Settlement Rules and recievers

I am trying to set up a Capital Refurbishment order (PM96), however I would like the costs for parts to be settled to a WBS element and the cost for Labour to be settled to expense, (Work Centre). Could anybody please tell me how I can get this to happen, i.e Setting the work order up so that the Primary cost elements ettle to the different Settlement recievers.

Hello,
For Set Settelement receiver as WBS element and Book cost of Labour you have to Do the following master data & Configuration then You can run your scenario.
Create the Activity Types (TCode KL01) -->Then  set the a price for them via TCode KP26.
This Is for to capture the Labour cost Use this activity type and Cost center combination in Work Center.
Then
IN SPRO For Settelment of Order cost WBS element
1)Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Basic Settings -> General Order Settlement -> Maintain Allocation Structure
2)Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Basic Settings -> Settings for Display of Costs -> Maintain Value Categories
3)Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Basic Settings -> Settings for Display of Costs -> Assign Cost Elements to Value Categories
4)Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Basic Settings -> General Order Settlement -> Maintain Settlement Profile
5)Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Orders -> Functions and Setting for Order Types -> Costing Data for Maintenance and Service Orders -> Assign Costing Parameters and Results Analysis Keys

  • Settlement Rule and Assignment

    Hi Experts,
currently i need to do settlement to 2 diffrent G/L accounts. However, from the transaction code, OKO6, I can only configure for one assignment per allocation structure. Is there any solution to this or a work around? Please advice.
    Thanks

Try using source structure, this may help you out..
How will this help Praveen? Can you please explain?

  • Settlement rule does not exists in order number.

    Hi All,
I have been recieving a error while trying to save the Production order. The error reads as "Settlement rule does not exixts in order". But fact is that order has settlement rule. Also there is a default setting done in order type settlement profile because of which settlement rule is created automatically.
Now there is a way around. We calculate cost manually and then we go to settlement rule and check for error. Once we do so the order is good to save.
But we are not able to save it automaticaaly after release. This issue occurs when we try to release the order and then after releasing the order we try to save it.
Please help us on this issue.

    Hi Prabhakar,
Thanks for your input. But the said setting was already done while implementation. All the material except this material has the issue. We are able to realease the order properly for the material except this one. And since go live we are using this material for first time.
We did a work around. We copied this material and recreated a new material with reviced part number. That one is working fine in lower client. We have now no idea how could one material all the same data like material master and routing and BOM and work centers can work properly whicle failing for other.
We are trying to debug this will let you all know if we find the solution. Till then if you all have any idea any prior experience, please let me know.

  • Error: Maintain settlement rule of the sender for a higher level WBS

    Hi,
I dont want to maintain the settlement rule for a higher level WBS. How can i configure this in such a way that i dont get the following error:" Maintain settlement rule of the sender" while doing CJ88. Maintaing a separate Settlement profile for a higher level WBS is an option but we are looking if something else could be done The problem is that there are no actuals booked against, say, level 2 WBS but when i execute CJ88, i get the aforesaid error. How can i ensure that only the lowest level WBS ask for the settlement rule and not the levels above it. I have already removed the Investment profile from the higher level WBS but still getting the same error.
    Regards,
    DPil

    Hi,
It is a type Capex WBS and Biling element is not checked. In fact i get a warning while doing the settlement: WBS is neither a billing element nor an account assignment element.
    Diagnosis
WBS element  is not indicated as either an account assignment element or as a billing element in the master record.
    System Response
The WBS element cannot be assigned to an account.
    Procedure
Correct your entries or add the missing indicator to the master record for the WBS element.
But this is just a warning. On pressing enter i get the error :Maintain settlement rule of the sender "

  • Settlement Rule for Internal Order

    Hi All
I have Maintained Settlement rule for Internal order as under
    CAT - FXA
    Settlement Receiver - Asset
    % - 100
    Settlement type - Full
Now after settlement of above Order in KO88 . I want again use above internal order. Hence i have trying to put Settlement rule 50% for some anther asset but system gave me following error. Please guide on this issue.
    Total = 50.00%, ( Set.Type PER / Version / Actual settlement ), period 010/2011
    Message no. KD042
    Diagnosis
You have entered distribution rules which settle 50.00% in total. This applies for settlement view ( Set.Type PER / Version / Actual settlement ) in period 010/2011.
When checking the percentage total, the system found one of the following errors:
The total percentage for the distribution rules is more than 100%
The total percentage for the distribution rules is less than 100% and this is a rule for full settlement.
The total percentage for the distribution rules is less than 100% and the 100% check is switched on in the settlement profile.

