Settings Sync Function

I've enabled all items in Settings Sync in CC 2014 to sync and was wondering if this insures I'll have the same working environment (custom panels, menus and etc.) across two different systems when PS CC 2014 is launched on either system and loaded - assuming I invoke sync when I make any changes. If this isn't the case would I be better off just syncing the entire Photoshop CC 2014 folder in user library preferences?

What I've learned since they was never any reply here.
The only things I know of that Do Not Sync are:
1) Preferences > Interface
2) Preferences > File Handling
3) Extension Manager CC - anything like custom panels that were installed using this application
Does anyone know of anything else that has value?
Now if we can only get Adobe to create a function like this for Lightroom!

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

I have lost all data on my iphone by mistake. I needed to restore the phone and I didnt realize my back-up was 1yr old, and now the phone is restored and I've got a year old contact list and iMessage chat history. Luckily my iMessage on the Mac is still valid and has all the chat history. My question is how can I restore iMessage chats on my iPhone 4 from my Mac? I have all the chat history on my Mac, but there seems to be no sync function from Mac to iphone. Please advice.

If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.

Installing games and adding items needing sync function mannually

I hate the sync function on iTunes because I don't store half of my items on my computer and am always moving things around and manually editing id3 tags in iTunes and Syncing deletes things and returns the tags to what they are on the file itself. I want to purchase games from Itunes but add them manually. Can you manually add anything to your ipod and if so how?

How does the sync functionality work with large libraries?
Say I sync 100gb of photos with the new Photos app and turn on sync on a 16gb iphone. Will it fill the device up to 16gb? Can I tell it to limit to xgb so I leave room for music and apps? How does this work? Will it slow down my phone if its trying to sync 100gb across smaller devices?

"Will the Apple TV now read directly from the Time Capsule?" ATV does not 'read' from the TC. It connects to the Mac and itunes library associated with the Mac. Of course the itunes program can 'point' to a library on the TC. You'll still need to have itunes open and the Mac powered on and not sleeping with the TC mounted to the Desktop to use ATV properly. So bottom line the use of TC just adds one more step to view files on the ATV.

How do I import Firefox user settings from old computer to new computer without using sync function?

the motherboard on my old Mac G4 powerbook died but i have access to its hard drive contents, including the files located in Application Support>Firefox. I want to import these profile settings into my new Firefox on my new iMac 2011. Which files do I move over so that my new Firefox has the settings/bookmarks/add-ons as my old Firefox?

Install FEBE from Add Ons in FF on old computer. Back up entire profile. Also install FEBE in FF on new computer. Copy FEBE backup folder to new computer. "Restore" from FEBE. All of your settings, including cookies, passwords, etc. will be "restored." Note that on the new computer, you'll need to create two profiles: the default one you'll use on a regular basis and one to use for the restore.

How can I undo an add-on settings sync?

I use Firefox Sync. As far as I can tell, bookmarks synced well. Tabs didn’t but that’s probably due to having opened to many on my main machine. Also add-ons synced i. e. the Firefox on a Ubuntu laptop now has all the add-ons that my home computer Firefox has. Unfortunately, the sync reset all of the settings in some add-ons. So, for example, in LeechBlock the list of websites that I’d like to block, the schedule and all the rules are gone. How can I undo the last sync? Or is there a way to make my main computer the master in all syncs?

The prefs that are set by an extension are usually not included in the Sync, so you get the default setting if you sync an extension from one computer to another.
Only prefs that have a corresponding services.sync.prefs.sync.* pref that is set to true will be synced to other devices.
If you want to sync additional prefs then you can create a corresponding Boolean sync pref yourself and set the value to true.

ICal Sync Functionality

Testing my setup with Snow Leopard MBP at home, iPhone at home and Snow Leopard Server on Xserve at the office. I have iCal server setup up on my xserve at my office. I have push notifications enabled for iCal. I created a test calendar on my MBP at home to sync with iCal server and it seems to work fine. However, it does not seem to be syncing in a push fashion to and from my iPhone. I added the calendar to my iphone, and they sync with each other, but not in the "push" sense you would think.
If I put an event on one device, it seems that to get it to show on the other device, you either have to quit the app and restart it - or wait a sufficient amount of time before it appears. This is fairly disappointing, because I want to have confidence that every time I glance at my iCal on the iPhone that it's got the correct information- I plan to have my assistant manage my calendar. We have been doing it now, relying on a $10 utility and mobileme and it works better than our current server setup.
Also tested created an event from the web from home via the pages served by the server and same issues.
I may have misunderstood the iCal functionality? Anyone have any thoughts?

