Setting up mail for exchange for rediffmailpro acc...

can anyone guide me how to configure mail for exchange in E5 model. Presently my mails are through pop.rediffmailpro.com

Ahhh after some research and trail and error.. (hours of it)... I got a work around!!! I tried it for gmail and it works fine now!! Below is what you do:-
On inital stage please type dont type correct yahoo, gmail, hotmail or other email ID "
for example if ur id is ****@hotmail.com that type ****@abc.com insted of hotmail. and correct it on second stage.
Go to Mail on your phone - Options - Settings - scroll down to email - Options - New Mailbox
Click - start and then NO to allow connections (that stops Nokia Messaging swinging into control)
Now enter your hotmail address except do not put @hotmail.com at the end. Put @abc.com
e..g. if you email is *****@hotmail.com then enter mailto:*****@abc.com
Now enter your password - press OK
Now you will get an OPTION to define settings and it will allow you to manually set the POP3 or IMAP
Now put in your correct email id and passwd while setting the IMAP. for gmail use the following >
Enter 'imap.gmail.com' as the incoming mail server, Select 'SSL/TLS' for your security (ports) and define your port as '993.'
Enter 'smtp.gmail.com' as the outgoing mail server,Select 'StartTLS' for your security (ports) and define your port as '587.'
Save it... and you will say Wow!!! that worked!!!
Atleast it worked for me!!!

Hey everyone,
Having a few problems setting up mail to exchange on a Nokia 5800.
We have the latest version of Mail to Exchange installed.
Were using Microsoft Exchange 2007.
Example serup of what we have done:
Mail to exchange - New profile - Input Username and Password of domain account - Input domain name - Chose Internet as means of connection -
The Nokia goes off and searches for the domain information, finds it OK. Shows a message regarding a server certificate, we chose to install this certificate this time only.
Phone crashes?
Any ideas whats going on?

Depending on the customer feedback, it works fine. Apple Mail the client that comes with OSX supports standard protocols (POP3, IMAP, SMTP), these are all supported by Exchange 2010.
If you're running Mac OS 10.4 Tiger or Mac OS 10.5 Leopard, you can still use the Mac Mail App to connect to your account. However, you need to connect to your account without using IMAP or POP.
If you're running Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard or Mac OS 10.7 Lion, you can use the Mail program included with those releases to connect to your email account automatically using an Exchange account.
When you use Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard or Mac OS 10.7 Lion and connect using an Exchange account, you can use features that aren't available to users who connect through IMAP or POP, including iCal and Address Book.

Can't set up Mail with Exchange

Searching has shown that there seem to be a lot of problems with Exchange and Mail, but I wanted to check and see if there's anything else I can do to fix this. My Exchange server works fine with the iPhone and with Entourage, but with Mail it will never sync. I don't want Exchange calendar and contacts, just e-mail. I'm not sure if I'm setting it up wrong - there doesn't seem to be a place to put the domain name? Could that be a problem, or is this just a hopeless quest? I have heard that Snow Leopard should support Exchange, so maybe I will just wait it out. I'm just trying to get switched away from Entourage altogether and I don't like having to use two different e-mail programs. It just seems odd that it works so easily and well on the iPhone but not on a Mac.

Same problem here. I've used Mail with Exchange for quite sometime but recently I can't send using the SMTP server. I can receive and even send to other email addresses on my Exchange network. But not to the outside world. Tried every configuration and authentication possible. Now I read (here in the discussions) that Mail 3.x (I'm using 3.6) is very unreliable with Exchange. I think we are desperately awaiting Snow Leopard. I will certainly not install Entourage on my Mac again that's for sure. I'm resorting to web access for my Exchange folders now.
Anyone have any solution to this?

Setting up Mail at work for an Exchange Server.

I am currently using Microsoft Office 2004 Entourage at my work place and want to use Mail as it is much easier. However, I feel like I have tried everything and still can not get it to work correctly. I have all the settings the same as it is set up in Entourage for an Exchange server, but it will not work. We have access to our email from the internet and I tried setting it up as a POP account with those settings, but still... it doesn't work. Our IT guys here are no help at all. Can anyone help me out??

Well, seeing as how this has been up here for a few months and no one has posted any help... I am guessing there is no solution and ending this Question.

MFE (Mail For Exchange) for N72

Hi,
Nokia business software site shows that N72 is supported for MFE but there is no download link for the same like other phones. Is N72 really supported for MFE? If yes, can anybody pass on the link for the same.

EAS is Exchange ActiveSync, so it's definitely MfE alright. Try reinstalling it.
Edit- Actually if you've installed a new version, that would've done the same job, so my advice is no use.

