Setting my levels in ACR - is it possible?

Hi, I'm using CS2 and ACR 3.7.
Before I start I'll say that a)I'm colour blind... so I can't rely on my eyes to adjust b)my colour adjustments are not sophisticated, no profiles etc being used as I'm not certain of what I am doing yet.
When I open an image from my EOS 5D in Photoshop I nearly always end up (especially if it is a portrait) running an action to get the colours where I want them. The action takes the red channel and sets the middle input level from 1 to 1.1. It takes the green and sets it from 1 to 1.01. And it takes the blue and sets it from 1 to 0.95. Just now and then I want to set them to 1.2, 1.1 and 0.9 but that is unusual.
I would have thought that I could set these as defaults and save them on the calibrate tab of ACR. However I have no idea how the sliders in ACR relate to the levels for the three channels in a levels adjustment layer.
Would it be the same as increasing/decreasing the hue or saturation (or both) sliders for the appropriate colours? If so - how much? How do I work it out.
If not, can I do what I am trying to do in ACR automatically rather than having to do an action later?
Pointers to explanations elsewhere or guidance here both equally appreciated!

Maybe that's why I love black and white ;) It isn't too bad. I usually ask my kids or my wife to check stuff, but if faces look wrong they probably are!
WhiBal or any other balance method is ok if you can stuff it in the shot. If you're doing an event or a wedding there may not be a chance. But more to the point that relies on selecting and updating files in ACR with them all open. What I'm looking to do is go to bridge, select all the files and apply ACR defaults (having chosen my defaults... of course).
Upgrade to ACR 4.1 I'm sure would be great... but as I'm on CS2 that's not an option just now. It won't go beyond 3.7 :(

No, you're changing the output levels.

Yes, that's why each track has a fader, so that you don't clip.

Yes, right over the Master Volume slider.
I guess you can't just put each track as loud as you want ... correct?
As loud as you want without clipping.
I would strongly suggest doing some web searches on "Mixing and Mastering" to learn more about how to mix, there's a TON of info floating around the web.

Keithley 6220 trying to use "Set Current Level.vi"

Hi,
I am trying to use the "Set Current Level.vi" given by Keithley. But the VI isn't working. When I enter a current level the output stays zero. Only the decimal point and the current range are set correct. I tried to locate the problem, but I am new in LabVIEW and can't find it.
for example, when i enter 10.000mA the output is 00,000mA
Can someone help me please?

The problem is you don't understand what you are setting. The 6220 us a current source and so it has no control over how much current an external sink draws. That is a function is the DC characteristics of the external circuitry.
All the 6220 can control is how much current it will allow the circuit to draw before it goes into current limiting. What you are setting is a limit so you won't see a difference unless your circuitry starts bumping up against it.
By the way in general there are two possible responses to an over current condition. The source can crowbar, which means it turns off the output, or it can go into current limiting where is starts dropping the output voltage until the current limit is reached.

Help on Setting logical Levels in Fact tables and on Dimension tables

Hi all
Can any body provide any blogs or any king of material on what exactly is levelling .
Like after creating the Dimensional hierarchies we need to set the logical levels for the LTS of fact tabels ri8 .So what is the difference between setting logical levels to fact tabels and also Setting levelling on Dimension tables .
Any kind of help is appreciated

Setting system level deployment.user.cachedir in deployment.config

G'day,
I've been experimenting with JRE 1.5.0_04 on Windows XP.
By default deployment.user.cachedir is set to <user home>\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache. However, I want it to be <user home>\Local Settings\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache.
I have managed this as follows.
C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment\deployment.config contains:
deployment.system.config=file\:C\:/WINDOWS/Sun/Java/Deployment/deployment.propertiesand C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment\deployment.properties contains:
deployment.user.cachedir=$USER_HOME\\..\\..\\..\\..\\Local Settings\\Application Data\\Sun\\Java\\Deployment\\cacheThis works but is ugly. The problem is that $USER_HOME=<user home>\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment. It seems that $USER_HOME and $JRE_HOME are the only two variables for use in deployment properties. Are there any others, in particular, one that mirrors the user's actual home directory?

