Settlement rule sould be SDI in MTO production order

Hello,
I have a problem with my MTO scenario.
The Assignment Category of the Settlement Rule in my production order is MAT. It should be SDI.
In OPL8 I can´t change it from PP1 to SDI.
In OKO7 if I change the Default object type form MAT to SDI I can´t save the SO.
In OPJH If I change the Settlement profile on Production Order type to SDI e get error.
What should i do to solve this problem?
Thank you all in advance
Cátia Pereira

Hi
It depends on settings in Req Class (OVZG)  and Account Assignemnt Catg (AAC) in OME9
If your AAC is E in Req Class, then your sales order is a CO object and Prod order has SDI instead of MAT
Req Class in IMG can be checked - IMG > Contr > Prod Cost Planning > Cost Obj Contr > Prod Cost By Sales Order > Control of Req Class .......

  • MTO Production Order settlement - assignment field filled incorrectly

    Dear All
Normally, once our production orders are settled the assignment field in the accounting document that gets generated contains the production order.
However, in the case of our MTO production orders that get automatically created from a sales order, the assignment field is getting populated with the sales order # and item # on the sales order that generates the production order.
This is causing some difficulties for our accounting folks.
I checked the Sort key assigned to the GL account and it is assigned 036 (AUFNR).
Any ideas? Could the MTO functionality override this? Is the sales order and sales order item # being pulled in from somewhere else during the goods movement?
Also, wondering where I can see this in the system and if it's coming off the production order itself, or the material document posted for the production order, or just from the order settlement?
    Many Thanks!

We've found an alternative process for this.
    Thank you.

  • Settelment of (MTO) Production order to sales order.

    HI ,
    Can any one tell ,
When we settle Production Order in MTO to Sales order
What are the Accounting Documents Generated, Wheter system will generate Controlling document or Accounting Document.
I have done the Process, But i m getting CO document.
If it is wrong Pls tell me settings wht i m missing.
Also Pls let me know the importance of settleing the MTO Production order to Sales order.
Becos when i settle it there is not reflect on Sales order as System is generating Co document.
    Regards,
    Pavanidlur

    Dear PAVANIDLUR,
Normally its generated automatically; by because here the Production Order and the Sales Order are the Cost Objects.

  • Create MTO production order immedately after running MRP

    HI experts,
Does a stragtey group can be used for a material to create MTO production order/purchase order after running MRP?
Or how we can set a material to create MTO production/purhcase order immedately after running MRP?
Now we are using stragety group 50 for make to order material.
After running MRP, material will create a Make-to-order plan orders. Then we converted them into purchase order or production order based on propurment type.
    Thank you for your response~
    Boris

    Dear
Please assing Planning Stargety -82 if you want production order just after logging sales order .Here MRP will be executed in background and it will generate Production Order fro MTO item and for depedent it will generate PR/PO .Make sure that , you have kep Individaul and Collective Indicator as 1 in MRP4 view of all the compoenets which have used in BOM .

  • MTO (Production order) & MTO (Sale order)

What would be the end user activity in Controlling (CO) module for both MTO production and sale order scenarios in terms of planned and actual costing point of view? (Kindly mention T-Codes as well)
I think in sales order scenario the sale order act as a CO object and collect both the revenue and costs itself. The order closing activity will be performed by SD user and so nothing will be done by CO user at the end for actual cost and in the planning phase only the activities needed to be planned on production cost center by the CO user. How and where to run the cost estimate if the process is triggered by the SD user and how to settle variances if the SD user is closing the order?
N.B. Material Ledger is not activated and costing is done without variant configuration and the MRP is yet to be decided so let me know in both of the cases (i.e. with and without MRP)
    Thanks

    Hi SK,
Make to Stock & Make to Order scenario functionality rational in terms of Fundamentals, only the difference of Cost Object is different which cost will determine to calculate.
Month end Activity for both MTS & MTO will perform by CO users (where as in MTO all cost activity will consumed wit relate to SD process against SO wise..i.e @posting level in SD side)
The following month end activity T Code listed out.

