I think you understand english good enough (som ni alla svenskar brukar g?ra (b?ttre ?n vi finskar i alla fall)) so I just give a link to another thread on this forum.
This issue you're having, is quite common for Creative Audigy carrds (perhaps with OEM models mostly) if you just search this forum.
You can use those instructions to get some drivers installed to your card. Install drivers first and then all the Creative software you need.
You need WinRar being installed into your system to get driver package extracted. You can download it from http://www.winrar.de/edownload/winrar.html

  • Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster Audigy 2 on your Sys

Here's the deal. I have used my Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum without incedent for a long time with the following box:
    Asus A7V333
    XP 800
    .5 GB DDR 2700
I changed cases, but all of the components remained the same. Everything else went like clockwork, but no Audigy.
So I did a clean and replace of the drivers, however, I had no Audigy CD. I ordered the CD from Creative, but it looks to be a CD for the Audigy 2 XS...will this work for the Audigy 2 Platinum?
So when I go to run the CD, I get the following error:
Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster Audigy on your system.
Please ensure that your Sound Blaster Hardware is properly installed before running this Setup program
    Setup will now exit.
I didn't change slots and the IRQ is still the same.
I can provide any additional documentation, i.e. screen shots of device manager, et al. to anyone interested in helping.
Also, if you li've in Chicago, I will get you drunk.
I am so irritated with this thing... I remember it being a pain in the @$$ to install the first time, but not like this.
    Cheers,
    -rob

Okay I ended up fixing this problem myself seeing as a lot of these forum topics just come to a dead end with no real resolution.
    Let's get 'Creative' ...
I removed the reg entry hkey_local_machine/software/creative tech, removed all drivers, programs, and anything that even smelt faintly of creative.
Just to make sure I ran the CTZAPXX.exe on the cd and removed drivers again there also.
Then upon a swift reboot I used CTZAPXX.exe to install the drivers, ran the cd, unchecking the option at the bottom of the 'custom' install list to install windows drivers (as it had already been done)
    Now I'm back in business
Though, all through the ages I've never had a creative soundcard, which hasn't given me trouble at some stage, man I even have shameful memories of my AWE64... Lift your game creative, you've got a great product line, just a pity the shoddy drivers sometimes let them down.
This post may be a little outdated, but it's really intended for all you googlers out there I really hope this fixes your problem!

  • Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster Audigy card on your system

    Hi from Barcelona!
I've a Soun Blaster Audigy card (Model: SB0090)
I tried to install the Audigy software and drivers from the original product CD but Setup was unable to find Augigy hardware and halted the installation!
"Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster card on your system. Please ensure that your Sound Blaster hardware is properly installed before running this Setup program"
By the way. Manually the sound drivers can be installed working only front speakers of the 5. Creative system
I tried a clean installation of Windows XP and Windows 2000 PRO (reformatted the hard dri've) but Audigy install CD still could not find Audigy hardware.
I've changed the card to a different PCI slot with the same results!!! Damaged?
What is happening? I need a solution!! Many users have this problem to with other Sound Blaster cards and models...

