Pl. tell me hoe to do settings for Parellel sequence in routing , if there are 4 opn s , 10, 20 ,30, 40 .
10,20,40 are in standard seq. , but  30 is in parellel with 20.
pl. revert.

Hi,
In your standard sequence, create operations 10, 20 & 40 as per normal.
Now click on Sequence icon (Ctrl + F5), then click on new & in the pop up box select parallel operation.
In the popup box give a meaningul description, give the branch & return operation as 0020. Now a parallel sequence is created, double click on this one & add the operation 30 in this.
You can go to the graphical view & check if it as per your need.
Hope the above solves the issue.
Regards,
Vivek

    I have not installed Quicktime.
I got a few scenes (.mov) from a Canon Eos 70d.
I want to create a short film (in Premiere CS4) with these scenes, mixed with photos and MP3 music.

    Dear guru ,

I don’t know which field and table of production order that give me the actual  sequence

  • Output to XDCAM HD - Audio Settings for Final Sequence?

    Hi,
If the approval gods are smiling, it'll be time to export several programs back to disc for a client in the next week or so. The original clips and the sequence are all at XDCAM HD 1080i60, 35Mbs VBR. I've ingested using Sony PDZ file transfer with a PDW-F75 deck, and everything looks/sounds great on approval QTs so far.
My question is on the audio settings for the final sequence on to XDCAM disc. I've got 2 tracks of talent audio, 2 of nat sound and 4 of music. If I understand the FCP manual correctly, I have to select 4 mono track outputs when doing a file transfer export of the sequence. What settings do I need to choose so that the mix I hear when I play back my sequence in studio is what anyone down the line will hear when they play back the final sequence I've exported to XDCAM disc? That is, if I've got 8 active tracks, what happens to them with the 4 mono track setting? Thanks very much for any suggestions and advice.
    Pat

Agree that the HDV downconvert in the camera is optimal.. but the darn print to video needs to work reliably to GET the hdv material back to the camera
i still have to use iMovie to get my files back to the camera in HDV...
FCP 5.0.4 still doesnt work well

  • Export settings for HD sequence

Have edited AVCHD(1920x1080 50i)imported using AIC codec in FCE. I want to export this sequence and keep the quality. I am using a WD Media player connected to my TV. If I export it as a QT movie the WD Player will not play the file. Have tried all different settings using QT Conversion but when I play the files on WD Media Player the video stutter, jerks and having interlacing problems. I had to bring the QT movie file to work where we have Mac with Compressor, exporting as an mpeg2 file and this file is playing very fine with good quality on the WD Media Player. Is there an export setting in FCE that would give the same result? Have tried Mpeg streamclip without success.

Use QuickTime Conversion and click the Options button.
For Size set 1920x1080 and in the Settings window select:-
    Compression Type . . . . H.264
    Frame Rate . . . . . . . . . Current
    Key Frames . . . . . . . . . Automatic
    Compressor Quality . . . High
    Encoding . . . . . . . . . . .Faster encode will give almost the same quality quicker - your decision!
    Data Rate . . . . . . . . . . Restrict to 5000kbps
These settings should give very good quality results fairly quickly, which should play well.
If you are using a self-powered USB 2.0 HD you should have no problems.
However, I have occasionally encountered intermittent play when first putting in a USB memory stick, but this has cured itself after a short while.
There may be similar problems with computer powered USB HDs, but I haven't tested them.
Exactly what type of HD are you using with the media player?

  • Recommended settings for TP-Link ADSL Router

    Hi Everyone,
After spending 6 months trying to troubleshoot the disconnections with my HH3, i've bitten the bullet and bought aTP-Link TD-W8951ND ADSL2+ router.
I've got the router up and working without any issues, but there are loads of settings that I'm unfamiliar with.  Rather than just poke and hope, I'll take any advice on how i conifgure this router to get the most out of my ADSL connection, and get most fro my Wifi coverage.
    Thanks in advance!

Ok, the situation has now become a nightmare.  Spent all last night suffering from Xbox live disconnects, and time outs.  Lots of Xbox codes, that all appear to relate to the response for their servers being too slow.  Tried forwarding all advised ports on the router but no improvement whatsoever.
Tried this on 2 xboxes in different parts of the house, both the same issues.  Also nticed that XBMC on media PC would not connect to content servers.  Internally, the streaming from my server to media PC seems better than ever.
Following morning tried xbox again, and it still times out.  Swapped the TP-Link router for my BT Homehub and getting the same issues, and it's still timing out.  Eliminated everything else from the set up, so that it goes router to xbox direct, nothing else plugged in.  This seems to have resolved the issues.  Tried again with a direct connection using the TP-Link but once again it times out.
It does all seem to point towards the TP-Link not working as expected.
    Anyone any ideas?