  • Varaince settlement and costing sheet in REM and Production order

for REM, repetetive manufacturing, what's the difference between REM and production order in terms of variance settlement and settlement profile design? what's the difference between process order and production order in terms of variance settlement and settlement profile design?
for actual overhead(fixed and variable), can it be calculated automatically by costing sheet? user is very angry to input actual overhead by jounal entry. also how about plan scrap, how to define it in configuration? besides order confirmation, where can I input actual scrap?

For variances, there is no difference between the 3 diferrent orders. The settlement profile can also be the same.  The real difference from a CO perspective concerns the calculation of WIP and the settlement rule.  Process orders and production orders normally use a full settlement rule (though periodic settlement is also possible) and WIP is calculated based on actual cost.  Repetitive orders only use periodic settlement and WIP is valued at target cost.
From an overhead perspective, there is no difference between the 3 types of orders.  Overhead sheets are assigned through the costing variant and costs are applied through period-end process.
Plan scrap is maintained in master data, either in material master, routing (receipe for process orders), or bill of material.  Acttual scrap usually happens based on the quantity of components issued to the order during confirmation or by the amount of scrap reported during confirmation.  If you are backflushing components, as you normally would do for repetitive, then you can adjusted the consumed quantities by doing an additional goods issue to the order (movement type 261).

  • Settlement rule for several assets but one internal order number

    Hi,
I have a question regarding the settlement rule for an internal order. I have issued an internal order number to capture costs for a construction project.  When the project is completed how do I update the settlement rule for the internal order to several assets all for different amounts?
For example an internal order number has collected costs of 150,000.00 for the completion of a building.  When the building is complete and I want to do a final settlement of the internal order.  I have one asset for land improvements for 43,000, another asset for the HVAC system for 33,000 and building costs of 74,000.  When updating the settlement rule I know to create the assets and update the settlement rule with these asset numbers, but I am unclear on how to assign multiple assets with differnt amounts.

    Hi ,
In the settlement rule , you need to select the Receiver as FXA and then enter the Asset number and then you will have to put the % that you want to settle to .
Like if you have 100/- Rs. total cost and you want to settle it to 2 assets in 60/- Rs. and 40/- Rs.
Then you will have to enter 2 line items in settlement rule with diffrent asset numbers and in proportion you will have to say 40 % and 60% , based on which the final settlement would happen .
So make the proportion changes in the settlement rule accordingly .

  • MTO & Production Order Cost estimate

    Hello
We have MTO with Production Order cost estimate for valuating invendtory. But the value of GR is not matching with Production Order cost estmate though strategy is "2"-with which its valuated. The estimate does not have any majaor itemisation except Activity cost-which is unchanged. How do i find the the value with which GR is done.AN order cost estimate no is saved in EBEW.WIll this give me trail of the itemisation with values & how can i get the trail.

    Hi SR,
    - Value GR is not match with the order, here are my basic question
    > Are you using material in the standard price or moving?
    > Are man days estimated is same with the actual GI?
If there is different than cost estimation would not be the same with the actual GR.
    - Find the the value with which GR is done, I'm not sure about the question here & correct me if I'm wrong.
If you want to search whether GR is done or not you should check by the Order in module PP
    - How can i get the trail, if you want to get the trail over cost and until sales order in placed, I think it has to be a custom program
    Hope helps

  • Settlement rule mandatory before release of Produciton order

    Dear PP Gurus,
Will you please inform me the way to configure settlement rule mandatory field before releasing the production order with out material.
    Thanks in advance,
    HT

    Hi Hareesh
Go to IMG - Controlling - Product cost controlling - cost object controlling - product cost by order - period end closing - settlement - create settlement rule.
in this select the appropriate settlement rule that u assigned to ur production order type.
In this, in the block "Valid Receivers" for order , select "2 settlement required".
If this is done, when u create a production order, it will ask for the settlement rule to be defined.
Hope this is helpful to u. If so please reward points.