    ADSLNEW wrote:
It seems to be an important BUG of Creative Sound Blaster Audigy cards related with EEPROM!!!
Yes, indeed, that is my theory as well. After much ****hing and on-line research, it seems that this problem has been around since 2002. From Creative Labs point of view, it appears they view this as "pilot error" -- the user has installed the card in a system that is not fully compliant with the latest standards -- specifically Microsofts ACPI (configuration and power management). A wide variety of configurations and/or actions seem to cause the PCI subsystem ID in the Audigy EEPROM to be erroneously overwritten -- including certain older motherboards, certain older PCI cards, and perhaps other actions.
Once the subsystem ID in the EEPROM is overwritten and has garbage information, many or all of the Creative applications cease working and various sound problems can arise. Attempts to reinstall the driver or update to the latest driver consistently fail becuase of the dreaded "Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster Audigy card in your system..." error message.
There appear to be four fixes:
) Get a replacement Audigy card from Creative, but <EM>only</EM> after you perform their prescribed troubleshooting steps to prove that the card is indeed the source of the problem. Apparently, the steps include installing the card in another PC. Apparently, Creative in Europe is more willing to replace your card than Creative in the US. It's up to Creative Labs whether or not they issue you an RMA ("Return Material Authorization").
However, this fix will fail if the root causes of the EEPROM error are not corrected. Apparently, Creative Tech Support isn't always a foolproof source of guidance, so the burden is on you. The root cause MUST be corrected before the new card is installed, or the same problem will happen all over again. Eliminating the root cause may involve replacing your motherboard, replacing other PCI cards, or manual configuration (disabling ACPI).
    2) Reprogramming the EEPROM. This is for advanced PC owners only, because it involves desoldering the EEPROM, programming it, and resoldering (and even lifting some pins to prevent reprogramming). There are instructions on how to do this posted in the German Creative Labs discussion board, by a Russian (!). I have links for those who are interested.
    3) Removing the Creative drivers and software (using Clean Sweep procedures and third party utilities), updating again using Windows XP SP2, then physically moving the card to different PCI slots (multiple times if necessary), until ACPI Bios writes the proper information into the EEPROM. You can then reload the drivers.
Again, the root causes of the problem must be removed or your fix will only be temporary (a day or two). This solution also seems to be very dependent on the specifics of your system (motherboard, PCI cards, etc.).
    4) Some people have had success in by-passing the step in the driver installation process where they check for the Audigy card subsystem ID, using a utility called CTZAPxx on the installation CD. Then then manually install each of the applications they need to use.
    5) Use the open source driver from the kX Project (http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php). This driver (and associated utilities) does not depend on the detailed configuration of the card (i.e. they don't check subsystem ID) and appear to work fine even with cards with corrupted EEPROM.
This driver is aimed primarily at computer music applications, and opens up the on-card signal processing capabilities. The downside is that the Audigy 2 ZS does not have all of it's capabilities supported <EM>yet </EM>(e.g. Dolby Digital decoding, S/PIF passthrough, possibly some game sound features, THX, 24-bit recording, support for Hyperthreading CPUs, etc.). But scanning over the discussion boards, the user community seems to be MUCH happier with the performance and support associated with these drivers than with Creative's.
This is the direction I'm going. I'm not a big gamer and I don't really care about the latest in home theater audio performance. Basic 5. surround sound is all I care about, and I'm much more interested in computer music capabilities.
I have also lost faith in Creative Labs as a vendor to provide the support I want and need going forward. Just imagine if the Creative Labs were running the Space Shuttle program :smileysurprised:.

  • Set up from creative down load does not detect any sound blaster audigy mess

I have a sound blaster audigy with no installation cd. I installed the card to download the drivers. The detection software on the site said there was no creative product installed.
I downloaded the web update file and saved to my desk top. Ran the file after closinging all apps and got a message that there was no audigy detected. Reinstalled the card, same, did it again in another pci slot.
Tried finding a driver in xp, found one for soundblaster. No sound at all with this xp driver. I do not have intergrated sound on the abit k7rsa board. How do you install the driver if the set up program stops you because it does not see the device, and with no install cd? Thanks for any help.
    Tony

I have the same problem. About a year ago I threw out all my driver cd's because they were really piling up and i figured i'd never need them because I've been able to download all the driver's i've ever needed from company websites.
    NOT SO with Creative.
I have the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum (the one with the ports for the front of the computer). I recently had to reinstall my OS. I got the soundcard to work, but all the optional components I had before (like the ability to use the remote control to control sound, and the EAX console etc) are gone. I tried to download these components from the website (it's really hard to tell which is which, so i downloaded them all). They will NOT install! I keep getting the error message "Setup did not detect required components, Setup will exit" on all the download software.
This is extremely frustrating because I'm unable to setup the speakers properly (windows speaker settings don't really work).
I did manage to do the automatic update thing, but it only updates the core drivers.
    PLEASE HELP!
I paid $200 bucks for this card (granted, that was a couple years ago), so I should be able to at least download the same software that came with the product!
Please have a professional (not an engineer without user interface experience) design the download area too...it is extremely difficult to understand what the individual components really do! At the very least, when you download them...they should work!
    Thanks.

  • Setup Couldn't detect any Sound Blaster Audigy 2 on your sys

Hello...yap that is the message that my system shows when I try 2 instal my just bought Audigy 2, when I instal the driver from the Creative CD driver installation!!!
I've tried any possible combination..but nothing works!!! I think I'm about to change my opinion about creative products... (
If someone have/had the same problem...please tell me how it can be done!
    Thank you...and forgive my English!

