Setting the Client Count per WLAN and per AP radio
Hi
We use WLC 5508 with 7.4. We tried to set max allowed clients per AP radio to 30 through GUI. We have APs with 80 clients associeted though.
Has anyone else tried this feature?
When entering config wlan max-associated-clients max-clients wlan-id we got
"WLAN/Guest-Lan/remote-lan is enabled.Please disable to configure max associated clients."
GUI doesn't show that message, should it? In GUI, Is it necesary to disable WLAN before too?
Thanks
This is the show wlan output
No, the GUI does some stuff automatically, like disablen/enabling the WLAN when you make the change.
From teh CLI *you* have to do them.
HTH,
Steve

Deleting the client immediatly since WLAN is changed
Hello; I recently upgraded our 5508s to 7.0.98 I am now seeing this mesage on the primary WLC while running adebug on a client *apfMsConnTask_1: Sep 29 11:05:36.114: Deleting the client immediatly since WLAN is changed. anyone know what this means?
ThanksJohn,
Have you figured out a solution from your problem? Did the fast ssid change work?
In my scenario I disabled it as I would see clients connecting from one SSID to another but retaining their ip address from the 1st ssid.
This is bad (or I've missed something) if you have different firewall rule sets for these 2 SSID's.

i have a generation 1 ipod touch my wifi is not working, under setting the wifi says no wifi and is gray. i have tried resetting it and its not workin. what should i do, please help. thanks
If a restore did not fix it, you have a hardware issue--possible bad wi-fi radio.
Basic troubleshooting steps.

I have set the CustWiz/MST to 'Disable and Lock' the ability to display PDFs in the browser. We want them to open separately in Acrobat. After I deploy, the setting IS disabled and locked, but when you click a PDF in the browser, it STILL opens in the browser, and not in Acrobat.
I am pushing Acrobat onto machines that already have Acrobat Standard 9 installed with the same settings. It worked properly then.
What is causing this setting to be ignored? How can I fix it? It's delaying my deployment.
I have to deploy Acrobat 9 due to the bug I discovered here:
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/865843
(With many other frustrating responses).
This is getting a little irritating...
Thanks for any input!

Firefox 5Thank you for the answer about updating the Foxit plugin. Firefox tags the Foxit plugin as potentially unstable, so it turns out I had another program killing the plugin's startup process so it was always disabled in firefox. I reenabled its startup process and updated the plugin. To get firefox to use it as the main pdf reader I went to options>applications and changed the option for pdf to the foxit plugin and everything works dandy now! Thanks again!

Downloaded an E.P. and all of the songs play fine except one which skips itself. The play count goes up and if I click later in the song it will play, but it doesn't play automatically, how do i fix this?
many thanks.
I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.) -
How do I set the number of simultaneous downloads? Per server?
iTunes always tries to download 3 podcasts at once, which leads to timeouts on podcast servers that limit the number of connections. That means I'm either missing episodes or else I need to manually babysit iTunes.
Is there a way to set the number of simultaneous downloads? I'm using XP.
Thanks.You can turn simultaneous downloads off. In the downloads window, at the lower left. Also, while things are downloading, you can pause all but one or two.
-
Well, the title of the question pretty much says it all.
If you go to Edit/Preferences, you can set the default duration for each slide. This will affect only those photos you've imported into your project AFTER changing this preference.
You should also turn off the preference for Scale to Frame Size, so your photos do not fill the screen. (And, for efficiency's sake, make sure your source photos are no larger than 1000x750 pixels, per the FAQs at the top of this forum.)
You can also set the duration of each slide by selecting all of the stills you want to include on in your slideshow, right-clicking and selecting the Create Slideshow option. -
JSP, DataWebBean: How to dynamically set the where clause of query and display record
Hi,
I am reposting this question as per suggestions made by Mr. Dwight.
I have used ViewCurrentRecord web bean to display records from EMP table. I have to use the Dept_Id_FK from the current
record of the EMP table to display corresponding records of Dept table. I have a view object called DeptView in my Business
Components which selects all the records from the Dept table.
How do I get the value of Dept_Id_FK and use it to display the required records of the Dept table?
I tried to declare a variable and get the value of Dept_Id_FK but it did not work. My code is as follows:
<%! String m_DeptId = null; %>
<jsp:useBean id="RowViewer" class="oracle.jbo.html.databeans.ViewCurrentRecord" scope="request">
<%
RowViewer.initialize(pageContext, "EMPApp_EMP_EMPAppModule.EMPView1");
RowViewer.setReleaseApplicationResources(false);
RowViewer.getRowSet().next();
m_DeptId = (String)RowViewer.getRowSet().getCurrentRow().getAttribute("DeptIdFk");
%>
</jsp:useBean>
Thanks.
nullFirst of all, Thank you very much for making use of the new topic format. It is very much appreciated.
As for your question, I think there are several different ways to accomplish what I think you want to do.
1. Create a view object that includes both Emp and Dept entities and join them there. In this case, your query would look something like this:
Select e.empno,e.name,...,d.dname,d.loc from emp e, dept d
where e.deptno = d.deptno
You should be able to create a JSP off of this view object that contains both the employee and department information. In this case, BC4J takes care of the foreign key to primary key coordination.
2. In order to set a dynamic where clause for a view, you need to do the following in your usebean tag:
rsn.initialize(application,session, request,response,out,"DeptView");
rsn.getRowSet().getViewObject().setWhereClause("deptno=" | | m_DeptId);
rsn.getRowSet().getViewObject().executeQuery();
rsn.getRowSet().first();
You will need to do this in a separate usebean tag from the EmpView, since the usebean can only initialize one view object.
In other words, you would have your ViewCurrentRecord bean tag for the EmpView, then a separate one for the DeptView where you use the above code to set the where clause to display just the information for the department you want.
Another option, but one I'm not sure would work as well, is to create a master-detail JSP to do this for you. Usually a master-detail is a one-to-many (one department to many employees). Your request appears to be the reverse, but might still be doable using the same mechanism.
You set up relationships between views in your BC4J project using View Links. If you used the BC4J project wizard and created default views, some of these links may have been created for you. They are created when BC4J detects a foreign key to primary key relationship in the database.
You can create your own View Links using the View Link wizard. Select your BC4J project node and choose Create View Link... from the context menu. You will be asked to select a source view (Emp), and a target view (Dept), then select the attribute in each view that related the two of them (deptno).
Next, you need to reflect this new relationship setting in your application module. Select your app module and choose Edit from the context menu. On the data model page, select the EmpView node in the Selected list. Now select the DeptView node in the available list and shuttle it over. You should see DeptView1 via yourlink appear indented under the EmpView node. Save and rebuild your BC4J project to reflect the changes.
In your JSP project, you can now have the wizard create a master-detail form for you based on DeptView1.
Let me know if the above answers your question, or if I have misunderstood what it is you wanted to do.

