Setting up Find my Iphone ap and it says to verify my Apple ID. I do that and the email comes in with the "Verify Now" link, which doesn't work. What next?

I've just upgraded to iPhone 4S and restored data from my old iPhone through iTunes. I'm being asked for a password to get into my phone and the old password I had doesn't work. I don't know what password it's looking for
Thanks for replying, I'm a real techno-cretin. What do you mean by not using the backup? I'm busy trying to restore my new phone and it's doing a 6 hour download with updates. Can I restore the data from my old phone backup onto the new iPhone 4S when the download is done?

I have an iPod 4th gen and the bottom part of it doesn't work where the space, .?123, and the go buttons are not working I droped it yesterday but it started doing this an hour ago I can slide to get in but it's stops working after that someone tell me how I fix this
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I cant find my iphone 4s and the power is off, can it be located still
i lost or was stolen (my iphone 4s) and I have gone to the find my iphone app, and it says its not set up. I have used it before and it worked. I am sure the phone battery is dead by now. Is there any way my phone carrier can find it somehow? I was hoping someone would turn it on so It can be located with the app.
Im not the most savy tech person so excuse me if this is something obvious just not to methank you for response.
Been reading through the site searching for anything to give me hope that someone... may power it on and then the app locate the phone for me.

I dont have insurance so this is a no win situation, but should I stil call provider and report it missing? or should I just hope someone is careless enough to try to use it so it will eventually be able to be tracked?

When we rolled out ReaderX and AcrobatX we uncheck the Diaply PDF in Browser window. OK with IE, but ignored in FireFox (3.6.16). We can live with that except the PDFs have links to other URLs and clicking on them is ignored. Same PDF opened outside the browser the links work fine. FireFox with Reader 9.4.0 no problem. Reader X with IE no problem. I can fix the Display in Browser with a change to firefox.js, but have not figured out how to fix the links when the PDF is displayed within the browser.

1. Are you seeing this problem with all kinds of PDF's or some specific kinds like secure PDF's (with doc open password or printing restrcitions), reader extended PDF's or PDF forms.
This problem is with all kind's of PDF's.
2. Are you opening a locally saved PDF by doing a drag drop in the browser or right click and open with IE/FF or directly opening a PDF hosted on the internet?
It doesn't matter. However I do it, I see this problem in Firefox, IE & Google Chrome.
3. Can you also check the version of the Reader X browser plugin? you could find it at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX\AcroPDF.dll. Right click -> Properties -> Details
If version is 9.0.x then you could try a clean install of Reader X.
I have checked it. It's the latest plug-in (though at the moment, I have gone back to Adobe Reader 9.4.1, as I've mentioned before, because I need the reader to be working fine for my work and daily life. I am just waiting for a fix before I try Adobe Reader X again.
As I've mentioned before, I am seeing this issue ONLY on my Windows 7 Ultimate (Laptop). In the desktop's at work, with Windows XP / Vista, I don't see it. Adobe Reader is working fine, browser integration is fine, the floating tool bar works fine, the right click menu pop' up where the right click is done...I can also save PDF' from the main toolbar at the top and so on...
I really have run out of ideas.... and I am very surprised that no expert support personnel (if at all there is one) have dropped by or said anything or mentioned anything about this.

I have a 5s 7.0.4 that I had set up for finger print password. A confused friend mistook my phone for his and kept trying password until it was revoked. I have "Find My iPhone" turned on and can not find a way to shut it off now. It must be off to do a restore but we need password to turn off. Big circle. Any insight is appreciated. Happy New Year!

I downloaded the new IOS 6 on my IPhone 3Gs as it prompted me to do so. so that took 45 mins then told me to connect to Itunes in which i did, then it took 39 mins for itunes to "restore" my phone and after the 39 mins it told me Apple unable to restore IPhone and shut me out. Next a screen popped up on my computer screen and said that i could report the problem to Apple if i wanted to. But at this point my phone is completly locked out. So all i get from my phone right now is the Apple on the screen and the download bar under it and or a block screen if i unplug it and the battery dies. which when i did the upgrade my phone was just off a fresh charge! i need help like ASAP i leave out of town on thursday it is monday and i need a phone with GPS and that can make calls! i am pregnate and have a 2 year old i am traving with and we have no house phone so my phone is very important! No. You have no alternative but to plug it into a computer running iTunes and restore it.

My kids misplaced her iPad, we can't find it for almost three months already. Check using 'find my iPhone' it show the iPad still OFF. Is there any way to find it last location before it was OFF ?

Sounds like you'll have to take it in to the Apple store for service. This happened to my wife's iPhone and they just replaced it.

Using windows. In the past I was able to have the picutres sorted in files and by file name and that is how they showed in the phone or pad. Not long ago one of the itune updates changed so it sorted by date and the the another update changed so it went by file name. Well when I got a new computer and updated itunes it won't load pictures in correct order. Is there an option I'm missing or is this an option that Apple should have for how you want pictures sorted?

Updated to 10.4.9 and now weather widget doesn't work-what to do?

Just updated to 10.4.9 tonight and for the first time since I bought this computer in August, the weather widget doesn't work.
Would anyone happen to know what I could do to get this to work. I am connected to the internet, I can access the accuweather.com that I think this widget connects to, I restarted and reset PRAM (not even sure if that has anything to do with it).
I just don't even know where to go from here to troubleshoot. Any suggestions would be appreciated... Thanks.Just for the record... There is quite a bit of discussion about widgets. I only use the dictionary and iStat. I use WeatherPop in the taskbar, which resides in the taskbar...
It did it again this morning. I let it boot all the way, and then I went into system preferences to find the resolution that the display was using. It was 1400x1050. But there was a second display preferences window open. Basically... The computer was "mirroring" to a second non-existent monitor. I ran through the "detect displays" and it got rid of the second setting.
I've never had a second monitor hooked to the machine, and I've never messed with the display settings, other than to change wallpaper. I'm not sure how or why it turned on, but I think it's off now... Weird that it only did it every now and then.
