Setup of ALE Audit in SAP Receiver System

Hello,
for a scenario JDBC -> XI -> IDoc,  I have to setup ALE Audit in the receiver SAP sytem.
I have followed the steps in the How-To-Guide (Handle acknowledgements for IDocs):
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f6d2d790-0201-0010-9382-b50b499b3fbe
However I just want to have acknowledgements sent back to SAP XI for a specific type of IDoc (source coming from the database) and not all received IDocs as there are different sender systems sending IDocs (some of them via XI some of them directly).
Is there a way to configure ALE Audit in a way ALEAUDITs are sent just for specific sender systems / IDoc types. I want to avoid that the SAP XI system receives ALEAUDIT for all inbound IDocs.

Hey,
This document describe how the handle audit the the sender and the receiver systems are SAP system, when one of the sides (sender/receiver) is not SAP system,
than the configuration become much more complex.
As of XI SP18, there are ways to control ALEAUD,

  • Setup of SOA demo in SAP backend system

    The scenario is the following:
I have found a WS that I want my customers to be able to call in order to query invoice information. The WS is u201CSupplierInvoiceERPByIDQueryResponse_Inu201D and is found using the ESworkplace.
I am using PI 7.0 and I want to use the Service Registry in PI to expose my services. As I understand it is NOT recommended to use PI 7.0 but the SAP backend (ECC) should be used instead.
What are the steps that should be involved?
    a) How to locate the WS in SAPBACKEND?
    b) How to publish this WS from SAPBACKEND to the PI service registry (SR)?
    c) How to make the WS "connected" to the SAP system?
    d) How can the customers "consume"/execute the WS?
    e) How can my customers browse the SR in order to find the WS? what is best practice?
    f) Why are the route through PI NOT recommended - SAP proclaims that PI should be the central processing component in a SAP landscape in these SOA times so why not use PI?
Hope someone can help me out.

  • SAP Discovery system support

    Dear all,
Do you know if customers who run a SAP Discovery system are entitled to any kind of dedicated support from SAP? For instance, via their regular support engagements such as Standard Support, Enterprise Support, Safeguarding or MaxAttention?
Or do they have to contact another instance within SAP if they require help with the setup or operations of the SAP Discovery system?
    Thanks a lot in advance!
    Best regards
    Gregor

    Hi Gregor,
The Discovery system is supported via CSN. For any Discovery System related issues, please open a CSN ticket on component CA-SOA-DS.
    thanks,

  • ALE Audit System

Does ALE audit system work between a non-sap sending system and SAP as receiving system. If yes, then how is the "audit table" and "audit analysis program" step taken care of?

    Hi Helge,
if you're using BPM in the XI
this is what you could to:
create a new processing code for inbound aleaudits
and change a little the standard function module
for inbound ale audits (the only change
would be a table in which you'd map
BPM names to just on partner profile)
this way if you'd be using a new BPM
you will only have to add one record to the table
and the processing will always be done correctly
    with just one partner profile

  • ALE using HRMDA message type - Comit not perform in receiving system

    Hi,
I want to use ALE to transfer HR master data between two ECC instances. I have set-up all the configuration; distribution profile, filter etc... I tried to transfer the master data using standard SAP report RHALEINI.
The iDoc is generated and transfer correctly in the receiving system. The final status of the iDoc is 53 - Application document posted. The issue we have is that the comit to tables is not happening. Infotypes remains empty even if the status of the iDoc says it was posted. We are trying to transfer infotype 0000, 0002, 0001 and 0006
    Anyone can help ?....
    Thanks
    Louis

    Hi Ted,
    Thanks for your answer,
Autorization is the first thing that we consider. We generate the IDOC by the program RBDMIDOC .
The job's user is the sap_all authorization. So it should not related with auth.
And this does not always occur. For example, two days ago it occurs, but today does not occur.
    Best Regards
    Hasan.