    Hi:
Please refer to the contents of OSS Note 45612 - IM: pre-settlement does not work, or KD042... which states
    "Symptom
        1. If a preliminary settlement rule (for example, to cost center) is entered for individual items of capital investment measures with line item management, this rule is not considered during periodic settlement. There is no settlement to cost centers.
        2. If you enter a final settlement rule for individual line items of investment measures with line item management for a partial capitalization (that is, the percentage rate is less than 100%), then you receive the unjustified error message KD042 "Total percent = xx%".
    Additional key words
    KOB5, CJ70, CJ88, CJ8G, KO88, KO8G, preliminary settlement, partial settlement, partial capitalization
    Cause and prerequisites
        1. You did not enter the settlement type ACT in the preliminary settlement rule.
You can check this in the Line Item Apportionment transaction by choosing the menu option "Goto" -> "Overview dist. rules" to display the distribution rule groups entered so far.
The system displays rules which have no entry in the "SetTyp" field (settlement type, field name PERBZ).
        2. The check of the percentages is incorrect.
    Solution
        1. Install the following correction. Afterwards reverse the incorrect settlement, re-enter the preliminary settlement rule and settle again.
        2. Install the following correction. Afterwards, you can maintain the settlement rule for the partial settlement.
Note: If you want to use a default settlement rule (maintaining the settlement rule from the master data maintenance transaction), then you are required to distribute the line items at 100%. In order to carry out a partial capitalization (settlement of less than 100%), you have to use menu path "Actual postings -> Period-end closing -> Settlement -> Line item "

  • Error during automatic settlement rule creation

    Hi Gurus,
For the investment project, I maintained as follows, first level WBSE - Only planning element - no settlement. 2nd level WBSE - settled to AuCs. For level three & below settled to Superior WBSE. I had created the Settlement type with '5'. When I am executing CJB2 to create the Settlement rules automatically, I am getting the following error message for level 3 & below WBSE.
Enter a valid value for the settlement type :
    Message no. KD199
    Diagnosis
The system found a settlement type settlement type in the settlement rule which either does not exist or is unsuitable for the sender.
    Procedure
If possible, enter a suitable settlement rule.  Remember that the rules for preliminary settlement ("PRE") of capital investment measures are different from those for period settlement ("PER") of other settlement senders.  Periodic settlement only makes sense for capital investment measures.  They must not have any "PER" rules.
To enter an investment profile (in the control data for an order or WBS element) or to remove it.  However, first delete the PER or PRE rules (in the settlement rule) and er zu in internal orders, you can first change the investment profile and then adapt the rules before you save.
Error(s) during creation of settlement rule :
    Message no. ORB509
    Diagnosis
Errors occurred during the check on settlement receivers.
    System Response
    Processing stopped.
    Procedure
    Check whether the:
Specific receiver Account assignment e actually exists
Settlement profile Z7 permits account assignment to the specified receiver
can anyone help me where I am making mistake or what is the procedure to be adopted for such scenario.
somebody else also had discussed the same issue in this forum but there is no answer for this.
    thanks in advance

    hi Sreenivas,
    Thanks for your reply,
I tried this, system is giving the following error now

    Message no. CJ115
    Diagnosis
The system could not find a superior element for a WBS element while it was executing the function 'Derive structure'

What  could be the reason ?

  • Require settlement rule when creating a Prod order

    Hello,
    Hello,
one of our processes is to fabricate complex tools that will be capitalized and depreciated when completed.
while the tools is being fabricated, we would like to settle regularly the production order to a capital order (AUC) and track the budget for the fabrication.
in this production process we want to require the user to enter a capital internal order in the settlement rule of the production order master data..  this way when Prod order is settled we dont have issues.  can you make settlement rule entry as required during production order creation?
any input is appreaciated on the issue. Thanks
    Andy

    Hi,
There is no standart control for this, but I know a PP user exit which excatly meet you requirement.
PPCO0007---User Exit for Checking or Changing Header Fields During Order
You can first control if it is a production order ( ı think it is a special type to produce auc) that you want to control. Then you can select settlement rule and control and give error message settlement rule is mandotory you can not save. The exit sends a signal that it is not possible to save. For error message you can write code into the exit for the message.

  • Internal order settlement rule

    Hi Friends,
We have a internal order type with investment measure for AUC. When I create a internal order it is creating a AUC in the background but no settlement rule is updated. I released the order, posted some values and ran KO88 ( with and without TECO status) but still settlement rule is not updated with AUC. It is not even allowing me to update settlement rule manually with the AUC.  Also in the settlement rule, I don't see AUC in the object type, but I see a FXA, not sure if it is an issue. Thanks in advance
    Edited by: nspv81 on Dec 7, 2010 10:05 PM

    Hi,
The system design does not offer the settlement type "AuC" for manually created settlement rules. This is correct.
AuC-settlement rules can only be created by the system automatically if the order/WBS-element has an investment profile with the flag "Manage AuC" set. The investment profile can be reviewed in transaction OITA.
If this is the case then the system will create the AuC rule during the FIRST run of a periodic settlement (update run) by    automatically taking the AuC as a settlement receiver.
If you do however not use the investment profile you need to maintain a fixed asset settlement rule and enter the asset number manually.