I have the same problem with almoust every driver update from Creative! I don?t know why it happens or why they don?t fix it, but i do know that many have this problem!!
    Solution:
Extract the update "exe" file to some folder of you?re choosing! Use a program like "total commander" or someone like that to extract the file! Then go to the folder where you extractet the files, go in the "drivers" folder and click on the "setup.exe" file!
Then it ask for confirmation, just say yes and it should install alright!!
    Hope you understood my explanation!

You find the ctpanel.exe from path SBA2_EAX4DRV_0303\Drivers\WDM\COMMON when you extract the installation packege to your HD, using WinRar.
You get the latest drivers for your card from station-drivers.
Extract the driver package to your HD and install drivers using CTZAPXX.EXE found on path Drivers\Support\i386.
If you download and extract these new drivers, you find the ctpanel.exe from path

  • Sound Blaster Audigy 2 not fo

    Hey all,
I recently downloaded Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 and Audigy2 ZS Driver Update .84.55, but when I try to install it I recieve an error message stating:
"Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster Audigy 2 on your system.
Please ensure that your Sound Blaster hardware is properly installed before running this setup program.
    Setup will now exit."
In Device Manager, the device is referred to as a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 (WDM). It says the driver date is 0/2/2003 and the version is 5.2.5.44.
I'm not really sure what the problem is, and I'm afraid that if I uninstall the current driver I won't be able to find one that works anymore and I'll be out of luck.
    Any help is appreciated,
    --Delph

I find myself in the same boat!
Let's just *think* about this one minute.
If Windoze can "see" the card and install "generic" drivers for it AND it works, then the card, the installation, or anything else is not at fault (hardware wise).
It simply becomes a "problem" with the crappy Creative install software.
Oh, and don't believe that it makes one bit of difference OEM, or retail.
    I have:
OEM and RETAIL Li've 5. cards doing the SAME thing (driver disks/driver downloads)
OEM and RETAIL Audigy2 cards doing the SAME thing (driver disks/driver downloads)
The ONLY thing in common is Windoze XP SP2 with all the patches, oh, and that damm clean boot nonsense makes no difference, other that wasting time.
It ia absolutely clear to me why everybody is searching for an alternati've to this BS.
Ok so here we are, the card detects, windoze installs a generic Audigy driver, and your audio works, but you have NO features you paid for.
    The Creative installer appears broken/incompatable.
*the card MUST be detected by windoze, you MUST have a driver CD*
If the two things above are true then:
Insert your CD, it is going to launch the Creative BS, close it at the first opportunity.
    Start>My computer
You can see the CD in your CD dri've (it's called "SB_Install", with a 'hokey' logo of an "A" in it)
Right click on it, choosing "open" from the drop down box, now you have a listing of the stuff on the CD.
The 'stuff' you (might) want is in the "audio" folder, open it.
The folders revealed are fairly self explainatory, I myself would manually install the driver first through Start>control panel>Performance and maintence>System>Hardware device mgr.>Expanding my "sound video and game controllers" (by clicking on it), double click on "SB Audigy" choosing the driver tab and updating the driver from the CD (in the 'audio' under drivers that we explored earlier (you will have to manually steer the driver update to that location).
Now with that done you can go back to your CD in the "audio" folder and add the features you want.
Now, if you do not have a Creative Audigy install CD you are going to have to get one (you should have gotten one with your computer/Audigy card) try to beg, borrow, or steal one. If you strike out I will send you one (a copy) or make it availaible as a bittorrent.
In fact, if you take the complete Beta driver download (SBA2-PCDrvBeta_LB_2_08_0002) and open it up with WinRAR you can get the most recent drivers there in a folder called, strangely enough, drivers, and install as above, again provided that Windoze 'sees' your Audigy (or Li've) card. BTW the newest drivers are dated: 29/08/2005
If Windoze does not "see" your card NONE of this will apply to you, being another 'issue'. If you care to leave the specifics of THAT situation I will try to help, but you *must* remember, some stuff simply will not work with other stuff. Creative soundcards DO NOT LIKE IRQ sharing and DO NOT LIKE being placed in a VIA chipset board (pre 600 series).

    Thanks for your reply
I am sorry for the problem you are facing.
To achieve outputs from all the speaker during speaker test, you will need to have an analog connection, or digital DIN connection.
That will be possible if you connect the three line out jacks on your soundcard, to the three audio input (analog jacks->green,black,orange) on your speaker, if it has this connection. Or, you may connect them using Digital DIN, if they have this connection.
If you are using digital connection (coaxial, optical), there will be no way to achieve sound output from all the speakers during 5. speaker test, as they carry stereo signal.

