Setting the encode work area option

AME CS5.5 trial: Any idea how to set the "encode work area only" option when importing multiple PP CS5.5 sequences through the standalone AME application, as opposed to exporting through Ctl-M from within PP?
It currently defaults to encoding the entire sequence. The only way to set to "encode work area only" is to alter the setting of each listed sequence. Even selecting all listed sequences and trying to change settings en masse will only change the first on the list.
This is contradictory behaviour because it is possible to select all listed sequences and change presets and codecs en masse, but not work area output option.

Red box Highlighting the entire work area of the Block diagram

I have a thin red box highlighting the entire work are of the block diagram...I've checked for breakpoints but dont see any. I run the code and after completion the entire work area turns black for a couple seconds and then the red box flashes and the continue button on the tool bar is hightlighted. This is indeed a breakpoint.
You should be able to clear it by selecting your breakpoint tool from the tools palette and clicking outside of your main code area.
When your breakpoint tool is going to set a breakpoint, the tool is filled in with black. When is is going to clear a breakpoint, it is not filled.
You can also search for breakpoints from the Edit menu Find function. Click the Select Object icon goto Others and select Breakpoint. This will find all your breakpoints. Sometimes they get set by mistake and you don't know it.

I can't see the "Render work area"

Footage 1920x1080 24fps
Windows 7 Ultimate
Well, if I am not mistaking , there was something called " Render work area" as well as " Render effect area"
Evertime I wanna sync a part of a song with the lip syncing , the audio is off a bit, but I remember there was a way to render just a part of the video before rendering the entire clip or there was a short cut such as space bar or enter, but seems like that don't work either , any help will be appreciated greatly thanks.

It is a piece of software that you buy. The site has several plug ins that we find usefull, and with all the different types of Lip-synching out there (using phenomes with static mouths etc) this one just looks the most natural to me. It is also highly customizable and nice to work with.
Since it is midnight there, in a few hours time, the rest of the regulars will be up and about - I am sure they can shed some more light on the "Render work area" question you still have.

here is a link to a really good tutorial on using built in After Effects tools (no extra cost) I find this is perfect for cartoon type animation lip-synching. The reason Auto-lip synch is better for us, is that we want our characters to look more real and alive.

i am not sure about the script, why not create crawl rule which will exclude the allitems.aspx from showing in the search results.
Go to search service application, crawling section, click crawl rules to create a crawl rule to excludehttp://*allitems.aspx page.

How can I set the TestStand Engine tracing options to be on or off through automatically within my sequence file?

I am looking for a way, where I do not have to set the Station Options manually. I want to make sure that whenever someone is running my sequence, the sequence should make sure that the "Tracing Enabled" options gets disabled somehow. I know the tracing option is actually a setting of the TestStand engine, but I want to implement it within my sequence.
Please let me know if this is doable. If yes, what will be the best approach?

Depends on why you want to disable tracing. One of these might work for you:
1) Lock the file as not viewable.
2) Set RunState.Tracing to false as the first step in your sequence (still get the first trace message for the sequence though)
3) On sequence calls to the sequence set the sequence call trace setting to disabled. (not enforced though).

Table and Work Area option

Using se16, I am opening a certain database table and it is asking me for the "work area".
What I would like to do is, I want to see the data of VN_TNAPR (or any table) regardless of work area and all at the same time on one screen/table. I have lots of table that ask for that work area.
How to solve this? Any tcode?

How to set the encoding of an XML-document

I need to change the encoding of an xml-document.
When I convert the document into a string, UTF-8
is used, I want to use ISO-8859-1.

use this in your identity transform:
transformer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.ENCODING, "ISO-8859-1");

PL/SQL: Setting the Encoding does not work

I'm traying to create my XML document in PL/SQL but the method
setCharset('ISO-8859-1')
does not work and is ignored. it works only with
setCharset('UTF8').
Does anybody know why??? Is this a bug??

Hello. I would like to know if there's a way to set one Finder / folder view setup (Show View Options) across every folder and sub-folder on OSX?
I don't like having to manually set up the "view options" for each and every folder from scratch .. I have 1 setup / template that I like and would like to apply it across the board to every folder that I ever open on OSX..
Is this possible?

At the bottom of the window that opens in Show View Options there should be a button that enables you to make the current settings the default.

How to set the Xml Encoding ISO-8859-1 to Transformer or DOMSource

I have a xml string and it already contains an xml declaration with encoding="ISO-8859-1". (In my real product, since some of the element/attribute value contains a Spanish character, I need to use this encoding instead of UTF-8.) Also, in my program, I need to add more attributes or manipulate the xml string dynamically, so I create a DOM Document object for that. And, then, I use Transformer to convert this Document to a stream.
My problme is: Firstly, once converted through the Transformer, the xml encoding changed to default UTF-8, Secondly, I wanted to check whether the DOM Document created with the xml string maintains the Xml Encoding of ISO-8859-1 or not. So, I called Document.getXmlEncoding(), but it is throwing a runtime error - unknown method.
Is there any way I can maintain the original Xml Encoding of ISO-8859-1 when I use either the DOMSource or Transformer? I am using JDK1.5.0-12.
Following is my sample program you can use.
I would appreciate any help, because so far, I cannot find any answer to this using the JDK documentation at all.

Thanks DrClap for your answer. With your information, I rewrote the sample program as in the following, and it works well now as I intended! About the UTF-8 and Spanish charaters, I think you are right. It looks like there can be many factors involved on this subject though - for example, the real character sets used to create an xml document, and the xml encoding information declared will matter. The special character I had a trouble was u00F3, and somehow, I found out that Sax Parser or even Document Builder parser does not like this character when encoding is set to "UTF-8" in the Xml document. My sample program below may not be a perfect example, but if you replaces ISO-8859-1 with UTF-8, and not setting the encoding property to the transfermer, you may notice that the special character in my example is broken in Test1 and Test2. In my sample, I decided to use ByteArrayInputStream instead of StringBufferInpuptStream because the documentation says StringBufferInputStream may have a problem with converting characters into bytes.

About the working area...

Hello everyone!!! I'm quite new here if you've never seen me
before...I'd be thankful if one of you answer my question...
I set up my working area as 550x440 pixels, but at the moment
I run the SWF it shows all the objects as their original size, not
only what I placed into the "white" working area...I mean, the
canvas...
After all I placed a mask to the entire animation and my
problem seemed to be solved but soon after I realized that this
mask slows down many frames of the animation I don't know why....Is
there another solution for that problem??? Because when I don't use
the mask everything runs very well but the problem of the objects
size is still there...

Edit > Preferences > General - Test movie - uncheck
open in tabs
Also, that is for testing only, you don't need to mask the
stage. When you
put it on a web site, or make a projector, the stage size is
honored and
anything outside of it will be clipped as you'd expect.
