ascending in the phone profile and both the alarm clock and ringing volume start at a low level and increases which is what I want. The problem is the calendar alarm that starts playing the alarm tone at the highest level which is very annoying to say the least. A strange thing is if I go to calendar settings to change the alarm tone the phone previews the tone in ascending mode, starting at a low level and increases. My previous phone was a 6630 and it didn't have this problem.
What can I do to fix this annoying problem or do I have to wait for a new firmware release to fix this problem. Does anybody else have this problem with your N82s?
    Best regards, Magnus

It's been like this in all firmware versions so far. I think it's like that on other similar models too.
There is no way to change it on the phone. What you can do if you know how to edit audio on a PC is find a sound that you like and edit it so the volume fades in.
Other than that you'll just have to hope that they change it.
