Setup of a multi-instrument (doesn't work)

Hi guys,
I setup a multi-instrument in order to have individual control over each part of a Stylus RMX. I did it exactly as the Stylus' tutorial says but it doesn't work. If for example I select subchannel 1 in the arrange and play something or have a Midi region, the Midi data is received by every part in the Stylus. If I select subchannel 2 nothing happens. No matter what subchannel I chose, the Midi data displayed by the transport bar in Logic says I´m transmitting in channel 1
What am I doing wrong?

So you have:
Attached a multi-instrument to your RMX instrument track, and when prompted you "remove" the port setting on the instrument track.
Set the instrument track to Midi Channel: All.
Set the multi instrument port to OFF and channel to ALL.
Click on channels 1-8 on the multi instrument itself to activate them.
Verify that you have all individual 8 tracks of the multi instrument added in your arrange window (and not 8 duplicates of track 1).
And still, each multi instrument track triggers only midi channel 1 in RMX?

What exactly are you trying to copy and paste?
If it's MIDI data from one istrument track in Arrange to another, this should work.
If you're trying to copy settings (ie a particular sound) from one software instrument to another, that's obviously not possible as all AU's (Audio Instruments) have different parameters and are unique, so their settings will only work for each instrument.

Abap multi-mapping doesn't work

We have a 7.1 PI system and we are trying to set up a multi-mapping. This should process one IDOC into multiple XML-files.
If we do this with a message mapping everything works fine. If we do this with an abap mapping it doesn't work. We receive the following error message:

I can make it work by changing a value in debugging. In class CL_MERGE_SPLIT_SERVICE, method ENTER_SPLIT_SERVICE, there is a read on table split_data:
          set interface
            READ TABLE split_data
              WITH KEY
                param_type = c_param_type_inbound
                param_numb = <payload_line>-numb
              ASSIGNING
                <split_line>.
Now if I change the <payload_line>-numb to 1 each time the table is read, everything works fine.
What am I doing wrong here? Or is this a bug?

U505-S2010 N-trig (multi touch) doesn't work.

I had bought a brand new U505-S2010 March 13, 2010. It worked pretty well until two days ago. Since that, N-trig doesn't work either and no device found is reported. To resolve the bug, I installed the windows 7(ultimate), but N-trig doesn't work either, and no device found is reported.

Single finger swiping is pretty much the "normal" way the interface works. However, if you have turned on "Voice Over", then it all changes. If the nano is also talking to you, then you have turned on VO and you need to turn it off.
Easiest way is to connect to itunes, go to summary page. Click the "Configure Universal Access" button and make sure all the boxes in what comes up are unchecked. Once you uncheck, click apply/sync and you should be good to go.

Multi-cam doesn't work when I resync

Hello,
I have an hour and a half 3 angled multi-clip to edit. I did not have a TC generator, so what I did was give Aux TC, which has worked perfectly in shorter projects.
In this project, I gave Aux TC that start with 2 or 3, so as to avoid "negative" TC problems. Seeing as I have 6 clips, I entered each one as a seperate angle. I'll explain a little more: I had 3 cameras, 6 tapes, and some of the tapes overlap a quite a bit. (example: angle 1 continues 15 minutes after angle 3 is replaced by angle 4)
However, when I created the multi-clip, it wasn't perfectly in sync, even though the Aux TC were all given based on a pre-layout I had done in a sequence, and I gave the Aux TC based on the first image. Some of the clips were subclips.
I tryed resynching in the viewer, and pretty much succeeded, with the acception of one piece that was 2 frames behind. I would resync it, try to edit, and I would get a message saying that the content wasn't sufficiant to perform that edit. (Rough translation from French, because my Final Cut is in French.) It gets stuck, and I can't edit.
So I decided to live with the 2 frame difference (because I had spent 2 days trying to solve these sync problems), after all that angle was so wide, that mouth details were invisible. However, after reaching the point where one of the angles has no more footage but a new angle kicks in with the rest of the footage, suddenly I get the same problem again. I suppose that footage that was resynched later had the same problem as the angle with a 2 frame difference. I guess I hadn't noticed it before I started editing. It won't edit, "not enough content", and won't switch when I click in the different angles. Instead it gets stuck for a few minutes.
I can't figure out the source of my problems: the subclips where the aux TC is getting mixed up? Resynching that isn't ment to work?
Keep in mind that I have already succesfully edited 1 hour mult-clips using auxiliry TC.
Any ideas?

Thanks, Michael, I work the way you do, only a then assign time codes. But I'll know in the future to use your method as soon as I have the slightest problem.
And thanks too, Lydilove, unfortunately I had had the time to re-edit half an hour's worth, find out that it still wasn't in sync, and then re-edit again before I read your advice.
I'd still like to understand what isn't working.
Currently, I have edited an hour's worth and have half an hour to go, and suddenly, out of no where, one of the angles doesn't want to work. All I hear is an "error" sound, and no explination.
So I'm going to start putting Lydilove's method in place, but why do I have this problem?
(PS: the angle just "started" having footage in it, that's where it stopped working. Before, on the time line, everything worked.)

Page Setup dialog doesn't work

My generic Page Setup dialog box as e.g. used for Word etc. doesn't work:
In the Page Setup dialog, the "Setting" menu doesn't work at all, i.e. I can see the dropdown but it doesn't accept my changes (it's fixed on "Page Settings"). All other menus or choices are accepted but then the "OK" button doesn't work; it just flickers briefly and then goes back to blue. The "Cancel" button makes all contents of the dialog box disappear except for the frame and the buttons. Either way force quitting and relaunching the application is the only way to continue working in the application.
What could be the issue here?
A few specs on my hardware, printer and system:
- MacBook Pro (brand new)
- OS X 10.5.5
- Printers: hp LaserJet 4200 (main printer), iP5200R, OKI B6200, Lexmark E321. All these printers I used without problems with my old PowerBook G4.
The problem occurs with all applications using this generic Page Setup dialog, such as Word, Grab etc. In Excel e.g. all these functions work (it uses a different kind of dialog box for the page setup).
The problem could possibly have started to occur when the Lexmark printer could not be installed automatically so I assigned it another Lexmark driver, which seemed to work. But I'm not sure whether those two problems occurred at the same time.
What I tried already:
- uninstall and reinstall all printers in the Print & Fax part of the System Preferences. I uninstalled all printers and (without restart) reinstalled the hp printer only. The problem was still there, even upon restart.
- reinstall Word (first I thought it was a Word problem)
Any ideas??

Try to increase the size of repeating frame, as I follow this strategy in my report find the outermost repeating frame and increase its size to whole page than increase the size of your required repeating frame if you want to break page on this group, no need to set max record and page break properties(as I saw page break property never works).

Thanks for your solution, it wasn't quite what solved the problem but i remembered that i had a bit of salt water on my phone recently and spraying the charging port with an anti-oxide spray solved my problem, do you mind if i ask, how is the charging port related with the volume or/and speakers?

Anyone have a Multi Instrument setup for the MO6?

I just got a MO6 workstation to integrate into my studio
setup. I was wondering if anyone has this keyboard
(or the MO8) and has a Multi instrument for it setup
in the enviroment. I am trying to not have to input
all the names of all 16 instrument banks. I tried
doing an Google and forum search with no luck.
The thing is impressive sound wise and will be
easier to edit with the free software available.
Only wish Apple would get their support online.
Yamaha did thier end with the remote control
feature. I can put it into Remote control with
one touch and start controlling Logic from the
keyboard. Every button has a dual role, one for
the workstation and one for Logic. Very cool feature.

Sorry, I only have the original Motif 6 environment,
but I wanted to ask you how you like the MO6?
Have you used the original Motif at all? I'm thinking
about saving up to get a MO8 because of the weighted
keys, and having the ES sounds only helps.

I am primarily a guitar player but since getting this board my inner
keyboard self is coming out. Sound On Sound has a review of
the MO6 in Junes issue. I recieved my copy a week after purchasing
the MO6 and was glad to see their positive review.
I would recommend the MO8 for the tone generator alone and as SOS put it,
you got to love that arpegiator! Everything else to me is icing.
I will have to check out the Motifator web site. That is probably my best
chance at getting the enviroment for the MO6. Thanks again for taking
the time to post.

Multi-Select LOV doesn't work where 1

I have a form with 1 master & 2 detail blocks. Each of the detail blocks has an LOV, & I'd like both to use the multi-select LOV facility within Headstart. However, this doesn't work if there's > 1 multi-select LOV within the form, for these reasons -
1. If there's > 1 multi-select LOV, you have to include reusable module component qms_msel_lov_buttons for each. As this is reusable, you can't edit the name. Therefore you have duplicate block names, therefore generator discards the names specified in Des2K & uses default block names of MC0, MC1 etc.
2. Headstart code in qms$init_application sets the lov block prefix to ML_. At runtime, the form fails with FRM-40104: No such block: ML_MC1.
I can't see any way of influencing Des2k's choice of block name, short of copying the reusable component into a specific component. Is there any workaround in Headstart you can suggest, to make this facility work?

I am having the same problem. I have XP 2, and have
downloaded CS3 and have used a DVD of the full version, and after
the installer is done, the setup screen pops up momentarily then
disappears. I am at my wit's end!
All my virus software, security, etc, anything that runs in
the background is off. The only other Adobe programs on my computer
are Photoshop CS2 and Reader 6. My previous version of Dreamweaver
is version 4.
