Setting for "Exploding BOM in Process order"

I have a requirement where I want to create BOM for sales order using CS61 and then I want to explode this BOM automatically in Process order(Production order) and it should happen automatically.Please let me know the settings for the same.

Hi Subhro,
I thought you are talking about the BOM material for the ref technical object say functional location or equipment in the service order. If you have maintained the BOM for the equipment you can pull the all the component list in the component tab.
In the component tab click on the List button available in the component tab. You will see the list of BOM material.

Missing raw material position (from BOM) in process order
Hello to all,
Please help me on my issue on missing raw material position (from BOM) in process order.
On transaction CS11, for a particular formula/plant/BOM application, the BOM was produced. It was found that this BOM has 20 positions (from 0010 to 0200).
Now, when the user proceed on the process order for this, the position 20 is missing into the order. What checks should be needed to proceed on checking why the item is missing into the process order?

The last check what i would suggest is to check the "Plant-Spl- material status" of the material in line item 0020. You have to check this using transaction "MM03" and in MPR1 - view.
You can check the defination of the status in the customizing transaction "OMS4", here check under "Production Section".
I definately think that there was a error message which should have popped up and ignored by the user due to this defination of the status.

Batch determination for raw materials in process order
I have defined a sort rule, batch search strategy and assiigned this strategy to process order type.classification for batch is also defined with charecterstic mentioned in sort rule.But when i am doing BD for raw materials in Process order , it is barnching into some other screen saying, no selection criteria and no strategy info defined. what are the necessary settings to make BD possible for all the materials having batch management.

Cost Analysis Report - For a range of process orders
Dear all,
Is there a standard report available to get the cost analysis for a range of process order? COR3 --> Go to --> Cost --> Analysis. Here I can see the cost analysis for one report. But I wanted to get the cost analysis report for a range of process orders. Please help.

Hi,
We are having Process order Scenario & we watn following options.
1. Having 2-3 BOM of the same FERT/HALB with alternate Raw Materials.
2. Selection of Specific BOM for Process Order depending on the Availability / Requirement.
3. Creating Issue Slip / Reservation for the Specific BOM.
4. Issuing Material accordingly.
5. Booking consumption accordingly.

Please find below the answers of your question ;
1.Having 2-3 BOM of the same FERT/HALB with alternate Raw Materials. ; Goto CS01-Enter Plant-Enter Material -Enter Usage and List down all the items in frist Alternative .Again to create Alternative 2 and so on , you need to go CS02 with same menu path -System will automatically take the Alternative 2 or you can copy Alternative 1 if you have similar items with additional new items..
2. Selection of Specific BOM for Process Order depending on the Availability / Requirement ; As far as MRP is concern , BOM selection and explosion of BOM for depdent , needs to have BOM Selection methods Blank , 1,2,3 in MRP4 view .If you have maintained Producton version with all those aternative with proper validity and lot size , then MRP will explode as per lot size and valididrt depeding on the order qty or you can also create demand MD61 with Production Version based on the avalabity of BOM [MD61-Enter User parametes -Scheculie Tab -Goto Settings-Production Version -Enter PV with spefic BOM based on availablity ] and then run MRP in MD02-NETCH ,3,1,1,3,2 .Howver , you can also select this production version manually while creation of Process order based on the Order Type Depent Parameters in OPL8-Select Process Order Type-Goto Detals-Here Master data tab -Select Production Version -Keep it 1-Manula Selection .Remember , as sequence , MRP will select the frist PV listes in MRP4 view of Material master if it does not find proper lot size and validity.
3.Creating Issue Slip / Reservation for the Specific BOM. ; Generally , MMD/Store will be given Reservation Number and they will chekc in MB51 for open reservation for Goods Issue and carry out MIGO-261.Frosm Shop Fllor you can try Pick List or you can print Process Order Print out in COP1 or MD4C print out also .Otherwise develope customs Forms as per the information permissible from you business to store .
4. Issuing Material accordingly.; It will happen in MIGO-261 or automatcally based on Backflkashing in MRP2 view -Always back flash so that at the confirmation time in co15/c011 , you can automatically goods issue the material .
5.Booking consumption accordingly ; It is Process Order Cycle from Releasing of Process order to till Goos Recipt of Process Order in MIGO-101.You can also use Auto GR based on the Control Key set up in Master Recipe which triggers the Auto GR.

System status LKD REL for operation & phases in Process order
Hi Gurus,
We have a process order in which system status for operations & phases is LKD REL due to which user is not able to confirm the process order. The status of process order is REL PRC APNG APRS BASC BCRQ GMPS MACM RESA SETC. One of the user from planning has set the status to LKD due to some artwork changes. Now another user set the status to unlock. Locked status from order status was reset but at operation & phases level the status is still LKD REL & hence order confirmation is not allowed.
I try to again set the status to lock but i am getting message system status LKD is active (ACT 40547870 0010) which is similar to one which we get during order confirmation.Pls. suggest.

If the status LKD is not set for the order header, this is possibly an inconsistency.
Please open an OSS incident to SAP for further analysis.

We have linked the phases in a relationship , say, FS(Finish to start )
How can we see the relationships defined between phases from PP tables ? Which tables hold these relationship details?

