Setting up a family iCloud acct

My wife has set up an iCloud account and i'd like to join this, and create a family cloud account. How do I do this?

If she deletes your account, any photos in your photostream album will be removed from her device, her own photos in camera roll or other albums will not. If there are any photos in your photostream album she wants, there are 2 options available to her:
Copy those photos to her camera roll before deleting your account.
Create a shared photostream album yourself and share it with her.

Log in difficulties for icloud acct set up for a child

I set up an icloud acct for my under-13 child -- so that we can use Family Sharing. Thought it was successful, but now can't login or retrieve pw. Think maybe I miss-keyed the bday -who knows - but is there a way to retrieve it? Won't accept my or my daughter's bday in order to get to security ?s. When I use the email option, nothing comes to me. (I was under the impression, this would somehow link to my acct - for this purpose - since it didn't ask for any other recovery info.) Any advice out there??

It sounds like you are trying to reet the password for your childs account but the email doesn't seem to be coming through. It should come to the email that was setup for them to use, and if you check that and still don't see it, you should use the information in the following article to help locate it, named:

To change the iCloud account on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone. When you delete the account you will be given the option to either keep or delete the iCloud data from your phone. This also, only deletes the account and the iCloud data from your phone, not from iCloud. Your husband's phone won't be effected by this. Then, to create a separate account, sign back in with a different Apple ID (you can continue to share the same ID for iTunes).
If you have any photo stream photos that you want to keep on the phone, save them to your camera roll before deleting the account.
If you're sharing the same ID for iMessage and FaceTime you'll end up getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls. To prevent this, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your new iCloud ID. Then do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.

You will need the previous owner's Apple ID and Password to:
1. Turn off Find My iPhone
2. Erase device
3. Reactivate device

Oops my bad...I see that during my troubleshooting I inadvertently left Ringtones unchecked in iTunes.

If you turned off Contacts wouldnt that mean that the Contacts would no longer be backed up to iCloud as well? That would make it a pain when upgrading a phone to not easily pull contacts back down.

Well, you can go to Manage your Apple ID and change the password if you can answer the Security Questions:

If you cannot remember the Security Questions you can contact iTunes Support to reset them for you:
New iTunes Support - US and ww
Once you get your password reset and you can access your account info on Manage your Apple ID, you can change your ID. You won't be able to use the same email address that you are using for the new ID unless you change that one to something else. But, if you can get back into your old ID and change it to a new email address, then you can go on using that old ID, and just manually move the iCloud stuff you added to your new ID back onto the old one. Most of the stuff (like Contacts, Calendar, Notes) can be added by logging onto https://www.icloud.com on your Mac and doing it that way (it is a lot simpler when you have an actual keyboard in my opinion)

I have a PC computer and an i-phone 4S. I set up an i-tunes acct online w/ icloud. After a recent update my PC started receiving an error message on start up. It says "AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found". It also says, " The procedure entry point smlTextreaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll". I click on OK and it moves on. It doesn't seem to affect my computer, but it's annoying. Any ideas on correcting this?

UPDATE - (Made a second post so it'd be clearer)
I uninstalled Office 2003, then iTunes, then all of the associated software (Mobile Device Support, Apple Update, Quicktime, EVERYTHING)
Reinstalled Office 2003, then Office 2003's Service Pack 3, then all Microsoft Updates for Office 2003. Then I configured a blank Outlook profile, no data other than the IMAP info for my .Mac/Me account. Then I downloaded (didn't used my existing copy) of iTunes 7.7 and reinstalled. Sync'd phone. Changed MobileMe settings. Told it to sync contacts and calendar with Outlook. It warned me because it was the first sync. Told it to take ALL of the MobileMe data and replace the data on the computer (which was blank.) NOTHING showed up in Outlook. When I tell it to sync Contacts with the Windows Address Book, it works fine.
In Conclusion, it still won't sync with Outlook, when it's set to Sync with Outlook I still get the annoying MAPI errors. So I switched to to Sync the Contacts with the Windows Address Book, and I'm backing up my WAB file now with my nightly backups.
I suppose we'll see if it gets fixed when I format/reinstall on Vista Ultimate in the next month or two. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open and willing to try them.
On a completely unproductive note: Despite my love for Exchange, I hate MAPI.

I don't know what the limit is for the number of email accounts that can be accessed with the iPad's Mail app if there is a limit, but it is definitely more than one email account.
Add the MobileMe account - at Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, select Add Account. Select MobileMe and follow the prompts.

If you only have iCloud's basic, free 5 GBs of storage, if you had more than this on your iPad, chances are high that your backups to iCloud weren't a complete iPad backup, anyhow. And since this has been full for 23 weeks means that you may end up only retrieving a fraction of your current data that you had on your iPad, if what you had on your iCloud backup contained anything that may still have been on your iPad.
This is just one of the reasons I do not like Cloud storage services.
The best and most reliable backup of your iPad is to use a computer with Apple iTunes installed on it and connect your iPad to your computer and let iTunes syc and backup all of your iPad's data.
I an afraid without a clear, comprehensive backup, whatever is saved to your iCloud account is all you are going to be able to retrieve.
If you have purchased anything from IOS App Store and/or iTunes on your iPad, all of iTunes and iOS App Store purchases will have to be redownload and reinstalled.
You won't get charged, again, for the purchases you had already made.

Can I set-up Messages on Mac to handle multiple iCloud accts?

I have Messages on my iphone set-up to work with both my phone number and icloud apple ID email so I can send/receive messages on both my phone and mac.
My wife shares the same mac, and we would like to add her acct so she too can send/receive from this machine in addition to her iphone.
When I go to Messages prefs (on the mac) to add an acct, the account types available include AIM, Jabber, Google Talk or Yahoo. I would expect to see an iCloud option or something Apple specific.
Is there a way to add a second iCloud acct to Messages?

HI,
You can only have one iMessages Account at once. (the same for the Bonjour Option).
On the iPhone you added the Apple ID that you used in Messages on the Mac.
This would have given you the option to Send and Receive on either the Mac or iPhone from the iPhone Number and the Apple ID.
You then added the extra email and it gets added to the other device.
You can add it as an extra email on both the iPhone and the Mac version.
You could...
Add her iPhone Number and email as extras to the iMessages set up (add the current Apple ID in the Mac version to her iPhone then add the other as extras).
However this does mean that everyone gets everyone else's Messages.
Or...
You create her a Mac User Account on the Mac.
This would allow her to maintain ans sync via iCloud her own Contacts list. (Using your iCloud ID she could sync the current Contacts List)
Messages does not need to use an iCloud ID, just an Apple one that has been verified.
Then her Apple ID and iPhone link up in iMessages would be separate from yours.

All of my apple items are registered to iCloud using one account. Then when I updated my phone to iOS 6, it automatically registered my phone to iCloud using my old mobile me email. If you want to change iCloud accounts and keep your data go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn all data you are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on your iPhone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, set up a new iCloud account (or sign into your other existing iCloud account) using your other ID, then turn syncing for your data (contacts, etc.) back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to your new account.

Husband and wife, two iPhones, an iMac, and a Macbook pro. How do you set-up email in iCloud? We want two @icloud.com addresses and would prefer two separate calenders. We could share an address book.

It is always good practice to have separate logins if more than one person is using a computer. This allows to have separate e-mail accounts, calendars etc. and share only required information.
iCloud services are part of OS X Mountain Lion, therefore you would loose comfort as well as part of functionality if you need to switch/reconfigure iCloud accounts every time you need to access your personal information.