Setting the hit counter to a specific number.
I posted this in the "previous versions" in error.
OK, I got the hit counter working in iWeb 08. Is there a way to set the number it starts counting from? I would like to start it where the old one left off rather than o.Captain Mench wrote:
Where the heck did you find THAT code??
It's what you gave me in you post, your counter now is: counterValue="857" +- "?";
Source from the page?
Nope, it's all in the info you provided.
Seriously, there are a lot of debugging tools built in OSX, but you have to know what/how to turn them on. AppleScript (bundled in every mac, and my fav) is a tool that I use a lot, as I mentioned in my other posts, I can turn on/off iweb elements <edit> (from user/client browser end) </edit> at will in OSX and safari - because, iweb code is based on DOM: http://www.w3.org/DOM/ and heavily on javascript
I know a bar in Palo Alto that serves a pitcher of Sierra Nev pale ale for $5 (during lunch and happy hours), you buy and I'll show

I usually use a wireless network at home and have very few time out problems with Firefox.
I am travelling and using Optus Wireless broadband where the average ping to a site is 700+ms .
I suspect that this is the cause of the high number of timeouts I am experiencing.
Optus say there are no problems so I think I will have to set the timeout to a longer period.
Please advise what variable name/s (and in which file) the timeout is set for LOADING PAGES.
Thanks in anticipation.
Greg Atkinson.
By the way the same is happening in IE8
and on many sites other than the Yahoo one below.
================Full Error Page ==============
URL is http://au.mg4.mail.yahoo.com/dc/launch?.gx=1&.rand=81jkv757qfdqt
=========================================
The connection has timed out
The server at au.mg4.mail.yahoo.com is taking too long to respond.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.Having the same problem 4 out of 5 times I try to navigate to a new site I get the error "connection has timed out".
My I phone works fine on the same wireless connection so it must be something to do with the computer. The problem occurs on IE, firefox, and google chrome.
I too would like to know how to how to either fix this problem or failing that to extend the length of time before the connection times out (which is currently only about 5 seconds).
Please help!
Thanks in advance -
Is it possible to set the sound output to Firewire and HDMI at the same time?
I would like to use Amarra for playing music thru the Firewire to a DAC and I would like the family to be able to use the MacMini for streaming sources thru the HDMI without having to change any settings every time. I'm running 10.8. Is that possible thru any special settings or separate software?
Thanks in advance

Do some web searches for using software called Soundflower in conjunction with other 3rd party audio software to set up your own audio input and output sources.
That is all I know about it. I have read a few ideas for doing such things over the years. -
