Settings with Lexicon Omega soundcard??

Hey AA fam!!!
I've been trying to learn the producing craft for about a year and a half now. I use FL Studio 8 (with a Lexicon Omega external soundcard) to make my music and I render my wav files into Adobe Audition 3.0 where I do my mixing and mastering; I really enjoy using AA because it is very user friendly. Hence my thread.....
So here is predicament:
While I am in the Multitrack View, I load my wav files in the main tab and everything seems to be fine. I can press play and the audio plays back like normal. Then I start adding effects to the mixer and I find that the more effects I start adding, the worse the audio gets when I hit the playback. I start to get underruns left and right. Sometimes the audio is fine depending on what effects i'm using, but for the most part the audio starts to go haywire.
I have an HP desktop (2 gigs of ram) and I use a Lexicon Omega for my soundcard. I know I don't have the best computer, but i'm pretty sure my cpu isn't my problem. My guess is the audio hardware setup and preferences is off in AA. I also use my external soundcard with FL8 and I don't get this problem at all.
So if anyone who also uses Lexicon Omega (or anyone who has a good idea) can please help me out, I'd truly appreciate it.

If the transport fails (ie, you press play or record and the cursor doesn't move), then for whatever reason, the audio device's driver isn't communicating with Audition. If the transport works, but you can't hear anything, then this means that inputs and outputs on the device aren't allocated to the tracks you are using.
Really, it's the ASIO drivers you should be using - this is the way you will get access to all of the I/O on the Lexicon. When you arm a track to record, you should check in the track's settings that the correct input is showing, otherwise silence is what you will record! So start with Edit> Audio Hardware setup, select ASIO and make sure that all inputs and outputs show for both multitrack and edit views, and then in the individual tracks, select the input and output you want.
If you've done all this and it still doesn't work, report back.

Audition 3.0 recording with Lexicon Omega problems

I have used Audition for quite a while with the Lexicon Omega quite flawlessly untill this evening, I sat down to record some things this evening and when I armed the track and pressed record, nothing happened, I saw no audio level coming into the track from the microphone but could hear it through my speakers and see the level lights on the omega working fine. upon further testing, I discovered that I cannot play audio either. I found a posting where someone had had a similar issue with the mac version and it sugessted renaming the audition folder where the settings are kept which I did and it reset all of my settings as expected and it would then work with the built in audio for the computer, I changed the drivers from WDM to the Omega ASIO and the issue reappeared. I uninstalled the Omega drivers and reinstalled them but to no avail! I cannot imagine what is going on with this, I had just used it yesterday and everything was fine! has anyone ever seen an issue likethis or have any suggestions as to what the resolution may possibly be?

No Signal from Lexicon Omega to Logic Studio

I'm not getting a signal in Logic Studio from my Lexicon Omega. I'm getting output from Logic to the Omega but not input from the Omega to Logic. I went to Preferences/Audio and change the inputs to the Omega but still the meters in Logic don't respond to my speaking into a mic. The meters on the Omega light up and sound comes out my monitors but no signal to Logic. Any help?

If by record enabled the track you mean "clicked the little "R" and made it red", yes I did. The track in Logic says "Input 1" above it and I'm pretty sure that's the Lexicon's input.
I have my mic going into the preamp going into the Omega going to my Mac.

You can change the account shortname to whatever you wish to use.
As you can see from my example above. Once you click on the Create User button a new account will be created.
She will need to get her own Apple ID setup so when she starts with iTunes she can open her own iTunes account unless you both want to share the use of the same Apple ID. This can create a bit of confusion if you have your own iPads or iPhones or iPods. As you have discovered it's pretty much one iDevice with one Apple ID.
As for the iTunes library that becomes a more complicated issue.

How do I get to settings with a non-functioning home button - iPod touch5

My daughter dropped her iPod touch (gen. 5) and now the home button is not responsive. It will not 'click'. It is not stuck, it seems to have lost a piece under the home button and now is very loose and constantly down. I am trying to use the 'home button app/screen setting' but I can't get to the settings screen because her iPod is in an app that I can't shut down. There is no way to go 'home' or to 'settings' with out the home button.

Without the Home button being functional enough to access Settings and to turn on the Accessibility function which could provide an on-screen Home button, there is not much you can do.
Take it in to get it repaired.