  • Settings for a sequence with files of various formats

    Hi,
I wanted to know your thoughts about the sequence settings (screenshot attached) for the list of cameras detailed bellow:
XDCAM, RED, Sony F5 RAW, C300, Canon XF105, Sony FS700 (AVCHD), 5D MK2, 5D MK3, Gopro, iPhone as source material.
Will the files of these formats play smoothly in the output file when placed in one sequence with the given settings? Thanks.

IF all your source footage from the listed cameras is at 25 or 50 frames per second, then all motion will play smoothly in a sequence with those settings. If you incorporate other (non-PAL) frame rates, the addition or subtraction of frames may be noticable with any motion.
Those sequence settings are very good to start a PAL project.

  • What are the correct settings for my wireless-n router?

I was just upgraded at home with a Huawei HG8245 Fiber Optic Wireless-N router.  The default Setting is:
    WPA/WPA2 Pre-Share, TKIP/AES, Auto Channel and 20Mhz Channel Width.
I cannot surf past 10 feet from the router.  I switched the Security to TKIP, and it goes to Wireless-G and I can surf all around my apartment.  I did AES only, goes back to Wireless-N, and again the 10 feet issue.  Selected WPA2 only...same thing.
    Any ideas or solutions?
    Paul

I have opened ports 80, 443,and 4125 to PCP.  The  router address is http://192.168.1.1, my address is 221.40.138.170.
    Thank you.

  • Quicktime Settings for Sequence

Oh, I'm quite disappointed. Having worked with FinalCut Pro for many years on my G4 Macs without problems, I needed the new software for my new Intel iMac. I thought it would be enough to buy FCE, but I miss hardly the Quicktime Video Settings for the sequence, which made an easy workflow with different formats. A lot of material waits in HD Foto-JPEG, others in H264. Do I have to render all these clips into Apple Intermediate Codec before I can start editing? This is a real kickback. Or are there hidden tricks? I'm still using Quicktime 7 Pro, so the codecs must be there anywhere.
    Thanks for any hints!
    Ingolf01

Thanks for reply. I found out that I'm able to edit by switching to "low" video playback settings, rendering follows anyway. No fun at all, as well as converting all raw material.
But - no; I had always good results by matching the sequence settings close to the original material, since my camera is recording QuickTime .movs with Photo-JPEG compression. For future projects I can of course switch to AVCHD format, but it's no better quality.

  • Scheduling of Parallel Sequence in Routing & Production Order

    Hello Friends,
I have gone through sap library & many other threads related to maintaining & scheduling of parallel sequence in Routing as well as Production Order.
    For the example, I have 3 operations : 0010,0020 & 0030.
I want to maintain 0020 & 0030 as Parallel Operations ( Parallel Sequence) i.e. for both operations I have maintained same lead times so that both should start & end at same time parallely.
First of all, I have maintained all operations in standard sequence 0 all 0010,0020 & 0030 operations and also maintained tick in Required splitting check box.
Same way , I have maintained operations 0020 & 0030 in Parallel sequence with branching operation as 0020 & Return operation as 0030. Ref. sequence i have maintained as 0 (Std. Sequence).
Now when I am checking in Graphic it is not showing both operation 0020 & 0030 as parallely scheduled and hence same is not reflected in Production ORder as well.
Kindly share your valuable views reg. what may be other settings for parallel sequence which I may be missing.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Tejas

    Hi Abhijt,
Thanks for your reply. I went through your thread & I followed same steps as mentioned by you in your suggested threads.
I have removed Parallel sequence fully & maintained Required Overlapping for all my 3 operations : 0010,0020 & 0030
I have maintained workcenters as below :
    0010 A  Set up 2.0 Hrs   Machine 5.0 Hrs   Labour 1.0 Hr
    0020 B  Set up 2.0 Hrs   Machine 5.0 Hrs   Labour 1.0 Hr
    0030 A  Set up 2.0 Hrs   Machine 5.0 Hrs   Labour 1.0 Hr
I checked scheduling in routing itself same way you suggested with start date today's date & forward scheduling it gives following results :
    0010 start time 07:00:00
    0020 start time 07:13:42
    0030 start time 09:14:39
My concern is with mainly start time of operations 0010 & 0020 since for both of these are processed on different workcenters A & B respectively then why not starting exactly on same time on 07:00:00 AM only instead another operation is starting on 07:13:42AM. I am unable to find how this difference of 13mins 42 seconds is coming.
Kindly provide your feedback. Also let me know if you need any more details.

