Setting up my Ovi email on a 5530 - help?
No sure what guide I should be following to get Ovi email setup on my 5530. There seems to be several guides and Nokia don't seem to point to the correct guide for whatever phone you have. I had assumed you would tell the site what phone you have and then a simple guide would follow. Or failing that, once Ovi was setup on my mobile, the email function would self install.

ovi maill is just like gmail set up it is not a separate program like nokia messaging it does not really set up on your phone unless you have set it up on ovi site and have the email addresss and password confirmed

I have recently updated all my pc's to windows 8 and office 2013 (beta for now)
i seem to bee having issues with the Outlook 2013 being able to set-up my OVI email account.
there are no issues when using the windows mail platform in windows 8 which automatically pulls the settings and works very well, however, the Outlook 2013 cannot pull the settings automatically nor when i input manually, like before, does it accept it.
has anyone been able to get Outlook 2013 to connect to OVI.com Email with IMAP yet?
If so, can you please post what settings you are using so that I can try and duplicate it?

Go to Solution.For anyone who is having issues connecting your OVI mail with Outlook 2013, this is the way to set it up as below. For some reason, as of the date of this post, Outlook 2013 will not automatically pull the settings and the traditional settings that we used to use, did not work.
note: the windows mail version, which is the applications version on the tiles screen, works without issue. this is specifically for OUTLOOK 2013.
Then clock on More Settings...
once this is complete, just click on OK and then continue through and you should have your OVI mail working. -

When AirPort Utility analyzes the network further, and sees that the Express cannot "extend" the 3rd party network, the next message will indicate that the Express is being configured to "join" the wireless network.
Once the Express is configured, if you later go into AirPort Utility to check the settings under the Wireless tab, you will see that the Wireless Mode is indeed "Join a wireless network". -

I recently bought the Nokia C3-00 on Vodafone but asked them to unlock it so that I could use my exisitng O2 contract.
I want to set up my Yahoo email account, but Im having great difficulty!
When I initially put my O2 sim card in, they sent me the settings for MMS and Web. I can get on the internet and I can access Facebook, but I cant seem to access the Nokia Ovi Store or set up my Yahoo email account.

When I click on the Mail icon on the Menu screen I have a message appear saying 'No mailbox created. Set up mail now?' If I click 'Yes' It says 'Use an existing mail address?' to which I also say 'Yes' and proceed to emter my email address, etc. Should this be happening as I notice in the video that Yahoo Mail is one of the options in the video, however as I have said I do not have that screen!

My APPLE ID is NOT working properly. I am frustrated beyond belief I have tried time and time again to change my apple ID and it keeps reverting back to my original ID!! I even set up a new email to try to submit a new id and it still does not work
To change your Apple ID, follow these steps:
Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com), click "Manage your Apple ID", and sign in.
If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID. If you are unable to receive messages at your trusted device, follow the guidelines for what to do if you can't sign in with two-step verification.
In the "Apple ID and Primary Email Address section," click Edit.
Enter the email address you want to use, then click Save Changes. Apple will send a verification email to that address.
Open the email from Apple, then click Verify Now in the email.
When the My Apple ID page opens, sign in with your renamed Apple ID.
If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID.
After you see a message indicating that verification is complete, remember to update all of the stores and services that you use with your Apple ID. -
How do i set up a new email account
I'm trying to set up a new email account. When I open preferences/new account, and put in my name, a new email address and password, my mail program just turns on the beachball and says it's not responding. Not sure what to do.
It's an iMac (Intel), and yes it is a G5. I'm not a techie, but pretty sure Intel makes it a G5.
Anyway, I guess you know what the add account box looks like in Mail. The top window automatically has my full name in it. In the email address window (the new account I want to set up), I put in the new email name I want - for example, [email protected] Then I put in the password for my .me account that I know works because I can sign in and access my stuff. When I hit the create button, I get the spinning beachball, and eventually, when I do the three-finger salute to force quit, I see that mail is not responding. -

I have created an Apple ID for my daughter with her own gmail address as the primary email address, but I want her Apple ID and primary email address to be an iCloud email address. How can I do this? I can't set up an icould email address for her without first creating an Apple ID right?

I also wonder what the best way is to set up accounts for children in a family. I dont want them to be able to purchase apps etc through the parents accounts, also some things we like to share as a family and others we don't want to share. Is there any good. clear, simple explanation from Apple Support about these issues? Or best to go to Apple store and go to genius bar or one to one advise?

though I have to say I think it's more sensible if the ID is another address, both for security reasons (so people don't know what the login is) and as a contact address from Apple if the account were to stop working and they needed to contact you. So personally I would to to System Preferences, enter the GMail address which is an ID, and then choose a nerw @icloud.com address.
If she has her own iCloud account she will need either her own computer or her own user account on your Mac to be able to make use of it. You should note that under Apple's terms of use Apple IDs are only available to children of 13 and over.
As to purchasing apps, this is nothing to do with iCloud: it's iTunes, and the login can be different. So you can all sign into the same iTunes account but have different iCloud accounts. Or she can have her own iTunes account if she is of suitable age (credit card needed for purchasing apps).
If you have other children you should be aware that any one Mac or device can create only three iCloud accounts - this is tied to the serial number, not the user account, and once reached cannot be bypassed. You can of course sign into an iCloud account created on another device. -
Hi Apple friends! Here's my frustrating situation. When I got the new computer (2012 Macbook Pro), I tried to set up iCloud but accidentally input an erroneous email acct. I cannot access iClod because the email was accidentally input as "[email protected]", not "[email protected]". How do I reset the email originally used to start the Apple ID? I'm stuck in a loop, and not only cannot use iCloud, but I keep getting messages popping up to register my iCloud with a non-existent email...

[email protected]Have you tried to go into System Preferences > iCloud and entering the correct information there? You will first have to "sign out" of the wrong account and then log in with the correct information.
If that does not work you should direct follow up to the iCloud for Mac forum. -

On your Mac, try to access your gmail account. There should be a link you click for "Forgot My Password". Click it and try to retrieve your password.
