Setting files as TV show

Hi
I have a serious of videos that I want to set as a TV show in iTunes, so it would be arranged on my iPhone and iPad. How do I do that?

Ok, I am coming from a PC to a MacBook. The description you have given re changing the 'Media Kind' to TV Show, is exactly how I would do this on my PC.
However, when trying on my new mac - nothing happens. The option is there, but it simply doesn't seem to work - as the option is still there when I look again.

How do I get rid of files that only show up on my iPod, but not on my computer when connected? These files appeared after I reconnected my iPod to my computer, and appear to be music files linked to a website.

I purchased an album on itunes and everything was fine. Then when I reconnected my ipod and it did some autosync (which I have it set up to do manual sync) it added every single song a second time, but apparently they are some sort of internet file, that will only play when I have internet connection. These files won't show up through my computer at all and I can't figure out a way to delete them directly from my ipod either. It's incredibly annoying as when I try to listen the album it plays through two songs, then automatically quits playing when it gets to these phantom files...

It sounds like there may be some confusion on your system about what application should be associated with PDF files. You can reset filename associations by following the steps in these articles (depending on your operating system):

How to set the default item showed in a h:selectonemenu

I need to show the second, or the third, and on so.
i tried some ways to set the default item showed in it, but failed.
i had tried the attribute value, but it stiil showed the first item.

In /etc/default/grub you can use the name of your entry you wish to use as default
GRUB_DEFAULT='Arch Linux, with Linux core repo kernel'
You can tell grub to stop using submenus by doing:
GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU=y
Or you can just make a purely custom menuentry in /etc/grub.d/40_custom if you'd like:

initrd <INITRD IMAGE HERE>
EDIT: /etc/grub/default -> /etc/default/grub

Setting file name for a downloaded file

I've set up a file download using code I've gleaned from jsf forums. However, the file name is not being set correctly. When the user downloads File.doc, it shows up as downloadPage.jsf. Am I setting the header correctly?

HTML form: file requestor to show only specific extensions?

I included an upload page in my web application via a HTML form. When pressing the browse button, the file requestor shows all files in the given directory. Is it possible to set up the form so that the file requestor only shows specific file types (e.g. only extensions ".zip") - just like the file filters in JFileChooser?

There is an interface java.io.FileFilter. You can implment this interface to check for your extensions then pass it to the listFiles method of the File class.

How to make actual file for TV Shows on ipod

I have a 30g ipod, and I would like to know if it is possible to make a actual file for tv shows. When you go under video on the ipod, there is one for music videos, and one for movies, but when you set the videos to tv shows, it only shows up under "recently added". Any suggestions??

On a Mac- Lostify(which I use and works great) or one of the other meta taggers designed around Atomic parsely.
On Windows-no idea.

Cant Find ....... Choose File^ New Slide Show

I am trying to make a slideshow for the first time. ( iPhoto4.0.3) I can't find the .... " Choose File ^ New Slide Show " in the iPhoto File drop down menu to make a slide show, it only gives me New Album, New Smart, Close Window, Import, Export, Trash , Page set up, Print ... as options. After I figure this out and make a slide show with music, etc. What is the best option for burning it to a DVD for others to view on their home DVD player(s)

With the iPhoto window in organize view you will see the slideshow option at the bottom of the window.
Select the photos or albums you want first then click on slideshow.
To save it, go to the menu and choose export, the export to QuickTime. Make your Quicktime selections - then export.
The Quicktime Movie file can be viewed by anyone with QuickTime installed.

Set file position error

Hi,
I am using LabVIEW 2009 SP1 on Win XP OS system. I am reading and writing data to a text file whose size does not exceed 50 MB. whenever i try to set file position to a value of say 128 bytes from the start of file, the function does not show an error. But when i try to read back the file position using get file position function, the value shows a very high number. I am not able to do a random access read of the file data. Please help.

Retrain OCR in LabVIEW (retrieve indexes of found characters within the character set file)

Dear all,
I am trying to retrain my OCR set file in LabVIEW. Basically I show the read string to the user and in case something is wrong the respective character must be corrected in the charatcer set file, according to the text entered by the user. It sounds quite straightforward, but I haven´t manage to figure out how to retrieve the character index in the file has to be retrained. For that I would need know which character in the set file was found to resemble a give read character. Do you know how can I retrieve this info? I intent to use the OCR Rename Character VI.

you can retrieve the total number of trained characters by using the IMAQ OCR Property VI and looking for the property "Size of char set".

Cyndi6858, help is here! We'd be happy to help figure this out. Just to be sure though, the Droid Maxx should not have an SD card. Is this the Droid Razr Maxx? How did you add the music to the device? Are you able to see the files and folders located on the SD card or device when plugged in?

NEF Files Do Not Show up in Lightroom.

I bought a new Nikon D750 yesterday and my raw files do not show up in Adobe Lightroom. The do show up in Photoshop and Bridge. I have creative cloud and it says it is "up to date" Does anyone know how I can get Lightroom to open the files? Thanks. Father Hungry.

I have an iPod Touch but I currently don't have a PC. I found an app that would allow me to connect to my network drive and I was able to transfer music files to it. These files do not show under the Music app and I can't find any way to do it.

I found an app that would allow me to connect to my 2TB network drive directly and I was able to transfer a bunch of music files to the iPod. Unfortunately, these new files do not show under the Music app and I can't seem to find any way to convince the iPod that they are music. I can play them through the file manager only. Android doesn't have this problem, any music I put on my phone is recognized as music and can be played through any of the music apps. Am I missing something or is Apple to inflexible to handle this?

You can't. The only way to get songs in the Music app is to sync from a computer or to download from iTunes.

CS6 - Data Set file doesn't refresh :(

There appears to be a bug in CS6 - does this work in any version of Photoshop?
Problem - data sets are not refreshed when contents of the data file are changed, despite clicking "Apply Data Set".
The latest updates are installed, running on Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit, plenty of RAM and available storage. This has never worked before and appears to be a bug in the software. I’ve gone so far as to close PS and even rebooted between steps 4 and 5, same problem. Here's how to recreate it:
1. Create a psd, define variables (I've tried both text and graphic layers)
2. Assign csv file as "Data Set", save the psd
3. Run export, close psd
4. Chage data in csv that was defined as Data Set, save and close csv file
5. Re-open same psd
6. Click "Apply Data Set" - nothing happens
Data is NOT refreshed regardless of whether Data Set 1 or “All data sets” is selected.
The only thing that seems to work is to open the PSD and redefine the exact same file as the data set again, then batch export. Because I'd be dealing with volumes of psd files that use volumes of Data Set files that change daily, this isn't feasible.
Defining (or redefining the same file) cannot be recorded in batch mode, nor through the listener (tried previous version just to see).
Please let me know if/when this will be fixed. Really want to use Photoshop since it's the BEST

What kind of file is the information stored in? If it's a text file with some sort of delimiter, you can use Read From Spreadsheet File. If it's in an Access database, then yes, you can use the Database Connectivity Toolkit Toolkit to run queries on the database. I don't have any examples. What I use for database queries is Jeffrey Travis' LabSQL. The toolkit and LabSQL are both based on ADO. The toolkit makes queries very easy to create. LabSQL requires some knowledge of the SQL database language.