    Tejas

  • WRT54GP2 security settings for HP Ipaq 111 handheld

I have a home wireless network, using a Linksys WRT54GP2 wireless router. I'm trying to secure the network, with has 3 wireless systems, my home PC, a notebook, and my Ipaq 111. I can get my home PC and the notebook to work when I setup the WRT54GP2 router using Authentication: WPA-Pre-Shared Key and Data Encryption: TKIP, but the Ipaq 111 will not even see the router with any security setting. When the security settings for the Linksys Wireless Router WRT54GP2 are disabled the Ipaq 111 sees the router and connects to the internet.
The HP Ipaq 111 handheld has the following security options: Authentication: Open, Shared, WPA, WPA-PSK, WPA2, WPA2-PSK. Data Encryption: Disabled, WEP, TKIP, AES.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to get the Ipaq 111 to work on the secured Linksys WRT54GP2 router?
    Thanks for any help.
    John

On your Router setup page, Click on the Wireless tab and below change the Wireless Channel to 11-2.462GHz and click on Save Settings, then click on the Sub tab Advanced Wireless Settings and below Change the Beacon Interval to 75,Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304,Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 and Click on Save Settings...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect to it on your Ipaq.

What is the model no of the Wireless Adapter you are using on the HP laptop...?
Have you tried updating the driver for the adapter...?
Try to adjust the wireless settings on the router...Open the setup page and  Under the Wireless tab,Change the Network Mode to mixed...Keep the Wireless Channel on 11-2.467GHz and click on save settings...Under the Advanced Wireless Settings, Change the Beacon Interval to 50,Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304,Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 and Click on Save Settings...

  • Best settings for film based 25fps PAL to Progressive 23.98fps NTSC?

I'm trying to get the best possible results for transcoding film-based 25fps PAL to 23.98 progressive NTSC. However, I'd also like to add back in the 4% slowdown to make the NTSC file look as close to an NTSC derived film transfer as possible.
I've tried various settings, but when I attempt the slow down the audio goes out of synch. Can anybody help? Are there any reference guides for such things?

Well it must be 24 over 29.97 then because it is working with it.  I have been able to create timelines and export quicktime movies, etc.  The item properties (in FCE Browser) of the clips definitely say 23.98fps-- as I would expect because I know I had the camera set to 24p.  However, the frame rate of the sequences i've been editing on say 29.97.  This is without me having made any conscious effort to manipulate any settings for the sequences at the outset-- I didn't even know the sequences had settings for this when i started.  I just began dragging and dropping footage out of the browser and it must have automatically set the sequence to 29.97.  Who knows what I had the Easy Set up set to when i brought the footage over from my camera two years ago.  I knew even less then.  Are the settings on Easy Set up critical when bringing the footage onto your computer from your camera?  What processes are the Easy set up settings governing?
Even with all of that said, you would recommend burning the DVD as an NTSC?  An NTSC in a new PAL DVD player will look better than an NTSC burned as a PAL?  I suppose I could send them both versions and see which one looks better.
    Thanks for you help Tom.
    P.S.
On the true 24p issue, I did find this:
There are many posts out there about the Canon XH A1 not having "true 24p".
I think much of that misinformation out there maybe stemmed from (correct me if I'm wrong):
Canon Frame Mode on the standard DV cams was a "simulation: of the 24 frame look.
The Canon HDV 24p actually records each single frame progressively, but using an interlaced method.

  • Project settings for avchd?

Need to get the highest resolution possible for a feature documentary.
Source clips are mostly AVCHD (1920x1080, 24 fps) coming off a Panasonic GH3
    1) The correct settings for the sequence? Apple Intermediate Codec 1920x1080 ?
    2) The optimal settings for exporting the highest quality file?
    3) The camera can capture at higher FPS but I've been advised there's no point to that. Is that correct?
    Many thanks!

What software are you using? This is the Final Cut Pro X forum. You might need the Final Cut Studio forum.

  • What Should my sequence settings for H264, 1280x720/30fps be.  Pro Res422?

I have a job coming up and an fully aware of the nightmare of editing H.264.  The footage I've got was shot on a flip camera.  H.264, 1280x720 at 30fps.  The deliverable is DVD.  Am I right in choosing ProRes 422 for the sequence settings?  I notice when comparing the clip in the browser window to the same clip in the viewer window, the clip in the viewer window looks a tad wider.  Is this a pixel aspect thing.
    My sequence settings are as follows;
    Under the General Tab;
    Frame Size: 1280x720
    Aspect ratio: HDTV 720p (16:9)
Pixel Aspect Ratio:  Square  (Anamorphic 16:9 is unchecked0
    Field Dominance: Lower (even)
    Editing Timebase: 29.97
    QuickTime Video Settings:
    Compressor: Apple ProRes 422
    Quality: 100
    Audio: 44.1

Shane, thank you for your reply.   I want to be sure I understand you correctly.  Convert the footage before bringing it in to FCP (compressor), or can I just render in the time line as I build the sequence?  I plan on exporting a same as file for use in DVD studio Pro for a deliverable.
