Setting up bordermanager vpn in the same tree

Hi,
I want to install a bordermanager 3.9 slave vpn server in the same tree to
place it later to a remote office, so I did what was in Craig's book:
Configured an private ipaddress on the server, that contained the master
replica's and the server that contained the CA. (same subnet as the new
bordermanager)
I installed the new server succesfully in a separate ou. Also installed
bordermanager 3.9 on it. Made this ou a partition.
I assume I need to add a replica of this new OU (partition) to the new
server, and that it must be the master (for licensing issues)? and that I
also need to add r/w replica's to the new server of the partition for
SLPscopes and the root partition? My question is if I add the replica's, do
all my servers then have a communication problem, because they try to
contact this new server, but they can't? (only the master and ca server can
at this moment, because they are in the same subnet). Or is this not the
case?
Is this all and can then the server safely be shipped or are there some
important things to check before I ship the server?
master replica : nw65sp7, edir873
ca : nw65sp5, edir873
mastervpnserver : nw65sp7, bm385
new server : nw65sp7, edir882, bm391
Thanks,
Michael

You don't HAVE to have replicas on the BM servers other than one which
holds the server itself. That said, it can certainly help to have
other servers.
If your slave server cannot communicate with the other servers in the
tree, then your routing setup is incomplete. If you tried to add
another replica to the slave, my guess is that the add would not
complete, unless the master of the replica ring was the master VPN
server (and even then I'm not sure the replica would turn on).
But if you have the VPN up, and basic communications working, you
should be able to put the slave in the remote location and have
everything work. I'd look closely at why routing packets is not
working. It *should* work, unless you already have routing to that
remote subnet address set up.
Perhaps I'm not understanding what you've done there, and I'm thinking
this is more complex than it is. If you have a new subnet on the new
BM server, and an address from that subnet added as a second binding on
the BM master (old) server, then every server in the tree should be
able to communicate with the new server, as long as packets make it to
the old server. This may require some static routes on remote subnets
(be careful).
It is possible to completely emulate the remote site such that the BMgr
server is able to talk to the new server via a VPN connection. This
configuration gets a bit complicated to configure on the master BMgr
side, and usually has a limitation that other slave servers cannot talk
to the new slave in a fully-meshed VPN. But they will once the new
server is put in place at the remote location with the (non-emulated)
public IP address connected to the Internet.

Phone A = phone with information you want duplicated
Phone B = phone that you want to copy from A
    Backup Phone A.
Wipe Phone B using these instructions. What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Phone B should be on the 'Hello' screen. Do not swipe it. Launch iTunes. Plug in Phone B.
When iTunes asks if you want to set up as new phone or restore from backup, choose restore from backup of Phone A.
After this setup, any changes to one phone (i.e. adding a contact, downloading an app) will have to be manually duplicated on the second phone, if that is your desire). Making changes to one phone will not affect the other after setup.

  • What is the best way to set up multiple devices in the same household?

Our family has a bunch of devices (phones, pads, pods) all set up under the same appleID.  The idea was to be able to share iTunes content among devices.  The problem is that there is personalized data merging between devices (address book, apps, etc).  Is there a way to set up multiple devices under the same account while maintaining their own identity so that Each user can have their own apps, addresses, etc without having to sift through everyone else's stuff?

Continue to share your iTunes ID, but use different IDs for other services such as FaceTime, iMessage and iCloud.  (When you share the same iCloud account across multiple devices, any synced data is merged and the merged list appears on all devices sharing the account.)
    To change the ID For:
iMessage, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive (Receive At in iOS 5), tap the ID sign out, sign back in using the other ID.
FaceTime, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.
iCloud, you'll have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account.  Before deleting the account, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll or you will lose them.  To do this, open the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.  Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On [iDevice].  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.  Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want in each account (such as deleting the other person's contacts from your account, and vice versa).

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I can use 2 sets of bluetooth headphones at the same time with the Ipad?
It is so my children can watch a film or listen to music together.
    Thanks

    No

  • Can I pair and use more than one set of bluetooth speakers at the same time on my ipod touch 4.0

can I pair and use more than one set of bluetooth speakers at the same time on my ipod touch 4.0 or Iphone 4s or Ipad 2?

