Setting Up Service

How do I go about setting up service for Comcast Internet for an apartment pre-wired to have it? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,
Create a service monitor as previously described and then create a distributed application and add the new service monitor for all servers to a component group. Then set the health rollup to Best state of any member - I think that should work...

  • Setting up Service Level in Advanced Pricing

    Hi
    I would like to know how to set up service items and service levels in OM and use QP to price service levels. Is there a white paper which provides examples.
    Thanks

    By service items/service levels, I assume you refer to things like 1-yr extended warranty, 2-yr extended warranty etc. If so, the answer is No. You can setup independent standard service items for each service level, and then use the GET_CUSTOM_PRICE utility to price these. We have used these in a CTO environment, where they are included in the BOM for the ATO model, and we use a custom pricing engine to derive the service price as a fixed % of the system (configuration) price.

  • Misled when setting up service.

    I was told by the rep on the phone when I set up service that 1. the 200.00 dollar termination fee is prorated over time and 2.  that if I had to terminate my service due to a move and that new area to which I am moving did not have access to fios, then the termination fee would be waived.  The supervisor, Brian, told me today that this is not true and that the terms of the contract are given to me in a recorded message before service is initiated. Nevertheless, I believed that what I was told by the rep on the phone was true.   Brian refused pull my recorded telephone messages.  He would, however, pull the message of the recording verifying the details of my contract which is useless because this is not where this topic was discussed.  I feel I was mislead by the original rep I spoke with when I ordered service and believed at the time that what I was told over the phone was true.  Nothing was done to try and resolve this issue.  Now I am stuck paying 200.00 dollars and I am responsible for entering into a contract with misleading information.  This is an unsatisfactory customer service experience for me, at a time when I really do not need this.  I am an RN who is moving to take care of an ill mother.  I think this is wrong that you do not do the right thing when people are mislead over the phone.  You have lost a customer.  Your service is not a good value for me, especially when the customer service is lacking and you do not stand behind what your rep told me over the phone.

    I am so sorry to hear about your situation. It is totally not right and not fair. I am a newly wronged Verizon customer, and the Customer Service has been a nightmare for me as well.
    Thank you for sharing your story here. It is very important that people speak up about their experiences, both positive and negative. Have you heard about the United Breaks Guitars story? That is what happens when one person stands-up and details their experience with the world (albeit in a more popular forum than Verizon Forums, but still).
    (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Breaks_Guitars)
    Hopefully, Verizon will take some sort of remedial action with your case. If not, maybe they will change their policies, or better train their service reps, or hold more employees accountable when they make mistakes. If none of that, maybe people will be turned off of Verizon and choose to get their needs met elsewhere, perhaps by a company that lies less and treats customers better.

  • Dynamically set Analysis Services Connection Manager in a Fooreach loop [SSIS 2008]

    I am storing connection strings for "Analysis Services Connection Manager" in a database table and on run time i am fetching them all, storing in an object and iterating through them inside a Foreach loop. Variable gets updated with a new connection

    Is there any way we can set set Analysis Services Connection Manager Dynamically. I can done this with OLEDB connections and that works. But somehow it's not working for Analysis Services Connection manager. Can anyone please share his/her experience ?

  • How to set default services in cc.xml

    Hi,
    When deploying a repository manager, I can set the default services in a co.xml by setting
    <property name="services" value="properties,feedback,layout"/>.
    But how can I set the default values for services in cc.xml? I tried
    <attribute name="services" type="List" default="properties"/>
    but that doesn't take effect.
    Help appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Ray

    Hi Martin,
    Thanks, it works:) points rewarded.
    By the way, if I want to specify the default value of a property of type "
    class
    " to "<u>Not Set</u>", how should I write the cc.xml? I have this requirement because, by default, the <u>Property Search Manager</u> is
    com.sapportals.wcm.repository.manager.generic.search.SimplePropertySearchManager
    , which has something wrong in our EP.
    In my cc.xml I wrote:
    <attribute name="propertysearchmgr.class" type="class" constant="" />
    But failed. What should I do?
    Thanks,
    Ray

  • Set Web Service Call Timeout

    Hi,
    in earlier JDeveloper while creating a web service client we used to easily set the call timeout, but now we're using JDev 10.1.3, generating a proxy create a lot of new classes, moreover, the methods calls is not handled the same way it was, but we still need to set the call timeout.
    The automaticaly generated code is something like this:
    public MyServiceClient() throws Exception {
    ServiceFactory factory = ServiceFactory.newInstance();
    port = ((servicesource.proxy.MyServiceService)factory.loadService(servicesource.proxy.MyService_Service.class)).getMyService();
    this.setEndpoint("http://server/MyService");
    nothing extends neither implements the OracleSOAPHTTPConnection (which has the setTimeout method we used to use)
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    ahhh,
    is there any available explanation why it is not available anymore? specs?
    Calls are hanging now, what would be the defaul timeout value?
    it can't be changed programmatically? can't we modify it by some global variable/property/xmlFile ?
    thank you.

  • Set web service url

    Hi!
    I generated web service client using clientgen tool. This client is searching for webservice listening on url specified in wsdl. Is there any chance to change the target endpoint address like setting some property so there would be no need to generate client (with wsdl with new address) again?
    This is how i prepare call parameters:
    SfOXPReports_Impl service= new fOXPReports_Impl();
    SfOXPReportsSoap client= service.getSfOXPReportsSoap();
    // web service call
    SCReportMerge mergeResult= SCReportMergeDocument.Factory.parse(client.merge(mergeParam.xmlText())).getSCReportMerge();
    Any suggestion?
