Settings needs to be selected twice, first tap just highlights it...

Haven't experience this on other parts of the phone but sometimes when I'm on Settings, when I select something, it only highlights the choice but doesn't really open that setting... No lags on the device but I need to press it one more time to actually enter the said setting...

Try dropping the --brightness switch, and set it with xbacklight instead From man xrandr:
--brightness brightness

It may be best to uninstall the current version to make sure that the registry gets updated properly.<br />
Otherwise it is possible that you still see the old entry in remove programs.

Need HELP with importing high definition tape

I am using Imovie 6HD - and trying to import a high definition tape from a CanonHV20. After importing the first tape I had a screen saying LETTERBOXING which went on for ever. I noticed it made black border tp/botom on the frames. I don't want that. What should I do - I have more tapes to import.
What settings do I need? As mentioned I used High Definition Tapes so I would like to have a high definition movie/dvd. Also after burning the dvd I suppose I can play that on any tv?? Please help with detail explanation!!

Prepare Your Mac for Sale
Boot from the OS X Installer Disc One that came with the computer. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select the startup volume from the left side list then click on the Erase tab. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) then click on the Options button. Select the one pass Zero Data option and click on the OK button. Then click on the Erase button.
Note: You can skip the Zero Data option if you are not concerned about removing sensitive personal data from the hard drive. If you choose to skip this part of the process then it is possible for others to recover data from the hard drive. The Zero Data procedure will prevent others from getting access to your personal information.
This process will take 30 minutes to several hours depending upon the size of the hard drive. After formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Now complete the OS X installation. At the completion of the installation do not restart the computer. Instead just shut it off. The next user will be presented with the Setup Assistant when they turn on the computer just as it would if new out of the box.

It is very much possible. Use Modif ID concept. First dont display any date, depending on radio button selected display date in which ever form u need.

When entering passcode on my iPad Air the first tap makes no sound

I have the iPad air. When keying in my passcode the first number never has the keyboard click sound yet the next three do. I use a 4 digit code. I have changed the passcode and the same issue on a different number. First tap has no sound.
Checked settings. Sound is on.
Have rebooted. After a restart the sound is on for the first entry of the passcode. Only clicks after a reboot.
Have turn click sound on and off.
Any ideas?

I need to divide selected row into multiple rows when i navigate to other page . Scenario - in first page i'm displaying some records with columns like empno , empstatus , empworkdepts ,curdepts
Here empworkdepts gives the numeric number like no of departments work shifts 3 or 4 or 5. when i select any particular employee and fire next button to navigate next page.I have to divide the selected employee with same information into multiple times based on the empworkdepts value.

You could do it as Carl suggested, with a couple of
corrections. You would need to include the CustomNo column in
the order by clause of your cursor. You would also need to add
a where clause to your update statement, otherwise everywhere
Region in the table would be updated with the same value of the
last CustomNo in the cursor, regardless of the CustomNo in the

Import settings needed for importing AVI and DVD into a DV project (FCE)

I'm new to FCE but have come from an Adobe Premiere background and I'm struggling a bit as I have a project that is half complete and I have exported from (windows) Premiere as an AVI (which I know I will have to put through Streamclip - btw couldn't export to quicktime for some reason).The rest will be mainly from DV camera and a small amount ripped from DVD using Aimersoft's dvd ripper. The problem is that I am trying to put it all in the same format so that the project runs smoothly but also keeping the number of conversions to a minimum. I am having trouble matching them all up and am using DV Pal as my main format.
I have 3 main queries:
1) When I import from DV camera it appears to convert it to a .MOV format (it lists that as a quicktime movie) using a DVC-PAL Codec, is this right?
2) I have imported my half complete AVI project through streamclip as a DV (DV25) PAL 720x576 16:9 clip but it needs rendering (it does play on the canvas though)...is there something I've missed?
3) I am trying to import the dvd parts through Aimersoft DVD Ripper and there seems to be no option for DV Pal. Do I need to import into another format and then use streamclip (once I get it working properly)? Or should I use another compatible app?
I have looked at handbrake but this seems to not support any of my needs for now. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help. I do have a few more queries if anyone can help. I've overcome the issue of transferring mid project by writing the project back to tape which seems to work well. I am having a problem importing from DVD now though using streamclip, I have imported it to the MAC no problem at all. However the project is a DV (PAL) Anamorphic project and despite importing the dvd at 720X576 (Unscaled and DVPAL settings both at 4:3 and 16:9) the clips still need rendering. I have further tapes to import which are anamorphic so need to keep the project settings as they are. I feel I am so near yet so far!

