Settings are noit set after installing Firefox 4.0

For example "canvas" on AOL changes randomly after being reset to one "canvas." Every time I exit www.games.com Firefox (not responding). Passwords have been corrupted. Also when adding new password Firefox 4.0 does not ask if I want password remembered. Unable to organize Bookmarks as with previous Firefox 3-something. Connection time between topics has slowed down and/or no longer works, and I have to sign off Firefox and re-open or I have to restart because all tabs open. How do I get back to previous Firefox, which was relatively trouble-free.

Looks like a problem caused by Lexmark print drivers doing a strange installation (Lexmark makes some of the Dell branded printers). Mozilla isn't going to revert the way Firefox looks for print drivers due to security concerns.

Must restart after installing firefox and kde...WHY????

Every time I set up an arch box, when I install firefox or kde (probably others) I must restart the computer before I can even execute them. This is mighty inconvenient and un-linux-like, I noticed that during the bootup, the Updating Shared Library Links takes a little longer after installing firefox or kde, is there a command I can run that does this after installing firefox or kde that dosen't require me to restart?

I wish pacman or the .install files would check to see if /opt/foo, the path that the package was just installed to, is in $PATH and automatically source /etc/profile if it's not. After installing Firefox 4, my Hotmail "home" page lost all it's formatting. The Hotmail/Live logon screen is normal, but after logging on I see all the links and such in one long line down the left of the page. If I click on any of the links, like to go to my Inbox or Calendar, the resulting pages have the same problem. I've cleared cache and such and tried again, but same problem.
Everything works fine in Firefox 3.6 and I.E. 8.
