Setup group and setup matrix

Hi Gurus,
Please brief me on the significance of setup group and setup matrix in APO and the effect of the same in planning?
Thanks,
Prasanth

Hi Prashanth,
Setup group tries to group products with similar characteristics.
Setup matrix provides the sequence in which the set up groups
can be executed.
Setup sceanrio is used in cases where in the time taken for switching
over from one product or group of products or category of products or
charactersitics of products which is called as predecessor to another
product or group of products or category of products or characteritiss of
products which is called as successor.
Say for eg, if you are having a scenario wherein
you need to manufacture products with low weight,
medium weight and heavy weight products.
You can define in the set up matrix that for switch
over from low weight to medium weight products for
manufacturing, the set up time involved in 2 hours and
the setup cost involved is Rs.100,
Similarly, for switching over from heavy weight products
to medium weight products, the set up time involved
is 3 hours and the set up cost involved is Rs.50.
Based on this information, system will frame a matrix
of information and use during planning.
Hope this information is clear to you.
Please confirm whether your issue is resolved.

R. Senthil Mareeswaran.

  • Setup group category & setup group Key.

    Dear Friends,
I am facing some problem in setup group category... Please check this scenario and let me know...if anybody is having any idea about this...
My scenario is: I am having a single work center... on which I  can do some machining activity. This WC is used in 100 material routings. but all my 100 materials are grouped into 5 categories. based on the dia... for example 100-120 dia one group 121-140 dia another group like that. If my two successive materials are belong to same group..then.. I donot have any setup time. if my two success materials scheduled on that machine are not belong to same group...then I am having 5 hrs of setup time.
so here setup time I can not mention in the routing...
this can be achieved by setup group and setup group key...and through capacity leveling... we can insert this setup time as per the matrix... in the matrix we need to define the setup times between two different groups..
And here the setup time is almost equal to machining time of one material. max.. they can do 3 materials machining only.. if there is no setup in a day of 16 hrs working. So manageement wants to minimize setup time... so grouping of the materials should be based on the Dia... this is the requirement.
I hope u understood my requirement...
Actually I maintained all the setup group categories, setup group keys in the routing and I maintained setup matrix also...
But during the finite scheduling through Capacity leveling I am not able to consider the setup time in the production order.... This is the problem I am facing... If anybody is having any idea...please share with me..
    Regards,
    Surya.

    Hi Suryanarayana,
I see that you have defined setup type and setup group keys and also setup matrix.
Please check the following under SPRO -> CRP -> Capacity leveling and extended evaluation -> Strategy -> Define strategy profile. There is a standard strategy profile to optimize setup times, which is SAPSFCT005 (Fin.sched.for./disp.acc. to setup group). Check the settings under this profile especially the check box "dispatch at best time for set up" to see if it works.
    Best of luck,
    Sharabh

  • T60 R and R error messages layout.bin setup.bin setup.ini and setup.dll corrupted

I have a T60 that I was only able to use for a couple of days after purchase on EBAY in the fall of '08.  Ordered recovery disks in spring of '10.  Just now getting to use them.
The recovery did not work.  BIOS shows 60 gig hard drive as 4.5 gig.  Had hard drive reformatted at repair shop, where we discovered that the HD had 3 partitions, one 50 gig partitution unformatted.
After reformat,  loaded R and R from CDs then rebooted to hard drive and loaded all 6 recovery CD's as per instructions.  Last disk (6 of 6) popped up error messages that \SWWORK\4GEOXCA1\LAYOUT.BIN is corrupt or unreadable, Run CHKDSK.
Then a message that said:  Unable to save all data for the file \Device\HarddiskVoume3\SWWORK\4GEOXCA1\LAYOUT.BIN Failure of hardware or net connection.
Following that corrupt file messages, like the first one above, for SETUP.INI, SETUP.EXE and SETUP.DLL came up.
The computer will not boot to windows, just sits there with a blank screen after the boot message.  I can boot to the R and R program by hitting the Thinkvantage (blue) button.
Can I download uncorrupted versions of these files?  Is there a way to check the integrity of the files on the recovery CD (some sort of cabinet type file, IIRC an MIS extension)?
Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hello,
Given the age of the computer, and the facts that you are not the original owner and it is having disk errors, you may also wish to test the hard disk drive inside it using the HDD manufacturer's diagnostics software.

