Setting the leading

Hi I am having trouble with setting the leading in my new Adobe Elements 10 I type and try to enter on a new line but it is neally at the bottom of the page and when I go to reset the leading it only moves it a fraction or does not move it at all.

Try resetting the text tool by clicking on the small downturned arrow almost all the way on the left hand side of the tool options bar when you have the text tool selected.
Choose Reset Tool from in the popup menu.

How to set the notifications structure form a form in IDM 8.0.0.5

we are using Identity Manager 8.0.0.5 and we are trying to set the notifications structure which is evaluated in the Create User and Update User workflow from within our Tabbed User Form and from a ActivveSync Form.
We had no success in either case so far.
Any ideas on how to do this?
What we want to achieve is send additional notifications if certain attribute conditions are met.

A text frame in text is an anchored or inline item, so you either have to set the leading of the parent character or use the anchored options of the frames.

Table - Automatic scroll on changing the lead selection

Hi @ all,
I´ve got two tables and I want to add an entry from tab1 to tab2 if it is not existing in tab2. In case of an existing entry in tab2, the lead selection will be set on the entry in tab2 to show the entry. My Problem is the behaviour of the scroll bar in tab2. I need something like automatic scrolling to the lead selection of the table. Is that possible?

Hi Armin,
you can the use the proterty "First visible row" of the table.
create one attribute of type WDy_BOOLEAN and bind it to the "First visible row" of the table.
as soon as you set the lead selection,get its index and set it to the attributr that is( property "First visible row").
once this property is set , scrolling is done automatically and lead selected row is visible as first row.

Restrict user not to modify the lead when status is CLOSED

Hi,
Is it possible to configure the system not to allow any modifications to the lead once the status is set to CLOSED (one of the user status)?

This is little interesting!
Now Im not able to set the REASON though we havent saved the lead
Initially problem didn't get solved as suggested. i.e., Business Transaction Control -> No Change Allowed (Set Influence to Allowed)
I don't know why?
But i'm able to solve by setting LNCH (No Change Allowed) for status Closed in User Status Profile (last column in the table i.e., Trans).
But now because of these settings as soon as i change the lead status to CLOSED before setting a reason it self system is internally making the lead 'transferred' and hence not saving the REASON.
How to configure the lead in such a way that: When i set the lead status CLOSED, i should be able to set the REASON for the corresponding status and should be able to save now. From next time onwards system should not allow user to edit the lead as the status is CLOSED.
Please suggest whether its possible with configuration. If not then i want to know why SAP reverting back the changes we are doing for lead "after setting status to CLOSED and before clicking on SAVE".

Restoring the iPod will do nothing to his iPhone.
When you restore it wipes the iPod clean no matter what computer you use.
The only plus to doing it form your home computer is if you have a backup stored there, then you can restore from the backup once it's done wiping.
If you are away form your home computer, go ahead and use the computer you have to restore it, then when you get home, you can restore form any backup you may find. You can use this to help you do that when you get there: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766

I have already checked "Initialisation Lead Selection" property . I have faced the same problem in another view also there it got solved by changing the cardinality. In this case, I had tried both cardinality and Lead selection property but nothing is working.

How can you change the leading in a fillable forms in the multi-line setting?

I am creating multiple pdf files with check boxes, single text boxes and multi-line. On the form, I have multiple lines where the person will be able to type a description but I can't figure out how to change the leading so that when they do the fillable part, the copy will sit on the printed lines. Does anyone know how to do this, besides with the Typewriter tool, because that tool makes the rest of the document's fillable boxes unusable.

Try making a new PDF from a blank page and add a couple of text fields. Save and reopen. You'll get a purple box at the top of the page that says there are form fields to be filled. If anyone needs more help they are in trouble. Again if you must have the lines you need to do some experiments with a text box and see what the leading is in Acrobat for the size of the text you are inputting and then adjust your lines to match, not the other way around. You have no control over the leading, just the font size.

Setting the value of a single attribute for multiple line items

everything is working fine but now the problem is couple of fields that I have in wa_kblp are with different names in bseg table and hence they are not updating... I tried putting the following logic within the loop :

but it's only setting the value of the first line item and not working for the multiple line items, can you please tell me how can do this?

I tried your code and it worked fine but after I put this code I am getting another issue. within the loop I had a code to make the fields non modifiable on the screen and was working fine but now what's happening is it's making the all the lines uneditable except the one with data on it (which is completely opposite), this is what I have coded:

How do I set the number of simultaneous downloads? Per server?

iTunes always tries to download 3 podcasts at once, which leads to timeouts on podcast servers that limit the number of connections. That means I'm either missing episodes or else I need to manually babysit iTunes.
Is there a way to set the number of simultaneous downloads? I'm using XP.

You can turn simultaneous downloads off. In the downloads window, at the lower left. Also, while things are downloading, you can pause all but one or two.

How to set the value of an array element (not the complete array) by using a reference?