E72 Mail for Exchange for a MDaemon emailserver

Hi!
Got my new E 72 a few weeks ago and Im very satisfied so far.
Ive mow tried to setup the mailforexchange in the phone but it wont work. It starts the sync and a wheel is spinning around and never stops if I dont make it and nothing is synced,
I know that the username, server, login etc should be OK my collegue has a SE phone and his phone is working good for the sync. Can´t anyone please help me. I get frustrated not solving this problem.

Have you had a look at the log file for the exchange client? If not here it is, menu/office/file mgr/phone memory/mailforexchange. If you delete any files in here and then try to sync again, then come back to this folder and you will have a new file created, open it and have a look for any errors. You may want to turn the automatic find off from within options to allow you to scroll down properly.

Setting up mail on Exchange 2003

Can anyone give me a play by play (or tell me where to get one) on how to set up my small business exchange server so that I can get e-mail on my iphone? My tech guy has no clue.

More information. My phone is not able to send or recieve e-mail when I am away from my companies server. Any Thoughts on how to make the changes so that I can recieve mail away from the site. I've seen e-mails on how to configure to send...what about recieve. If there is something that needs to be done server side, please let me know.

Not able to install mail for exchange on my E71

Hi, I downloaded mail for exchange from ovi, it also shows into my installd apps. however, when I try to set up the mail it only shows me gmail, yahoo, ovi mail and others, doesn't show mail for exchange.
I want to use mail for exchange for real time sync with my office mail, contacts and calendar..
Please help..

Unfortunately no.
I the past I managed to install the app on several Asha 302 with no problem,
I used Nokia suite 3.8.48 connected with a Asha 302 phone.
Now, when I searched for Mail for Exchange app the Nokia suite didn't show me the app.
I think that now i am in the wrong country :-)
( maybe that regional exceptions apply)
Finaly I finded a solution : I made a backup from another Asha 302 with app installed on it in the past and I made a restore only with phone settings and applications.

It appears that what you are looking to do is from another product at Nokia called Nokia Messaging. Go to mail.nokia.com and setup a messaging account and add the gmail and yahoo accounts there. Then SMS send the configuration program to your device. Install it. it will add all the accounts to your device on install and will send messages to your device. So at this point you will have Mail for Exchange for you corporate mail and Nokia Messaging for you personal mail ( gmail and yahoo).

I have created a custom workflow for sales order, when ever the sales order has been deleted i need to set a mail to manager for approval in outlook mail box. Is it possible to sent to outlook mail box with work item for approval.If they click on approval button the workflow needs to delete the sales order else it shoul retain as it is.

You have mentioned that we can read user profiles and send e-mails with help of agent assignment. But, you have also mentioned that this is the case where HR is not implemented. So did you mean that where there is no Org Structure?
In my case, we have HR implemented and we have an Org Structure. In the PO/PR release strategy we use Org Structure and Position to decide whom to send E-mail.
Now what is it that I need to do differently to make sure that the E-mail is sent to Outlook directly not via SAP Inbox.

Setting Up Mail kicks out SMTP when used in multiple accounts

Last night I attempted to set up Mail.app (not for the first time!) in Tiger. It only seems to allow 1 user account with the same SMTP address. My girlffiend and myself have separate user accts but the same email provider I set hers up no problem it seemed, I then went to set up mine in my user acct but it kept saying SMTP server not responding so I deleted hers and set up mine - Done, I thought! NO! When I tried to recreate hersit gave me the same msg about the SMTP, I soon found I was going in circles. I set up various other email accounts online to use the SMTP but the same message appeare. I set up in entourage no problems at all BUT I can't set up entourage in her acct! I'm feeling a little frustrated to say the least - any help with either app would be grately appreciated...

Glad you could so ably solve this issue. In broadband, your mail server identity is typically established via the Username of each account, and that Username is typically derived from the email address itself. Dial-up can be different, and I am aware that some broadband outside the US can utilize different codes.
The parallel to the code you had to lead with, is the IP address for each broadband connection, and this is location specific, unlike being able to dial in from anywhere. I have not used dial-up in a long time, and never with a Mac.

You can download mail for exchange to a pc or laptop then use nokia pc suite to install it.
The bug still exists were your email will be show up as being sent from Mail For Exchange and not you name

I set up mail for exchange and it works beautifully when set to always on, however many times I want it on manual so I can only check at specific times when I'm away from a pc, but it doesn't seem to work.
When I click synchronise, it appears as if it syncs and disconnects, but it doesn't update anything. If I try the same when I'm looking at the mail for exchange settings, then it tries to connect and says error connecting, try again later.
So i switched to always on, it worked, back to manual, and it seems that the first attempt was successful, but I know it'll stop working later.
Any idea what the problem is with manual checking?
