Setting speaker as default when answering phone

Hello All:
Does anyone know a way, when answering a call, to set the speaker (handsfree) as the default? I mount my Q10 on my windshield when driving and when a call comes in and I accept it I would like it to default to speaker automatically.

Did you set up a custom ringtone for a specific contact? Is it that contact that calls with the wrong ringtone? The default only applies to contacts that don't have a ringtone specified.

Loud static when answering phone

Hi I get a very loud static sound for 1 sec when answering my 8330 phone, people on the other complain of it as well. is there a fix for this? very new to blackberry phones

I have begun having the same problem. It is really loud and I have learned to answer with the phone far from my ear for the first second or so, but this still doesn't help the person being blasted on the other end. Does anyone know what causes this or if it is simply the beginning of the end of the device??

Set my preferred default when saving PDFs

Right now, when making PDFs I have to keep using the drop-down menu to choose "Smallest File Size" as the type of PDF I want. The default PDF type is "Illustrator Default." I would LOVE to be able to set that default to what I usually use instead of having to select it every time!

This is not the problem. The problem is that one must Save As PDF, rather than Export to PDF. What is needed is a command to export a PDF without affecting the location, name, or format of the currently open file.

Mic delay when answering phone (4S)

When I answer my new iPhone 4S, there appears to be a delay during which the mic output is muted. I need to wait approx 2 seconds before speaking when I answer the phone, otherwise the other party cannot hear me. I have already received a replacement unit from my local Apple Store and both phones exhibit the same behavior.
Guessing this is a problem easily solved with a software update. Apple, please help!!!

Anyone who agrees this is not a hardware problem but likely a software issue? Could it also have something to do with the proximity sensor activating the mic based on the phone's position near your head? Maybe the sensor determines whether the mic is active based on your proximity to the phone when not using speakerphone. For those of us who start saying "hello" as we're raising the phone to our heads, that could be the issue.............?
Either way, easily fixed with a software tweak.

How would I set pages as the default for when download text documents, rather than having it automatically open in text edit?

Select a text file in the Finder, choose Get Info from the File menu, specify Pages under Open With, click on Change All, and confirm this action.

Motorola 850 Very slow to connect when answering phone

I have just connected my BT Motorola HS850 to the Iphone and the pairing went well. When I tried to answer the phone using the BT device I did not receive any audio nor could I transmit for about 9 seconds after I answered the call. Any ideas?

Speaker turns off everytime I answer phone

I have a bluetooth earpiece with A2DP capability (Jabra BT8040). I like to have the sound set to speaker as a default (otherwise you can't hear the phone ring or get notifications) but whenever I use the bluetooth earpiece it automatically sets ALL sound to go through the bluetooth earpeice and does not set it back to speaker mode after the call is complete. I always have to manually set the sound back to speaker, which sort of defeats the purpose of having a hands free earpiece. Are there any solutions to this out there? I find it hard to believe I am the only one with this problem but I haven't seen anyone else mention it. I already tried unpairing and re-pairing the earpiece just in case the problem was with the pairing.

Indeed, this issue exists; it DOESN'T RING through the headset, though! At least for me, using a Jabra BT530 A2DP-capable headset. I too believe that there should be some option panel under bluetooth that allows you to set default ouputs for every kind of sound (it's not very useful to hear the camera or the unlock sounds through the headset), but it's not THAT annoying, since the phone RINGS as it should, through the SPEAKER.

I'm missing a functionality in connectivity. When BT headset is activated all audio is sent to the headset (Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, S60v5). Can it be made possible (by software or setting?) to exclude applications from BT audio, so that audio will remain "connected" to the device speaker? Most of all missing that for the navigation software ...
My older Windows-phone did only sent the telephone-audio to the BT headset, it was even possible to hear navigation audio via the device speaker, while I had a phone call on the headset! Otherwise navigation stops while making a phonecall ...
When used as mediaplayer/radio with the wired earplugs it is already possible to switch audio to the device-speaker.
Does anybody have a solution, maybe an idea for future firmware?

The two most common causes:
You had been using it with a Bluetooth device and did not turn the device off when finished, so it is still connected (as happened to me last week)
You were using it with a headset, and the phone did not register that you had unplugged the headset. To resolve this with the phone awake insert and premove the headphone plug a couple of times.
The last possibility is that the headphone jack is damaged.

If you answered using the wrong phone, then anyone calling the other number will not get through. Anyway to solve this problem?

Thanks for the question. It sounds like your devices are set up to use continuity together. Specifically, it sounds like you are signed into the same Apple ID in FaceTime, and have iPhone Cellular Calls enabled. To resolve your issue, simply disable this setting:

Turn off iPhone cellular calls
To turn off iPhone Cellular Calls on a device, go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off iPhone Cellular Calls.

You can't do that. Only the sending number is transmitted by the carrier with an SMS message. If the recipient has you in their address book, with most smart phones and some others, the name will display, but that's a function of the phone on the receiving end.

Is there a setting that disables vibration while i am using my phone but allow my notification to continue to roll down AND enable vibration only when my phone is locked.

The problem is that I want to be able to read the notifications that roll down but the vibration is very very annoying when i hold the phone in my hands or put it on a hard surface. I am in a group convo and when i am using my phone on an app, and still wish to see what my friends send through the notification that rolls down, my phone will vibrate. And with each notification that rolls down, my phone vibrates. So when my friends spam in the group or are having a very lively conversation, my phone will vibrate non-stop and it gets annoying because it makes a buzzing sound and its very annoying when i am holding it. also, i do not wish to turn vibration off entirely because then i wont be able to be notified when my phone is locked. is there a setting for this?

Tap on the screen to get the camera to autofocus. If the image looks clear to you, but the app isn't accepting it, it's a problem with the app. Delete it and reinstall it. If the issue persists, contact the app developer.

If you do not want to use passcodes, why don't you just go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock and delete the passcode and set the lock to OFF. That will eliminate the problems all together.
