Setting app is gone. Phone won't restore.

Settings app is gone. Not on any other screens, several other apps are gone as well, won't restore when connected to iTunes. Phone is a 4. Please help

If it is asking for account details then it might just need you to confirm your account before it lets you proceed. Maybe the terms and conditions changed since last time or something like that. Try signing into your Apple account in iTunes on a computer first to check that. Then restart the phone and try again.

Setting up a new phone with ipod restore????

So just got my new phone. And during the set-up it says "An iPhone has previously been synced with this computer" I never had an iPhone before but I DO have a ipod.
So it's asking me to set-up as a new iPhone OR restore from the ipod back-up...
My question is which to choose? If I choose NEW will it forget, erase all the ipod data OR if I restore will it place everything from my ipod onto the iphone. Just not sure which to choose. I want to be able to sync both of course but I don't want the "NEW iPhone" set-up option to mess up the ipod in anyway.
Any help for one who is a bit confused...thanks in advance.

I have a family plan with wife's 2G iPhone and my 3G iPhone.
At ATT I upgraded my iPhone to a new 3Gs and moved my wife's phone number to my 3G. That part works fine, but the difficulty is in restoring the Backup from the older 2G phone into the 3G.
I know the backup is there, because it loads okay into the old 2G iPhone right away.
How do I get iTunes to load the 2G Backup into the 3G iPhone so my wife's stuff stays with her newer iPhone?
When I plug the 3G in, it doesn't offer the restore from backup, or a list of other phones synched with that computer.

Apps are gone after doing a restore

I did a full backup to my computer and then chose restore iPhone. After restoring the iPhone with my backed up data, all of my apps are gone.

Sync them back using itunes.

Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

I backed up my iPhone first then did a factory reset so I could get the iOS 8 update and now that I have it, my phone won't restore

Idk what's happening and I really hope I did not lose EVERYTHING on my phone. After the backup and reset, I updated my phone to iOS 8 and during the updating process on iTunes it said backing up or something like that and then I instantly thought "noo! backing up what? theres nothing on my phone right now" so i think it was backing up my phone after I reset everything up to my computer so during that I THINK I pressed restore iPhone while it was updating to iOS 8 and i did that because it said it was backing up when there was nothing on my iPhone and everything from my phone is on my computer so I tried to restore it during the updating process just to make sure everything went back to my phone. Then the update got corrupted. I don't think it was the stuff I backed up because it was already on the computer and it was the update that wasn't finished so I think it was the update that got corrupted. Now I have iOS 8 and every time I try to restore my phone it says it restored but nothing ever happens, it brings me to the "Hello" screen every time. Then when I get to the set up as new iPhone or restore from iCloud/itunes screen I try to restore it again and back to the "Hello" screen I go. PLEASE HELP ME GUYS PLEASE!

I went back to iOS 7 and my backup file is restoring but when its done nothing is on my phone still and only takes 11-15 minutes to restore the backup instead of taking 25+ minutes like usual so I guess the backup is corrupted. How can I fix this?

You restored from a iPhone 4 which does not have SIRI so the setting was turned off on the new phone.

Forgotten iPhone unlock code- phone won't restore

FForgot the unlock code, connected to the laptop but it did not pick it up to synch,
ttried to restore, got the connect to iTunes symbol on the phone,
cconnected cable to laptop,
got an error on laptop saying pin code requested on phone,
disconnected and and connect again, now top bar saying 23 mins for iPhone software update but got another pop up saying iPhone code unlock requested, clicked x and now tins back to the normal unblock screen.
DOnt know if this is restoring the phone or what?
time on laptop had jumped to 28 minutes now.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

TS3694 Phone won't Restore (error 3194). Please HELP!!

My iPhone 4 is unlocked and was running on iOS 4.3.3. I am travelling and so delayed upgraging to iOS 5 till the release of iOS 6. Now, suddenly my phone is stuck on the Connect to iTunes Logo. Connecting to iTunes and Restoring to iOS 6 gives me ERROR 3194.
I have tried to Restore to iOS 5 as well as iOS 4.3.3. but all to no avail. iTunes checks with Apple Server and downloads the software (a slow painful process abroad!!) and then tries to instal the iOS only to come up with Error 3194.
I have tried repeatedly, with the same results.
Please HELP urgently... I am dead without the phone!!

download a program called RecBoot, very easy to use, connect your iphone and click on "exit recovery mode" and it will restart normally. I had the same problem as you, but I solved it with this program.

I recently bought a new app called swingbyte for my I phone. They said I had to download IOS 5 to my phone. I downloaded I tunes onto my computer but I can't find any instructions on how to download IOS 5 unto the phone.

Connect the iPhone to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the phone to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases (you may also want to copy photos off the phone as well) and then force a backup of the phone by right-clicking the iPhone 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'. You shoud also copy off any important documents, notes, files etc e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case.
You can then start the update by selecting the iPhone on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button.

The remote app on my phone won't connect to my Apple TV. In can use AirPlay.

I Cant get the remote app on my iPhone 5s to connect to the apple TV. The AirPlay is working fine. I have switched the Apple TV off with no help.
