Settlement rule determination in case of FXA

Hi Experts
My project is meant for settlement to asset.
W.r.t. Networks, the settlement rule can be automated using strategy as 'receiver is WBS'.
But, can we automate settlement rule determination except the specification of receiver for WBS?
Because, each WBS is to settled for individual sub asset
warm regards
ramSiva

Hi Virendra
In my case, the client is initially creates CWIP assets manually (Capital work in progress, nothing but the AUC, however it can be seen as fixed asset)
The CWIP assets can be more in number per project (one for each WBS or activity)
Until completion of project, the settlements are made to CWIP assets.
At completion, the transfer of all CWIP's to fixed asset is carried out in asset accounting.
So, the different assets are available initially, but need to be manually assigned.
Any standard program interface to upload based on the project strucxture?
warm regards

    1)While Releasing the Work order.
2)To redetemine settlement Rule i.e. I need to over wrtie a filed in Settlement rule i.e. "Setllement Reciever" with Cost center value.
    3) Overwrite the default costcenter value in Location Tab with custom field value.
    Thanks in advance,

  • How settlement rule will be created for Sales order with cost object

    Dear Experts,
We are using product cost by sales order with valuated stock. In addition we are not using COPA
We also consume some materials at sales order level and at the end of month we want to do the result analysis and settlement for the same amount. In this case can any on explain how system will behave regarding settlement of sales order cost and what entries will get pass in the system.
In our case we have done below activities...
    we have created sales order,
All production order activities completed till final GRN including month end activities
    Material consumption against sales order
    Result analysis executed
At the time of sales order settlement, system throwing error (Sender doesn't have valid receiver, please create settlement rule for sender object)
Then i checked in sales order there sales order settlement rule not defined.
I guess this settlement rule need be generated by system automatically. If not, please let me know the process of it.

    HI kishore
the reason is that sale order always carry the revenue  and production order and production period carry the cost .
cost you can settle to the Material and even management want  to be settle the cost to material only in production order OR period
but in sales order  when u sell the product it carry the revenue not the cost and management want see and analysis based on profitability segment are profit center level .
    Prerequisites
If CO-PA is active, the system generates a settlement rule when you create the sales order. The settlement rule determines whether data is settled to other objects or other areas in Controlling. In accordance with this settlement rule, the relevant data is settled to CO-PA.
If CO-PA is not active, create a settlement rule. This settlement rule that you create manually normally contains a G/L account as a receiver (such as 399999). You can also settle costs and revenues or results analysis data to objects with revenue.
You can also settle the cost of sales calculated in results analysis to a fixed asset or a cost center. To do this, you must add to the allocation structure the results analysis cost elements under which the cost of sales is updated to the order.
The settlement rule includes a distribution rule for the sales order item. The distribution rule is made up of a settlement receiver, a settlement share, and a settlement type:
The settlement receiver (such as profitability segment or G/L account) specifies the object to which the actual costs and revenue of the sales order item are settled. The settlement receiver can be proposed through the settlement profile.
The settlement share defines the percentage or the equivalence numbers used to distribute the costs to the individual settlement receivers. The settlement share for sales order items is usually 100%. A settlement share of 100% is preset in the system.
The settlement type specifies full settlement of the sales order item. This ensures that all the data on the sales order is available for results analysis.
Settlement still takes place in each period. The revenues and the cost of sales are transferred to CO-PA by period, and the work in process and the reserves are transferred to FI.

    Dear Virendra,
    Thank you for your replay.
I need few more inputs from you if possible, since I and my ABAR never work on BAdI before.
Like, after creating BAdI I need to Run CJB2 again in order to generate settlement rule or rules will generated automatically say after release, of a Project or Project WBS?
Did I need make strategy to generate the settlement rule in that case??
It will be great help if you forward some documents or links related to it.

  • Automatic Generation of Settlement Rules for PM order

    Hi All,
I am doing a maintenance orders settlement and I have the fallowing issue:
My client has 2 types of equipment, namely vehicles and industrial equipment. Both have particular rules.
For vehicles, we need to control all cost by an internal order
Industrial equipment costs will be control by cost center.
So, cost center is maintained for industrial equipment, and Settlement Order for vehicle equipment.
I have a unique order type for which in Settlement profile I have entered Order and Cost Center as 'Settlement Optional' and default object type as CTR.
When I create a PM order for vehicle, system cannot generate automatically the settlement rule, because in order type I have entered default object type as CTR and in equipment I just have the Settlement Order.
But if I create a PM order for industrial equipment system create automatically the settlement rule, because cost center is maintained for industrial equipment and order type has default object type as CTR.
In the allocation structure I have a receiver category for CTR and ORD.
So, Could you help me how to generate automatically settlement rule for both cases without 2 order types?
    Thanks & regards,
    Hélder Nunes

    hi
i think it is not possible to generate settlement rule based on equipment ,if you have specified the default settlement category in IMG ,it will be generated .
check with your technical team whether user exit IWO10027 can be mapped

