Settings icon has permanent (1) badge after iOS7 Update

So I updated my new Retina iPad to iOS7 and now I have a (1) in the upper right hand corner of the Settings icon that will not go away. I've gone through every section of settings, performed a hard reset, checked for additional updates (checked app updates as well) and the thing will not go away. Suggestions?

You can't turn off the notification badge for settings, and the reset settings did not work, it is still there.

That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

Bluetooth problems in car after ios7 update

Why will my iPhone 4 not pair with my car after ios7 update. It worked perfectly in my BMW 316d before the update. Any ideas please?

I have now performed "Reset all settings" on both iPad Air and iPhone 5S, using iOS 8.02. The 'interesting' side effect is an apparent wipe of my iCloud! All documents gone in Pages, Numbers and Keynote. Same with Notability, but at least I backed that up on Google Drive. I still have my pictures, I still have my music. Oh yeah, all my movies in iMovie (the ones uploaded on iCloud) - gone as well (at least they are backed up on a hard drive).
The good news is that I have now been able to reset all Bluetooth connections. This has enabled Airdrop, amongst other things. I still haven't tried to connect to my car.
I have an appointment with an Apple employee this evening to try to restore my iCloud.
No bashing - but Apple needs to work more on quality assurance on cloud based services.

Although it shows I am connected to the internet keep getting a message that unable to connect after IOS7 update. Any suggestions?

1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again.
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

NY Times update is "frozen" after ios7 update

after ios7 update,when in "Account Settings", the screen shows " Download Now- NY Times will now begin to download". When I tap "OK" the screen remains frozen. After the ios7 update, the NY Times app had an update which I think it is trying to download now.
I believe the "Account Settings" screen is for my iTunes account.

Fortunately, I discovered that just by shutting down the iPhone(holding down the Top button);
then restarting the iPhone; the freeze up was corrected. Ahhh

After IOS7 update, Extract software did not recognize device properly . Now iTunes asked me to restore iphone . I tried restoring.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software. If the errors persist on another computer and known-good USB cable, the device may need service.

AApple takes no responsibility for their updates causing harm to devices. See section 7.4 through 7.6
i see a lot of denial on this site when it comes to viruses, the same applies to apple updates messing up folks devices. Take it back to an apple store and it is likely the best you can hope for is a discount on a new ipad. Good luck. Hopefully someone here can help you with a fix.

Facebook birthdays not working after ios7 update?

Did you always have the same problem or is it new? I always used to be able to get Facebook to work on wifi with no issues for months. I downloaded the new software update for Revolution, and all of a sudden it seems like they blocked the Facebook app somehow unless you're on 4G. It really sux because I can't get into my Zynga games either that are tied to FB! Wish someone at Verizon could be aware of this and fix the problem.
Also, interestingly, when I try to log into the Facebook site with the browser I am directed to an error page. The browser works fine for every other site though. Really seems like there was some kind of block instated that will no longer let you use Facebook on a wifi connection.
