Setting up calendar on mobileme

I have the iphone 4 and the ipad 2 and want to use mobile me to sync calendar, contacts and photos.  I have setup an account with mobile me but on bopth the iphone and ipdad the only item in the account is find the phone/ipda"  How do I get the calendar, cotacts and photos to show on both of these devices.

Ok, sorry for the confusion on my part at the start.
This is what I would try. Take one of your devices, connect it to your computer and in iTunes right click on the device name and perform a Backup.  Once that is done make sure that both boxes are unchecked in the Info tab for Sync Address Book Contacts and Sync iCal Calendars. (when syncing works and these are checked you can end up with duplicate data) Click Apply. Quit iTunes.
On the device go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars >  select and delete the MobileMe account information.
On your PC go thru the steps again at http://www.apple.com/mobileme/setup/pc.html
using the MobileMe Control Panel for Windows to sync your data with the cloud (MobileMe) it will take a little time depending on your amount of data. Once step 2 is completed you should be able to go to www.me.com using your web browser, login and find your calendar and contact data. I have heard that it may take a few minutes for it to reflect your first data upload. If you cannot get this step completed, I would suggest looking for more help in the https://discussions.apple.com/community/mobileme/mobileme_on_my_pc forum. I don't have a Windows machine personally to go thru the steps.
If you were able to login via web browser and find your data present, go back to the iOS device and setup a new MobileMe account. Use your full [email protected] When entering the information it will confirm if it is recognized or not and you should get the options for data sync other than just find my device. Once again it can take possibly 10 min for all the data to get delivered to your device.
I'm expecting that this will sort out the issues. Before I forget, please add to your profile what OS your are using. It will help others, help you in the future.

  • Set up calendars both "on my mac" and on MobileMe?

I've gone with the flow and allowed my MobileMe calendars to update to the new system, but I'm now having second thoughts about the move, due to various minor glitches.  I do like the shared calendar feature for one or two calendars, but I would like to move a few other calendars off MobileMe.
Is there any trick to setting up some calendars "on my mac" and others on MobileMe?  Would having this setup create any particular issues?

    Kevin,

Can you accept the fact that the "On My Mac" calendars will exist only locally on your computer and are incapable of being synced or edited on any other device? Local calendars can however, be published but will not be editable by any other subscriber.

  • Syncing my iPhone with my Mac and MobileMe, leaves 2 Sets of calendars

After I sync my iPhone with MobileMe & my Mac I have 2 identical sets of calendars on my iPhone.
They are named "me.com" and "On my iPhone".
All calendar items are shown twice on the phone.

Deleted the contacts from where?  The device? the computer? both?
Use the backup of the computer to put them back if they have been deleted off the computer.  Once that is done, they can be synced to the iPhone.

  • IPhone calendar + List View All Calendars option (MobileMe)

    Hi all,
I'm trying to fix a problem, which maybe there for some time already, in the iPhone Calendar. I'm using MobileMe to sync contacts and appointments. All my devices are up-to-date to the latest levels of firmware and software.
I have a normal calendar in iCal and some subscribed calendars. Ther's no difference in both type of calendars.
    This is what's happening.....
    - Individual calendars are all looking perfect in List, Week and Month view.
    - All Calendar option is looking good in Week and Month view.
    - All Calendar option is bad in List view mode.
When selecting the last option the Today date is changed a couple of days (Today = Wednesday 10-3), but also appointments are on different days. For example the soccer games on Saturday (6-3) and Sunday (7-3) are now changed to Tuesday (9-3) and Wednesday (10-3).
I have the same calendar on my other iPhone and nothing weird going on over there?!?
    Does somebody have a clue?
PS. The calendars for this (MobileMe) user are all correct on the other Apple devices.
    Thanks!