  • Settlement rule for order

hi co guru sir....kindly guide me to maintain  settlement rule for production order. steps by steps..plz..
problem is this when i create planned order to production order ..first  screen open for maintain settlement rule...i have maintained..but may be wrong...
plz guide me for maintain the settlement rule........
    thanx
    regards
    Aqueel

    Hi,
Settlement rule determines which portion of the costs on a sender should be settled to which receiver(s).
You need to create a settlement rule to settle the actual costs of a sender object. The settlement rule contains the distribution rules for the sender.
    Structure: The settlement rule contains:
    - One or more distribution rules
    - The settlement parameters for a sender object.
    Creating a Settlement Rule:
You previously had to maintain the settlement rule for internal orders manually. Now the system can automatically generate settlement rules for internal orders.
    Procedure:
    1) Choose Settlement rule in the master data maintenance for the relevant sender object.
The Maintain Settlement Rules: Overview screen appears.
If you stored a default for account assignments in the settlement profile then the system displays the existing distribution rules. The settlement receiver is the object type you stored as an account assignment default in the settlement profile.
You maintain settlement rules in Customizing under Controlling -> Internal Orders -> Actual Postings -> Settlement -> Maintain Settlement Profiles.
    2) Choose Edit -> New rule or enter the value directly.
Specify how the sender object costs are to be settled to the various settlement receivers:
    - By percentage
    - By equivalence numbers
For distribution rules of the same settlement type (periodic or total) you need to determine the portion using either percentage rates or equivalence numbers.
Specify the settlement type for each distribution rule.
The system defaults the settlement type depending on the receiver, for example PER for cost center, FUL for fixed asset. You can overwrite the default value, if required. When you save the sender object, you automatically save the settlement rule.
    I hope it will help.
    If helpful, please assign points.
    Regards,
    Manju

  • Unable to assign AUC as settlement type in settlement rule for FXA category

    Dear Experts,
One of my requirement is that one WBS has several actual posting for AUC of different types and settle through CJ88. Investment profile is not in scope.
To run the above scenario, i created AUC manually via AS01 of different types. When i create settlement rule manually for that WBS i can't see the settlement type "AUC" for FXA category. I can see only the settlement type of "PER and FULL". 100% settlement should be done for all AUC posted for  that WBS at the time of each period closing.
Could you help me to resolve this issue asap?
    Regards
    Vetri

    Hi,
To get AUC in settlement rule , you need to allow settlement at wbs level which use to be controlled in settlement profile. Also you wont find AUC but u will find fixed asset-  FXA.
One more thing settlement rule come automatically when you run the settlement first time as captilisation. You will get the settlement rule automatically.

  • Determine settlement rule application

    Hi Folks!
I'm trying to find out how can you determine when a settlement rule has been applied to an element from a PS project.
I've tried researching on table COBRB but I haven't found any difference between an element that has a settlement rule applied and one that hasn't. Initially I thought that with the field Konty would do the trick, but I realized it won't work because in an element that has not been applied and in one that has been applied they are the same konty. Other thing is that I don't get why they are registers on the table for elements that no settlement rule have been applied on this table.
    I will appreciate any help.
    Thanks in advise.
    Regards,
    Gilberto Li

    Hi,
You can use function module K_SETTLEMENT_RULE_EXISTENCE for it.It requires a import parameter which can be obtained from PRPS table corresponding to a WBS element.
Even you can directly refer the table COBRA for checking the settlement rule existance.
    Hope this helps you.
    Thank you.

  • Automatic settlement rule for receiver 'Fixed asset' (with out IM)

    Hi Experts
I am working with project settlement to a fixed asset.
I have defined a selttlement profile in which, FXA is the only valid receiver.
Please note that we do not use Investment managent and hence no automatic AUC.The predefined asset to be used for settlement.
In this situation i am unable to generate settlement rule automatically as like the case with CTR.
    The below message is experienced.
"Enter a distribution rule for Asset without a validity limit"
However i have manually maintained the settlement rule with specification of appropriate asset as receiver and settled.
In this scenario, how to ensure that the settlement rule is automatically generated, any where can we refer the fixed asset?
    warm regards
    ramSiva

    Hi,
Settlement rule cannot be automatically maintsined, you have to maintain manually, for example if you want to settle to fixed asset, how the system know to which fixed asset it should settle. You have to maintain settlement parameter manually.

