Setup / install - where is the Gateway page?

I've got a Mac Pro here with the two built in ports. I'd love to use a Standard configuration and to have it act as a gateway. The docs seem to say this is possible and say that during the install process if you have >1 port, you will see a Gateway page asking if you want the server to act as such. No such page appears in either the Standard or Advanced for me. I've tried setting Ethernet2 up as Manual and as DHCP. No matter what I do, I can't get this to come up.
If I install as Standard, I can go into the Gateway Setup Assistant. But, this of course is not meant for Standard and sets the firewall up differently and appears to muck with things like the iChat server, etc.
Q: How on earth can I get this page to appear? Has anyone seen it or is it something in the manual but not in reality?

Craig, Here's the thing. I now want to use the Standard Setup especially after having our IT guy try the advanced setup and the workgroup set up with no luck, I'm desperate. Applecare couldn't help them either. On separate occasions (5 hours total) they could not get it working as a Gateway using the Workgroup or Advanced setups, and finally wrongly diagnosed the problem as a bad Mac Pro ethernet card (which by the way, is not a card because it's part of the motherboard. So they thought I had a "brand new bad Mac Pro" computer. Turns out, the more everyone tried to get it going the worse it seemed to get.
I decided to try a Standard set up and connect like a regular computer using one ethernet port only. Despirate to get functional, just today I did a clean Server install and intending to use the simpler config I plugged the service provider's modem into a Apple Base Station WAN (configured as a router) and an ethernet cable from a Base Station port into the Mac Pro port 1 or En0. Just like the picture. I started the software config from the beginning - Leopard Server 10.5. Soon I got to a pane ( I can't remember exactly from memory now without looking at my office notes) that I think asked a configuration question I didn't expect from Standard Setup which was showing a picture of the internet going through the mac pro (in) and (out) to a switch, a Gateway! This is what I wanted to do all along, so I said yes to that. Then the screen came up about using the other ethernet port "the one you're looking for". The next two screens asked some questions I wasn't sure about or ready for, so I used the back button twice to assure myself that I wasn't changing to the Advanced Setup mode. The next thing I new the software restarted and took me back to the first log in (information pane). Since it was now 5 PM (day 3 of trying)I decide to quit for the day, figure out what information I will need to proceed next time, Monday.
From what I've seen though, the software is pretty touchy, easy to mess up. I think I'll start again Monday with a clean install (time consuming) but clears up corrupted or misconfigured files. There was a point yesterday, my log in password would not work - even though it has been the same from the beginning.
Maybe the 10.5 Update will fix some problems but first you need to finish the install before you can Update. I'm prepared with the update 5.2.2 and the base station has one also, on cd in case I can't get on the internet to download it.
I am also wondering if/how I can use Apple base station extreme. The Standard config shows the Internet modem connected to the Base Station WAN and the Mac Pro into the Base Station. Then I want the Base Station also going to a 8 port switch so the switch can connect network printers and XP computers. The reason for the Base Station Extreme is so I also have wireless connections
If I can go from the Internet Modem into the Mac Pro En0 and back out using En1 (a Gateway connection) My question becomes, will the Base Station assign DHCP IP's or does the Mac Pro act as a router and assign the DHCP? If the Mac Pro does this then I guess the Base Station would have to be configured to a Bridge Mode and then the WAN port isn't used? The Gateway config picture shows Mac Pro going to a switch, and not a Base Station (router) at all. I'm obviously confused.
Please help if you can. I think we're on the same page.

Where does the personalized page definition exist in the database(which top)?From the functional adminitartor i see the path as "/oracle/apps/ar/creditmgt/analysis/casefolder/webui/customizations/responsibility/12345/pagename.xml" where does this structure actually exist in the file system? i want to know the header package or root directory of "/oracle/apps/ar/creditmgt/analysis/casefolder/webui/customizations/"
one more question the gurus is if i want to migrate a personalization from on instance to another should i have the same above folder structure?
Like i export the customized page from my T1 test instance to T1 file system now i move this to T2 file system...now in my T2 file system should i have similar structure like "XX_TOP/oracle/apps/ar/creditmgt/analysis/casefolder/webui/customizations/" for successful migration?