You can only connect to one device at a time using Bluetooth, See article below for more information.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1664
While your iOS device can maintain multiple pairing records, it can only connect to one headset or hands-free device at a time. This prevents your iOS device from sending your data to the wrong Bluetooth accessory.

  • Can i set up my ipad in the same itouch account?

can i set my new ipad in the same account/place where i currently have my itouch set up? will this affect what i currently have in my itouch or will it see the difference when i connect my ipad and itouch? thank you

You can use the same account and iTunes library with both - iTunes will recognise that it's a different device and you can then chose what to sync or not to sync. I use my iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch on the same computer without any problem.

  • Dynamically Set Subreport Background Color to the Same Value as Main Report Background Color

I have a report that contains a subreport.  The main report has groupings in it.  I am dynamically setting the background color of the group rows based on an expression.  That part is working fine.  The problem that I am having is that
I don't know how to get the subreport to "inherit" the background color of the grouping that holds it.
Basically, I have different row shadings on my report differentiating the groupings except for the rows where the subreport shows.
How do I go about setting the subreport background color to equal it's contaiing grouping's background color?  Thanks in advance for any and all assistance provided.

The parameter method given by gpshukla will send the info to the subreport, but you don't need the color parameter in the main report, only the subreport. The trick is in setting the value of that parameter.
Right-click the cell with the embedded subreport, you can select subreport properties.
Select Parameters and add a parameter.
The name column is the name of the parameter in the subreport (color) and value is the value to set it to.
Set name to "color" (no quotes).
Set Value to the same expression used to set the background color for the row.
In the subreport, click the design surface to select the report (not header or footer).
In the properties pane, select background color and choose expression from the dropdown.
Type =Parameters!color.Value into the expression builder.
This will work assuming that background color in the main report row will not change without also refreshing the subreport.

  • Same set of Records not in the same Data package of the extractor

    Hi All,
I have got one senario. While extracting the records from the ECC based on some condition I want to add some more records in to ECC. To be more clear based on some condition I want to add addiional lines of data by gving APPEND C_T_DATA.
    For eg.
I have  a set of records with same company code, same contract same delivery leg and different pricing leg.
If delivery leg and pricing leg is 1 then I want to add one line of record.
There will be several records with the same company code contract delivery leg and pricing leg. In the extraction logic I will extract with the following command i_t_data [] = c_t_data [], then sort with company code, contract delivery and pricing leg. then Delete duplicate with adjustcent..command...to get one record, based on this record with some condition I will populate a new line of record what my business neeeds.
    My concern is
if the same set of records over shoot the datapackage size how to handle this. Is there any option.
My data package size is 50,000. Suppose I get a same set of records ie same company code, contract delivery leg and pricing leg as 49999 th record. Suppose there are 10 records with the same characteristics the extraction will hapen in 2 data packages then delete dplicate and the above logic will get wrong. How I can handle this secnaio. Whether Delta enabled function module help me to tackle this. I want to do it only in Extraction. as Data source enhancement.

    Hi,
You will have to do the enhancement of the data source.
    Please follow the below link.
You can write your logic to add the additional records in the case statement for your data source.

Hope this will solve your issue.

  • HT204053 how do i set up different devices on the same apple Id without merging the contacts from the separate phones

can i set up multiple iphones on the cloud without merging all contacts?

Not if they are all syncing contacts with the shared account.  You could allow them to merge, then create separate groups for each person's contacts on icloud.com.  Then each person can adjust their settings to only show the group that their contacts belong to and hide the rest.
Another option is to keep the devices on the same shared primary account, and add different secondary account to each person's devices by going to Setings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud and enter a separate ID.  Then each person can turn on contacts syncing in their secondary account and leave contacts syncing turned off in the shared primary account (in Settings>iCloud).