    Hi All,
Got a message from cini007, but I get an error message when I want to reply to that message. I have copied the "solution" below.
I have tried this, but it's not working. The only thing happening is it has changed the dates randomly.
Although I have been looking for the auto shut-off option. I can't find that option only in the alarm clock options?
cini007 posted "Re: iPhone calendar + List View All Calendars option (MobileMe)" in "iPhone calendar + List View All Calendars option (MobileMe)" on Mar 9, 2010 8:20:57 AM.
I had Genius Bar visit with same issue—no go (was advised to reset to factory settings).
BUT here is the SOLUTION as it happened again:
    1. set auto shut-off to never
    2. turn OFF MobileMe syncing for calendars on the iPhone (from Settings menu)
    3. wait for calendar entries to be removed—takes minutes if you have several calendars
    4. hard reset iPhone (press Home and On/Off at the same time for >5 seconds), and wait 2 minutes (about the time to reboot)
    5. restart iPhone
    6. turn ON MobileMe syncing for calendars on the iPhone (again, from Settings menu)

  • Instructions for migrating calendars from MobileMe to iCloud

Where can I find instructions for moving a published calendar from MobileMe to iCloud? I've found a few references but most seem out of date re MobileMe and iCloud.
    Thanks,
    Steve.

Our club has an event calendar which was "published" to MobileMe in the way that has been current for some years. Club members "subscribed" to a provided URL (defined by Apple during the publishing process) which added the club calendar to their own iCal calendars.
We may or may not have migrated to iCal (this is currently being established) but as it happens this may not be an issue as the calendar has only a small number of events each month, and all repeat, so that reconstructing the iCal setup will not be difficult even if the data has been lost.
What is really not clear is how you set up the equivalent of MobileMe's publish/subscribe system when iCal is set up as an iCloud account. The matter of moving an existing calendar has become less important as the picture has clarified somewhat, though there is still confusion due to the fact that many Apple Help documents that we have found lead you on a path that goes back to the obsolete MobileMe instructions.

  • How do you set a calendar alarm for a specific time on the day of the event without it being an all-day event

Does anyone know how to set a calendar alert at a specific time on the day of the event.
So that the alert date adjusts accordingly if you were to copy and past it to another date.
The custom alert function kind of does this, but because it is an absolute alert (not relative) it will still refer to the date you initially set it to when you copy and paste it to another date. So this creates more work where you would have to go and manually change all the custom alerts. I have potential
Anyone know how to set this kind of calendar alert?
    Thanks in advance

Greetings: Set the alarm to message you (on your screen) and then snooze it every day for 15 days, or, set 15 separate alarm messages. There is probably an AppleScript somewhere on the web too, try searching that way as well.

  • ¿How do I set the calendar to start week on Monday and not Sunday in my iphone?

¿How do I set the calendar to start week on Monday and not Sunday in my iphone?

The jewish calendar does not have names for the days of the week. The week ends with the holy Sabbath (Saturday) and therefore the Sunday is the first days after Sabbath (Yom Rishon), the Monday the second day after Sabbath (Yom Sheini), etc.
The Christians believe that Christ was raised on the first days of the week (Mathew 28:1, et al) AFTER the Sabbath was over. So their holy day is the Sunday and the working week starts on a Monday.
The business days in the western world are numbered starting with the Monday as day number 1 (Timetables of Airlines, Calendars, even Microsoft Windows...).
Unfortunately in the United States religious freedom extends to a level which is not understood easily by the rest of the world. Since the MAC OS X allows to change the first day from a Sunday to a Monday, one might wonder why Apple decided to give the iPhone a jewish touch.
It could be supposed that this is the way of the least resistance. Only few complain about this issue, but if it were the other way around a lot of people would complain...
PS: I agree with the others here: It is very, very annoying and more than once I entered an appointment into the wrong day...;-)

  • When I try to create a calendar announcement in my iCloud calendar thru my PC / Outlook, it says 'the set of folders could not be opened. The information store could not be opened'. Can anyone help?  This means I cannot set any calendar events thru my PC.

If you upgraded to Windows 8 you may need to update the iCloud control panel for Windows to version 2.1 (see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4463).

  • How do I set up calendar events that will be for another time zone? My events shift once I travel

How do I set up calendar events that will be for another time zone? My events shift once I travel. The same is true when I am traveling and in another time zone, how do I best set up my events so they are in the correct time slot upon my return?

Basically, if your client does not have a Mac then don't use iWeb to create the site. iWeb is Mac only and if a client wishes to make alterations, then they need the domain file.
If your client needs to update on a weekly basis, then why not consider using one of the online website creation packages where you can log in from any Mac or PC. This would be simpler and there are lots out there - Microsoft Office Live or Google or something like http://www.wix.com where you can create a site and use a domain name with it.
Look at the alternatives before using iWeb.

