Setting preferences for hyperlink display properties

I want all new hyperlinks created by InDesign and InCopy users at my site to have a certain set of properties. I want them to be sort of orange, with a thin dotted line around them. This is not so that they can be exported to pdf with buttons, but just so that we can preserve links in text for a print paper which is later going to be exported to the web, and I have a script that expands them into html at that point.
But I can't seem to find any preference that I can set that will allow me to set default display options for all hyperlinks newly created by users. Hyperlinks used to show up automatically as black rectangles for us, and now they show up invisible. So because I have personally witnessed some change in the default behavior, I feel sure there must be a preference I can set somewhere. But it's possible that was just the switchover from standard behavior in CS4 to standard behavior in CS5.
Any ideas?

Setting values for non-displayed fields on a Tabular Form

I'm having a problem setting non-displayed fields on the same table as displayed fields like last_update_date, last_updated_by, id's and other fields when creating new records or updating existing records in a Tabular form.
What is the best and easiest way to set these values without using database triggers?

I'm a little reluctant to use database triggers as I used this product a couple of years ago and I'm fairly sure I handled this problem in HTML DB without the use of triggers. I am therefore I'm getting a touch frustrated that I can't remember how to do it now !!
Do you know of any way of setting values for non-displayed fields on a Tabular Form without using database triggers?
Also, you seem to be suggesting that database triggers is the best way to do this?

In Mail Preferences, Accounts item: I tried to delete the password (but that did not save). I got this idea from some Mail Help item that I cannot seem to find again. I cannot recall how I did it in Snow Leopard, but I had it set to ask for a password that was used solely for Mail. It would not download anything until I entered that password. Cannot set resolution with gnome-display-properties

After full system update my external display does not get detected/recognized properly by gnome-display-properties
Though before upgrade it worked just fine!
Tried to downgrade hal and xorg-server but without any success.

I have the same problem. I do, like You, own a ASUS P4S8X motherboard and a MSI (Ti4800SE-VTD8X(MS-8900))videocard.
Because it was a brand new system i installed everything from scratch, so installed the MSI drivers for the videocard. Afterwards i thought i that it would be better to download the latest nvidia drivers. Since that time i have the same problem with the property settings of the videocard, Ghost Recon (original and supplied version) does not work anymore as goes for liveupdate of msi.
There is a solution but i think it is CRAP. You have to uninstall nvidia drivers and reinstall the original msi drivers.... bla bla bla... Why is it that there are a lot of known errors with msi/nvidia drivers in conjuntion with the liveupdate, supplied games and with the settings?? I would like to see a (driver)update from msi which is for mortals. I'm not the hacking and phreaking guy, and so are more. I have spent a fortune on this card so MSI get started!!!!!!

Ok, I'm a bit smarter now. If I open the new pdf with reader 7 the graphics are in normal size at 100%. If I open the same pdf in Acrobat 9 pro everything is a bit to big with the "original size" setting, so the graphics are blured, because they get streched. It is a problem of displaying, the pdf seems to be ok, cause it looks good printed and good in Reader 7. But how can I know how the result will look at the users screen and why is the same file different in two reader versions?
and there is still the problem with the pattern / diffusion / noise whatever is the best word for it.

Setting preferences for the Type Tool

Is there a way to change the preferences for the TypeTool? For example, when using it to create a frame, can I set it so that the vertical justification is center instead of top? At present I have to use command B to bring up a panel to make that change. CS4 on a Mac.

You're not talking about preferences for the Type tool. That would be for character or paragraph formatting. You're talking about preferences for a type frame.
You should create an Object Style (Window > Styles > Object Styles) that creates a frame the way you like and apply it as an object style.

How to set preferences for all users?

Setting preferences for a book

I can't figure out how to set the font, size, & its color for use throughout the book as I was able to do in previous versions of iPhoto. Is in possible in '11 & if so how?

I do have the library, in '08 on another computer but it will require adding all the pics I've added since I installed '11. A big job but maybe worth it. Set Preferences for all users

I need to be able to set QT preferences that are persistent to all users of a particular computer.
For example, I need to set the video to Safe Mode, but that setting only gets saved to the currently logged in user. Safe Mode would not be enabled for a user logging in with a different account.
This is on a Windows XP SP3 machine with the latest version of QT.

C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem\QuickTime cpl is the file for the QT control panel.
With XP pro open the Folder Options control panel and click on the View tab. Uncheck> Use simple file sharing [Recommended] this will give the computer a Security tab. While in Folder Options you probably should put a check\dot in> Show hidden files and folders, and uncheck> Hide extensions for known file types and maybe uncheck> Hide protected opersting system file Recommended, to be sure QuickTime cpl shows up.
Right click on QuickTime cpl and click on the Security tab. This should give you the ability to work with permissions for user accounts

Preference for Comments display can not be resored

Just after installation, size of commments stick notes is fine. But after change setting in Preference to be 90pixl/inch, size become too large for notes. If change setting to be smaller, such as 40, text note icon is smaller which is fine. However, pop-up window for stick notes is too small even to change it.
I tried to restore it accoring to help files. However, I can't found preference folder in the path roaming\.......... which mentioned in help file.
How to change the setting to be initial preference?

And what exactly? You have not provided any system information or even mentioned what program you are actualyl referring to, so this is not realyl useful.

In Mail set preferences for which account used to send email

When I click on a webpage link to send an email to somebody, Mail brings up a new email with that address on it -- but invariably it assigns it to an email address that I rarely use. Same for forwarding incoming email. I see no way to edit that From list to have a different account come first. This does not happen when I click new message from the Mail program itself. Is there a way to edit that list?

By default, Mail will always sent new messages from the account that is currently "selected" (ie, you have selected one of that account's mailboxes). However, you can easily change this in Mail's preferences. Choose Mail -> Preferences, then select the Composing tab, then change the pop-up menu next to "Send new messages from" to the desired account.

INFOSET QUERY: Set condition for output display

I have created a infoset query for display of Material inspection Characteristics using tables QPMK, QPMZ & QPMT.
now the user wants to display data only of those transaction no.'s starting with 'MC' or 'EQP' or 'WE' so on & so forth.
I do not know how to incorporate the same in the Infoset. I have tried putting the codes in DATA / START-OF-SELECTION / RECORD PROCESSING etc... but no use.
There is another option of filtering the transaction no,'s in Layout, but user does not want the same.
so kindly guide me.

Genrtae the Infoset "Important step
Go to SQ01(in a new session) , and see if your getting required result.