  • Internal order settlement rule

    Hi Friends,
We have a internal order type with investment measure for AUC. When I create a internal order it is creating a AUC in the background but no settlement rule is updated. I released the order, posted some values and ran KO88 ( with and without TECO status) but still settlement rule is not updated with AUC. It is not even allowing me to update settlement rule manually with the AUC.  Also in the settlement rule, I don't see AUC in the object type, but I see a FXA, not sure if it is an issue. Thanks in advance
    Edited by: nspv81 on Dec 7, 2010 10:05 PM

    Hi,
The system design does not offer the settlement type "AuC" for manually created settlement rules. This is correct.
AuC-settlement rules can only be created by the system automatically if the order/WBS-element has an investment profile with the flag "Manage AuC" set. The investment profile can be reviewed in transaction OITA.
If this is the case then the system will create the AuC rule during the FIRST run of a periodic settlement (update run) by    automatically taking the AuC as a settlement receiver.
If you do however not use the investment profile you need to maintain a fixed asset settlement rule and enter the asset number manually.

  • Problem to generete settlement rule automatcaly in the WBS

    Hi people,
Could you help me about the subject below?
For some reason, when we create a new wbs, it was not created the settlement rule automatcally. ( For the other one it runs OK, only for one WBS it was not ok).
So we tried to execute the transaction CJB2 to generate the settlement rule.
We have analysed the Forun and find: http://scn.sap.com/thread/1407279. We try to apply the piece of the change program about the flag ex.: INVMA.
But when we execute the CJB2 and do the things there is in this forun, the system create the settlement rule with CTR (cost center) instead of FXA (Asset).
Do you have some suggestion how we can do to create the settlement rule with FXA by transaction CJB2?
    Thanks,
    RN
    ==============================

    Hi RN,
    Check the setting:
Project System - Costs - Automatic and Periodic Allocations - Settlement - Settlement Rule for Work Breakdown Structure Element - Determine Strategy for Settlement Rule
    Hope it helps.

  • About Generating Settlement Rule in Customer Project

    Hi Experts,
I am doing the exercise of customer project T-100## in CA830.
While generating the settlement rule, the error log appeared: No profitability segment could be determined for the billing elements. So the settlement rule generation failured.
May somebody guide me how to solve this problem.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Balakrishman,
In my case, the fields of Business Area/Profit center have already been maintained. I think there must be other reasons that result in these error. Hope we can discuss further. Thank you for your help!

  • Why we need PCC why not we can go thru settlement rule

Why we need PCC why not we can go thru settlement rule pl. expian

    Dear R M,
Already you have posted the same thread 2 months back, first reply on that.check the below given link,
    [PCC - KKF6N|Re: what is use of CK11n & KKF6N transaction codes]
PCC- Product Cost collector is a cost object in REM scenario,PCC's can also be used in Discrete
Manufacturing scenario's also.Where the cost will be settled periodically.
Standard Settlement Rule :Rule that determines which portions of a sender's costs are allocated to which
    receivers.
A settlement rule contains distribution rules, one or more of which are assigned to each sender. In most
cases, there will be one distribution rule for each receiver.
If your question is answered means give suitable points and then close the thread as answered.