Photoshop CC 2014.2.1 can't sync settings with Creative Cloud

Good day,
Photoshop CC 2014.2.1 can't sync settings with Creative Cloud for some reason. I'm signed in, no firewalls, the router is fine. Other apps, Premiere Pro for example, sync without issues.
Photoshop keeps saying "Connecting to Creative Cloud..." with uploads starting, but nothing is happening. I've left it in this state for an hour just in case. Is there a workaround or a fix?

For what it's worth I have access to a second computer with the correct sync settings (which I synced to the Cloud, so the Cloud should now have my desired sync settings), but PS on my first computer still refuses to show anyway to apply these settings.
I'm downloading the 2014 release now but it shouldn't really be necessary. This is so frustrating, especially when the Adobe PS sync help page only applies to the 2014 release (I can't find any sync help for the previous versions anymore).

Can you save print settings with a PDF?

I have an 8.5"x14" PDF. Is there anyway to save default print settings with this PDF so if a user opens it on their machine it defaults to printing to 8.5"x14" paper? Right now it always defaults to the standard 8.5"x11". I'm not sure this can be done because it seems like more of a specific users machine thing. I don't think you can save print settings with a PDF can you?

The "auto-formatting" of a hardcopy print format is generally the realm of the output device, in this case the printer. Printer software gereally includes an auto-format feature that selects the proper bin. For those who only have a "letter" tray, it usually asks to feed the right format manually, or switch trays. This is not a PDF feature but an output device feature.

Due to hard disk crash i formatted my hard disk, also deleted all partitions including HP Tools and HP Recovery partitions. But I have my recovery DVD of my notebook that i have created at the time of notebook purchase.
When i Inserted First Disc of my RECOVERY DVD's ..WIndows installation started and recovery manager shown the error : "The System recovery media does not support this computer. you are not able to restore this system with media."
Please assist me to how to recover my notebook at factory - out of box settings with recovery DVD's.

Do you have Lock Rotation turned ON? This creates an icon that has a circle with arrow around a lock. See the control panel to turn off Lock Rotation (swipe up from the bottom of the screen to show the Control Panel).

I had Romanian obyc settings in SAP BEST PRACTICE , but for Poland same

Push Microsoft Word settings with ARD

Can someone tell me how to push Microsoft Word settings with ARD?
Basically I have been tasked with figuring out how to default save as .docx in Office 2008 and Office 2011.
I have 50+ users and I'd like to be able to push this settings change using ARD.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Basically what I was told:
That particular setting is stored in the following file:
/Users/USER_NAME/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.Word.plist [likewise for PowerPoint and Excel]
However, be aware that you'd also be replacing several customizations that they may have, as well as other parameters (like last folder used). Perhaps it would be better to access each machine, load up Word and set whatever setting you want through the Screen Sharing feature.

I got a macbook off of a friend with all the proper disks, did the installation and set up and did all the updates. Now after having restarted the computer with the new updates I'm trying to install iworks(it always asks for the admin. name and password), but it keeps saying that I have the incorrect administrator name or password yet I can log on and off just fine. Is there any way I can fix this or reset it to the factory settings with out having to use the disk?

OK, then you can try this instead:
I lost my admin user (OS X 10.5)
If you are unfortunate enough to delete your only admin user, or remove his admin capability, then as long as you have another user with login capability, you can give that user admin rights as shown below. Print this post out in a mono-spaced font, and type carefully, paying attention to spaces and punctuation, since you cannot copy/paste in Single User mode. Caution: in single user mode you have root privileges. Be careful!
Substitute the name of 'youruser' below.
Boot into single-user mode which will eventually get you to a shell prompt (ending in #). Then type the following (Press RETURN after each command):
/sbin/fsck -fy
Repeat the above until it says your disk is OK. Then continue with
/sbin/mount -uw /
/usr/bin/dscl . -merge /groups/admin users youruser
If you get a message saying "invalid path", then type these two commands first:
/usr/bin/dscl . -create /groups/admin gid 80
/usr/bin/dscl . -create /groups/admin passwd '*'
and then repeat the "dscl ... -merge" command.
Then:
reboot
You will now be able to login as 'youruser' and have administrative privileges. Membership of the 'admin' group is the only thing that distinguishes administrative users from ordinary users.