  • Using the same correlation set to multiple instances of the same process

    Hi all,
Assuming that I have a Purchase Order with multiple items and I have a BPEL process that is triggered for each item.
When the Purchase Order is cancelled by the customer, I want to cancel all BPEL process that is still running. I'm using SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.
My first attempt was to use an event handler associated to a cancellation operation, but I couldn't do this because when the second BPEL instance was started, a conflictingReceive BPEL Fault is triggered. This occurs because BPEL can't have more than one active receive/on message using the same correlation set.
Another way to do this is using a different correlation set for each instance (somethig like a composite key - Purchase Order ID + Item ID, i.e), but in this way I need to know all composite key in advance and send one message to each instance specifically.
Anyone have any suggestion of how to cancel more then one instance of the same BPEL process using Event or a generic way that does not need to send one message for each instance?
Events work very well to start more then one BPEL process but does not work well to receive an intermediate message during process execution because in this case we need correlation set to associate the event with the correct instance and BPEL does not support more then one instance of the same BPEL process waiting for the same correlation set.
Any suggestion will be very welcome.
    Thanks in advance,
    Rafael

    Never mind. I got it.
I put the iisforward.dll and .ini is a seperate folder, and edited the iisproxy.ini's to include the portnumber like this. And I changed the hostheaders in IIS to Site1, Site2 etc
    vhost1=Site1:80
    Site1:80=C:\Sites\Site1\iisproxy.ini
    vhost2=Site2:80
    Site2:80=C:\Sites\Site2\iisproxy.ini

  • How to set up 2 agreements for the same From,To,DocType,Version in B2B11g

    Hi
I am having an issue in configuring more than one agreement for the same DocType, Version, From and To partner in Oracle B2B11g.
When I click "Valid" button on the second agreement it errors out saying duplicate agreement is found for the same DocType, Version, From and TO partners.
Is there any mechanism to over ride this?
We need to have multiple agreements created for the same To Partner, From Partner, Doc Type and Version. Otherwise we will end up creating multiple partners which is a real pain.
Multiple agreements are required because we have to set up different Interchange and Group IDs for each transaction.

You can not have two agreements for same From TP,To TP,DocType & DocType revision combination in B2B 11g.
Multiple agreements are required because we have to set up different Interchange and Group IDs for each transactionIs this requirement for outbound or inbound? You may send Internal Properties from back-end to override envelope parameters in Oracle B2B in case of outbound -
B2B 11G Outbound EDI Envelope Override
http://www.b2bgurus.com/2008/09/internal-properties-in-oracle-b2b.html (this blog is for 10g, so read concept only, not settings)
In case of Inbound, TP identification can be done on the basis of exchange, interchage, group. So if any of this can be same then you may have single agreement. Make sure to enable property "Functional Ack Internal Properties" on B2B console (Administration --> Configuration)-

  • How to set Different applications running on the same computer to use different Gateways?

    Dear All,
I would like to have different applications running on the same computer to use different Gateways (both gateways are in the same subnet).
Is it possible in Windows7 with / without a third-party utility?
    Current scenario & requirements:
I have two internet connections. Both are in the same subnet (192.168.1.0/24) and connected to the same LAN switch
Gateway for the first connection is 192.168.1.1
Gateway for the second connection is 192.168.1.2
I need to set my chrome browser & google talk to use the gateway 192.168.1.1
I need to set my IE & skype to use the gateway 192.168.1.2
Is it possible? Answers are appreciated!!
    Regards,
    Anees

    Hi,
I agree with Bill. Gateway is essentially an IP address for one network to other networks. For example, you have two networks: network A and network B, to make the two networks communicate with each other, you must go through Gateway. That is, as long
as you set Gateway, then you can make the two networks communicate with each other. The ip address for Gateway is the ip of device with routing enabled. One host machine can own multiple gateways.

  • How do I fix the format of plot lines for an arbitrary number of sets of data plotted on the same x-y graph?

I have written a VI to control an LCR meter and perform sweep functions. I have two x-y graphs on my front panel (one for each of 2 measured parameters). The VI is designed with a button to take a measurement, plot the data, and then wait for another event (like write data, clear plot, or measure again). The user can take simultaneous measurements and these are plotted on top of the data already there in the same x-y graphs (using an array of clusters with shift registers). There is no limit on how many sets of data can be on the x-y graph.
Now, my issue is in formatting the plot lines (color, thickness, marker type). I can fix the first plot line by adjusting the parameters of the x-y graph. However, I also want to control the format of all consecutive plot lines. How can I do this for an arbitrary number of lines? The main thing I want to do is to have all of them show the square marker type (the default is no marker type, just a line).
    Thanks!

    Hi maximum23,
You can use properties of plot to format the plot lines. You just have to select Active plot using property and then select color and line width etc..
You can define color and width etc parameter by asking user or you can just make them default.