Explode Bom in Purchase Order without Subcontracting
Hi Colleagues,
I have a sales BOM to represent a 'kitted item' (Lets say TV and TV stand) that are stocked as standard individual products.
These component level items are purchased from the same supplier
Is there a way of being able to raise a purchase order for the BOM header and then the PO explodes the component items and quantities? We are not using subcontracting, we simply want to be able to order the Kit header and then suggest the sub components that we can receive them seperately

In retail there's a similar functionality called structured article:

...but in standard SAP you have no such option - as per my best knowledge.
Generally, you get PurReqs during MRP run and you will create a PO from several individual PurReqs that belong to one vendor.
Other option is to copy the same PO (that already contains the components).
The BOM function in PO is for subcontracting exclusively as I know.

Sumit KalyanTolarance limit what you are speaking about is for the components. In wS view what you are setting up is the for the product, not for component.
As I am aware we cannot set any tolarance limit for the component as such.
I am not sure what actually you want.
example - component A, as per the planned qty in production order is lets ussay 10, now when doing confirmation user can enter 10+ or - 1, if he neters moer than 11 or less than 9 system should not allow? is that you are trying to implinment?
If so that mayn not be possible unless otherwise you impliment some user exit.
In OPK4 what settings are there is for product and not for raw material/component -

Since this is a production order ,i used the GM code as '02'.bcoz the documentation says the same .
There are the following types of transactions/events:
1. GM_Code 01: Goods receipt for purchase order
2. GM_Code 02: Goods receipt for production order
3. GM_Code 03: Goods issue
4. GM_Code 04: Transfer posting
i also tried changing it to '01' ,its not working still...

Scheduling issue for splitted operations in process order
Hello All,
I am facing problem after scheduling splitted operation in process order. The scenario is as follows.
In process order there are 5 operations. 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50. Out of the above operations 30 is splitted and two different resources are assigned to it. Control key assigned to splitted operation (30) is also scheduling relevant. Now the flow of operations will be as below.
1. Operation 10
2. Operation 20
3. Operation 30 - Operations is splitted (Resource used is A), qty to be produced - 10 kg.
a. Operation 32 - Quantity of operation 32 is changed to 5 kg. Resource used is B.
b. Operation 34 - Quantity of operation 34 is changed to 5 kg. Resource used is C.
4. Operation 40
5. Operation 50
Relationship exists between opearion 10-20, 20-30, 40-50 and between 30,32, 34 with 40. But there is no relationship exists between splitted operations 32 and 34 with any of the previous operations for eg. 10 & 20.
Issue is after scheduling all operations relationship remains maintained between operations 32, 34, 40 & 50. As operation 30 is splitted to two different operations equally total time for scheduling gets reduced but after scheduling of all operations all previous operations before operations 30 does not get resceduled? Scheduling type maintained for order is Backward Scheduling.
Please check this and guide me how all operations before operation 30 can be rescheduled as per changed timing of operations 32 and 34.

I hope u r doing in this way:
In the capacity header screen enter individual capacity as 2. then click on Got( on top of same screen) and go to individual capacites. Enter the names of two individual capacities, for example 1 and 2. These are the names of two work centres where u r splitting ur operation.
Double Click on operation 0030 and go to tab 'splitting' . Tick on ' required splitting' and enter maximum no. of splits as 2.Then go to capacity requirements assignment tab. enter the individual capacity as 1 and 2 and enter the splitted quanitites.Save and reschedule .
Check and revert.

System status for capacity availability in Process order
Hi,
I have activated the capacity availability check in SPRO to have a capacity check while process order creation.
But system doesnt provide any status in the process order for this. No status is appearing even if I do a manual capacity check in process order.
Is there any system status for capacity is available?.

System will be give any status if capcity is available, but it will give a status MSCP if there is Capacity shortage.

BAPI for complete details of Process Order including characterstic
Hi All,
I need a BAPI for getting complete information of Process order including characterstics and its process instruction. I have got BAPI BAPI_PROCORD_GETDETAIL which returns all the information except order operation characterstics and "characterstics process instructions".
Is there is any BAPI which can return these 2 details for a given process order.

Let me explain you the scenario , I have a Process order PO-001 , for PO-001 i have defined 1 operation OP-001 and a phase PH-001.
For the phase PH-001 i have assigned process instructions PI-001 (You can assign process instructon by selecting a phase and then click on the button Process Instruction below).
By double clicking on PI-001 you can get process characterstics for that selected PI-001.
Now i need a BAPI which can return me PI-001 and its corresponding characterstics if i pass PO-001 in that BAPI.

No 101 for Co-products in Process order confirmation
Hi All
I have a problem in Process Order Confirmation.
I have a order with Co-products. When I do confirmation, 101 Mvt type is not happeneing for all the co-products along with the main product.
The configs looks fine
1. Control key has "Automatic GR"
2. Confirmation parameters have "GR Co-products"
What else could be the problem?Hi Jack,
I'm not sure how it works with process orders but in case of production orders is it not possible to do auto GR for co-products - according to my best knowledge.

You can use MB31 + PrdOrd reference to book the co-products by mvt 101.