  • PPM with incorrect setup group information

    Hello all,
We have a problem with information of setup group updated in PPM.
At the first time, the user has created the routing with the incorrect information in ECC, but when he has corrected it, the CIF PPM interface was not able to correct it in APO.
Even when we try correct manually using transaction /SAPAPO/SCC03, we are not able to fix the information. Always, the old value of setup group is considered.
    Can you help us?
    Thanks in advance.
    Januario Faria

    Hello all,
We were able to solve the problem.
We had two setup groups with the same SETUP_ID in table /SAPAPO/SET_ID.
In order to solve the problem we had to follow the steps:
    1.     Delete production and planned orders of related products;
    2.     Delete products' PPMs;
    3.     Delete setup groups from setup matrix;
    4.     Delete setup group;
    5.     Reactivate setup group integration model;
    6.     Reactivate PPM integration model.

  • How do I properly setup pin and gate swap groups on new components?

    Hi,
I've looked for some documentation explaining exactly how the pin and gate swap functionality works but I have not been successful.
I am trying to get pin and gate swapping working correctly on some digital logic components that I have created (side question - why no modern 74 series logic components like LVC?) as well as RPACKS and some connectors.
Is it a requirement to create a multi-section symbol to enable gate swapping?  I can't seem to get it to work unless the symbol has multiple sections.  It doesn't work by default for the RPACKs included in Multisim.  If it's possible to do gate swapping by putting the pins of each gate in their own gate swap group I would really like to understand what I'm doing wrong.
In the Component Properties 'Footprint' tab you can define the 'Pin swap group' and 'Gate swap group' settings.  I have not seen any documentation explaining this and frankly, I'm quite confused by it when using existing 74 series parts as examples.  The single section symbols don't have any pin swap or gate swap groups defined and the multisection symbols have only one gate swap group and then put all inputs in one pin swap group and all outputs in another pin swap group.
I would really appreciate it if someone could point me to documentation that explains how to do this.  The help files are quite poor in my opinion - they seem to only be able to point out the obvious.  The 'Getting Started,' 'Fundamentals,' etc. type guides don't mention this stuff at all.  The 'User Guide/Manual' (both of which appear to be outdated?) do not explain this and frankly don't have very much information about pin and gate swapping at all.
I'm hoping I'm just missing something obvious.
On a related note - I'm having some trouble working with some of these multisection components.  When I want to change the footprint or update the component after making a change to the component in the database I can't seem to find a quick way to do this.  It seems that I always have to go through a drawn out process of 'Replacing' each individual symbol section.  Is there a faster way to do this?
    Thanks,
    Kleven