    Thanks for your reply
Your soundcard is Audigy 2 ZS
Your speaker is Creative Inspire 5. Digital 5500
You will need to have a 3:3 cable(with the color green, black, orange)
to connect your soundcard to your speaker, to achieve the 5. effects
    with games.
    Below is the connection:
    - Connect line out jack of Audigy 2 ZS
to 'Front' of Creative Inspire 5. Digital 5500 using the green color
    connection
    - Connect line out 2 jack of Audigy 2 ZS
to 'Rear' of Creative Inspire 5. Digital 5500 using the black color
    connection
    - Connect line out 3 jack of Audigy 2 ZS
to 'Center/Subwoofer' of Creative Inspire 5. Digital 5500 using the
    orange color connection
Once you have done the correct connection, play the game DOOM3.
Ensure you have selected either the EAX or surround option in the game
    settings.
    Does it work?

All I want to do is re-address this issue and buy the correct
    decoder/processor.
Can you point me to the correct link on your web site so I can buy the
    correct decoder/processor?
As for the PCM out of the above cables, this foxes me as my other
    equipment
only use Optical cabling on my Lexicon processor and from that I have DD
    7., DTS 7. and meridian 5. lossless.
My issue is more to do with NO EAX from the rear and centre channels
    while
    in-game.
    Kind regards
    Martin

    Dear Martin
    Thanks for your reply
All commercial digital connection eg. optical or coaxial cable will only
carry PCM stereo signal. If you want to output the signal to a surround
    5. with extra EAX environment effects, it will not be possible at all
since it is only restricted to stereo channel signal.
As per current industry limitations, we are bound to follow the standard
one-signal output for all our SPDIF and Optical output jacks. This is
something that is currently shared by all vendors for all products.
Please note that all games are not dolby digital, even they are , it
will require certain motherboard to encode it to dolby digital signal,
which our soundcard does not support.
You can only use analog connections to gain true 5. surround for
    gaming..

Would you be able to tell me what product I could buy from your

Subject: RE: CLE - Technical Support Request (KMM8875697I6636L0KM)
    Dear Martin
    Thank you for the reply.
Computer games written with support for 3D audio do not require a Dolby
Digital Interacti've Content Encoder (DICE) to output multichannel sound,
with no exceptions. Sound devices that support the real time encoder
technology from Dolby will simply receive the multichannel wave file
output and encode it in real time to a somewhat modified Dolby Digital
bitstream. Creative does not support the Dolby Digital Interacti've
Content Encoder on any of its sound cards.
The only difference between a Sound Blaster card and an audio card that
has a real time encoder, is that you can make a one-wire, digital
connection from your audio card to your home theater receiver and enjoy
discrete multichannel sound from the game. However there will be a
continuous, slight delay, known as "latency", as the encoder is creating
and transmitting the bitstream, and of course the compression scheme
being used is "lossy" (i.e. not bit-accurate).
If you want to enjoy 3D audio in 3D enabled PC games in multichannel
surround sound with a Sound Blaster card, it is recommended that you
connect the analog outputs of the sound card directly to the analog
inputs of the receiver. This will require 3 cables for 5. surround
sound, one for front right and left, one for rear left and right, and
another one for front center and subwoofer. Though it requires more
cables than a real time encoder system, it will not have any latency
issues. When connecting PC audio to a home theater receiver, Creative's
latest sound cards such as Sound Blaster Audigy, Sound Blaster Audigy 2
are likely to provide higher quality audio than any Dolby Digital real
time encode system available for the PC today.

May i know what game are you playing when there are no sound from the

Have you done the appropriate settings in the game to achieve the 5.

    Hi All,
I am pretty much in the same boat but with an Audigy 2 Value Sound Card.
Removed some old piece of rubbish card (6MB Aztech PCI 288 Q3D using a Trident 4DWave-NX Chip.... yes about 6 yrs old !) in my daughters pc and replaced it with the new one.
Same error message i.e. hardware not detected... ihave already posted as im trying to find and install the right drivers. I have also tried the PCI-slot hopping etc etc.
    So what next people ?

