Here is a link from Microsoft that explains what a proxy address is: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa125382(v=exchg.65).aspx . If eFax is asking for a proxy address you may need to set a static IP on your printer to bypass this problem. There are two ways to set a static IP. The easiest way is through the front panel of the printer, but before I can give you those directions, I need to know what type of printer you are using. Thank you in advance for your reply.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

I just got my Mac yesterday. My kids want to access sites that need the adobe player. When I try and download it asks for a password. I do not even remember setting one up? How do i find out what it is?

Adobe does not require a password to download the Flash installer. Generally speaking passwords are not required to download software, unless you must register with the website so as to log in. In that case you should never use the same name and password you use to administer your Mac. -
I updated ipad 4.3 to io7 but now when I go to set up it keeps asking me to restore - I have done this from itunes several times but it still gets stuck at this point in set up - help!
All media and apps should be in iTunes on the computer. Simply select the content desired to sync to the device and sync it.
FYI, backups have never included media or apps.

Could you try:
1. On the printer control panel, touch > Setup, then touch Fax Setup then Basic Fax Setup
2. Turn on Auto Answer
3. Set Rings to Answer to the number of rings.

If you delete a picture, it sends it to iPhoto trash (left column), there you can permently delete using the empty trash with the icon in the upper right corner. It will come up with a warning if you want tp permently delete trash (photos). It the iPhoto trash you can drag them back out, once you empty the trash, they are gone.
You can also go to finder preferences>advanced, and unclick secyre empty trash, and make sure show warning before empting trash is clicked. -
Can Someone Help Me Set Up Basic Faxing in 10.3.9?
I have a USR Sportster modem connected to my G4 via a serial-to-USB adaptor. OSX sees the modem; I know this because I can use the modem to autodial my phone from Now Contact (I'm lazy) and I can make OSX try to dial an internet connection (which I dont need since I have cable modem). But I can find no place to set up the fax; I can't add it to the Fax List.
In the Print&Fax prefs, I have the Faxing tab filled out.
In the Internet Connections window, I see "USA19H33P1: Idle" (this is the name of the port that the USB/serial driver creates). If I click on the icon for that port, I see "CONFIGURATION: Modem Configuration:" If I put a phone number in there and press connect, I hear the modem dial it.
But there's something missing because when I try to fax from the PRINT dialog and I pull down the Modem list (which says No Fax Selected) and select Fax List, there are no fax "machines" listed and no ADD button.
What do I need to do? How do I get my modem added to the Fax List?I also have a US Robotics Sportster modem connected to my G5 via a Keyspan USA-28x USB Twin Serial Adapter.

For the Device URI, I used "fax://dev/cu.KeySerial1". Yours will be different depending on the serial port used.
I can now print to fax using the "Fax PDF..." option and the fax modem will dial but I haven't tested whether or not the fax goes through completely. I also haven't tested fax receiving so I don't know if creating symbolic links for cu.modem and tty.modem is necessary.

I'm new here and just beyond frustrated with trying to get this to work for my office.
My other printer wont work through USB since my computer will give me a warning throughout the day that the USB is corrupted. So anyways, I got a new printer and I'm trying to connect to it through the office network. My iPhone prints through it. My computers operating system is Windows 7 64 Bit.
My printer is HP Officejet Pro 8600 all in one
I want to connect to it from the network and I want to set up the fax. When I plug the line into the printer then the ext phone line into my phone my phone doesn't work.
I'm confused! Someone help! Please!!!!!

I have set my download on ask before downloading; however, I guess the program gets a little put off because it keeps asking and I keep saying "NO". Unfortunately, it takes it upon itself to download anyway. I love Firefox; however, I have been informed by my school where I teach online courses, that there are problems with Firefox 23 and our LMS. I just got a retro clock from brookstone and in setting it up it asked if I want to use current location which is incorrectly "Buffalo" but I do not know how to change it. Can anyone help me find where to change location?
As I understand it, Apple gets your location from the wi-fi router to which your iPod is connected. Location Services identifies the router and then checks for its location in Apple's database. If the router has been recently relocated or if there is a glitch in Apple's database, you will get an incorrect location. I don't think that there is anything you can do about it. You could send Apple a message about the error, but I doubt if they would do anything about it.

These are a couple different issues
The purchase issue means they came from a different Apple ID
You will need that Apple ID and password for those purchases
The iCloud account can be an Find My iPhone issue.
That could be the same Apple ID as the purchased or yet another one.
Once again you will need that Apple ID and password.