Open the Java Console and execute "dump system and
deployment properties" which shows property values,
and see if what you want is there.Thanks, but I don't think I can use these at the system level, can I?
I did try using ${user.home} but that doesn't work.
So, are there any variables other than $USER_HOME and $JRE_HOME that can be used when setting system level properties?

Problem with setting Source Level in Sun Studio 2

I've got problem with setting Source Level to 1.5 in Sun Studio 2. When I try to set it to 1.5 in Project properties and click Ok everything seem to go well, but when I open Project Properties again Source Level is set to 1.4. I need this to work cause I started to lear Java recently and I want to use foreach loop.

In fact, whether I use DateFormat or Calendar, it shows the same result.
When I set the date to 1 Jan 1950 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds,
jdk1.4.2 will always return me 1 Jan 1950 0 hours 10 minutes 0 seconds.
It works correctly under jdk1.3.1

We are trying to move from Crystal Reporting that run against a IBM DB2 database on a mainfram to SSRS reporting and we have downloaded the "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2 Version 4.0" and then worked with the DB2 Administrator to create the
Packages. We only have access to use the "Read Uncommitted ("MSUR001") package. We were able to connect and pull data before he removed access to the other packages, but after setting access the Connection keeps trying to use
the 'Cursor Stability (MSCS001)" package. How do we change the Default to the "Read Uncommitted ("MSUR001") package??? Since it is keeps defaulting to the the other package
we can't connect to do it in the T-SQL query, it has to be set at the Connection String level.

According to your description, you want to set the Transaction Isolation Level in Connection String. Right?
In Reporting Services, the Connection String for OLE DB Connection can only contains Provider, Data Source and Initial Catalog. There's no property for setting Transaction Isolation Level in the Connection String. Based on my knowledge, we can
only set the Transaction Isolation Level at Query level or set it by using code (C#, VB, Java...) to call the property of Connection. So unfortunately your requirement can't be achieved currently.

Setting field level security

I have created a form in LiveCycle in which two fields (Header and an Image block) need to be editable by one user type (e.g. power user), but should not be changeable by the end users. They will only be able to fill in other fields in the form. So far I have only been able to set form level security. Is there a way to apply security to just these two fields, perhaps requiring a password, so that the power user can update these two fields as needed?

Thanks for responding. We aren't using the LC PM module, so that takes one suggestion out of the running.
We tried some Javascript we found on the Acrobat forum (see below for what we used) - using it as an action with a bookmark, but it didn't work. The guy who wrote the script on that forum looked at our file and thought that the problem was likely because the form was developed in LiveCycle. We are not Java experts (or even close!), so we have no clue where to start. And unfortunately if we cannot find a solution for this dilemma, we will have to decline a project from a client.
So again, any thoughts or suggestions on where to go from here are greatly appreciated!

In this example, the fields that are controlled by this all have a field name prefix of "private", for example "private.name", "private.address", etc. This makes it easier to control the fields as a group, as I do in the line of code that begins: getField("private").readonly If you don't use such a field naming convention, you'd have to have a separate such line for each field in the group.
Replace "your_password" above with one of your own. The first and last lines are not necessary, but do prevent the needless creation of document-global variables, which is a good thing.

Most of the message Flags work only for IMAP mailboxes. POP3 supports only the DELETED flag. It must be understood that Javamail is a framework which provides all the features available in a standard mailing system. But whether or not a particular feature works is a functionality of the particular implementation being used.
Thus for example POP3 cannot differentiate read from unread messages in a mailbox though Javamail provides that feature.

SSIS How to set Tolerance levels via parameters

Hi all
I am after some help as pretty new to SSIS. I need to write some validation requirements on data which needs to be in SSIS.
What I want to achieve is setting Tolerance levels on two fields.
Field A has a tolerance lvl of 0%
Field B has a tolerance lvl of 200%
Both the fields will need to update a status field if the tolerance rule is broken
These will need to be parametized as well.

Can't set sound levels at startup

Hi All,
I've gone through the ALSA sound guide on Arch in some detail. I have sound working on my computer.
However, it starts muted at 0% everytime I boot up... despite using alsamixer to set the levels and saving the config with alsactl store and adding alsa to my rc.conf daemons.
On boot up I see the ALSA sound levels marked as [DONE]
Any ideas what's going wrong?
