Setting default unconditional mode(s) for a specific SID in TMS

I am working in ECC 5.0, and I'm trying to configure one of the systems in our TMS landscape to use a specific unconditional mode (u2) by default. Does anyone know a method by which I can set this in the TMS configuration? I was looking at parameter R3TRANSOPTIONS for this, but after multiple searches on help.sap.com (and other sites), I cannot verify (1) that this will even work (2) if it will work, what the syntax for the call is.

Hi Katherine
This is not possible with a normal import all job for TMS or other settings as far as I know. It is also not recommended that you would use an unconditional mode by default.
The unconditional mode is specified by the tp process, so an R3trans parameter is not going to help. Their are a number of TP parameters as well, but no parameter is available for the unconditional mode in SAP.
If you would absolutely need this, I think the simplest solution would be to create a custom program to do this, you can then program a report which uses the tp command with U02. You would have to be careful with authorisation of this report as it could be dangerous for end users to perform this.

I created one request with logo in the header an page in the footer etc. and called StyleSheet. After you can import this formats by each request.
You can do this in compound layout.

How do I set up the port interface for the WAN side of my RVS4000? The ISP says I need to set it to 100T Full Duplex, but where would I do that? In the Router's administration GUI I can't find any options to make such settings for the WAN side.

The setup of the folders in Finder is entirely up to you. Whatever suits your needs is what you should do. Lightroom will be fine no matter how you set it up.
So I'm not really sure what your question is.

How to set default .PDF file extension for Form Downloads

I am trying to find a way of setting the PDF file extension when I download forms.
I author the forms under a Plus subscription and am then downloading the forms under a basic subscription Collaborator account (diffrent person)
If I don't include .pdf as the file type when downloading a form with a unique name as the Collaborator, it downloads without a file extension.
Remembering to continually add the pdf file extension is a pain so I'm hoping there is away of setting this as a defaulet for my 'collaborator' account ?

Firstly, apologies for multiple posts, I received messages saying my comment hadn't posted and also checked my history before re-submitting.
Okay, the process is
1. Log in as the Author account and I can rename the file without having to set the extension
2. Log in as the Collaboartor account - same PC, browser etc and it doesn't save with a default file extension; HOWEVER, I have done this whilst also being logged in on a diffrent browser as the Author
3 I have just tried logging out as Author and only being in as the collaborator and the form downloaded with a default PDF.
4. I had someone else log in as the collaborator from thei PC and browser whilst I was still signed inunder my author account and again they were unable to save as PDF by default
This has me wondering if there is anything at play when you've got multiple Users?

Set default File Export Form for Communication Medium?

Hi,
Does anyone know whether it's possible to set a default File Export Form for Communication Medium.
For example, I created communication medium 'Direct Mailing'. Everytime when a user selects this communication medium in a Marketing Campaign, I would like the File Export Form 'Z_DIRECT_MAILING' to be selected automatically. Is this possible?

@ Rienk - That isn't my issue, what I was looking for was to have the last setting I selected (either in Batch Export or in QT Movie Export) "Stick" so when I go to do the next set I don't have to re-select all of my settings.
@ Nick - Not a good thing in this case. I need to send out QTs that have the speed change "baked-in" and convert the format(to ProRes, so the Color Grading session using "Color" doesn't choke. I changed my Sequence: "Settings > QuickTime Video Settings > Compressor" to ProRes, but the "Current Setting" seems to stick to the original clip's capture format (XDCAM EX).

Set defaults on a Numbers for iCloud beta spreadsheet?

How can I set page defaults on a Numbers for iCloud beta spreadsheet? I want to have the size set to 100% and the Format panel hidden. At present I have to re-set these values everytime I re-open the file. I have loooked in help but can't see any relevant info. I'm running Mavericks.

Further to my post on April 23, I have noticed that when I save a numbers file on my Mac, all the changes I have made to things like the size, whether the format panel is visible, even the window extents etc. are all saved with the file. Of course this is what you would expect but in the iCloud Beta version there is no Save command so I assume that is why these things are not saved. Does anyone know if this is correct or if there is a work around?

