Setting up folders in mail for iphone 4 & a grumble or two

So i have this new iphone 4 and I am having difficulties setting up folders inside my inbox. For example I would like to set up folders for Junk Mail and Read It Later but I don't want to set up another email account to do so.
Almost all of my settings on my iphone are by accident not design, lol.
And even though I have rung the apple service centre on numerous occassions:
my iphone has turned itself off because it overheated and I was told by apple technical support to turn the phone off at night!!!
and it wants recharging after five hours of continuous use;
so - I am having serious issues with Apple actually calling the iphone4 a "mobile".
End of grumble.
If anyone can help me with the folder setup in mail, I would appreciate it.

The ability to create folders in the mail app is dependent on the type of email account that you have. It is not quite like Outlook where you can set up local folders no matter what type of account you have. The iPhone email client does not support the creation of folders if you are using a POP account. Only if you are using Exchange or IMAP, as those are created on the server side. The overheating issue sounds as if something is stuck running since it is running the battery down that fast. However, it makes me want to question what you mean by 5 hours of continuous use. Do you mean using for 5 hours straight, or it being in standby for a period of time as well?

The only way to do so is with an IMAP account via server stored mailboxes which must be created with an email client used on your computer or via webmail access for the account using a browser. Once an additional server stored mailbox is created and available on the server, it will also be available on the iPhone automatically.
This is not available with a POP account.

Where to set sending of e-mails for dunning documents

Does anyone knows where to set sending of e-mails for dunning documents. They are being printed out but e-mail is not being sent.
Generalyy e-mail sending(trx scot) is set.
I guess it is pure Fi settinng to send e-mail as well. Could anyoune help

Is there a way (or a setting) for my individual folders in Mail to automatically update across all devices? For example, if I transfer an email to a folder for follow-up on my PC - say 10th of the following month - the same folder in Mail on my iPhone doesn't update until I actually go into the folder and update manually. Interestingly though, if I create a new folder on any of my devices they automatically appear on the other devices so it is just the actual contents that I am referring to here. Appreciate any help or guidance.

You can turn mail off in the settings but then you can't use it for anything, including the "test" that you want to perform.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Account Name>Mail>Off. That totally turns off the mail account.
As long as mail is turned on and you launch the app, it will look for an download new mail.

Sub Folders in mail on iphone

My iphone mail is obtained from my work exchange server which is run by an external provider. Because of the nature of my work in outlook I have created several folders for various e-mails and some have subfolders. In outlook I can hide the subfolders but on the iphone the subfolders are shown and I have to scroll past them to get to the folders below. This would not be too much of a problem if a number of other people who are with the external provider had not incorrectly set up their e-mail accounts so now I get a public folder with 30 other e-mail accounts in. I can also read, move and delete these other peoples e-mails!!!
The external provider says they have informed these other e-mail users but they do not seem to care and unless they alter their preferences I will always see them.
So now to my question can you on the iphone hide subfolders and just see the main folder as you can in outlook?

OK, so your signature says you use a MacBook with OSX, so I am assuming your reference to Outlook is actually Entourage - well, wait - that could be home computer v. work computer. Anyway, it probably doesn't matter.
What I do is save my email messages in subfolder OFFLINE, rather than on the server in subfolders. That way, I can get to my emails (but not on another computer), but they do not get replicated to my iPhone and do not use up server space. Just one way. I do also keep an online subfolder for certain emails, that is repicated on the iPhone.

This is done in Mail Preferences/Accounts/Advanced by selecting to not keep copies of messages and their attachments, or can limit it to keep with the attachments. However, Search of the entire message depends upon having these temporary copies on board you Mac.

Other folders in Mail for Excahange

I just bought E 71 and configured Mail for exchange. It is working perfect. I have many folders in my exchange email account and all are handled by exchange rules and my problem is i am getting only those emails which are coming in inbox and not getting those emails which i am getting for other folders.
For example
I have 2 folders in my exchange email account. One is inbox and another is Sales. I have configured Sales folder in this way if any email come from any client email address so it will directly got to Sales folder by using rules. Now the problem is i am not getting email from sales folder. Please help me.

Sync specific folders using Mail for Exchange

In ActiveSync I can select which folders to synchronize. I it possible with Mail for Exchange? I do not need to synchronize all folders while roaming.

Missing gmail folders in Mail for Mt. Lion

I moved a lot of email to a gmail account to archive it (originally from MS Exchange), creating mail folders to hold the mail. This worked fine. But on updating to Mt. Lion, I can no longer see any of these folders, only the stock gmail folder (All Mail, Bin, Drafts, Important, Sent Mail, Spam, and Starred). I can see these folders and mail when I look at the account via a browser, but these folders are no longer accessible via Apple Mail. What happened and is there a solution to this?

Tried it. No difference. There are just the stock gmail folders visible. Note that I CREATED the folders and moved the mail using Apple Mail in Lion a couple months ago. It is only since upgrading to Mt. Lion have they been inaccessible.

I was able to set up a distribution group on my "icloud.com" account. I used my contacts and created a group and then went to my mail and was able to send it to that group.
My next step is to do that on my iPhone 5.
I see the group under the contacts in settings that i have created, however, it is not recognized on my phone as a distribution group.

You can't. "All contacts" means just what it says.

Cannot set up AOL mail for iPhone

How can I set up AOL mail to receive on my iPhone in the "All Inboxes" location. I have deleted my old AOL account and added a new one with same user name and updated password but I receive the message that "wrong username or password for imap.AOL.com"