    Hi Pat,
I'm working with some SAMTEC connectors.  I don't expect you guys to have these built by default in the library - they are somewhat custom.  But just so you can consider it, we are using the TFM and T2M family of connectors and I'm adding them as additional footprints for the standard dual row headers.  I'm having some trouble with the footprint for the TFM screw-down option since it is a very odd footprint, but I'm going to start a seperate thread discussion for that since I really just need to understand how to manipulate Ultiboard to get the desired result and it's really a different discussion.
As for RPACKs, I'm a little confused about how Multisim currently supports these. The Value tab in the properties dialog only lets you set the resistance.  Why isn't this more like the resistor value tab?  Since the Value tab is modified like a virtual component it's disappointing that it doesn't offer more capability like the other virtual passives.  In my limited experience I've seen the isolated-4 resistor pack used the most, but like I said, that is limited experience.  It would be nice if some surface mount footprints were added to the master database for RPACKs in the future.  4x0402, 4x0603, and 4x0805, concave and convex, seem like pretty common footprints as best I can tell.
Virtual components work great in a purely physical design because you can easily change the footprint in the 'Value' property tab.  With the provided RPACKs and LEDs you can't do that, so I had to create new components in the User/Corporate database.  Of course, the LED can't be copied so I had to create it from scratch.  But the RPACK could be copied even though it had a modified Value tab, implying it is a virtual component, if I understand correctly.  Maybe these distinctions and limitations are well defined but I found it somewhat confusing that there were several common parts I had to either copy and modify or build from scratch.
Since I created those parts, we updated to the PowerPro version and though I'm not certain, I think I can change the footprint in the spreadsheet view.  But in the standard version, I didn't see a way to change the footprint without replacing the component.
Also, it seems like changing the footprint does not behave quite like I would expect.  If I have a database part which has multiple footprints mapped already, I would expect to be able to choose between those footprints already supported by the database part when I try to change the footprint using the Properties->Value tab or the spreadsheet view.  If I need to change to a footprint that currently is not associated with the component in the database, I would expect to have to edit the database part, add the footprint, map the pins, re-save the component, then update the component in the schematic.
Is my thought process making too many assumptions here?  I understand that I am one person creating one design in one specific way.  So I'm sure I'm missing some usage cases or intended uses of the tool, especially since I haven't taken any training for this software and have tried to teach myself how to use it over the last 9 months.  And I have noticed that even for virtual resistors and capacitors, the footprint selection dialog is the same - a selection from the database and setting up a new pin mapping.
As for 74 series parts, seeing the LVC family would be very nice.  This is 3.3V-2.5V and seems like the next logical step for lower voltage support.  It would also be nice to see some surface mount footprints with the 74 series parts.  This isn't a big deal though - it didn't take me long to create the parts I needed by copying and editing from the Master database.  And since I'm not using the simulation models, that made it even easier.  Since I haven't looked into the models at all, I don't know if that would have taken longer to convert to the LVC family.
I've probably rambled enough for now.
    Thanks!
    Kleven

  • Setup Training and Event Management

    Hi,
Can anyone guide me on how to setup "Training and Event Management" module in HR?
    Thanks & regards,
    LOI

    Hi,
Training & Event Management runs between objects like business event group, business event type, types of resources like internal and external and resources also comprises of objects like room, different equipments.
Mainly you have to concentrate on the objects and the relationships which they hold.
You have to maintain settings for the above mentioned objects. and different infotypes.
First understand your client requirements then  you can proceed for trainings / events.
It starts with training nomination and ends with training / trainee appraisal between these two steps there are differenct processes which purely depends on client to client.
    Good Luck

  • Sharepoint 2013 setup group permissions

In my SharePoint 2013 test sharepoint site, I would like to know how the users should normally have access to the test sharepoint site. Would the user sign as themselves individually or would they sign on with a group id? Can you tell me and/or point me
to a url that will show how to setup group permissions and how the users should login?

