Setting up 2 App-V Servers

Hi there
I'm currently planning our App-V 5 Environment in our company. My goal is to have 2 mangement / publishing servers with a Netscaler in front of it, loadbalancing the management and publishing website. The AppVManagement Database will be stored on our SQL
Cluster. So the environment should be fault tolerant.
However, i actually don't find any information about how to install the two servers. What i found out, is that i need to setup the database on the cluster manually (http://blogs.technet.com/b/appv/archive/2013/05/06/how-to-install-the-app-v-5-0-database-and-management-server-using-sql-scripts-on-the-db.aspx)
Do i simply need to add both of my App-V servers to my Database-Logins and run the setup for management and publishing server equally on both of my servers pointing to the database?
Also on the setup you need to specify a management server for the publishing service. I think in my scenario i will take the local management server on the same server?
The last question that i have is about the IIS Prerequisites (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj713458.aspx). The App-V Servers are running on Server 2012 R2. In the technet
article it said to add ASP.NET / .NET Extensibility to IIS. On Server 2012 i have the choice to add ASP.NET 4.5 / 3.5 and .NET Extensibility 4.5 / 3.5
Does App-V Server requires .NET 3.5 Features?

Hi,
for the database permissions you should create a group that contains both App-V server's machine accounts (and yes, you have to use the scripts, and you have to adjust them beforehand).
During installation of each App-V server you are asked to point to an exisiting database (your cluster): This tells the Management Servers where they should connect to.
For the Publishing Servers the list is stored in the database. So the installation wizard will perhaps add 'server01' automatically during installation of Server01, and the wizard on Server02 wioll add Server02.
Either way you should validate after the installation that both Publishing Servers are entered into the database. You can use the 'Server' node/icon in the Management Console.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think you've to install Dot.Net 3.5 as well

1) I am trying to install a Finance Planning application so that it runs on one Planning Web Server and the other operations Planning application on another Planning 9.3.1 web server. Is that possilbe?

What I suggest is that you try to pair your apple ID with you company ipad and see if it works.
Here is why::
I believe that the Apple rules let you. They are something like:
-- for a shared iDevice, you may put the app on one device
-- for a device you use exclisively, you may put the app on five (or some number) of iDevices
I'm not lawyer, so how you interpred this is a question.
Now, you need to figure out how to do this.
In the past at least, apple used this terminalogy.
    Personal
    Institution
    Layered. combines personal & institution.
It depends on how your company has configured the iPad.
I have read where you can have upto three apple id per device.

my printer apps are working fine, but when I pull up the coupon app (on the printer) it tells me to customize web content on the APPs website at hpeprinter,com. I can't find the place on the website to set up the app. I know it needs a zipcode...but can't find where to put it in on the site. I was logged in when looking for the set up

i want to set up an app store account without a credit card and it shows on the help site online an option to set up with none but on my phone it only shows visa mastercard and amex i already updated the software to the 5.0.1

Error message when starting - Set Config. App.

New member here! I have searched an looked at these forums for some time but only now joined. Should have done it before.
Operating system is MS XP Pro,
Printer involved is HP LaserJet 1150
Computer is a Fujitsu LIfebook that is used in several field offices and at home.
On start or re-start, the final action is a screen message stating "Set Config. App. has encountered an error and needs to close". This is a Microsoft message and has the option to send/don't send an error message.
Sending the error message then clicking the more information button brings up a screen stating the error is in a printer driver with links to HP support.
This is an irritant rather than a problem because selecting "don't send" closes the screen and if I do nothing all programs work ok and the little message screen stays on bottom. The printer works fine.
With some time on hand, and not knowing which HP printer was causing the message, I uninstalled all printers and begin a re-install. I have the disk for the LaserJet 1150 which has an earlier driver. I downloaded the latest (2004) dirver and there was the error message still.
The only related thing I can think of is that HP Image Zone Express cannot be un-installed in any way. Using Control Panel - Add/Remove or using an un-installer program given to me by HP Chat Rep "Ariel". It never un-installed so when I re-installed the 1150, the old IZE was there to be over written.
I hope this is not to long, just trying to make it clear.
I will appriecate any help, as mentioned it is an irritant rather than an operational block.