  • Production Order settlement to Sale Order

    Hi Gurus,
I have crated a sale order through VA01, I crated sale order specific BOM through CS61 and after that I executed Cost Estimate for the sale order.
    Sale Order No: 260
    Finished Product : 610
    Semi Finished: 611
    Semi Finished: 612
I executed MRP for sale order 260, System has created planned production for Material 610,611 and 612.
When I am trying to convert the planned production order to production order, system is automatically picking up settlement rule as Material instead of sale order for all the production orders. System is not allowing to change the settlement rule manually.
Our requirement is, Production Order of SFGs(611 and 612) should be settle to Production order of Finished Product(610). and the total cost of the production order of Finished Product(610) should be settle to Sale Order (260).
How can I get the above settlement rule into my production orders as default.
Please help me in this regards and guide me if i am going in wrong way.
    Thanks in Advance
    Ganesh
    Note:
    1. Our scenario is Make-To-Order.
    2. I am using same Order Type for all the production orders.

    Hi Venkat
When u manf SFG - SFG declared to stock and all calculations for WIP or Variances are done for SFG material depending on the order status
When u settle if the material is SFG in the production order - FI postings are done to relevant accounts for SFG matl
Now when the SFG matl is used in production of FG, SFG is consumed and Production order created for FG will have either WIP or variances and settlement is executed.
    For settling to sales order
Create settlement profile with sales order selected as valid receiver, and assign the profile to the Production order type.  Here u need two production order types
    1)  One normal production order - here normal settlement profile is attached
    2)  One order type for sales order production.  Here u attach sales order settlement profile.  Create allocation structure for this purpose
You can only one order type and settlement profile for both SFG and FG
Postings to relevant accoutns for SFG and FG is taken care thru valuation class and account determination
Hope the above clarifies - pls assign points if the above is useful

  • Settlement Rule-Production Order

    Hi Gurus,
We are using settlement profile PP01 and some of the production orders it has receiver material and some of the order it has order item(OIT),we activated mateial ledger, is there any impact for those order which is created with settlemetn rule  ORDER ITEM(OIT)
    Your advise please.
    Thanks.
    S.Siva.

    Hi Siva,
Can you see the SAP notes 1491895 & 1420566.
The material ledger is active in your system.
No process number is entered when the planned orders are converted to collective orders in the order headers (for example, by means of Transaction MD04 or CO40), even though the material ledger needs this.
When goods receipts for the order are posted, the system generates error message CKMLMV009, "Internal error in program SAPLCKMLMVCONNECT in position L001 (RC = &)".
When the planned orders (for collective orders) are converted, function module CO_SD_PLANNED_ORDER_CONVERT calls function module CK_F_PPC_ORDER_SETTLE to determine the settlement rule of subordinated orders. The process number is calculated but it is not yet updated in the buffer table of the order headers.
Can you check this for your error message.

  • Creation of Distribution rule(Settlement rule) in production order

    Hello SAP GURUS,
I have one good query for you guys. When we create production order,by default it takes settlement rule (settle the cost of production order to material even that 100% settlement),and its because we have given the distribution rule (Default rule) in Order type dependent parameters. But in one of my friend system when i was creating production order manually it was not taking settlement rule by default and when i was going to save the order it was saying that settlement rule is not defined.I checked in order type that settlement profile was defined their.Even i checked in order type dependent parameter, distribution rule(default rule)  was their as material 100% settlement, defined over their.
could you guys help in understanding this problem that where we have to define that system should create settlement rule by default(Settlement to material and even that 100% settlement).

    Hi..
    please try this....Goto KSR2_VBP.
THere are two strategies.. 01 and 02.
01 for manual creation of settlement rules
    02 for auto creation..
first check whether 01 and 02 are in your plant.
Sales and distrib....basic functions......auto gen. of settlement rules.......
here you ll find two activities.
    (1)maintaining the settlement strategies and
    (2)activating one among them.
If you activate 02, your problem will be solved..
    Also check this..
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/a9/ab777d414111d182b10000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
The settlement profile is to be defined for thee particular Order Type to generate automatically.
Define Production Order Type in OPJH
Under Cost controlling check the settlement profile .
If not create the same in OPJH.
Settlement Profile: Create settlement profile - SPRO > Controlling > Product Cost Controlling > Product cost by Order > Period End Closing > Settlement > Create Settlement Profile
Enter Settlement profile from OPJH or Choose one for production order
    and configure Settlement profile. Indicators
    with wishes