  • ALE Audit - ALE logical system

    Dear all,
we encounter an issue with an integration workflow that sends an ALE audit back to the R/3 system (Scenario:
    R/3 -IDOC-> |XI-BPE| -HTTP->Partner)
Everything works fine except the ALE audit from the process to the R/3 System.
In the receiver agreement we use a header mapping to map the Sender.
Is there any difference between usual IDOC posting (for which our config works of course) and ALE Audit IDOCs?
    Thanks in advance,
    Helge

  • Passing Changed  extended fields using ALE-IDOC to receiving system

    Hi all,
Please tell me how passing changed  extended fields using ALE-IDOC to receiving system can be achieved. Is it possible by Chnage pointer concept.Do i need to do some coading after data enters into receiving system as it is required while creating the entries in database table.
For ex. in matmas05 extended for classification and inspection view and then created using 'CREATION'
related bapi.Do i also need to incorporate the changes by change related bapi or ir can be handled by change pointer concept.
    Thanks.

    Hi Sanu
    1) Please tell me how passing changed extended fields using ALE-IDOC to receiving system can be achieved. Is it possible by Chnage pointer concept.
=> Looks like you have extended standard IDOC here. so you need to find User Exit or BADI for the Push program to populate the additional fields. Yes, it is possible thru change pointers as well.
    1) Do i need to do some coading after data enters into receiving system as it is required while creating the entries in database table.
=> Yes, as suggested in 1 try finding User Exits/BADIs.

  • Integrate the Org structure and employees SAP HR system to CRM via ALE

    Hi All,
We want to integrate the organization structure and employees from mySAP HR system to mySAP CRM system. We are also aware that the same can be achieved through ALE Interface between both these systems.
In addition to the HR Organization Structure from HR system, can we also bring over the Sales Organization Structure from R/3 using transaction CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE?
    1) Can someone , please let us the possible challenges which might occur when we download HR Org structure from SAP HR to SAP CRM.?
    2) What is the implication of maintaining an HR org structure and CRM Sales Org structure within the SAP CRM 52 system?
    3) Any _precautions) should we take before doing the download via ALE??
Please get back, suitable points will be awarded.
    Regards
    Ritvij

    Hi Ritvij,
Couple of things that spring to mind are:
    1) When you do the initial data load (PFAL) try to ensure that no one is amending the Org structure as Objects can be locked and therefore not transferred. (on one of our test loads the top level was locked and therfore all subsequent levels were just transfered and we didn't have a top level)
    2) Keep the 'forms of address' in CRM the same as the R/3 ones
    3) Keep the same Employee and Org Unit IDs but prefix with (for exmaple) EM and OU in CRM. (Through the HR integration config in CRM). This may also (apparantley) aid you if set up something like an Employee interaction centre in the future.
I will update when other stuff springs to mind.
    Cheers

  • ALE Audit

    Hi All,
Please give me ur inputs on this scenario:
<b>Scenario:</b>  File–XI- ECC - Data from File is converted to various IDocs and posted in SAP. (No BPM used)
<b>Problem:</b>  <i>Exception Handling</i> > > We want a message back from SAP system telling us that out of 100 IDocs that were sent,  ‘n’ were posted successfully and rest failed along with the error description. How can this be achieved?
<b>Possible Solution 1:</b> Along with the IDocs a proxy is also sent to the SAP from XI. Proxy has a ‘wait’ time and collects following information:
    No: of IDocs posted successfully,
No of IDocs Failed and there reason.
And then an email has to be sent using Alert Message to the process head with the above information.
<b>Possible Solution 2:</b> ALE AUDIT is used on the receiver SAP system and the error messages are sent to XI and the messages are collected in another interface in XI and subsequent Alert Management is used to shoot email.
Which solution is better and why?
    Regards,
    XIer

    Hey
    >>Problem: Exception Handling > > We want a message back from SAP system telling us that out of 100 IDocs that were sent, ‘n’ were posted successfully and rest failed along with the error description. How can this be achieved?
For this you need to use BPM coz File can't handle sync calls.
As far as i know,in both the cases you need to use BPM.
Note:ALEAUDIT is mainly used in a IDOC to IDOC scenario or IDOC to File scenario
    Thanx

  • Setting up ALE AUDIT between XI and R#.

    Hi Experts ,
I have a scenerio here. I know most of you will be asking me to google and search SDN blogs for the same , but let me tell you , I have already gone through most of them , specially the HOW TO  manuals.
Mine is a R3 to XI to Web scenerio.
Initial  rquirement is, R3 will trigger a delivery Idoc, and, if it reaches XI and failes in mapping do to any reason , it will  trigger back to R3 the ALE AUDIT idoc. I have gone through the documents, but I cant make out how to I connect the failure of mapping of the specific idoc information , and tigger the ALE AUDIT  idoc back to R3.
Can any one help me out with the scenerio, I just am unable to visualise the scenerio.
I have medium level experience in ALE idoc settings .
    Regards,
    Arnab.