If you tell the error screen to go ahead and send it then it will give a message to allow you to view the information that will be sent. Open this file and see which program of .dll file is causing the error, this may help to determine which driver is at fault.
Actaully sending the error report will also help MIcrosoft identify the problem and feed that information back to the company responsible for the issue.

Part of the problem is concerned with international copyright laws.

"Set as default app" not working

I have the option of which application to use when doing certain things on my Q10. It gives me the option to "Set as default app" my selection. I check the check box and make my selection. Next time it asks the same thing with the list of applications to choose from. In Settings->App Manager->Default Apps it shows my selection too but the OS is not automatically using my selection. It is asking me ach time as I said. Does anyone know how to fix this so it works properly?

I've noticed the same thing. And even if the setting does stick it often has to be reset after a reboot. It appears that option is a "work in progress"

System keeps re-setting the default app to Preview for iWork files.

I've scoured the internet for a solution to this problem, but can't find one. The problem applies to Numbers, Pages and Keynote, and I am putting this post in the forum for each. I shall explain it using a Numbers file as an example.
For three or four years, I've had a file that was created in Numbers to be opened in Numbers; it's a spreadsheet that I update with every transaction of my bank account.
Until about a week ago, the file would always open in Numbers, its default application, and then the file kept opening in Preview instead of in Numbers. I checked the 'Get Info' panel and found that its default application was Preview. This was strange, so I changed it to Numbers. When I opened the file the next day, it again opened in Preview, and I found again that Preview was set as its default app. This time, I set Numbers as the default app by right-clicking on the file, selecting 'Open With', and Numbers wasn't on the list, so I went to 'Other...', and in the 'Choose Application' window, navigated to the Numbers app, selected it and activated the 'Always Open With' option.
As you would expect, the file then opens in Numbers. However, whenever the computer has been off and I have logged in again, the default app for the file has reverted to Preview.
The only thing I can think of that might have a bearing on this problem is a recent App Store purchase. I bought Numbers on an iWork '09 disk back in 2008/9, but about a week ago decided to uninstall the iWork apps with AppZapper and buy them from the App Store (I just like to have the App Store as the source of my apps, and I had some money to spare). I can’t see why this would cause the problem, but the installation of these apps and the start of the problem seem to co-incide.
I wondered if the problem could be solved by re-creating my spreadsheet in a new Numbers file, so I opened Numbers, selected a blank worksheet and pasted the spreadsheet from the original file into this new one, but it made no difference: the next time I logged into my system, Preview was the default app for the new file as well. The problem persists even with new files created in Numbers, Pages or Keynote that are unconnected with older files and after the App Store purchases.
I would be grateful for any advice the community can offer.

I followed your advice and created another user account, and in that one, Numbers, not Preview, was the default app for my Numbers file. Logging back into my original account, I deleted the com.apple.LaunchServices.plist file, and for good measure, the com.apple.LaunchServices.plist.lockfile as well, and reset Numbers as the default app for my Numbers file.
I restarted the system, but found that Preview was now the default app for the file. Perhaps the .plist file needed a second restarting of the system, so I set the default app for the file to Numbers again. I also put Pages, Numbers and Keynote into a new folder called iWork '09, as they used to be before I replaced my shop-bought iWork disk installations with the same apps bought form the App Store. I don't know if this made a difference. I restarted the system and, this time, the default app was Numbers.
Pages and Keynote are also now the default apps for files created by them.

Ever since updating to kitkat, I keep getting asked to "Set Default SMS App." I have - to Messages. I don't want to use Hangouts or Message - how do I get it to stop asking me after I receive every text?

Is it occurring only when you launch messages from Extreme Power Saving mode, or from the standard phone mode too?

How do i set up generated app password for gmail

Hi. I don't see an option for setting up generated app passwords for my gmail accounts on the iPad settings menu. (yahoo has a line for password on this screen)
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling (thinking maybe I should use the password on installing), but that doesn't work.

if you don't setup the mail account on your ipad but just sync mails from your computer to the ipad, I think it would display like that