  • Error with Sound Blaster Audigy 2 installation...driv

    Hi
I am really stuck with this issue and was wondering if someone out there could help. I have an Audigy 2, and have had it working for a long period of time. I had to re install Windows not so long ago and since then I have found a number of errors with my sound.
Firstly there are a lot of pops and clicks when either gaming or playing audio files. Admittedly the pops and clicks happen a lot more when gaming (multiple sounds playing at once ?).
Therefore I decided to come onto creatives site and download the new drivers for my sound card. I was still running the original drivers from the CD supplied, so felt it was about time.
I downloaded the file SBA2_PCWDRV_LB__84_55-R, which is the correct update for my card and tried to install it.
It comes up with a message:
Setup could not detect and Sound Blaster Audigy 2 on you system.
Please ensure that your sound blaster hardware is properly installed before running this setup program.
    setup will not exit
After that message i was a little confused, because as far as I was concerned everything was working ok, sound was coming out and was coming out correctly from my 5. surround system.
So i double clicked on the Creative Volume Control to check everything was on.
I'm not sure if this is an error but a long the top where you select the output device mine says:
    SB Audigy [A000]
I'm not 00% sure but I don't think it said that before, I think it said something else, but I could be wrong.
I decided to uninstall my sound card and re-install. Everything installed absolutely fine from the CD, recognised the card and no complaints.
So I tried to re-install the driver update, and same message. (And the output device is still SB Audigy [A000].
Again I uninstalled and tried the Beta patch on the off chance that that would work, still nothing, it does not recognise the card in my computer.
I definately have an Audigy 2 and it has worked properly allowing me to update it before.
Sorry to have such a long message, but I am really confused about all of this and would really like to get everything working properly.
Any advice and help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    fedepolito,
I assume that you are running WinXP with Service Pack 3. Did you do a clean sweep of all the Creative Software and reinstall from the A2ZS CD? Do you get sound then?

  • Sound blaster Audigy LS install probl

HI, I just bought a sound blaster Audigy LS, and after installing the card Windows finds the new hardware, but when I put in INSTALLATION CD I get "setup could not detect any sound blaster audio card on your system" I`ve disabled all onboard sound and old drivers, and tried ALL pci slots now as well. Im very sure the card is fitted correctly, the model no is: SB030. any advice would be very helpful. Thanks alot ` WILLEEEE `

    All,
In order to give any helpful suggestions to these kinds of problems we will need a couple of extra bits of information:
) Steps already taken to resolve problem
    2) System Specs including processor and chipset
    3) Model Number of the sound card
    4) Operating system and service pack
Willeeee provided most of this, however he has also done all of the steps I would suggest without knowing #2 and #4. In all of these cases it is worth trying to install the latest drivers from our website. I know that the original Audigy can be installed using only the drivers found on the webpage and I would suggest trying that first. Also make sure that you have tried different PCI slots in your system.

  • Sound Blaster Audigy installed - How do I play Auxillary inp

I connected my li've dri've with my Sound Blaster Audigy (). After doing this, I installed the drivers from the website below. However, I only installed the program "Creative Sound Blaster Audigy, Audigy 2 series and Audigy 4 series Driver 02.08.0004."
That program doesn't come with anything (as far as I can tell) that will let me listen to the audio coming in through the auxillary plug on the Li've Dri've. Does anyone know what I need to install so I can listen to stuff through my li've dri've?

However, I did not have the installation CD so I used the driver I downloaded, but everything seemed to work fine and sound played fine. Problem is, when I open windows "Play Control" I do have an auxilliary option, but sound still does not play out of the auxillary option.
I tried again to use "Li'veDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe", but it again gave me the message "Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster Audio card on your system. Please ensure that your Sound Blaster hardware is properly installed before running this Setup program. Setup will now exit."
Please someone help me I'm trying to get my new Sirius to play through my auxillary and I just can't seem to get this to work. I have the IDE cable connected from the Li've Dri've to the card and the black cord connected from the card to the driver and, with this same setup, the card worked fine on a different computer. Is there some software I need to download for the card? The only thing that came with the driver package was the driver and "Creative Audio Console" and I have no other Creative programs whatsoever.
Thank you for all your help. I'm sorry to be such a newbie, but I really want to make this work.
Why are you trying to install the Li'veDrvUni-Pack(ENG), if you got an Audigy series card?
I think the Li'veDrvUni-Pack(ENG) is intented for SB Li've! cards and not for Audigy.
If you have an "OEM"/"Var pack" version of the card then you perhaps need to patch the installation using ctcomp.exe
(you'll find the link and instructions by searching the file from this forum).