There are two suggested ways to assign permissions on SharePoint sites:
        Using SharePoint Groups
        Using Active Directory Groups
Note: A site can be set up to either inherit permissions from the parent site, or to allow unique permissions to be set for the site. If the site is set up to inherit permissions from the parent site, you will have to Add Users or Active Directory Groups
to pre-existing SharePoint groups in the parent site.
    Using SharePoint groups:
    Click on “People and Groups”
Click on “New” from the drop-down menu
Select “New Group” Under “Choose the permission level group members get on this site:… ”
    Select “Contribute” and click OK.
    Click on “People and Groups”
Click “New”, from the drop-down menu
select “Add Users” Type in the netID(s) you wish to add
Click on “Check Names” (the netID(s) should now be underlined)
Under “Give permission”, select the group you just created and click OK.
Note: If site owners want their site to show up automatically in users' "My Links" in "My Site" then those users must be part of a SharePoint group and that group must be defined as the "Members of this Site" group.
    Using Active Directory Groups:
    Click on “Peoples and Groups”
Click on “New” from the drop-down menu
select “Add Users” Type in the name of the Active Directory group you wish to add
Click on Check Names (the group name should now be underlined)
Under Give Users permissions directly, select “Contribute” &click ok.
Note: You can specify multiple netID(s) or AD groups by separating the names with a semi-colon(;).
Below are list of permissions you can use for the site..
    Permission Level
    Description
    Full Control
This permission level contains all permissions.      Assigned to the
Site name Owners SharePoint group, by default. This      permission level cannot be customized or deleted.
    Design
Can create lists and document libraries, edit      pages and apply themes, borders, and style sheets in the Web site. Not assigned      to any SharePoint group, by default.
    Contribute
Can add, edit, and delete items in existing      lists and document libraries. Assigned to the
Site name Members SharePoint      group, by default.
    Read
Read-only access to the Web site. Users and      SharePoint groups with this permission level can view items and pages, open      items, and documents. Assigned to the
Site name Visitors SharePoint      group, by default.
    Limited Access
The Limited Access permission level is designed      to be combined with fine-grained permissions to give users access to a specific      list, document library, item, or document,
without giving them access to      the entire site. However, to access a list or library, for example, a user      must have permission to open the parent Web site and read shared data such
as the theme and navigation bars of the Web site. The Limited Access permission      level cannot be customized or deleted.
NOTE You cannot assign this permission level to users or SharePoint      groups. Instead, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 automatically assigns this      permission level to users and SharePoint
groups when you grant them access      to an object on your site that requires that they have access to a higher      level object on which they do not have permissions. For example, if you grant
users access to an item in a list and they do not have access to the list      itself, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 automatically grants them Limited      Access on the list, and also the site, if needed.

  • Libvirtd: setup questions and permission problems

    Hello,
i noticed that someone removed the section which states that the "user=" and "group=" parameters of the /etc/libvirt/qemu.conf should modified from the libvirt wiki page.
So i removed my qemu user and commented the "user=" and "group=" parameters from the /etc/libvirt/qemu.conf to keep up with newest changes.
But after this i can't start my virtual machines from the libvirt system session which i normally use. I always get the error: "Could not access KVM kernel module: Permission denied failed to initialize KVM: Permission denied"
If i add "user=root" in /etc/libvirt/qemu.conf and restart libvirtd.service i can start my virtual machines. But i think there must be a reason why someone removed this section from the wiki page.
Then i decided to test the user session, but i can't add storage or network in the user session, because i always get permission denied or operation permitted error messages. So i skipped further tests and decided to ask this here.
    This is my work configuration:
    - My user is in the kvm and in the wheel group
    - Nothing commented out in the configuration files below /etc/libvirt
    - I created the file "/etc/polkit-1/rules.d/49-org.libvirt.unix.manager.rules" with the content from the libvirt wiki page
    - libvirtd.service is enabled
If you need more informations, please let me know.
    Kind regards,

    Welcome to the forums.
I don't know exactly why the wiki has been changed, or if there is a 'best way' of using libvirt. But FWIW, my past and current working setup is as follows:
    - My user is in the users and libvirt groups (and no others)
    - The uncommented lines in my qemu.conf file are:
    user = "alphaniner"
    group="libvirt"
    - I have the rule 50-org.libvirt.unix.manage.rules :
    polkit.addRule(function(action, subject) {
    if (action.id == "org.libvirt.unix.manage" &&
    subject.isInGroup("libvirt")) {
    return polkit.Result.YES;
I'm pretty sure that covers it. I have no issues using the gui to add networks or storage including raw storage devices owned by root.

