How do you setup aol email on an iPhone 2g

ANOTHER OPTION
I followed these steps before I found option in above post, not sure if this is needed, smaller type Is from computer savy person.  This did not fix my problem of sent emails going to outbox.  Sounds like it worked for others, though
SOLUTION -  Create AOL mail account through "Other" not through "AOL", input all the IMAP data needed.
IMAP Account Information
Name: AOL
Email: your [email protected]
your password
Description: AOL
Incoming Mail Server:
Host Name: imap.aol.com
User Name: your [email protected]
Password: your password
Outgoing Mail Server:
Host Name: smtp.aol.com
User Name: your email  WITHOUT --> @aol.com
Password: your password
Use SSL turn it on
Authentication: Password
Server Port 587
           and save it
Think this post started with person using an AOL and Gmail accnt
Then  go back into your settings of your AOL email, scroll down and under  "Outgoing Mail Server"  click on "SMTP smtp.gmail.com", there under  "Primary Server" smtp.aol.com turn it OFF , under "Other SMTP Servers"  click on "add a Server", there input into "Host Name" smtp.aol.com, Use  SSL on, Server Port 587.
          and save it
