Setting FAQ's in CRM

Hi,
i need a clarification on catalogs,
i need to setup FAQ's in the system where i need to do it ,
what is the catalog codes codegroup,
i need to classify the queries according to the catalog catagoery,codes&code groups,
i am going to develop this in Enterprice intelligence-->solution D/B>basic settings->catalogs&catagories>codes,code groups
is this the right config?

    Hi Manish,
    From my experience, you cannot change an existing attribute of a set type (esp. when it has a dependency).
    You need to delete the attribute, save the changes and then re-create the attribute with new value table.
    Also remove any dependencies before deleting the attribute.

    We are using HANA database as a primary database. I'm in process of configuring Knowledge management using the best practice C3G/C29.
    I did not get answers to below questions even after reading documentation on knowledge management and OSS notes(1254901,1517236,1703338,1730098,1770286,1773525,1777201,1789329,1789386,1792053,1816407,1817417).
    1. Is it necessary to Install TREX even though the database is HANA ?
    2. How to connect SAF(software agent framework) to HANA  , SAF uses TCP/IP RFC connections to TREX ?
    I have selected HANA database as search engine in below path.
    SAP NetWeaver system and launch the Implementation Guide (IMG) by using transaction SPRO. Navigate to the node  Search and Operational Analytics  Common Settings for Operational Analytics and Embedded Search  Configure Indexing  Define TREX/BWA Destination or SAP HANA Database Connection .
    As I'm using HANA database I can't use RFC destination of TREX TCP/IP connections and TREX was not installed.
    Please guide me how to set up knowledge article in CRM on HANA db.

    There are a series of steps that are to be done...
    These include creating sites and subscription in CRM, setting up filters, and number ranges....
    All these are in the connectivity guide C71 and replication guide B09.
    Refer C71 first and then B09. These would suffice.

    As you are in SP20 you should check the components version according to SAP note 1274287.
    Have you checked that all the components are meeting the requirements(including JAVA components)?
    About your doubt #3, please check whether you have configured the system according to the SAP Solution Manager Landscape Setup Guide:

      -> SAP Solution Manager Landscape Setup Guide
    or check SAP note 987835.
    As you say that you have performed the Initial and Basic configurations I assume you have implemented the solution manager basic functions note (1334252).
    Afterwards you can check the Workload analysis and check if data is shown there. For further troubleshooting you can use the "Troubleshooting Guide" attached to note 1332428.

    You have to do the middleware config in CRM and few settings in SCM system to replicate orders. After doing the setting you have to start the initial load and then the delta load will be taken care automatically based on settings.

    to synchronise all the clients in the CRM,u need to structure ur transport request,that is whenever a request has been made,the same has been transported to all the clients or not
    Go to T-Code -SE09 and copy all released transport request from each client from Sandbox,Development,Quality,Production and match all request manually.
    this is just a way other may be to see manually all the settings in all the clients

  • How to Change an Attribute of A SET TYPE in SAP CRM

    I have created an ATTRIBUTE through comm_attrset, and assigned it to a SET TYPE. Now I wanted to change the data type of this attribute. Its not allowing me to delete it, as its already assigned to teh SET TYPE. Moreover the set type is also not getting deleted as its assigned to a category ID.
    Kindly let me know how can I change the attibute , if any one of you have come accross such situation.

  • Set user status in CRM for incoming ERP order

    Hello,
    as SAP doesn't offer a user status replication between ERP and CRM (Note 905430) and we have the requirement that incoming ERP orders should get a specific user status, I was trying to implement the BADI CRM_DATAEXCHG_BADI.
    For data coming from the ERP system into CRM, the documentation of that above mentioned BADI points to implement the CRM_DATAEXCH_R3D_MBDOC_FILL method.
    I am experimenting for a week now how to fill the status segment correctly but unfortunately I don't get it to work. I didn't find any coding examples in SDN nor OSS so that now I am posting myself the question due to the lack of documention/information on that interface.
    Does anybody know what I have to fill in the structure BAD_STATUS_MESS which consists of the following fields:
    TR_STATUS
    BEF_IMG
    TASK
    SENDBITS
    CLIENT
    GUID
    ORDERADM_H_GUID
    STATUS

    We are using Internet Sales component of CRM.
    We have the enviornment setup to launch ISA.
    I am doing Building blocks C14.But I am not getting the initial USER logon screen for WEBADMIN.So somthing seems to be missing.

    Please check the following:
    1) You access the XCM tool at: http://<host>:<port>/<web app name>/admin/xcm/init.do
    2) Login using WEBADMIN or equivalent ID
    3) Create a Customer Application Configuration
    Once you have selected the configuration that suits your needs go to Edit mode.
    1. Enter a configuration Name and choose Create.
    2. Configure the application configuration by associating configuration data with the configuration parameters. There is a description for the scenario of each configuration parameter in the last column of the parameter table.