  • CIF Error: Setup group/key 10000427 does not exist

    Dear CIF-Specialists,
We observed a problem on the integration between APO and R/3.
If we want to send PPM's from R/3 to APO we have the following error-message: "Setup group/key 10000427 does not exist".
Transaction CFM1 (Create Integration Modell) ==> No problem
Transaction CFM2 (Activate Integration Modell) ==> Error!
We don't use setup groups or keys in our operations but we have created the setup keys in APO and R/3 (Transaction: /SAPAPO/CDPSC6 and OP43).
As we don't have keys in the PPM's it is normal that they don't exists.
Do you have an idea where we have to set theses Setup keys?
Can you give us an indication how we could resolve this problem?
    Thank you.
    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Dear Sharath,
    Thank you for your reply.
We dont't have setup key or group maintained in this receipt. This is the strange part on this problem.
Why does it search for a setup key if we don't want to transfer it?
I checked also the setup-keys in APO and R/3 and they are the same.
We did a copy of the test-system (where the problem occurs) some days ago. Is there a table in APO where it could have some old entries about this?
    Thank you for your help.

  • Starting out with FCP - import and setup question

I believe I have some good gear to begin using FCPX.
iMac 3.4 Ghz Intel Core i7, 4GB RAM, AMD  Radeon 1 GB, Lion 10.7.2
    Canon EOS 60D Camera
(Have an external drive although it is used for time machine)
    Living in Canada
Would like to start using FCPX (dowloaded yesterday) in a relatively simple way to get used to it in small steps.
Is there a list of attributes and hints that would provide any easy start for understanding the best way to setup the camera, preferences on FCPX, import routine including basic event management etc.  other thoughts like when should I consider an external drive versus using iMac internal drive ould be appreciated.  I have been waching a number of tutorials and reviewing the discussions groups and many of these do get a little complex quickly.  Not worried about the complexity in the future just want to start out simply and then progress over time.  (Not sure I am ready to understand all the codec complexities that get a lot of attention just yet.)
Will keep looking at discussion groups and tutorials to advance my learning although any pointers to well thought out "newbie" information would be helpful (5000 discussions is a lot to go through).  Also do I need Compressor and Motion out of the gate?
    Thanks

4 GB RAM is barely enough (despite what Apple say). FCP X is very RAM hungry.

Particularly with an iMac, I recommend you put your Media, Events and Projects on an exclusive, fast external HD formatted 'Mac OS Extended' (not necessarily journaled - it doesn't matter for video).

    Shouldn't present any problems : )

Depends on  what you want to do - particularly regarding drive space. If you're prepared to spend a little money on external HD space, then I would import all your footage as ProRes 422 - your iMac will find it far easier to edit and play back.
The downside of ProRes is that it takes up between 5 and 7 times more drive space than your (highly compressed) camera footage.
Also do I need Compressor and Motion out of the gate?
No - strictly speaking you don't - but I wouldn't be without either of them.
I don't know the 60D (I have a 5D Mk2) but I suggest the footage might be inclined towards high contrast and sharpening by default (as with the 5D 2). If the menu allows you to reduce the contrast and saturation (probably by as much as it will allow) you will have much more leeway when it comes to colour grading.
The footage won't look so amazing when you first import it, but you can do more with it. On the 5D 2 I get about two stops more latitude with exposure this way.
I also reduce sharpening to about half what the camera default - remember, the manufacturer wants you to be blown away by the first images you get from your camera - so they set the colour, contrast and sharpening at levels which are far too high for good grading.

  • Migrating from 11i to R12 - setup reports and diagnostics

    Hi,
we are looking at migrating(not upgrading) from 11i to R12 and looking for setup scripts and diagnostics which can tell what org structure has been followed in 11i. Is anybody aware of such scripts and/or diagnostic programs provided by Oracle. We also want to find out the the volume of data etc in various primary tables. Do we have some kind of report for this too ? Any help would be highly appreciated.
