Setting Current date to calendar control when the page loads

I am using a calendar contol i want to set its value to current date,
is there any method to do that ? Please help

It will load Requests page, but there aren't any names showing in the box (you have to choose the friends name in order to send them something). Can't send gifts or requests because of this.

It is because when you have a problem you (customers) go running to the store and want to take up the time of the reps to fix it. Other carriers have third parties that deal with technical support and those locations are few and far between. VZW provides this directly through their stores. Also, when you subsidize a $650 and pay $200 VZW has to pay $400. Your monthly service fee doesn't begin to scratch the surface of paying that back. Not with all the money that is put into the network and its improvements.
Then over a year later you get someone on the phone who apologized and offered to waive the fee on your phone and you didn't take it? That offer won't come down the pike again.
One thing you should know is that all these employees are people and as such they sometimes come off cross. I doubt that you speak to everyone so sweetly all the time. Cut them a little slack and put this whole thing behind you after 15 months. Either upgrade with VZW or move on.

Is there any way to stop websites from auto-playing their content (music/videos) when the page loads?

Certain websites have ads or content that plays music or videos and they are not always easily found to turn off. This also slows down my connection as it is constantly streaming or buffering and I have no way of stopping it. Is there any way that I can disable the websites from automatically playing their content?

Is there any other options for this?
I don't want to block the audio/video, and I do use ad-blocker... However, it's just really annoying when I "open link in new tab" for something I want to look at a little later. Especially if I open several at once, I get multiple tabs playing audio and/or video, and sometimes it takes a while to figure out which tab is doing what...
The issue is I don't want to "block" them -- I just don't want them to play until either the tab is "activated" by clicking on it, or better yet, to only play when I click on the audio/video link.

You can try to copy the text to the clipboard (Ctrl + A and Ctrl +C) if you need to refresh.
"Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

How do you paly music when the page load

Are you trying to add like background music to your flash
movie?
If so just create a layer called music or something so you
know what it is, insert a blank keyframe in the first frame of that
layer. Then import your music file and drag it from the library
onto the stage in that keyframe.

I have 2 date pickers 'Start' and 'End' on a screen with report that has a where clause using above values. Start defaults to current date, End defaults to current month end date, I have another radio group with default to Monthly......
Now when the page loads, I see the default values for 'Start' and 'End' date pickers but the report doesn't reflect those values. I added an on change dynamic action, and so when I change the value of 'End' date picker, it submits the page and now the values are reflected in the report........
I tried creating another dynamic action > with event On Page Load.....and disable fire on page load, and to submit the page, this is causing an infinite loop of submitions........can you please tell me how to achieve this with out putting an exclusive submit button on the Screen.......

You don't have to submit the page here.
What version of apex?
What report is it? i.e. Interactive report/Classic report
Depending on your version of apex you can simply use the Page Items to Submit attribute to set the session state

Why is my tabbed panel defaulting to the third tab, instead of the first one, when my page loads?

I have a tabbed panel widget on the home page of our website and it is essential that the audience views the content on the first tab when the page loads.
Thereafter they can click on the other tabs to view content. I have tried using "Arrange" "Bring to Front" by clicking on the object in the layout and also physically dragging the elements in the layers panel [i.e. re-arranging the order of the layers], however the panel view just keeps reverting back to the third panel which is the first in my layers list. When I try to drag this down to the bottom of my layers for this composition the first panel moves physically in the layout to the third panel.
The idea is to have the one currently showing at the bottom, "Data Centre..", ALWAYS showing on the top and the one currently showing on the top, "Engineering &.." , ALWAYS showing on the bottom. As I said before, physically re-arranging the order of the layers is not working either.

I am working on jsf page in ADF10.1.3.3. I have a View Object which displays the results on the screen. Can someone provide me some example where I can dynamically set the where clause parameter to my Query in VO before the Page Load happens(By Overriding the Prepare Model) and display results on screen.

How do I invoke an ActionListener on a page when the page initially loads?
Page 1: A user clicks on a h:commandButton and is navigated to Page 2.
Page 2: When the page loads and goes through RESTORE_VIEW, APPLY_REQUESTS and RENDER_RESPONSE, I need to call an ActionListener in the managed bean for Page 2.
However, if the user comes in from any other page than Page 1, the ActionListener cannot be invoked intially when the page loads. The user has a choice to click on the h:commandButton on Page2 to invoke the ActionListener.
What is an example of invoking a method with the ActionListener signature in Java code?
Where would I put the code to invoke the ActionListener, in a beforePhase or afterPhase, constructor?

Interesting. You're right. It doesn't happen when I click away from this site and then return. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree. Maybe it's the specific website I was thinking of and not Firefox. Using a4j to load a rich:dataTable after the page loads

I have a rich:dataTable that calls a session bean which executes an SQL query to generate the data to be displayed in the table. Something simple like:

where Bean.getItems() performs an SQL query and returns List<Item>.
The problem is that the query takes a long time to execute (~45 seconds) and I'd like the page to initially load while the query is being executed, displaying a spinner while it loads. Once the query is done, I'd like to update the initially empty table using ajax.
I set up a spinner using a4j:status and it works fine after the page initially loads (using a rich:datascroller).
However, the page will not initially load until the query completes, which is a problem because the query is so slow. What happens is the user clicks on the "List Items" tab from my site's homepage, sits there on the same page for 45 seconds with absolutely no visual indication that anything is happening, and then finally is taken to the list of items page.
What is needed to make the dataTable load via AJAX the first time, as well as all subsequent times?

Disclosing first tab (in a panel tab) always when a page loads up

Hi,
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 and I have a page which contains panle tab. I have configured MDS in my application. So if I close the page visiting 2nd tab, the next time if I visit the page, it opens up with the 2nd tab disclosed.
What I want is to disclose the first tab when the page loads up. Can I exclude this page from MDS or Is there any preferred way of doing this in ADF?

Every backup replaces the old one, so, unless you included the backup folder in your computer backup routine, you can't get back your calendar info.
The only time iTunes will not replace a backup is, when you use it to restore from, this one will stay in the backup list in iTunes.

How can I highlight the default data in a numeric control when a VI loads.

I have a VI that features a string constant that asks for a numeric response via a numeric control, a "next" button that enters the data (controlled by the enter key), and two leds, one that lights if the data entered is correct, and one that lights if the data entered is incorrect. Is there anyway that I can make sure that when this VI loads, the zero in the numeric control is highlighted?
Currently the opeator must use the mouse to highlight the zero in the numeric control, type the number and press enter ("next") to advance in the program. I want the operator to be able to simply type the number after the VI loads and press enter. This would require the zero to be highlighted when the VI loads.
Is there anyway that I can format the numeric control to do this?