  • Generation of WBS Settlement Rule

    Hi Folks!
I was wondering if there is any function module that allow me to generate a WBS Settlement Rule for a specific project and for elements on level 3.
If there is no FM for this, is there any workaround to do this.
    Thx for any advise.
    Regards,
    Gilberto Li

    Hi Gilberto,
Hm, not a question that has a simple answer. Settlement rules are first of all defined in customizing how the should be behave and secondly lies the question how to update a CO cost object with this settlement rule.
Let us first assume that customizing is done with a settlement profile named ZZ_PROF for instance. This is defined in customizing like path (from R/3 4.7): Trans SPRO -> Project System -> Costs -> Automatic and Periodic Allocations -> Settlement -> Settlement Profile -> Create Settlement Profile.
My first advice would be to use the "automatic settlement derivation feature" that can be setup in customizing alike. Trans SPRO -> Project System -> Costs -> Automatic and Periodic Allocations -> Settlement -> Settlement Rule for Work Breakdown Structure Element. Read the docu for this node (right click and choose Display documentation) to understand what possibilities and limitations this functionality has. Below this node you have the possibility to define a "settlement strategy" and allocate this to a project profile. There is also an option to define a BADi whereby you you can somewhat influence the automatic generation of settlement rules. You must "obey" the rules in the "settlement strategy" but can do some filtering of SD orders influence and derive a "settlement strategy" baseed on some coding logic of your choice.
To execute these settings on operative projects you run trans CJB1 (collective processing) or CJB2 (indicidual processing).
All in all: This is good functionality but maybe not what you are looking for due to the built in "restrictions" in the "settlement strategy" profile.
My second advice would be: What I did in the past was to write a batch input program that was run just before period end closing (that is before settlement - of course) that did read all relevant WBS elements without a settlement rule and derived a new settlement rule. Finally, updated the setttlement coding block with this info. Processing of the BDC is then done via trans SM35 the normal way.
I also did a check for trans CJB2: In include LKAZBF15 there is the "magic" call to the update FM with name KSRG_GENERATE_RULE. One option could be to set a break point here and run the trans to see what parameters has to be filled. This implies that the customizing is done before, of course. I have a feeling that this is NOT the easist solution to use - to fill the parameters correctly may be difficult
I hope this helps you in deciding what action to take.
Sometimes a simple BDC will do the trick although it may not be a "good" solution.
Disclaimer: There might be some other relevant FM to solve your problem as I am not aware of. If you find one for WBS elements then I would certainly be interested in any findings.

  • Object Currency is Required in settlement rule creation in CJIC

    Hi,
I am trying to create settlement rule to settle the cost of wbse to Final Asset in CJIC.I want to settle by amount in Object currency. There is no field where I can change it to Object currency,it is in Controlling Area Currency.
Any help on this will be appreciated,

    Hi,
Go to CJ20N, and go the WBS element. Now go to the settlement rule and give the final asset there. Now in CJ88, after settlemet run, the currency will be taken accordingly

  • How to display previous settlement rules (CJ70)

    Hi,
Is there any transaction code to view the list of settlement rule from CJ70.
We settle from 1 WBS - 1 AUC - many Fixed Assets
After I made final settlement rules in CJ70 and run CJ88, the lines of settled items are gone. How to display the list of previous final settlement rules (i.e this WBS has been settled to what assets)
Currently, I could get the list from FBL3N, find the GL posting with WBS number, click Original Document then it will display previous settlement. Then I click settlement rules and it will display previous settlement rules. Any other way besides FBL3N? Because it will only display rules from particular WBS and I have to find the GL posting first.

Go to CNS41/CN41. Select the WBS Element for which you want to see the settlement rules. Then Click on the Settlement Rule button. This will dispaly all the settlement receivers. i.e to AUC as well as the multiple  Fixed Assets.
    Hope it helps..
Seek for some points if it helps.
    Thanks

  • No PSG in settlement rule (table COBRB)

    Hi,
I have a Sales Order which had a settlement rule created to PSG and had been settled already.  However, currently, the customer of that SO became invalid as well as contract type. So I tried to realign (KEND) this PSG, unfortunately, the current PSG has gone (no PSG no. in table COBRB), in settlement rule, there are some incompleted data left, such as customer, plant...
Now I would like to close this Sales Order (no balance in KVBI), however, since there is incompletion log regarding the incomplete PSG and settlement rule, it is unable to close the SO. In case I tried to end the old settlement rule and create a new one, it seems to be unable to create using the new customer with new mapping.
Please kindly advise how to solve this problem.
    Thank you.

    Dear all,

  • Defaulting G/L account in work order settlement rule

    Hello,
I have set my work order settlement profile, the default object to be G/L.  However, in the equipment master record, at the Organization tab (account assignment group), i don't see any field for G/L account.
When i create settlement rule with default, i get error that rule cannot be created with default.
Where can i enter the G/L account in the equipment master to enable the auto settlement rule creation?

you can always explain the concept of FI account through Cost Center and CO account through Cost Element from Plant Maintenance and FI/CO organisation point of view and in relation to business process.
As you cant define in master data you cant get it automatically copied into settlement rule and hence have to maintain it manually as system dont know which GL to use as settlement receiver as not maintained in master data.