Hi all,
Im using UCM 10GR3 and i must set an default skin and layout for all users.
Into General Configurations Field > System Variables i set
LMDefaultSkin=MySkin
LMDefaultLayout=MyLayout
But this didnt work. Anybody have a clue?
My skin is working fine but i have to change via My Profile.

There is no such option of default scrap value in IMG. You will have to put that amount in asset master.
If the data quantum is high then better to write LSMW or CATT

RMAN Catalog - Identify session for a specific SID

Dear all,
is it possible to identify the rman session on the recovery-catalog database that is currently backing up a specific SID?
Or in other words: Is the SID of the target database visible somewhere in the V$-Views on the catalog database when a backup is running?

The recovery catalog stores metadata about RMAN operations,but it does not record ongoing processes. There's a catalog view,which holds HISTORICAL data:

Setting default "Initial View" options for new PDFs

I usually want most of the PDFs I create to open with the pages panel displayed and “fit to window”. Currently I open every PDF and change that in the document properties under “Initial View”, save and close.
There must be a better way.
Is it possible to set this as the default for all newly created PDFs as part of the job options definition?
I've searched in the different settings panes, but to no avail.
Any hints appreciated.

The Initial View (IV) settings are not part of the options when creating a new PDF, either in Acrobat or Distiller.
There are several options to apply IV depending on the version of Acrobat you're using. You can create an Action in Acrobat X which applies IV to any open file as per your requirements, and optionally saves it as well. In Acrobat 9 or earlier you can do a similar thing with a batch process sequence.
If you need to attach IV as part of the creation process then you can use an "epilogue.ps" script to add commands which Distiller will append to the PDF, and link that PS file to one of Distiller's presets.

1)Kindly let me know what should be done so that I can open this Workbook in Excel 2003.
2) Suggest a way to set the default extension for Bex 7.0 "Custom" workbook (Not SAP standard, the option is available in Global settings-->Default workbook) to .XLS.

The only correction for this situation is documented on these two notes below:
1339061 - BExAnalyzer: opening XL 2007 files in XL 2003 not possible
1267924 - BExAnalyzer: Use XLS as File Format when using Excel 2007
   With Frontend Patch 800 a new property "Use XLS File Format" in "Global
   Settings" dialog is available when using BExAnalyzer with Excel 2007 and
   the SAP Default Workbook is being used.
So, everytime when you created a new workbook, check the flag of "Use XLS File Format" checkbox and save the workbook.
Then you will be able to open with Excel 2003.

[SOLVED] What sets default I/O scheduler for disks?

having read the Wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/So … _Scheduler , my attention got caught by the current I/O schedulers for my disks:
SSD (two partitiotions: / and /boot, both ext4):
# cat /sys/block/sda/queue/scheduler
noop deadline [cfq]
2 HDDs (part of ZFS mirror pool, partitioned by ZFS itself, mounted automatically on import by ZFS):
# cat /sys/block/sdb/queue/scheduler
[noop] deadline cfq
I am about to create my own udev.rules to set noop and cfq for SSD and HDD, respectively. I just wonder, why all of them are not [cfq], which should be the default?
P.S. I grepped all files in /etc for "noop" and "cfq" to make sure it is not some of my setting forgotten in time. And found nothing.

How to set default object placement & wrap for drag-and-dropped files

I am working on a document into which I need to drag-and-drop a number of files from the Finder: JPGs, PDFs, and so on. Each time I drag a file into Pages, by default its placement is set as "Floating (doesn't move with text)" and "Object causes wrap" is active.
I would much prefer that the default settings be "inline" and "object does not cause wrap," so my drag-and-dropped images will appear within the text and move with it.
Is there a way to change this default setting?

Niel's suggestion is good. You might also try posting your question in the Tiger Server forums. I'm sure Tiger Server has several ways of dealing with this.