U can use the user exit
COPCP005 and its function exit EXIT_SAPLCKAZ_001. Try this out....
Or choose any one options from the below list which suits ur requirement:
    Develop Enhancements for Material Costing
The following SAP enhancements are available for the area Cost Estimate with Quantity Structure:
    o Costing Reports (SAPLXCKA)
o Costing Production Resources and Tools (COPCP003)
    o Material Valuation with Cross-Company Costing (COPCP001)
    o Costing Bulk Materials (COPCP004)
o Valuation Price for Materials from User Exit (COPCP005)
    1. Costing Reports: SAPLXCKA
Here you can create your own reports for displaying cost estimates with quantity structure or activate the example reports in the standard system.
This enhancement contains the following components:
    · EXIT_SAPLCKAZ_001 Display/print itemization
This enhancement contains example program code from SAP that you can modify and use for your own enhancement, or activate directly as a report for the itemization.
    · EXIT_SAPLCKAZ_002 Display/print cost components
This enhancement contains example program code from SAP that you can either modify and use for your own enhancement, or activate as a report for the cost components.
    · EXIT_SAPLCKAZ_003 Display/print cost components and itemization
This enhancement does not contain example program code.
In the cost estimate with quantity structure you access the reports with Costs -> Display user exit. The report refers to the first cost component view listed. If you want to see the costs with reference to another cost component view, choose Settings -> Cost display and choose the desired report under Select view.
You can display your own reports in the information system by adding them to the report list for product costing.
    See also:
Check report list for material cost estimate
    2. Costing production resources/tools: COPCP003
This enhancement contains the component EXIT_SAPLCK01_001.
The costs for production resources and tools are calculated as a flat rate within production overhead.
This enhancement enables you to plan the costs for production resources in costing with quantity structure in different ways. Here you can specify how the production resources are to be costed.
In the cost component structure, the production resources can be shown in separate cost components.
This enhancement contains example program code from SAP that you can modify or use as is.
    3. Material valuation with cross-company costing: COPCP001
This enhancement contains the component EXIT_SAPLCK21_001.
Here you can enter the prices for valuation of a material that is transferred between company codes.
You have the following options for the valuation of materials that are transferred between company codes:
o You are using the standard system without cross-company costing. In this case the system uses a price in the material master record in accordance with the valuation strategy. The material is treated as if it were externally procured.
o You activate cross-company costing. In this case the material is recosted in the other company code or transferred according to the transfer control ID.
If you have not activated cross-company costing, you can use this enhancement to define alternative prices for valuation of a material that is transferred between company codes. That is, this enhancement allows you to specify which price should be used instead of the price from the material master record.
In include LXCKAF)) you can find an example program code. However, this code example can not be directly copied and used
    4. Costing Bulk Materials: COPCP004
This enhancement contains the component EXIT_SAPLKKEX_001.
You can use this enhancement to plan the costs for bulk materials and show in the cost element itemization.
If the indicator Bulk material is set in the material master, the indicator Relevant to costing in in the BOM does not accept input for the item. The enhancement allows you to determine the costing relevancy. The items with the bulk materials indicator at item level of BOM are also included as relevant to costing.
This enhancement contains example program code from SAP that you can modify or use as is.
    5. Valuation Price with Valuation Strategy U: COPCP005
This enhancement contains the component EXIT_SAPLCK21_002.
You can use this enhancement to specify prices for valuation of materials if you want to use valuation strategy U (valuation with USER EXIT) for material valuation to find a price for the materials.
This enhancement does not contain any example program code from SAP.
    Activities
To activate the SAP example reports (the procedure is similar forthe other enhancements):
    1. Create a new project or use an existing one.
    2. Set the indicator SAP enhancements and choose Change.
    3. Enter SAPLXCKA as the SAP enhancement and choose Save.
    4. Set the indicator Enhancement components and choose Change.
    5. Position the cursor on the enhancement component EXIT_SAPLCKAZ_001 and choose Edit -> Use SAP source code.
    6. The system asks whether you want to create ZXCKAU01. Answer Yes.
    7. Maintain the attributes.
    8. Save the program and choose Back.
    9. Position the cursor on the enhancement component EXIT_SAPLCKAZ_002 and choose Edit -> Use SAP source code.
    10. The system asks whether you want to create ZXCKAU02. Answer Yes.
    11. Maintain the attributes.
    12. Save the program and choose Back.
    13. Activate the project.
    14. To display the reports, you must perform costing again.
    Further notes
Unlike modifications, enhancements are always upgrade-compatible because they are implemented in a name range reserved for the customer rather than in the SAP original.
The general procedures for creating enhancements can be found in the enhancement transaction CMOD under Goto -> Online Manual. This takes you to the SAP library where you can find detailed information on customer exits. For more information on the above enhancements, see the associated function module documentation.
    Reward if useful...

  • AUC and settlement rule mismatch.

    Hi,
We have created many AUCs while uploading initial data at the time of go-live by posting JVs on WBSE and then performing the settlement. Now due to some currency issues we have reversed all settlements, and then Asset accounting person has resetted the asset register.
now when I am trying to create AUC from CJ20N, system creates AUC and provides the number. but this newly generated AUC number is not matching with the AUC in settlement rule. I can't delete the old settlement rule as the settlement performed on that. as well as I am not able to add new AUC in settlement rule.
Please let me know if there is any program / tcode which can remove this inconsistency. or is there any other procedure to make it streamline.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Nilesh.

    Hi,
There is no error message in this case.
    The scenario is like:
I have one WBSE and AUC is created for this WBS. for example AUC number is 1. the WBSE is released and some cost has incurred on it. during periodic settlement the cost is settled on the AUC.
Now the Client FICO team observed that the asset accounting is wrong due to currency conversion problem, so FICO team decided to reset the asset register and upload the entire master with new corrections. this will reset the AUCs as well.
so i reversed the settlement done on AUC and got the cost back on WBSE.
FICO team has resetted the asset register and all AUCs got deleted.
Now the issue is: WBSE is having AUC #1 in settlement rule which can not be deleted as settlement is carried out on this rule.
But when I create new AUC for WBS it is being created as some different number, (lets say #7) so even if now I run settlement the settlement will be done on AUC #1 insted of #7 even though #1 belongs to some other WBSE now in new scenario.
I hope I have clearly mentioned the issue.
    Regards,
    Nilesh