Option to select/deselect "SYNC" function no longer exists on Windows 7

iTunes, version 9 (64 bit) no longer has an option to select/deselect "SYNC." I can choose to manually sync & if I REINSTALL iTunes, it RESETS to AUTOMATICALLY SYNC, but the option to choose AUTO-SYNC mode still does not appear.
In the past, this function was available. SYNC funtions fine, but this feature is no longer available.

This is resolved. Probably obvious for most but coming from windows 7 I didn't know. For anyone who finds this on a search if you will go to windows update and on the left select recovery, then under advanced setup click on restart now. When this menu
finally loads you will have the option to change this here. Somehow mine was set from a 30 second menu to 0. I didn't change it or if I did I don't remember it. Any, Cheers!

Why does Firefox remember the pages I've visited, even though I am using different computers? I've never used the sync function. I don't want my computer at work to be synched with my personal computer at home

My computer at work remembers the pages I've visited even though I visited the pages while I was using my computer at my home. I don't know how or why this is happening, and I don't like that it is in sync with my computer at home - I have never used that function.
For example - When I type in "the methodist hospital" into the search bar using the computer at home, all the search results come up from Google, so I click on the links and take a look around on the websites/pages. The next day, I walk into work, and I type in "the methodist hospital" again in the search bar, and when the results come up - it indicates in gray lettering that "[I] visited this page [yesterday's date]."
Please explain why this is happening and what I must do in order for it to stop. It is scary knowing that my browsing history is remembered using 2 completely different computers. Needless to say, I don't want my boss thinking I'm just surfing the web all day at work.

if i have to read any comment by matt n again i will throw up...in my mouth. i have gone all over google trying to figure out what the f ff did to me without my permission, i have updates turned off so there should be no prompting to restart, there should be a polite offer not a forced update. i am angry and so are a ton of people.
everytime i go to a new complaint, another angry fellow ff user there is matt n with his infuriating smiling little picture...telling me about the awesome safety and security of the new ff...ignoring that a supposed safe but ugly and unusable browser is worse than a customized, beautiful, well functioning browser...with supposed safety issues. i am so angry i cannot express how this has wasted my time. i have been online for 2 hours now figuring out how to fix, apparently i cannot. my old theme is not compatible now...so i am screwed.

WdDoExit and Sync functionality for Mobile Offline Application

Hoping for some insight here.
First of all, this is my requirement. Reservation Items are downloaded to the client. Any unposted items need to be uploaded as well as the posted items. So really, one sync would download them all and another sync should upload them all back. The modify bapi wrapper will unlock these unposted items for other people to pick.
What I understand is that the nodes on the client have to have an attribute changed in order to be uploaded to the backend for validation. Is there a setting that can be set to upload all items? My guess is this wasn't how the offline stuff was designed.
If not my solution is to update all Reservation items that have not been posted. I'm doing this on the exit of the application in the wdDoExit function. However, I was hoping to pop the user a message and have them decide if they actually wanted to exit. In case they exited by mistake. Is there a way to cancel an exit?
I appreciate all ideas.

I am sitll not clear about the issue you are facing but here are some facts about the mobile client 7.1
a) As and when a CRUD happens on a node element for a data object node and a commit is called, sync messages are automatically created. These messages for create,update,delete operations are sent to DOE In the next sync cycle and any changes from DOE are also recieved and consumed in the same sync cycle.
b) wdDoEXit methods on application controller & view controller are relevant for performing any final steps on exit which can be also used to commit also.
c) Use OCARoot.getInstance().commit() for committing any unsaved changes done in the application. All unsaved changes across any data object will be saved.

Settings sync fails

After upgrade to Premiere Pro 2014 I get this (Adobe Premiere Pro: Syncing failed):
I have checked my login details and they're correct, but just to be sure I reset my CC password and tried again.
My computer's date and time are set correctly and Creative Cloud Status is 'normal'

From an iMac Intel Core i7 running Mac OS 10.7 and Firefox 7.0.1 I'm trying to sync to a Power Mac G5 running Mac OS 10.5.8 and Firefox 3.6.23, the highest versions available for non-Intel Macs. Is the sync function available between these two computers?

How do I turn off the Safari syncing function when syncing my iPod Touch to iTunes

I can't seem to find a way to continue to sync my iPod Touch to my Mac without it automatically syncing over the iPod's Safari bookmarks to my Safari on the computer. I want to keep this bookmarks separate but every time it still wants to sync the Safari data on the iPod to the Safari data on the Mac. Thanks!
