Settings reset on close

when ever i close itunes since i upgraded to 7 it forgets all its settings and returns to its defaults.
this includes asking me to scan for music on my computer just like its a new install every time!
anyone else getting this or fixed it?

Hi I am having the exact same problem! Every time i restart my desktop, and click on Itunes, it asks to scan my library etc, and I have to go and change my preferences all over again. I am worried this may mess up my Ipod! Any solutions? It seems that that is not saving the session information at all. Could it be because of Norton 2007? I just recently got and that.

I installed gridwars from aur on x86-64. I also installed the entire lib32 group (although that was for various reasons not only gridwars). Everything seems fine except every time I close the game my high score and my configurations get reset. I was just wondering why this is happening and what I can do to fix it.
Also the only way to make my gamepad work with gridwars is if I link /dev/input/js0 to /dev/js0, but every time I reboot I have to do it all over again. How could I fix this? I assume there must be a way to make the game use /dev/input/js0 instead, I just don't know where to start.

Try a reset, hold the power button and the home button until you see the apple then let go. You will not lose any data, this is a simple reboot of the phone.

Revert to factory defaults: *#7780#
Soft reset: *#7370#
Hard reset: power off. Hold down '3', '*' and 'call'. Power on with those buttons pressed. Release them when the phone shows the nokia "handshake" logo or the language selection screen.
Do a backup first - these procedures will wipe your settings at least, and the resets will wipe everything in the phone's central memory (but not the content of the memory card).

ColdFusion Builder 3 Settings Reset on Restart

I've downloaded the ColdFusion Builder 3 trial and am experiencing some odd and very annoying behavior.
I've customized some code editor text font and color settings. I've added an entry to the CF Servers panel for an instance of ColdFusion 10 running inside a VMWare virtual server on my laptop.
When I restart Eclipse, all the code customizations I've made are reverted back to the default install settings and the entry in my CF Servers panel is gone.
I've been an IntelliJ user for well over a year, but in doing much more cfscript-based development the CF Plugin for IntelliJ is proving to be a hindrance so I thought I'd give CFB 3 a try and see if there were any improvements over CFB 2. However, I can't take this kind of behavior. Hopefully someone can give me a setting or someone else has seen this before and can give me an idea of where to start looking.
I have CF Builder installed as a plugin into Eclipse Kepler 64-bit for Mac. I added the CF Builder update site and have updated to CF Builder 3.0.0.290000. I also previously installed as the standalone version with no additional plugins and experienced the same behavior.
Anyone have any ideas?

My apologies for taking so long to get back to this. I just did some testing tonight of your instructions as well as those by Kaif above.
Firstly, I installed ColdFusion 10 locally on my Mac. I added the local server to the CF Servers panel successfully. After restarting Eclipse, the localhost entry remained in the CF Server panel.
Secondly, I followed your instructions to make a new profile and make my font/coloring customizations in it. I restarted Eclipse and my font and color selections were maintained (through 3 restarts). I noted that my newly created profile was selected in Preferences after each restart.
I then added a remote CF 10 server to the CF Servers panel successfully (as noted by the panel telling me that the server was running and being able to launch the CF Admin from within Eclipse). At this point there were 2 entries in my CF Server panel--localhost and the one remote server that lives inside my VM. I restarted Eclipse and when it came back up, only the localhost server remained. I might add that the VM has ColdFusion 10 installed in "multi-instance" mode and that the remote server instance that I added to the CF Servers panel was one of 4 CF instances configured and running inside the VM.
All the while, my font and color customizations have remained the way I set them.
So, it appears as though we're down to just one bug relating to remote server registrations in the CF Servers panel.
I saw that another user was reporting something similar in this thread: ColdFusion Builder 3 RDS and Remove Server settings reset on each restart so apparently it's not just me.
Thanks to you and everyone else for all the ideas and troubleshooting help thus far. At least at this point I think I might be able to use this for day-to-day coding, even though I really want the remote server system to work correctly so I can use the step debugger feature again.

Settings reset when Comp resta

Since downloading 2.8.0004, whenever I restart my computer ALL my sound settings reset to stock settings. (Volume settings, Mic settings, etc). So everytime I restart my computer I need to go through all my settings and put them back where I want them.... EVERYTIME. I tried to figure it out on my own, but I'm at my wits end.
Any help you guys could give me would be very much appreciated.

After installing the update make sure you reset all setttings. I have done a few updates now and have had much better sucess after settings reset all. Standby drain has been virtually eliminated from 2-4% hr before update. It is located in settings/reset//reset all settings. You loose some wifi and desktop settings, but data, apps, etc remain intact.

you don't really need to completely restore as new phone, but reset all settings in my experience and do a full drain and recharge. it is located settings -> reset -> reset all settings. this clears all the basic settings (i.e. wallpaper network, etc) back to default, but still keeps all of your apps, email and data as they were. when it reboots though choose "setup as new phone" after you go throught the basic questions (i.e. lang, location, siri ) setup. your apps, data will still be there as before.
still midway through my second day (east coast) and after nearly 5 hrs of standby and 30 minutes of data usage, battery is at 93%.

They tried all the exact same steps I did, took the phone apart and looked at and said it is in "pristine" condition. Base Station, Error 4 for any action, Factory settings reset didn't work

I decided to try my AirPort Base station (which was used by someone else before), and have changed some settings trying to make it work Now I keep getting that annoying error message with -4 error code when trying to connect to my base station, and can't make any changes whatsoever.
I have a Windows Vista OS, and an 4.1 Admin utility ( I tried to install a later version, but it kept saying I had to "install Windows XP or Vista first". (Kidding?!)
I did both a soft reset and a factory settings reset (although I don't know how I did the latter, since both pressing the resed button for 5 and 30 sec did not work. Anyway, the station's name has changed to its serial N, so I did the reset somehow
The station's IP address in the Admin Utility begins with 172. and the same IP ip address I have in my network settings. I guess I had changed the ip somehow, and that's where the problem started... Anyway, I can't enter the configuration window to change anything.
Any ideas?

Well, as I said I believe the problem is the ststion's new ip address, but I don't know how to change it.

After draining battery, Safari cookie settings reset

I am having an issue where the Safair Cookie settings reset after draining the battery. Is anyone else seeing that? Is there any work-a-round to prevent that from happening.
The Accept Cookies gets set to "Never" which makes it hard to do things like GMail, etc..
It also happens on my wife's phone which is running iOS 5.0.1.

Last night, before I went to bed I checked gmail. It worked perfectly. I double-checked that cookies were set correctly. The phone was on the charger all last night. When I woke up Accept Cookies was again set to "Never" and gmail wouldn't load.

I'm going to assume the reason your able to get them at home is because your connected to wifi?
Can you do anything else when connected to cellular data?
Have you contacted your cell phone provider re: the issue.

IOS 7 keyboad freeze also after settings reset

After updating to iOS 7 on iPad 2 the keyboard is slow or freezes.
Settings reset helps until you re-enter your password!
Please help! The iPad has become useless without a keyboard!

You probably need to do a soft reset.
Reset iPhone
Note: This will not delete any data.
To reset iPhone, hold down both the Home button and the Lock button until you the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears.
This should solve your problem.