You perobably need someone more 'tecchie' than me to answer the first question. But, the structure will already exist as it is built into the application.
To answer your second question, to transfer the personalisation from one instance to the other, you can use the Functional Administrator responsibility. Your DBA will need to create a 'common' directory which is available to both instances. If the two instances cannot 'talk to each other', then he may have to FTP the XML files from one instance to the other.
When you export from instance A, the appropriate structure will be built underneath the root 'transfer' directory described above. In the target environment, you import the same structure.
As personalisations are at various levels, e.g. responsibility, function etc. Beware that at the responsibility level, the match between the responsibility name on the source and target systems is done by the responsibikity key. As long as this is the same in both environments, the personalisation will be transferred. If it is different it won't work!

I bought and installed Lion(10.7.3) in August 2011 but I still see an install button on the purchases page. Need I go through another installation process? If not what is the purpose of this button.

You no longer have a copy of the Lion installer on your Mac because it self deletes after it has been run. That allows you to download it again should you need to use it.

omgosh ! soooo frustrating everytime i download windows media player download complete box comes up & then i click on open and it says this file is not a movie ... so then i just clicked on the download after reading your suggestions and when done downloading my iphoto came up and it said this file cannot be supported .. am i supposed to have sum kind of software for apple ?? what am I doing wrong ?? How to get the Organizer page to install when only the Editor page appeared after Elements12 installation?

I Can't figure out if it is possible to retrieve/install the Organizer page after only the Editor page installed on Elements 12. If it is possible, how do I do it?

When I launch PSE 12 directly I do get the "welcome" screen first. If I then click on the Organizer box it gives the moving line for a bit, and then nothing more: no Organizer screen ever appears. However when I click on the Editor box the Editor screen does come up after the moving line starts.
By the way, I've long used PSE 10, and that still works for both screens, so I'm now having to jerryrig the post production process by using the Organizer screen from version 10 to access my photos and then drag them to the Editor screen from version 12 !
I bought PSE 12 because it accomodates/processes/edits in RAW, where version 10 doesn't. I sure don't want to have to pay for version 13, and Adobe chat no longer supports version 12, so any help you can offer would be wonderful !!!
By the way -- in addition, a very useful plug-in (Nik Collection) that i've come to love to use with version 10 doesn't appear with version 12's Editor screen at all. So if you have any thoughts about how to fix that I would really appreciate that too !

Where does the second page of PREVIEW CONTRACT come from?

I am using 11.5.10.2, and I would like to know where the second page of PDF output comes from when I select PREVIEW CONTRACT from the VIEW CONRACT TERMS window. It does not appear to be part of the layout template named "PO Terms and Conditions". It does not appear to come from the XML SCHEMA file defined for the "Contract Terms Data Definition".
This page appears to be very much like a purchase order. I have tailored the XML template for printing purchase orders, and I need to be able to tailor the look of this doument as well.

Well, I eventually figured this one out!!! There is a template (or more correctly an XSL stylesheet) that is delivered with Oracle. You can find it by using XML Publisher Administrator -> Templates, and looking for "Standard Purchase Order Stylesheet". This template is locked, meaning we can't update or replace it. It is also the format which you see (or saw) when you choose "Preview Contract". You can select 'preview' from the XML ADMIN template screen and you'll see what it looks like.
I also learned that there is a matching between "document type" and "Document Template" and also between "document type" and "Contract Template". And that the document type of 'PO' with document subtype of 'STANDARD' was associated with the "Standard Purchase Order Stylesheet".
I also found that
NM PO ADMINISTRATOR -> SETUP -> PURCHASING -> DOCUMENT TYPE
allows you to select a document type (like PURCHASE ORDER ... STANDARD). This displays a screen which has fields called "Document Type Layout" and
"Contract Terms Layout". This is where you can specify your own template (instead of the default one).