I would like an answer file to handle the minimum settings required for an SCCM 2012 operating system deployment of Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64-bit. Many of the examples I have seen include disk partitioning, language settings, enable the local admin account
and set password, allowing the admin account to login a certain number of times and so on. Task sequences handle most of this so I don't think I need everything suggested in the default recommendation that I have seen in many places including TechNet.
I don't feel like I need the disk partitioning recommendations in the answer file because the task sequence is already handling that part. No need to have this in the answer file, right?
I only need to deploy the English version of the operating system. My understanding that is if you don't use any language settings, the installation defaults to English. Is it safe to leave this information out of the answer file?
Does SCCM need the answer file to specify the number of times an admin can login to accomplish the OSD?
I think it would be necessary to maybe accept the EULA. I want our support contact information to appear in System Properties. Set the registered owner/organization.
My initial answer file was causing problems so I haven't been using one at all until a new one is created that won't cause OSD problems. Here is what I have set so far but would like to trim this down as much as possible:
1 - Windows PE: Set language to en-US and accept EULA
3 - Generalize: DoNotCleanTaskBar = True (not even sure what this does)
4 - Specialize: Enable Admin account, Set IE home page, set language to en-US, set OEM support info, DisableSR=1 (not sure what this does).
7 - oobeSystem: set language to en-US, set AutoLogon and Admin password, HideEULAPage=True, HideLocalAccountScreen=True, HideOEMRegistrationScreen=True, HideOnlineAccountsScreen=True, HideWirelessSetupInOOBE=True, NetworkLocation=Work, ProtectYourPC=1.
Could someone tell me how much of this is unnecessary for SCCM 2012 OSD? I'm pretty sure I don't need everything that is here because the task sequence covers part of these settings. What are the minimum settings needed here?

We were deploying Win 8.1 for a couple of months without an answer file but that doesn't help when you want certain things configured that an answer file will handle. My first answer file had too much going on and Win 8.1 didn't like it much.
My new answer file now sets our support information and registered user/org. Works like a charm.
EULA is being accepted, local admin is enabled, partitioning is being done correctly; all without the answer file handling it.

It was not legitimately unlocked by the carrier it was originally locked to. ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it.
In order to allow it to be used on a different carrier, the phone was hacked or jailbroken. An unauthorized modification was made to the phone. That modification has damaged the phone. You can not get support for it here or from Apple.

Selecting the first file from a group of opened files in Photoshop

Hi, I've been digitizing microfiche with 200 or so pages photographed onto one image file, laid out in a grid pattern. I've been using actions in Photoshop to cut out one page, create a new file in Photoshop from that page, then return to the first, master file and do it again with the next page in the series. So when it is complete I have each individual page as an individual image file which I then save with a batch process. I've been doing this for a while and have managed to make it work but I always run into the problem, when creating this action again, of getting Photoshop to select that first master file each time instead of selecting just the previous file. I know I can get it to select the previous file, or the previous file -1, -2, -3, etc. I've somehow been able to get this to work in the past by creating an action that selects a large enough group back, like previous file -19 or something, and through some bug or sheer luck it has worked and will always select that first file. But it doesn't always work and it always takes some frustration to luck into it when it does. Now I can't seem to get it to work at all. Is there a straightforward way I can simply tell it to select the first file everytime? If not, does anyone know how or why the method I used previously sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, and how I can make it work again? I'm using PS CS5 in Windows 7. Thanks!

Just put this code on a file and put that 'namedfile.jsx' inside the scripts folder on photoshop.
Open or re-open photoshop to load the script and create an action linked to a shortcut selected by you and save this script going to File>Scripts>namedfile.jsx
It is just to press the shortcut key and the active image go back to the image opened before.
When it is the first one it runs the script the same but it remains there.
Here is the script:
