  • Internet Procurement responsibility error after applying patch

    Hi Guru(s):
After applying patch 5156915 we get this errro when we select i Procrurment responsibility:
The POR SSP HOME function is not available under the Internet Procurement responsibility.
    iProcurement is installed.
Any ideas would be most welcome thank you.

    Thanks yet again to Hussein.
I am a little worried that I couldnt find that same document.
I entered in ML "The POR SSP HOME function is not available" ....and that document did not appear.
Then I entered it with underscores : "The POR_SSP_HOME function is not available" ... and now I can see the doc.
How did you do your search?! I am guessing you used udnerscores or else something different? ? ?
    Thanks, and still curious,
    DA
By the way we are told to "clear" the _pages directory. I would do this with
    cat /dev/null > oa_html , etc ?

  • How to setup dialup internet connection(PPP) in Solaris for ADSL modem

I ,m new to Solaris. How to setup dialup internet connection(PPP) in Solaris for ethernet ADSL modem? will solaris recognise the ethernet modem?? I only have windows drivers for the ethernet modem. Where to look for info on this?

The setting you set in IE also affects Firefox. For example, if you set the following, then when Firefox makes a connection request to Windows, Windows is supposed to dial the connection:
Windows Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections or <br>
Internet Explorer Tools menu > Internet Options > Connections
"Dial whenever a network connection is not present"

  • Cannot setup mobile internet

    hello!
I have recently bought a BB Q5 and I'm not able to setup the mobile internet service.
my service provider (BEN - netherlands) does not provide BB internet service but does provide mobile internet service. I have followed their instructions on how to set it up but it's still not working.
their instructions for APN settings are to enter "internet.ben" as access point name and to leave the username and password fields blank. According to them, I should be able to set the authentication type to "PAP" but if I only enter the AP name (no username or password), the authentication type button turns to NONE in grey (inactive) and then I'm not able to change it.
I contacted them to report this issue and they also suggested to install the opera browser and gave me the instructions, but that's for previous BB models not for those with BB10 operating system (there's no opera compatible with it yet, right?)
I got back to them saying that none of their solutions work and they recommended me to contact BB to see why I'm not being able to set up my mobile internet connection.
I would really appreciate it if someone could look into this and help me solve it.
    thanks a lot in advance

  • Airport Extreme - IP Camera Setup for Internet Viewing

I just purchased the Airport Extreme N router and I'm trying to configure it to view 2 IP Cameras I have over the Internet. The settings are a bit different from my old router (Dlink DIR-655) and I can't seem to find any instructions. I have succesully set up the 1st IP camera and can view it over the Internet, but I can't seem to get things set up for the 2nd camera - but since I can't find any instructions, I'm just shooing in the dark.
Here's what I have so far:
Camera 1 Settings: Port 80, Port 554 (for RTSP), Port Range 50000-54999(RTSP)
Camera 2 Settings: Port 82, Port 556 (for RTSP), Port Range 55000-60000(RTSP)
    Airport Setup:
Port Mapping: I selected "Quicktime Streaming Server" from the dropdown
    Public TCP Ports: 554, 7070
    Public UDP Ports: 80
Private IP Address: 10.0.1.3 (address of camera)
    Private TCP Ports: 554, 7070
    Private UDP Ports: 80
Using these settings, I can successfully access this camera from the Internet using my public IP address.
I've tried setting up "camera 2" using port 82 and port 556 to match the camera, but this must not be correct becuase I can't access the camera. I really don't understand what the "7070" is, but it won't let me keep that for camera 2 - so I changed it to 7072. I'm assuming this is my problem. I don't understand what this 7070 means and what this should be changed to for the 2nd camera.
Also, I'm not sure what to do with the port range that I entered on my old router. I'm not sure where to put that range in the Airport router.
Can someone please explain how this should be configured?
    Thanks!

Just to be sure... are you talking about the new square AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS)?
    or the older round AEBS?
Only the new square AEBS supports a hard drive connected to the USB port.

  • Airport Express setup for Internet

Alright, I just want to make sure this cannot be done, as the documentation with Airport Express isn't clear to me.
    My setup is this:
    - Wireless Model (D-Link from Comcast)
    - 1 desktop hardwired (XP)
    - 1 Laptop hardwired (Vista)
    - All 3 above are in the Office in front of the house
I connected my Airport Express in an outlet in the living room, in the back of the house close to the back patio. No ethernet cable connected to it, just the Audio/RCA cable, that goes into my receiver. 2 outdoor speakers connected to the receiver.
I use my iPhone to connect to iTunes on my laptop, to play music outside.
So my iPhone sees 2 wireless networks:
    - Comcast
    - Airport Express
From outside, the signal for the Comcast (D-Link is almost unreachable, because it's too far. So I use the Airport Express, which is perfect. Problem is that I can't access the Internet with it.
Now, is there a way to configure the Airport Express so I can access the internet, without connecting an Ethernet cable to it?
The Airport Express is too far to have an Ethernet cable attached to it...

Guys, the Express is too far to have an Ethernet from the main base to the Express connected (unless I run a cable through the wall, etc...) but close enough that they see each other.
The only problem is that my iPhone can barely see the main base from my backyard, but the signal is much stronger when connecting to the Express.
Again, I cannot access the internet that way because it doesn't have DNS.
So you're saying that if I set it to "join an exisiting network", then I would only see 1 network with my iPhone and still get a good signal from my Express when in my back yard?
Or will I still have to choose which network to connect to?
Rememebr, right now, my iPhone can see 2 networks (Comcast and Airport Express).

  • Dual setup for internet and internal access

Goal: To set up an Xserve that is both hosting public web sites and internal websites. The server is currently connected to the internet via ethernet 1 and to our internal network via ethernet 2. It serves as a backup failover for our main web server and hosts an internal wiki. The wiki is getting more sensitive company information so we want to cut it off from outside access and guarantee that it cannot be hacked or otherwise seen. Someone mentioned a solution using partitioning of some kind to achieve this separation. I haven't been able to find information on this. Can anyone tell me more about what this may be or suggest a setup that will accomplish the same security.

Here, you have two NICs within one security context.
A security breach made via one NIC can generally gain access to another NIC within the context of a single operating system. Once the [security of the box is breached|http://labs.hoffmanlabs.com/node/1214] sufficiently to cause you problems (whether data exposures, deletions, defacement or otherwise), then the entire box is generally considered to be untrustworthy.
If the breach arrives via http port 80 (and that is a typical web server breach), then (once the breach is made) the box itself is compromised. The firewall block here doesn't get you the degree of isolation provided by a DMZ; a breach via port 80 inward or one of these recent browser-based attacks on the firewall aren't necessarily blocked. (Whether the particular web environment is directly vulnerable to a breach is another and open question. Some environments can be more vulnerable to others, but there's the common assumption that all web-facing and internet-facing environments can potentially be vulnerable. That also ties back to how the box is managed and monitored, and how fast a breach can be detected and isolated and sealed and cleaned up.)
Some operating systems feature technologies known as sandboxes or jails or such, and sandboxes (and jails) are not AFAIK officially available on Mac OS X Server. These are part-way between the default configuration and what's provided by operating as a VM guest. If you really want to learn the innards of the configuration sufficiently, you might be able to get a jail or sandbox or such going, but then tossing another Mac Mini at the problem solves it in what is usually a more supportable fashion than getting a sandbox or jail going and maintaining the configuration over Mac OS X Server patches and upgrades, and application installations and upgrades, and thus at lower cost.
The approach using a VM tries to avoid extending the exposure by requiring the attacker to breach the underlying VM to get further from the box, and approaches based on a DMZ and on multiple boxes also try to contain or firewall a compromised system.

  • Airport Extreme setup- No internet, am I missing somthing?

I used Airport Utility to set up an Airport Extreme network. I have a Comcast modem and a USB printer hooked to it. Both the cable modem and the Airport Extreme LED's indicate they are functioning correctly. My iMac recognizes the network I set up but I cant connect to the internet. If I hook the cable modem to the iMac directly I can use the internet or I can also connect using a near by unsecured wireless network, I just cant connect my Airport Extreme.
Is there a control in the system (Networking and/or Internet sharing) that I need to set? Any ideas? Thanks...

Cable modems need a complete reset whenever you make a change.
Push the reset button on the modem and power it down
Pull the battery if it is easily accessible
Power off everything else on your network...all devices....order is not important
    Wait at least 30 minutes
Make sure the modem's ethernet cable is connected to the WAN por (circle of dots icon) on the AirPort Extreme
Power up the modem first and let it run by itself for 4-5 minutes
Power up the AirPort Extreme the same way
Power up each device the same way
    Post on your results

  • I just repaired my sons macbook and I need to test it. Can I start it and skip the setup for internet and account names?

My son's MacBook pro needed a new hard drive.  He is out of state for a month.
I want to test it to make sure it has been fixed, but I cannot get past the start screens which require
an owner name, an account name and passwords.  It states the account name cannot be changed once
entered. I dont want to enter info that might not be his preferences.
Can I bypass this screen?  There is no "skip"nor "continue" button.
It wont let me proceed without an entry.  Can I bypass this for now to simple
    run through the basic programs?

How did you install the OS and which OS version did you install?
You do need to set up an account. I never enter my address, etc, but usually (when I want to sell a machine with a new install) set up a temporary account "user" with a password of 12345 with as little info as possible (it also helps if it's not connected to the internet at that point because it won't be able to contact Apple's servers. That way you can run it and he can establish another account when is is back.

  • Setup error - internet explorer 5.0 or later required

    Hi...
Sir, i face the subject problem when during installing hp color LJ 5550 printer with Windows 7 64 bit, I tried too many times but didn't installed and also didn't found any help from intenet.
I have the printer driver CD it did not work, i also tried to download the required driver from HP site but failed to install the required driver.
After all i have decided to take help from my brother installing the driver for windows 7 64 bit & hope so that i will get the solution.
    Regards

I include the "Automotive Diagnostic Command Set 1.0.2", "Labview Run-Time Engine 2010" and "NI-CAN 2.6.1" in the install file.
If I install theese seperately and install my .exe file the application runs without errors so I suspect that the problem is in the installer.
I have tried to install the application using the installer on five different machines, one of them compleatly "fresh", but the problem is the same.
Included is a documents with screen shots of my settings.