There is no standard way to send ALE IDOC back to SAP R3 if mapping fails in middleware.
But this can be handled through BPM.I am not sure if you are from XI background or R3 background
The BPM design looks like this,
    Receive( IDOCs from R3 ) -
    > Block step ( Inside block Mapping-> If mapping success>.Send to Target application
If mapping Fails(System Error)>Mapping (MAP ALE IDOC with respective details)->Send IDOC to R3 system.
    Hope thsi helps

  • Synchronize / interface 2 SAP HRM systems.

Dear community, here at a customer in NL we would like to keep 2 seperate SAP HRM systems in sync. One of these HR systems is the source system and is called the parent. But there are a few infotypes where the child system is the source, this is related to Time infotypes. Both systems are equal in terms of release and patch level.
    My questions are:
-Does anyone of you have experience with interfacing in a simular setup? If yes please let me know what your experiences were.
-What type of interface would you suggest, if FTP is the method to send data across.
(and what would you recommend, e.g. if FTP was not the mandatory method)
-How to keep control ? How can we make sure all new and changed data is send and received correct in the child system?
Much apprieciated if you can provide some input for this case!
    Many thanks,

    Hi,
This kind integration is done using native SAP integration mechanism ALE "Application Link Enabling".
It allows seamlessly integrate SAP systems.
Please check SDN page about it: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/ale
For your case there is a special scenario for integration of 2 SAP HR systems: HR Master data distribution.
This document shed more light on it: http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/en/data/pdf/CABFAALEHR/CABFAALEHR_ALE_VERT.pdf
    Regarding your questions:
-Does anyone of you have experience with interfacing in a simular setup? If yes please let me know what your experiences were.
Yes, this is well known master data distribution scenario managed with ALE.
-What type of interface would you suggest, if FTP is the method to send data across.
(and what would you recommend, e.g. if FTP was not the mandatory method)
This is standard SAP interface, no addition development is need if you use only standard infotypes and fields.
-How to keep control ? How can we make sure all new and changed data is send and received correct in the child system?
During interface set up you define what system is master for what infotypes, then these settings are used during data exchange. All changes are registered with change pointers what makes sure that all necessary changes are interfaced.
    Cheers

  • Could not find coding page for receiving system

    Hi,
We have set up the configuration of RFC connections in SM59. We want to send an IDoc from a Unicode to a non-Unicode system. Message 'Could not find coding page for receiving system' appears. We activated some solutions described in OSS notes and added the required authorization to the communication user but it still doesn't work. What else can cause (solve) this problem?
    Regards, Jan

    Hello Jan,
    I had the following situation:
After seup of an ALE/IDOC scenario with another SAP but Non unicode system sometimes the outbound PROJECT idocs failed with the error message "Could not find code page for receiving system". Status of Idoc was 02. When reprocessed some minutes later with report RBDAGAIN it worked.
It turned out that for what'o'ever reason the connectivity was down for a very short time but long enough to get the Idocs failed.
That's what I meant with the error text could be misleading.
We solved this problem with a daily job with report RBDAGAIN for reprocessing.
    Regards
    Michael

  • ALE audit in IDOC

In respect of ALE Audit in IDOC
    1. All IDOC receivers send Acknowledgement.
    2. All IDOC senders expect an Acknowledgement
    3. Receiver communication channel is required for ALE Audit
    4. Sender communication channel is required for ALE Audit
I believe 1 and 3 correct. Please confirm me.
    thanks
    kumar

    Kumar,
I think 3 is correct ,  1 & 2 also correct but based on condition, please see below.
    <b> 3</b> -sure
<b>2</b> - Please refer the below doc ,Page 1
fyr :In general, acknowledgments have to be requested explicitly by the sender. However, this does not apply to IDocs. The following acknowledgments are sent back by default, unless the corresponding message type is maintained in an exception table.
<b>1</b> - Please refer the below doc Page 1
fyr :IDocs only return acknowledgments if the receiver is configured for using ALE audit.
