Setting up seperate I-Tunes accounts
For the last couple of years me and my 2 kids have been on the same account. Now thet are older and each have their own I-Touch, I would like to set their own individual account. How can I do this without them losing what are already installed on their devices?
Welcome to the discussions,
the easiest way would be to create a new windows user, log in and start iTunes and set up the other account.

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs. -
Should we all have seperate I tunes accounts?
Should I have seperate I tunes accounts for myself, wife and kids? I keep getting I messages on my phone that the kids are sending between themselves, and not intended for me?
Yes, separate Apple IDs are recommended for that very reason.

Hi, we ahve one e-mail address but i am trying to set up 3 i-tunes accounts to that one address can someone PLEASE fill me in on how to do it
As far as I know, you can't. One ID per e-mail.
For your other accounts, you can get an e-mail from gmail or yahoo or another free provider. -
How can I set up two i tunes accounts on the same i mac for different profiles
I have set up two profiles on my new i mac. I now want to access two different i tunes accounts but when downloading the second account I get a message saying the computer is already set up with an apple id and if you download you can not auto download !! for 90 days ??? I don't understand this
Jus don't turn on Autodownload (iTunes prefs > Store).
Autodownload simply tells iTunes to automaticall download items if you purchase them elsewhere (such as a different computer or iPhone/iPad).
You can still download them when your purchase them on the computer or go to iTunes store in iTunes, select Purchased on the right side under Quick Links. -
Two seperate I-tune accounts:one for each of my Ipod minis?
I wish to have my i-tunes music on one ipod and my podcasts and books on another. I tried to set things up so I could only have classical music checked off and set up a new folder with my name on it, but eveything checked and uncheckedd was loaded on it. I then couldn't erase the new folder?? Is it possible to get two accounts from I-Tunes, is that my solution?
Thanks for suggestion.
M.No, you don't need two iTunes Music Store accounts. Take a look here:

If you are using the same Apple ID, the passwords cannot be different. Can you explain this a little better?

HT2731 how do i set up an i tunes account for my 11 year old?
I am trying to set an iTunes account up for my 11 year old daughter, and I get as far as entering her birth year, but then when I enter 2001 and click next I get a dialogue box telling me that this doesn't meet the Apple age restrictions. I've tried putting 1990 in as well and get the same result. Very, very frustrating!!!!
You need to be at least 13 years or older to set up an iTunes account.

2 iPod touches 2 I tunes accounts
We have 2 iPod touches. should we set up 2 I tunes accounts?
One account for iTunes music/movies/TV show as well as App purchases means you can share any items purchased easily. Settings -> Store -> Apple ID (tap on your Apple ID to change it)
You can get a 2nd account for iCloud. Settings -> iCloud -> Account -
I've got twin 12 year old boys and want to set I tunes accounts for them both, I need to be able to administer any purchases as they will need to use my bank account. How can I do this?
What do you mean by administer?
When you set up the account you have to enter a birthday and it has to results in being 13 years old or older.
You can set a Restriction that hides the iTunes and App store and another one to prevent in-app purchases. See:
iOS: Understanding Restrictions -
I have an apple i tunes account and now I want to set my daughters i pod on my account as well, but the account only seems to recognise one ipod when i want it to recognise 3
There is no limit to the number of iPods you can sync with one computer, iTunes library, or account. See this article for different ways of managing multiple iPods.
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1495
Are you saying that iTunes does not recognize the other 2 iPods?