HTML DB v1.6 Install - Where did the graphics go?

Hi Everyone,
I just installed version 1.6 over 1.5 and noticed the image graphics went missing!
I also noticed my passwords were trashed so I went into the 10g Enterprise Manager and found the OBE user I created for the tutorial and re-typed the password. I then was able to log into the OBE account on HTML DB.
Can you tell me how to get the graphics back, and what other user's are connected to the ADMIN account so I can re-type those passwords?

Hi Sergio,
Here are the steps.
1. I unzipped the downloaded files.
2. I ran sql/plus and used the command as described in the documentation as the first example. After a short while sql/plus crashed.
3. I changed the properties for the sql/plus shortcut to start in the directory I unzipped the downloaded files.
4. I ran sql/plus again and used the command as described in the documentation as the first example. This worked and there was a success message displayed before sql/plus ended. I am taking for granted they have an exit command in the script to do that.
5. I loaded HTML DB in the browser and it displayed the login page but had no graphics. I tried to use the workspace obe, user name obe, and password obe. It said the login was invalid.
6. I started the Enterprise Manager and found the obe account and re-entered the password.
7. I loaded HTML DB in the browser and it displayed the login page but still had no graphics.
8. I was able to successfully log in as obe, but still no graphics. I was also able to run the application and the original graphics from the old templates were displayed.
9. I logged out as obe and tried the workspace internal, user name admin, and password indonesia (This is the password I set up when originally installing version 1.5 from the companion disk.) It said the login was invalid.
10. I tried to re-enter the passwords to the following accounts in the Enterprise Manager. flows_010600, flows_files, and htmldb_public_user. When I tried to login as admin it still said the login was invalid.

Where are the html pages located?

Can anyone let me know where the html pages are located? I have to send a webpage via internet explorer to a sharepoint server.

Right click on the Domain file, and select Show Package Contents.
This will allow you to drill down to the individual files.
Apple apps tend use packages for their databases - iWeb, iPhoto, Aperture are ones that I'm familiar with.
Also, you can place this file anywhere, and simply double click on it open iWeb - it doesn't need to stay in the Library area.

Setup Assistant: Where IS the darned thing?

I just had the guys at the Genius Bar update the OS on my iMac from 10.5.8 to Snow Leopard, and then updated it to 10.6.5. Rather than stick around the busy Macstore to get things configured, I opted to take the machine home and do it there, using the Setup Assistant as the store guy recommended. But where is the darned thing? I can't find it in my Applications or in my Utilities, and I only get lots of mystery files when I search using Spotlight, and I'd rather not open things blindly. So I guess I have two questions;
1. How do I find it and open it?
2. Do I even need to, if I was happy with the settings I had in 10.5.8?

Actually, it's a complicated story involving a failed hard drive, a failed optical drive, and an OS upgrade that didn't happen the first time around, but I think the end result was, effectively, a simple upgrade.
So that takes care of that! Thank you.

i am trying to download reader and flash but i dont see the install now button/link. i am sure to be at the right page but the link cant be seen. i am trying to use chrome to see flash based tv shows but the loading circle keeps circling. also unable to play youtube videos on the youtube web site. please help

You've been misinformed. DW has never been a WYSIWYG program.
The starter pages in CS3 were sorely out of date and inferior by today's standards. Adobe took them out of CS5 until better ones could be created. You'll find plenty of starter page resources below:

Where did the result page previews go?

I've only just noticed that, when I do a search (using Google) I can no longer 'float' my cursor over a result and see a small 'preview' of the page on the right hand side of the result page. I think I remember it was highlighted by two light blue arrows >>.
This used to be helpful when searching for a subject and a PDF result had it hidden within its pages; The 'preview' highlighted what I was looking for and made it easy to scroll through when opened.
Is this a result of the latest Safari update (6.0.4), a preference I've somehow mis-clicked or because Google has counteracted this helpful tool?

google have removed it - the 'cached' result is now via clicking a small down arrow next to the url in the result list