  • Want to sync only selected calendars to MobileMe - Is there a workaround?

    Hi everyone,
does anyone know of a workaround to sync only some of my iCal calenders to MobileMe? I know that Apple does not support syncing only selected calendars to MobileMe. But surely someone must have found a way to accomplish this?
At work, I rely heavily on iCal. I use it for all kinds of stuff, from GTD to logging the billable hours spent on my clients' projects. However, I do not want to have all this stuff cluttering my iCal at home nor my iPhone. I only want to take my appointment calendar with me! (I know, with the iPhone this can be accomplished by syncing through iTunes instead of MobileMe - but then why do I pay for MobileMe in the first place?!?) I was hoping that this all-or-nothing sync would be a thing of the past with OSX 10.6, but nada...
    Any help, anyone?
    Best regards

HTML5 output needs IE11. But since you are publishing it as SWF as well, this output should work on older versions of IE.
So, I guess the issue is something else. You can try uploading your course to SCORM Cloud and test it there. If it works, then the issue is on the LMS front.

  • I'm new to using iCloud and couldn't find the answer to: how to set my calendar to use the 24 hour clock. Thanks all.

?? I'm new to using iCloud and couldn't find the answer to: how to set my calendar to use the 24 hour clock. Thanks all.

Thanks, David.  i thought i had it set correctly in Preferences in L&R. Being i was wearing my suspenders and belt at the same time i went back to L&R, cleared what was there and re-entered same to include unchecking and rechecking Time Format fgor 24-hour time.   It works now. Thanks again.

  • How can I remove "On My Mac" Set of Calendars?

When iCal upgraded,, I was asked if I wante dto creat a separate set of Calendars for just On My Mac. Initially I thought, OK, why not? But in reality, I need my entries to sync across 4 computers and when i enter events on my iPhone (which is usually the case), they show up only on my "On My Mac" calendars, and not on my Mobile Me/Cloud Calendars. It's a hassle to remember what I entered and then change it when I get to my desktop. I just want one set of Calendars, which is the ones that are shared across the Cloud. I'm sur eit's something easy, but I can't figure it out on my own. Thanks in advance!

Do you mean either of these?

  • How can i set my calendar start from Monday NOT Sunday like it is now?

How can i set my calendar start from Monday NOT Sunday like it is now?

    Read this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/11501621#11501621
For example, if you set the Regional format to United Kingdom, the days will be re-ordered but it will have other effects as well which you probably don't want.

  • Subscribed calendars "Show Calendar On MobileMe" not available

Anyone know why the "Show Calendar On MobileMe" option is available on some webcal://ical.me.com based subscribed calendars but not others?
For example, in my iCal, two subscribed calendars originating from the same MobileMe user (URL webcal://ical.me.com/{username}/{calendarName}.ics) allow the "Show Calendar On MobileMe" option. Yet another subscribed calendar originating from another MobileMe user (URL webcal://ical.me.com/{anotherUsername}/{anotherCalendarName}.ics), does not offer the "Show Calendar On MobileMe" option.
Am running MacOS 10.5.8 (iCal 3.0.8). I, too, have a MobileMe account, btw.
    Thanks for any help!

I seem to be having the same problem with repeated appointments:
I have an appointment with a start date of Tue 2nd Sept and an end date of Wed 3rd (created on iphone).
On mobileme.com it appears on Thursday 4th as well.
The appointment appears correctly in iCal (synced through mobileme, not iTunes).
Looks like a bug to me.

  • Calendar in MobileMe is not syncing with iphone

A couple of days ago my iphone stopped syncing its calendar with MobileMe. I followed the suggested steps to fix the problem (provided by Apple). I turned sync on and off, reinstalled the iphone software with and without the backup, turned phone on/off between the steps, waited for an hour each time - but nothing. The calendar view is completely empty.
Sync of calendar to my iMac, iPad and MacBook Air work excellent.
If I connect the iphone with my MB Air by USB then sync works fine but this solution is less then optimal since I use all four units seperately and thus need to sync only with MobileMe.
Please give a clue of what I can do to resolve the problem!

The problem solved tiself. I added my Google calendar by Exchange, that didn't work either. The next time I activated the mobile me calendar it worked.