My situation is that I have an array of clusters on the front panel. Each element is used for a particular test setup, so if the array size is three, it means we have three identical test setups that can be used. The cluster contains two string controls and a button: 'device ID' string, 'start' button and 'status' string.
In order to keep the diagrams simple, I would like to use a reference to the array as input into a subvi. This subvi will then modify a particular element in the array (i.e. set the 'status' string).
The first problem I encounter is that I can not select an array element to write to by using the reference. I have tried setting the 'Selection s
tart[]' and 'Selection size[]' properties and then querying the 'Array element' to get the proper element.
If I do this, the VI always seems to write to the element which the user has selected (i.e. the element that contains the cursor) instead of the one I am trying to select. I also have not found any other possible use for the 'Selection' properties, so I wonder if I am doing something wrong.
Of course I can use the 'value' property to get all elements, and then use the replace array element with an index value, but this defeats the purpose of leaving all other elements untouched.
I had hoped to use this method specifically to avoid overwriting other array elements (such as happens with the replace array element) because the user might be modifying the second array element while I want to modify the first.
My current solution is to split the array into two arrays: one control and one indicator (I guess that's really how it should be done ;-) but I'd still like to know ho
w to change a single element in an array without affecting the others by using a reference in case I can use it elsewhere.

It isn't possible to get a reference to a particular element within an
array. There is only one reference to the one control that represents
all elements in the array.
While it may seem better to use references to update
an element within
an array, it shouldn't really be necessary, and it can also lead to
race conditions. If you write to an element that has the
possibility of the user changing, whether you write with a local, a
reference, or any other means, there is a race condition between the
diagram and the user. LV will help with this to a certain extent,
especially for controls that take awhile to edit like ones that use
the keyboard. In these cases, if the user has already started entering
text, it will not be overwritten by the new value unless the key focus
is taken away from the control first. It is similar when moving a slider
or other value changes using the mouse. LV will write to the other values,
but will not rip the slider out of the user's hand.
To completely avoid race conditions, you can split the array into user
fields and indicators that are located underneath them. Or, if some
controls act as both, you can do like Excel. You don't directly type
into the cell. You choose w
hich cell to edit, but you modify another
location. When the edit is completed, it is incorporated into the
display so that it is never lost.

How to set the First Line of Table UI in Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi Team,
I have a scenario where I'm displaying two Table controls one below the other. When a line is selected in the first(Top) table, I have a supply function(Event) and I fill the second(bottom) table. Everything works fine till here.
The problem starts when I scroll the bottom table. Lets assume that I'm at line 20 of the second table and I press the lead selection to select another line on the first table. Here the second table is filled with new data but it is automatically scrolled to line 20. My questions:
1) Do I have to set some specific property of the second table? If yes, which one and where should I set it (In the supply function? I already have the "visibleRowCount" set to "10")
2) How do I dynamically get access to the Table Control properties?

I did set the "selectionMode" to "Auto". I don't understand where In supply function I have to set lead selection of nested node to first element. Please elaborate on this. Are you talking about the context attribute bound to the second table? OR do I have to change the Importing parameters "Node" and "Parent_Element" of my supply function?

HT5639 I am attempting to install windows 7 ultimate on a mid2012 production macbook pro using Bootcamp 5 in Mountain Lion. Whenever I set the partition size and tell it to continue, the program quits unexpectedly. I have done this about 5 times now. Sugg

The lead-in above pretty much states the problem. I am attempting to install Windows 7 from a disk, but that is not the issue. Boot Camp 5 just quits and reopens. I then repeat. Help.

I am about to run specialized GIS software that may or may not need the full machine resources. I am an attorney who uses QuickBooks for my accounting. The Mac version does not do as much as the Windows version. This is from both Apple and Quick Books professionals. I am using Parallels Desktop version 8 at this time. It does not support QuickBooks Windows version per Parallels. Any other questions? I am a highly competent PC user who is new to Macs. I am entitled to my own configuration choices. That said, I know when I need help which is now.
As to the free space issue I have 665.18 GB free space out of 749.3 GB on the drive. I am not trying to run the 32 bit version. I know that it requires the 64 bit version. Besides, it does not get that far in the process. As I said Boot Camp asssitant terminates unexpectedly as soon as you hit the continue button after setting the partition size. Therefore I conclude that it does not have a chance to see which version of Windows that I am using. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit version in the virtual engine (to use Parallels speak), but again Boot Camp would not see that since it is not running. It can't run at the momenet because Apple just installed a new hard drive and I have just restored the data from TIme Machine and Parallels needs reactivated, which I have not done yet deliberatley. With all of this addtiional information do you have any further suggestions? Thanks for your time and interest my issue.

Is there any danger in setting the system date/time to a prior date?

We are dealing with some software digital certificate expiration issues. Until the developer gets them fixed, the only way we can use the software is to set the date/time preferences to a date before the certificate expired. Some users are concerned that this will spell catastrophe for their systems because Unix/Linux based things don't like haivng their dates messed with. I maintain that the only things that would be affected are the date/time stamp on files they save while the settings are changed, possibly any iCal events created during the change (which can be overwritten by the user), and that if they use Time Machine the backups might not be dated correctly (and for that reason I've suggested they shut Time Machine off while their date is changed). I just don't believe it will lead to massive system failure. Who is correct?

Yes you will have issus with DHCP leases/Internet and your router if your time and date isn't current.
Offline you can do what you want. Better to get a temporary workaround from the developer to hold you over.

How to set the cardinality property as 1..n for a dynamically created node

the cardinality property of the node should be 0..n or 1..n,
But i could not set the property of the dynamically created context node to 0..n ...
can any body suggest me..

you are getting the exception because of cardinality property.
i.e   true,false and
you are trying to add morethan one element.
so,if you want to add morethan one than one element you have to set the cardinality property to true,true (or) false,true.
In your code do the following modification for changing the cardinality.
For 0..n -->false,true
      1..n-->true,true
