Setup ITouch/ITunes for two PCs - one for home one for travel
We bought a new itouch for my mom this xmas. I am in charge of setting this up (yikes, the pressure). I want her to have access/main set up on her PC (Windows XP) for daily use, but when they travel, they bring another laptop (Windows XP) that she will use - music will likely not update, but she will grab podcasts, etc. I have been reading forums, comments, etc, but want to make sure I do the initial set up right - anyone good with simple, step by step help??????
You can copy everything onto one computer or use home share to put the same music on both computers.
The libraries won't automatically update each other. You would have to manually move any future additions to the other computer.

I got problem on installing iTunes. When I clicked iTunes out, two windows popped out. One said the procedure entry point CFAttributed String Create Mutable could not be located in the dynamic link library Core Foundation.dll. and one just said *Itunes was not installed correctly. Please re install I Tunes Error 7 (windows error 127) . I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. But either way cant work. I really need some of your help! PLS HELP ME!

The error shares a similar pattern to that in the third box, so a similar approach should work. Look for CoreFoundation.dll in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support, delete it, then repair Apple Application Support.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Hi. Is it possible to use one iPhone with iTunes [one user account] on two PCs?
I have a desktop at home, but I'm unable to use it to update my iPhone software. I've tried several times to get to the bottom of the problem, but when I update my phone, it goes into recovery mode. As a result, I loose everything on my phone. I eventually stopped updating my phone, but now I can't get some apps to work because my iphone software are not up-to-date.
I have now authorized my PC at work in order to update my phone. It has done it successfully, but I have lost my music. Everything else is fine. Will I be able to add my music files using the PC at home?
If it works, from now on I will use my PC at work to update and back-up my phone. I know I will probably loose my music every time I do this, but it is the only way around this problem. It just means adding my music files again at home from time to time.You can sync an iPhone with iTunes on another computer but not for any iTunes content, and you can transfer photos from a single computer only.
In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced or manually managed with music and videos with an iTunes library on a single computer ONLY. When transferring any iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first. If you don't have Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and you don't have manually manage music and videos selected either with iTunes on another computer, you can sync away. If you transfer photos from another computer, all photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first.
The reason you can manually manage music and videos with iTunes on multiple computers with most iPods is because most iPods support disk mode, which the iPhone does not support. Disk mode is not supported with the iPhone, the iPod Touch, and the iPad. -

I know that iTunes 9 allows a library to be shared on a network, but this doesn't work when one of the PCs is not connected. My desktop PC has the original library, and I have synchronised my iTunes folder onto my notebook using Offline Files in Windows 7. So all the files are there on the notebook, but I don't know the best way to access them without getting iTunes confused.
Any suggestions?Install a current version of iTunes. Unless you have a specific reason for running iTunes 9, there is no reason for not being on a current version.
The simplest solution is to copy the iTunes media folder from your desktop to your notebook, then using a syncing software, keep the two folders synced. The media folder must be in the same location on both systems (i.e C:\iTunes). -

This problem can be due to an Untrusted certificate. So you need just full permissions to certificates.

IIt's strange. I upgraded to iOS 8.3 and now my mail app won't work at all. It opens with a blank mail screen,mouth after two seconds or so it crashes. doesn't show even a piece of mail text. Please help me. Mail is such a major part of life/iPad. Thank you all!
Try to reset your iPad then force close the mail app
Reset
Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot. No data will be lost.
Force close an app
Double tap the home button. When you see the app previews on the screen scroll sideways if needed to get the preview in question on the screen. Flick that preview up and off the screen to close the app. Single tap the home button or home screen preview to exit the mode.
If neither of those work you may want to go into the settings, mail, contacts and calendars, delete your mail account (it only deletes it off your iPad, doesn't delete it from existing), then exit out, go back in and re-add the info. See if that helps to clear things up. -

Is it possible to sync my ITunes library between two Win7 PCs with an ethernet cable ? I use this method to sync my files (share everything on my laptop, then use SyncBackSE). I would be good if I could do this as it would avoid a lot of podcast duplicate downloading.

Okay I have had an iPod mini for about two years I already have my library set up yada yada yada...
Today my brother got an iPod Nano. I went through the setup process because I thought that you needed to have two seperate libraries if you had two seperate iPods, but after it had setup I realized that both of the iTunes accounts had my library on each....
What do I do? Can he upload my music onto his Nano or yeah I am not sure...Thanks for all of your help.the music in a single library can be downloaded to two different ipods. (mauve and attractive beast both connect to the same library.)

I have two users on one computer. I have iTunes set up for both users. For one user (mine) iTunes works just fine. For the other user (my wife), Itunes opens up but then locks up and shuts off. Any suggestions? Thanks

What you are after is a Cisco 2509. They come in two forms. One has 8 RJ45 async serial ports which you can use to connect to the console ports of a router using a RJ45-RJ45 rollover cable. The other has a single AUI port which you can buy an octopus cable with 8 connections off it. It too can be used to connect to the console ports of up to eight devices.

I have 2 email accounts, 1 from home and the 2nd from my work which was set up by me recently, I am not always receiving my mail from my work account & once I do and look at it the mail is being removed from the inbox
In Mail Preferences/Accounts/each GMail account, set up the SMTP Outgoing Server for each account separately, going into SMTP name/edit/Advanced and specify the Username of each account. The Outgoing servers must be two different servers, authenticated by the Username and Password of each.
Otherwise, the GMail SMTP server will change the from address to that of the account where the SMTP server was setup.
